Title: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: RapTarX on December 31, 2019, 01:23:30 PM I wouldn't care much unless I didn't see the name David Chaum. If you have never heard of him; David Chaum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Chaum) is the inventor of digital cash- ecash.
I was surfing coinmarkecap & found the ads- David Chaum's xx Coin. icodrops link- https://icodrops.com/elixxir/ I really have no idea if this has been discussed or shared earlier. For me, it's a new thing & I got interested because of the name only. I didn't have a look at their website even; it's still another piece of shitcoin for me. AFAIK if elixxir was only available for private investors only and this project has already exist from last year but it said that will not create an ICO as elixxir has already raised million dollars of money from the investors who backed it. Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: TimeTeller on January 24, 2020, 11:58:14 PM Never heard of that project up until this thread.
And upon checking their app, the reviews are quite good and positive. As it is being developed by a legit personality, we are expecting a good track of development here. Can they raise their $15M target here? And also, never encounter an ERC 1404 up until this project. Does someone know the advantage of using this type of smart contract code? In an article I read that ERC-1404 is a token created by TokenSoft, I quote from the article that Does someone know the advantage of using this type of smart contract code? Quote ERC-1404 is designed for security tokens, tokenized securities and other tokens that carry complex compliance requirements. ERC-1404 is a token standard developed with corporate governance, banking, and securities laws in mind. It is fully open source, which is paramount to ensuring its security, quality and interoperability. For more information, you can read the article ERC-1404: Simple Restricted Token Standard (https://medium.com/erc1404/erc-1404-simple-restricted-token-standard-f71290a48faa)But need a lot of references about this token, because I also just knew about ERC-1404. By the way, the ICO drops stated that the sales of tokens had reached 8 million dollars, so that 50% of the target had been achieved. Even though digicash was a failed experiment, people would have seen him as a pioneer. And i guess they still do. Never expected that they will run sig campaign here. Remembered that I posted this almost a week ago but wondering why they don't have ANN thread yet?? So important queries can be answered by the team themselves. Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: Xsinx on January 30, 2020, 05:44:04 AM Wow! Never expected that they will run sig campaign here. Remembered that I posted this almost a week ago but wondering why they don't have ANN thread yet?? So important queries can be answered by the team themselves. Looks like they are well funded ICO Project paying BTC in their signature campaign. I am still hesitant to join in the crowdsale due to the lock in period of their tokens. I search altcoin token section and yes there's still no ANN for this project only their signature bounty announce in marketplace. Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: minairia3 on January 30, 2020, 06:00:38 AM They are still on their ICO stage. I wonder why they only used signature campaign for their promotional marketing for the xx coins. I just saw their signature campaign launched today and the rates is quite good. I think they should also launch a campaign in altcoins for social campaign and other useful medium such as youtube to gain and attract more investors. ICO nowadays hasnt trusted much so they needed enough boost.

Yeah, signatures does really work and we are seeing the fruit now. Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: Anonylz on January 30, 2020, 07:01:46 AM They are still on their ICO stage. This campaign is another good way of creating exposure of this project, before now i never heard about this project or the founder but as a result of the campaign am inclined to do more digging about the overall project and the team behind it, believe it or not this signature camping will also increase visibility, people are desperately looking for that great project that will make a difference to invest on, who knows this might be one of it, the market is full of shity project, so lets hope David Chaum's xx coin can be different. Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: Bttzed03 on January 30, 2020, 07:30:24 AM I cannot remember when but I first heard about the project last year and even joined their telegram channel. Th project is basically riding on the popularity of David Chaum being one of the "legends" in cryptography. I kinda like their strategy of not rushing into finishing the token sale before but it appears they've become aggressive now with their signature campaign. Let's see how that works, it's rare seeing altcoin campaigns paying in bitcoin and at a good rate.
~ It reminds me some crap coin which have already putted 1 year lock up period for the investors to receive their tokens. That's why elixxir can't even sell all of the tokens to reach the hardcap instantly. That sounds really bad agreement for me as an investors caused by my money will be stuck if i invest in there. :oI'm going to buy there's a minimum 1k and 1 year coin lock up I'm out. Yeah, signatures does really work and we are seeing the fruit now. Well they just started this signature campaign in the community and we all know that it is one of the most effective way to popularize or at least gain awareness of their project. So we should understand where the project is coming from, offering high paying rates for their signature campaign and not some other bounties that will take lots of members to spam this community. This is a good marketing ploy on their end, maybe we can see other social media campaigns coming from them in the future, so bounty hunters, stay tune. It's a very wise move knowing that this is the best forum and place to advertise the visibility of their coin through the signatures of their participant. Although I'm also seeing their ads on CMC at the top banner but the more ads they place from every place, it's a great exposure for them.Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: fuer44 on January 30, 2020, 08:02:01 AM hi
I tried to read the whitepaper but could not, had to contact directly to the administrator. I think a project will usually be open about information from what they will develop. And looking at the comments column, there is also a mention that David Chaum is a scam. maybe anyone knows more about this? I only see it from basic knowledge about a project, that the team will definitely be more open to their information. It used to be Elixxir coin on Elixxir network, then it became "Praxxis, David Chaum quantum-resistant currency", now it will become xx-coin which is an erc1404 that you can get on erc20 wallets They allowed some people to run nodes on the main network in the early days but apparently you had to go through a "beta" centralized selection decided by them + have equipment to invest in Elixxir of over $1,000 It is just not appealing anymore. This looks like a complex project, solving a problem that is really not moving users (do you really think people will leave bitcoin just because they want more privacy?), a problem that has also been solved by others. Maybe the only addon is the quantum-resistant feature. Sorry guys but I'm out Title: Re: David Chaum's XX Coin Post by: jmseigneur on July 07, 2020, 08:39:23 PM XX Coin Betanet is launching this summer 2020. Btw ist a quantum computer attack on blockchains already even possible? If he's right, isn't the whole crypto space lost, if some computer manages to manipulate blockchains? |
