Title: Question for me and others?
Post by: Ufra7123 on December 30, 2019, 08:44:03 AM
I am newbie here I wand to work for cryptocurrencies and learn it knowledge. Anyone tell me if I post some useful information of cryptocurrency on bitcointalk topics. The repliers can get merit for this work. I made a post today and two replies but no one get me the only one merit.
Can I ask in every post for getting some merits from people at the end of the post line?

No you can't. It is against the rules. The only way to earn merits is to post useful things and reply on point on the topic make sure that your post is informative and will help other members. It is still up to the viewers if they want to send merit to you no matter how good your post is.

People will give you merit if you deserve it. People randomly giving out merits for nothing completely destroys the point of having a merit system.

Now, let me ask you. Do you actually have enough knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to actually be paid to post? If not, then go get that knowledge. Wanting to earn without the knowledge is like applying for a managerial job that you don't know nothing about.

Merit only given by users if they think your post helpful or they are just liking your post.
You cant recieve a merit just for posting or replying on a thread it always depend on the users of this forum if they think your post  deserve to have get it.

Are you sure you are really a newbie  :o ;D
You are talking of merit and how do you know what merit does as a newbie with just 4 posts at the moment. Or you have been reading threads but I'm not sure.

My advise is for you to focus on knowledge acquisition as you noticed.

first, you have to understand the crypto then you can share the useful information about crypto with your thoughts here if your information usefull then you can get the merits here sure, but before you have known about bitcointalk forum rules otherwise it will be difficult to you.

Merit is a new regulation of the forum to prevent spam and I think it is a very good rule.
You will receive merit if the smerit owner thinks your post is useful so the only way you can get it is to try to learn and share your knowledge.
If you are new to this forum, you should read this thread first to avoid violating the forum rules.

Just posting anything here will never earn you automatic merits. Merits are freely given by other members if they think that your post is really worth it. Well, the only way to have merits is if you impress any member that has merits that he/she can give to anyone. So I am advising you to work hard, make good and quality posts and I am sure that sooner or later members will be recognizing your contributing effort for the forum. Good luck and have more energy!

if you want to get service in this forum, the most important thing for you is to have extensive experience or insight about cryptocurrency and then you have to make a good post that can inform the forum community or you can also create a thread like giving tips related to cryptocurrency.

You don't look like a beginner, sorry just joking, you have to keep trying to make better posts, at least to get merit you have to really make useful posts for others or help anyone in this forum, for example you might be able to make a tutorial or share good mind for beginners, you will be forbidden to ask for merit let alone beg for other users here, take it easy as long as you are diligent in making useful posts usually you will get merit from other users

You can't just ask people to give you merit. Because if it's possible then everyone should've been asking for merits but it's not how it works. Merit can be given to you by someone if he finds your post helpful or something. However not everyone easily give merit, it depends if you really deserves it.
You need to start learning some knowledge about crypto for you to be able to understand crypto and can create better posts for you to acquire merit.

I think that you don't need to chase merit at this point. You have to do a nice post that will help other users in their complications then people will willingly give merit to your account. Merit is just to mean weldon for helping out and you can keep gathering merit to your account.
He can go and chase for the merits if he really wanted to but he should put all of his effort in putting value and quality to his works. Merits are earned not given, might as well if you really need merit to rank up then you should be always on time in getting news and trends, seeks error in technicalities and be respectful to other's opinion here in the forum. You can't just ask to get merits.

don't ask, because the rules in this forum are strict and it seems like no one will give merit if you don't have benefits, make useful threads without asking so you will be given merit and that's the rule. so for you, multiply references first and improve the quality of your writing so you can get merit, so be patient.

It is against the rule of the forum. You don't need to ask or beg someone for merit in every post you made, there will be someone that will give you merit as long as what you have posted is informative/knowledgeable to everyone. You should focus more on learning and not rank up for now ;)

Can I ask in every post for getting some merits from people at the end of the post line?

that raises the question of why do you (as someone who claims to be new here) wants merit so badly? is it so that you can rank up fast and spam more on this forum?
if that's your goal then i have to say based on my observation people who take this strategy end up being perma banned within a couple of weeks tops.

a better approach is just being here naturally and not truomg to take the stairs to the top two at a time.

Not every post of you can get a merit. It's really up to the individual to give you their merit if they think you deserve it. You can read everything here so that you will fully understand how the merit system works Merit & new rank requirements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0).

I know how to feel, as a newbie it will be very difficult, but you can look at this statistics Bitcointalk Ranking-up pipeline- Those close to their next rank (lacking Merits) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5206035.0) and this [LOG] The ranked up members - Congratulations! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4850225.0). Others have done it, so don't lose hope.

You will receive merits if some people like your post.  And i think all you need to do is always post meaningful and constructive content even you don't get merit.  Because i know some people here will give you merit.

And my advice to you is create thread that useful or something that interesting to read and to participate.

That's not possible, try to be more creative in sharing ideas, news or learnings that may benefit others. In that way you can get merit if they will appreciate your post. It's quite hard to get but wait as sometimes there are give away merit post that you'll be asked to link your post and may consider your post. It's in their judgement whether they will give you or not. Try to share more interesting posts and it may came without you noticing it.

i think you will get merits if you are making usefull posts, such tutorials, information to people in this forum, hot news of cryptocurrency,  or everything about crypto who usefull so i think people will give you merits....... but if you just makes carelessly, people would not give you merits. so you have to start to make useless post to get merits

Definitely Not. It's against the rules. Please read the posting guidelines.

Merit can be earned when the giver was satisfied with your informative post. If someone replied to your post which make your post a clearer one or it supports your post to make it more understandable and helpful, I think the owner of the reply deserves a merit too. If someone corrected your post because it is misleading or not based on facts then he supported it with real facts, I think that owner of reply also deserves a merit.

Don't ever do that, know the rules about the merit system and you will see that theymos said that we should not beg for merit, you will only get yourself in trouble. Grow yourself, become a source of information(hot topics or latest updates regarding crypto) or bring what might help everyone.

Anyone can get merit OP as well as members who post replies. What matters is the quality of the post , are you writing something useful or just posting to increase your count. It may be possible that replies get merit while OP remain without merit or vice versa.

Learning cryptocurrency and blockchain doesn't require merits though, this is just for the forum. If you don't have knowledge to blockchain and industry you can just go around and join altcoin bounty campaigns like writing articles and social media to gradually learn all that is needed to know. Learning by earning altcoins will be a good motivation.

If I learned fully about this merit system my next question will that the yobit earning on bitcointalk compaign still working or not because in the signature page it shows an update message under the send to your balance button.

Basically if you are from somewhere with a native or local board here, I probably suggest you stick with the local board first, definitely they have rules and regulation there that you could try to read to know the basics, after that, that is the time you could explore the beginners board wherein you need to already enhance your posting especially the ideas you have in cryptocurrency. With the proper grammer and thoughts, people could recognize your post and will provide you with merits.

I appreciate the fact that you want to grow your rank by earning merits by posting something useful but again it depends as the information you post may be helpful to someone who might give merit wherein it might not be new to other so they will just ignore it and merits are not promised on all the knowledgable post as it depends on the mindset of the person providing the merits as well. don't be disheartened just keep doing the good thing and merits will be received soon.

Merits points isn't a thing that you would ask for! I mean you have to  earn them by keeping your posts constructive and informative to people, or if your posts unique and show up some innovation in it. To get more chance to earn merit points you have to post a lot per day and get more knowledge about crypto currencies, just don't spam and don't make your post irrelevant to topics.

Well that was a brilliant move … Seeing that you couldn’t beg for merits yesterday, you decide to try to buy them today:  2$ giveaway in two person period for three days (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213765.msg53483767#msg53483767)

Honestly, the lack of skills in that move is not surprising, but it does denote little intention to follow a moral compass, believing that purchasing a fast-track pass is the best thing that one can do to skip the line.

You will see there that each member is not allowed to begging.

Don't worry about merit if you have good posts. Merit sources will find out your posts if they deserve for merits. Or people who have sMerit will appreciate your posts once they think your posts are informative, helpful, and quality. You just need to make posts more and continuously. Regarding your previous posts, if you got no single merit from them, it means those are not meritable.

You cannot get merits easily. That's one of the main problem why there are lots of participants here in the forum. They cannot rank up because of merit and no matter how hard they try to post in the best quality possible. Some people say there are specific areas in the forum where you can earn merit easily but still it will not be easy to find that. In my experience, I always make sure that my posts are purely knowledgeable and related to the topic but still I am not able to earn any merit.

I have topic in Croatian local section where local users can report their good quality posts and I give merits for such posts.
You already have a lots merit giveaway topics in this forum so if you think that some of your posts deserve merits just report your posts there.
It's much better than write posts and ask for merits everywhere in the forum.
People don't like it and it's against the forum rules.
I suggest also to improve quality of your posts and to learn more about btc.

At this time, I even not know the method of how to give a merit to the people who make positive posts.
You first have two earn merits to be able to merit other users. Once you earn 2 Merits you will have 1 sMerit (Sendable Merit). That's how the system works.
Try spending some more time in your local language forums. Chances are that there is a merit source there who will merit you if you show any kind of quality in your posts.

But it doesn't look good for you. You have chosen to go down the wrong path and cheat which resulted in having your account tagged for merit begging.

You have lots to learn but I doubt you are interested in doing it.

Definitely yes if your posts are not redundant and includes useful informations or any tutorials that may interest many users here but  before creating any topics you should search first if the topic you are going to discuss has already been posted by others or not, creating repetitive topics may not help.

The way you are thinking to get the merits , you will end up with none merit. Getting merits is not easy and begging merits is even more worse. I am sure when you will get few or less merits in few weeks, you will leave and give up.
The best thing for a newbie is to learn and write without thinking about the merits and ranks. This way you will be able to rank up much quickly and also you will be able to write better and natural, when merits are not at the back of your mind.

agree with you, if OP want to get merits you have to post good information, news about cryptocurrency, advantage things about crypto etc
so people will give you the merit if they feel it worth to give, or another way you can go to beginner section in there any few people share their merit with some requirements

If your post or reply benefits other members, if it is informative, if your writing is nice and organized, then other members can give you merit if they wish. But if they don't give merit, you have nothing to do. Whether or not to give merit depends on their mindset.

You'll bang a hammer on your feet if you'd ask people to send you merits, it is prohibited here strictly. Don't even send PMs to anyone asking for it, else if reported, it may not be good for your account. It's not you who decides the usefulness of your content, but the forum users. Another thing, if you post something that's already been said a thousand times, how can you expect a merit over that? Next, don't even think of stealing someone else's content and paste it here just in regards to getting merits, because plagiarism gets you straight permaban here.
