Title: Is there any anonymous Crypto re-loadable prepaid card ?
Post by: protrader786 on December 30, 2019, 12:59:09 PM
Hello,

I was wondering if there was any provider that could provide a Crypto re-loadable Visa or MasterCard who has services running in Asia.

I found many services such as nexo, spectrocoin, rax card, uquid and bitplastic. All these have a lot of scam reports lately and they don't support shipping and services in Asian countries.

I also found a few individuals providing cards which were linked to some "anonymous" accounts and wanted me to send them crypto which they would refill for in fiat. But at any point, they can scam me as the account is not my own, might be a stolen one and i will have no clue to who the real owner is, that is they can also withdraw that money at any point. First owner is the real owner.

I was looking for a physical card that i could use in emergencies for small withdrawals in ATM's and for small purchases online. The websites that have KYC end up never verifying its users and locking their funds according to the reviews users have given.

If any of you have been using a service that is great and requires minimal or no KYC and is available for Asians, please post here, the information will be of great help to me.

Since you're looking for physical cards, I'm afraid you won't be able to avoid KYC. If you end up changing your mind, here are some services you should look into:

- Paycent (https://paycent.com/paycent-card/).
- Wirexapp  (https://wirexapp.com/card)(APAC region).
- and if you're from Singapore, take a look at Monaco/Crypto (https://crypto.com/en/cards.html).

The only card on the market that doesn't require submitting an ID is Localcoin  (https://localcoin.ca/sell/bitcoin-prepaid-card/)but it's only available for Canadians.

You are about 2-3 years late, It doesn't exist anymore. Even if you find a legit service you will have a low limit (you will be able to spend $250 at max). You have Bitplastic and Raxcard that claim to provide anonymous card but when I searched I figured Bitplastic is a scam, I can't comment on Raxcard but the website was ugly enough to avoid looking for feedbacks
All the other services will find will ask you to complete the KYC verification so it's not anonymous

I see, i don't mind getting KYC done, but many users from different services complain about submitting all the documents and still not getting the things done. I will look into these services.

I equally hate bad services as you do, but let's be realistic here. We mostly see bad reviews of services, well, simply because people exert effort on making complaints on social media in the hopes of getting their issues fixed, while a huge majority of the people who had zero problems with these services won't exert effort into spending some time on making a "omg this service is so great!" post on social media. As always though, of course, do your research.

True.

I think the time of anonymity is over, or it is at the very end, at least in the EU with a new AMLD5 directive. The situation in Asia may be different, but one can hardly expect anyone to offer an anonymous service that would actually be a money-laundering scheme. All services that currently exist have very small limits, in the EU it is only 250 EUR per card, and that will change to 150 EUR after the new year. So cost for card and shipping in some cases does not justify the amount that can be spent.

protrader786 do you have any local crypto exchange where you can sell crypto and withdraw to your bank account? This would be a good solution since you have no problem with KYC, but if you want to be anonymous only way is to sell crypto in person and get cash in your hand.

Since the "anonymous" requirement seems to be dropped, there could also be other card services you could check out.
TenX https://tenx.tech/ (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand)
AdvCash https://advcash.gi/ - you'll have to ask their support since the things I've read show different lists of countries...

In addition to the above comments, there are a few more on the following link: Plastic Bitcoin Debit Cards (http://www.bestbitcoincard.com/plastic/)

If any of you have been using a service that is great and requires minimal or no KYC and is available for Asians, please post here, the information will be of great help to me.
Here you can find which provider offers services for your country: Supported Countries (http://www.bestbitcoincard.com/countries/)

Take note:

  • I'm not vouching for any of the above providers [always check "Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)" board].
  • Owner of that website uses referral links.

*snip*

When talking about anonymity with centralized services, pretty much. Especially as regulations tightens up as time goes, it pretty much just goes downfall from here. Services in the past just got away simply because the government has ignored bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I won't be surprised if non-KYC/AML services like Binance goes next.

@protrader786 since you don't require something "Anonymous", why not go with something like Skrill? You stated that you need a Prepaid card for emergency "small withdrawals". I don't think the fees attached with these withdrawals justify getting a prepaid card. E.g Paycent has a $4.00 withdrawal fee + 1.25% Foreign Transaction Fee + usually a shitty Foreign exchange rate + Local fee of the ATMs + 1.5% Top-up fees. So if you are withdrawing something like $200 bucks, you will end up paying $15-$20 approx in fees. Plus there is no guarantee that these cards won't get banned or stop offering their services. You will be better off with a service like Skrill. 1% Top-up fees and you can directly withdraw to your bank within minutes... They do use Bitpay for Crypto Top-Ups that kinda sucks but other than that you won't have to worry much about other things. You will pay $5.5 flat per bank withdrawal. Their Foreign exchange rate is on the better side, you will get more than what local exchangers may offer. However, I won't recommend Skrill for greater than $2.5K withdrawals. They do have $10K per day withdraw limit but You will have to split up your withdrawals if you want more than $2.5K which means double fees but for small withdrawals, I can definitely recommend them...

@mjglqw yeah, it's a matter of time they make things hard for us.

The VISA/Mastercard logo alone for any kind of credit/debit or even prepaid card will be a hint that these cards will need some kind of KYC since both companies are very compliant when it comes to both KYC and AML requirements that even prepaid debit cards are still not allowed for anonymity. So if I were you you should drop that anonymity requirement behind your back since you wouldn't really find any reputable service having that kind of privilege lying around if you do all you will see are just scam services waiting for any potential victims that are looking for that "to good to be true" kind of offer.
