Title: 2020 will be a material year for crypto. What do you think?
Post by: malekbaba on December 31, 2019, 02:59:36 PM
Honestly I think BTC will make progress , not only in price progress but also  technical development will be happened. And we, most of the crypto lover dont focus upon that point. It is Lightening network. The core team is working on it. The team will implement new changes to support basic multi paths payment. There will be 2 new technologies, splicing and dual funding. And both of them will improve the user experience.
And halving will make mining more expensive and production cost will correlates the ultimate market value of btc.

Bitcoin still has lots of problems but with problems come big opportunities. Price of bitcoin will go up if we see increase in bitcoin adoption along with increase in speed and reduction in transaction fee. I think these are the areas which need to be addresses before we see bitcoin becoming a mode of payment.

No one can actually predict what 2020 has for the entire crypto space and cryptocurrency market. We just need to have an open mind and expect anything. 2020 may either come with a lot of surprises or failures. We just need to keep our fingers crossed...

I'm only waiting for 0.1 sat/B tx, and maybe quantum crypto mitigations, but other than that not really much.

If anything, LN support belongs to wallets, ie. Electrum v4. How well (or bad) they implement it might alter its popularity. To me LN usage is a very rare situation where you somehow need "instant" approval. Most things can be bought in advance without the need for this.

Yes i guess core can still make things easier for LN, but its a lot of effort for something which is only rarely needed in my opinion.

I don't believe in mining to be correlated to bitcoin's market value. The value of things depend not on production cost, but on usefulness to those that buy it. It IS subjective. It is more valuable to me because i can do things i cannot do with my fiat. I am sure your fiat can do more things than mine, so you won't value it the same as i do.

Yes, its the sell refrigerators to Eskimos thing, not how much the refrigerator was to manufacture. Or, you are in the Sahara desert and you have gold but not water, and you are about to die and someone comes with plenty of water willing to part with it for your gold. You just don't care what that gold mining cost was... This is a fundamental principle in Austrian economics.

Bitcoin has had a rapid growth so far both in terms of adoption and price development. In my opinion the new decade will just accelerate the process. I expect new features and ways in which consumers and business together will be able to interact with blockchains in general. With the halvening right around the corner - well.. a few months away - I'm sure we're going to have a very exciting year.

My prediction is that start-ups will be the ones which will drive the adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain. We need fresh thinking and brainstorming on how to inspire and convince people that Bitcoin is the better and more efficient currency/store-of-value.

i don't think 2020 is going to be any different for cryptocurrencies than all the previous years. the only small change (which still is the repetition of the past) is that when bitcoin price starts shooting up in 2020 we will start seeing a lot of cryptocurrencies come out of nowhere and be pumped for a little while before dumping again.

as for bitcoin, its development is an ongoing thing. and it will continue as 2019, and all the years before. LN started 2 years ago and it has been growing. all other proposals such as taproot, schnorr,... have also been developing all this time.

Didn't someone say the same last year?

There was quite a lot of material progress in 2019. Price was around $3500 at the start of the year, it's now about $7,200. So double. One of the best asset performances across the world.

That's pretty good progress. If we end next year doubling again at $14,000, that will be extremely good progress too.

People are expecting the halving, this fact alone is big enought to dictate the price for 2020, this is what I think
BTC devs are improving BTC everyday, and 2020 looks promising, but we should look on how price will be affected by the halving

I don't think it's that certain, alts were suffering greatly ever since the 2017 bubble has popped, more and more people start to see that altcoins = shitcoins, and even coins from top 10 like TRON and XRP get criticized more often than they are praised - this is something that wasn't the case a few years ago.

Bitcoin as a locomotive pulls the entire cryptocurrency market for itself, and in the first place it all depends on the developers and the community, which promotes the ideas and technologies that Bitcoin is based on. Next year will be no less interesting and exciting than 2019.

And it will most likely surpass that $14,000 price point at some stage, but that's
par for the course so to speak, Peak's and troughs

Development will continue, trading and speculation will continue as will fud and fomo, more of the same...
but we hopefully will come out the other end healthier.

Bitcoin is already a mode of payment ever since, if you can remember the pizza guy he paid bitcoins for those pizzas and how is it that its like that bitcoin isn't yet a mode of payment for you? The reduced fee has improved from last year and this 2019.

But compare to other altcoins, there are more cheaper than that but it's bitcoin and you can't compare it with altcoins that's totally different to it. If 2020 will be the year of crypto, let's all hope that transactions wouldn't be delayed and expensive. Because the last time we've been on bull run, the network was congested, attacked and spammed.

Because a few years ago there are a lot of irrational buyers, lots and lots of newbie buying the hype. But they got burned in 2018, became smart in 2019 and not just pouring their money just like it is 2017. So maybe there could be new crypto who will try to ride the hype in 2020 or 2021, but it will have a hard time getting to investors because they mature and learn their lesson from the 2017 debacle.

There is progress, but I think it's slower than expected. Bitcoin needs to have progress this year or else, Ethereum might dominate Bitcoin in terms of real-world usage and adoptability. Though Bitcoin still has some of its glory and dominance, it still needs to improve and deliver the expected performance to be viable and to compete with other altcoins. Though they can always work hand in hand, the network shouldn't remain stagnant for this year.

There is a big and high hope that Bitcoin will one day be a global currency people everywhere are using. I don't however believe that regulation (the presence of) is the problem as opposed to lack of it. We need regulation because there are many people who are not going to join cryptocurrency when they feel that their money or investment in cryptocurrency are not protected by existing laws of the land. With regulation comes recognition. It is the lack of good and viable regulation that is the problem. And that is what China is doing now, no regulation no recognition the official policy is banning Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I could not imagine how the market will react if the China government will be announcing that they are going to regulate and therefore allow Bitcoin to be openly utilized and traded in China. There would be a big boom with Bitcoin if that can be happening but knowing China this is still a far off dream. Regulation can be opening a wider market for Bitcoin. You see, it is really the lack of regulation that is the problem and not the other way around.

The countries that accept bitcoin will not help Bitcoin increase, even this reason is causing the value of BTC to go down. There will be many events related to this market in 2020 and I hope it can impact new investors and make them interested in investing in this market. That is the only way to help this market increase its capitalization and enable Bitcoin to increase in price

Forget about China and to some extend Russia in the list of countries that are going to regulate bitcoin and utilised it.

As far as technical development, Lightning Network is the much touted advancement, but just like any 'new technology', it may take sometime for crypto enthusiast to adopt it, although it has took off as many of us are experimenting on it. Just imagine instant payments in 2020 thru LN. When we can transact as quick as it can be, without us worrying slow confirmation times.

2019 was positive for bitcoin from both side prices and development. I really don't care about price that some people predicting about it will go million bla bla bla. More important is how bitcoin community expanding worldwide. Bitcoin fully decentralized currency and it's just depend on community. So when community will more stronger then we don't need to worry about prices. It will raise automatically. Also we have seen some development on last year on bitcoin like Lightning network, hope we will see more developments on this current year also. More Merchants adding bitcoin as a payment option and I believe it will increase more in 2020.

When more people could use bitcoin for real uses like buy goods etc then more new users will enter on it. And that's how 2020 would be a wonderful year for bitcoin users. I am expecting more countries will accept bitcoin legally on this year. Let's invite more newbies on bitcoin and build more strong community.

Yes, the team needs to focus on the technical aspect and latest technologies in order to make it lightning-fast as it takes hours to make a transaction through BTC and when it comes to price we are all aware it will increase some or the other day but we need to make it more adaptable so that BTC can be more widely used.

I do agree 2020 will make things even spicier for Crypto specially bitcoin.

Loved to hear about splicing and dual funding, first time i hear of such stuff which looks really great so far.
About new technologies, it has always been like that during the course of forward / future time, evolution is the key in these days.

And you are right, considering there will be a halving, prices will get bigger due to the demands required by the miners and buyers.

There are numerous topics concerning on how to efficiently utilize bitcoin transactions in limiting its power consumption needed for each block transaction to be processed. With this regard, many said we need to improve our source of electricity but in fact, it is quite easier and efficient if we improve the technicalities of bitcoin in its internal coding structures. In addition, we could add more updates to better open up opportunities for bitcoin to be widely accepted throughout the entire world.

It has always been a significant year every year. We always see this kind of post. I think it is best just to see any progress this year and don't put too much hope on the upcoming halving so that we won't be disappointed. This year had already been great since there had been a significant rise on the market price of bitcoin, compared to the price last 2018.

I agree, mining is going to become a whole lot more difficult and expensive after the Initial Block halving.
From here on out things begin to seem centralized, a small few who control the majority share of the mining.
This is why I believe Bitcoin is open source, so that resolutions can be made in the form of better consensus algorithms, scalable blockchains, and any other problem Bitcoins original code can't address.

I feel 2020 will be a year of consolidation and accumulation price wise before continued exponential growth in 2021, as the technical and development side still needs time to catch up to implement improvements, but it doesn't seem that far off either. The hash rate for example is 700% (8x) higher than it was when Bitcoin was at $20K, but I feel the technical side isn't 8x better than the end of 2017, even if it's maybe 3-4x better at best. I feel the tech also has to reflect a $50K-100K Bitcoin value, before price starts to move in that direction.
Once the dev improvements have caught up with the network strength (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205261.0) (fundamentals), price will follow suit in my opinion.

If we will base our answer on the chart, I think it will be a difficult to determine. But everything is possible in Cryptocurrency due to volatility and because of that year 2020 will be a possible year for Crypto. What we must do is to ensure that we are always ready for this event. Predictions are good but being ready is better.

in fact, people are still trying to develop bitcoin until now, whether it's for technological or business developments. but, it seems like the development of bitcoin is currently still focused on the payment system and also the acceptance of other countries. a few months ago countries in Europe began to open the door to this technology, I think they will also try to develop this technology and use it to their advantage.

I am looking after the technical development and we need a good solution for scaling than the system we have right now, i am not a big fan of lightning network and i do not consider it as a solution for scaling but a side project but i am looking forward for another solutions and i am not expecting something emerging just like that but in the next five years, when it comes to price i am expecting a good year by 2021 after the halving but as a bitcoin fan i want the perfect scaling solution for it to become a global currency.

Well surely bitcoin has gone through some phase and they get more experience, and to put it mildly.
But again, the biggest problem is price volatility, leading to less application around the world, and what matters is that bitcoin is consumer-friendly and hinders bitcoin mining.
It is very important for users to be satisfied when using btc.

I think we're in for a change, but I'm afraid it's only going to get worse. We just have to wait.

Be prepared for everything that are possible happen so you won't regret because you are already ready. For example, you want to invest for bitcoin then save some money that you can use so you can hold it for another year at least you can you another money.

No, no one can say this last year because this is the halving year and not the last one. This year is the much awaited year because we are going to experience halving in the mid of this year and that will be the start of the another bull run.

I am expecting the same thing also, however, a guy said that LN was already for about 2 years ago? Isn't it a bit slower? Well, anyway it is understable because it was going massive usage and the project might be preparing for a worst case scenario. As for bitcoin, there might be some progress towards adoptation not for bitcoin but for blockchain as well, however market might remain stagnant as may be halving impact might come in effect later a year after then.

That is what people say to stay motivate and make crypto look promising. It is a long time I checked the price but when I open my etherscan this money. I bursted into laughter seeing price of ETH to have dropped to $130. The sad truth is that when there is upbit again and the price pump up a little, we shall witness many spec again regarding how btc will be 20k before July  ;D

I think 2020 will be the same as 2019 if steps are not taken to find a solution to two of the prominent limiting factors of bitcoin.
I believe that if solutions are provided to these two factors, there will be a scaling up in the price and adoption of bitcoin.
These two factors, I believe, are transaction fees and government acceptance of bitcoin.
Many bitcoin users use bitcoin only as means of investment and not for day to day usage due to it's hight transaction fees. Calculating the amount of bitcoin I'd have lost to transaction fees if I transact on a daily basis will put one off from using bitcoin everyday. So,  I believe if there are low transaction fees, more people will use bitcoin everyday and this will ultimately have an effect on the price.
Secondly,  government rejection of bitcoin is a great limiting factor on the adoption of bitcoin by the people of the country. This is why bitcoin isn't used for everyday purchases.

I think there is some but not that huge enough to move the market upward.  Now we are looking forward for halving that it may give a good hype and cater more interested new comers to Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is still a speculative asset so price increase is all depend on how strong the hype created by the halving is.

In due time, I believe Bitcoin will be known for its use case and being a currency rather than a speculative asset, and 2020 would be a good year for that.

I guess projects who have successfully raise funds are doing their job to improve the project, of course this excludes projects that are scam.

Though they are working on it, but we cannot expect that it will easily reflect on the price because if you look at the market, even big coins are also struggling, how much more the new ones, if ever they rise but it's gonna on a temporary basis because no coins that would consistently rise when the market in overall are struggling.

For me these predictions do really work, if we are just to wait and to wait then nothing will really happen. What if we try to believe in a prediction plus, support and share it, would it be better if instead of waiting we are already buying because we believe in a prediction? What if everybody do the same. If one prediction becomes lucky that many people believes in it, then the market price of bitcoin that we really desire to increase will really come true. It is making an act instead of just waiting for nothing plus blaming people who does their best to make the price increase by making predictions with basis.

Absolutely, this year is coupled with numerous developments for blockchain technology and bitcoin is off no exception. What i am really interested in is where we can see a real increase in the adoption and use of bitcoin by buyers and sellers. In addition, the knowledge of blockchain technology is also increasing rapidly and it would help people to really appreciate blockchain solutions that are launched in to the world.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has come a very long way in these past ten years. The original code has been modified, re-visioned, added on to so much that an entire market has cropped up around it with alternative coins. Some alt-coins started off as purely clones, I'm sure Satoshi had predicted this would happen being that the code was open source. Then some projects started to emerge with real innovations, not just clones but coins with new features and better consensus mechanisms. Nobody really knows for sure but this year could indeed be Crypto's year, So I try to remain optimistic in this situation.

Upon the same we are in need of further advancement to stay strong in the market. As of now lightening network is much concentrated by the team. Complete development will take time, but that will cause a big change in the market of bitcoin. As the demand keeps rising to the limited supply there will be more competence in hash generation which makes mining expensive with time.

Maybe Yes, Maybe Not. That's a good thing in expectation and theories, you predict something out of nothing. So when you expect a price for bitcoin then you have something to plan in this year 2020. Because having a plan and expected price will help you to execute the right things on how yo prevent losses and to gain profits this year. So that bitcoin will become still useful even though it is still not certain to trust bitcoin this year.

In any case, governments that today reject cryptocurrency will have no choice but to legalize cryptocurrency in their countries, while making certain decisions and adopting certain laws in order to recognize cryptocurrency as digital assets and legalize its use in society.  Of course, for this you need to wait at a certain time, because the century of high technologies is coming, where cryptocurrency will occupy a leading position in the financial and economic world.

I think Bitcoin is too strong and still in control by a few such as Roger ver, Verhees, bitfinex mother company etc, and price manipulation is going wild. They will pump and dump on you, and with the tether fiasco, this space once again is going to be the wild west. Important to remember if the current cryptocurrencies were a solar system, Bitcoin is the sun. All crypto revolves around it. If you control Bitcoin, you control the market, and people are influencing the market for their own gains. Be wise, make choices and strategies that you can live with, and done be the lambo.

Last time the halving happened they were talking about it on the radio even. So it spreads pretty far. People are really silly and give in to hype. When the price shoots up all of a sudden everyone is intersted in crypto and bitcoin, but after that happens the hype dies down and people are not as interested. What makes you say that? The market turned bullish in early 2016, it was slowly growing for the entirety of that year, and then it sped up in 2017, so early months of 2017 were already very bullish. It was nothing like what we have today with this stagnating price that has been the same for months and actually goes down compared to all the action it had in the first half of 2019. Maybe the market will become bullish soon, but it's not what we have right now.

I understand the point to be applied to the lightning network, then about the development of the transaction system using blocks. halving system is indeed very possible to add transaction costs, and even then because the value of bitcoin in predictions also rose. so the scarcity system would naturally occur, anyway we still have crypto that uses block and exchnage transactions that can be used to swap coins for cheaper transactions.

The truth is that only few government is allowing the use and adoption of bitcoin however some countries are rather adopting blockchain technology just like China and I am very sure other countries would follow-suit while improvement in LN  would ensure speedy and swifty transactions thus improve the use of bitcoin as a payment processor.

There is no point being all optimistic and then get your hope dashed because the reality on ground goes against every assumptions in making the prediction. Better to sound prudent by predicting low then getting disappointed with price reaching the all time high than to predict high with so much expectations and getting it punctured.

This year is going to be a challenging one for crypto for one simple reason in my opinion. Lots of countries that have announced the crypto project late last year would begin to see further implementation while other countries would join the trend. With this ongoing, I see the aggressive countries starts to clamp down on the decentralized crypto currencies that we have come to be used to and that will make it a tough period for crypto.

because for too long the market has been in a low position and maybe this year is a good start to go up gradually because everything needs a process to rise from adversity especially altcoin and we have to be patient.

Bitcoin still has lots of problems but with problems come big opportunities. Price of bitcoin will go up if we see increase in bitcoin adoption along with increase in speed and reduction in transaction fee. I think these are the areas which need to be addresses before we see bitcoin becoming a mode of payment.
Even there are many problems that bitcoin encountered for the last year and still on going, it always surpassed and create a big opportunity for the people and in industry of cryptocurrency. The current state and price of bitcoin doesn't determine where it fall. Instead, it is a bridge that comes along the journey of bitcoin. We need to see it as positive in this year. It will take advantage the halving of its supply. Hopefully it will goes up.

This may increase the price of bitcoin and may also be a reason to attract more investors. I just hope the price will continue pumping until the end of the year where will see double or even tripled price of bitcoin.

We are hoping and thinking that this year 2020 will be more materialize to cryptocurrency than compared to year 2019 which is more reliable and prosperous.
We the crypto community are hoping that their will be a huge impact that will happened to the market price and the technical side in which as well as the market price increasing then probably the technical analysis are also growing in terms of supporting the new and basic path of multi path payments.
This will probably will be gone good through the good result of the bitcoin halving that will happen on the year 2020 in which this year must be more material compared to other years in many terms.

It should actually be expected that bitcoin would make progress for this year considering the halving that is soon to happen. In terms of technical development, it is already expected that each year, more and more innovations will be made with bitcoin to fit in and exceed the standards of the investors and of the world. The two new technologies will surely be a great help so that the investors will experience new and more proper system as the reach their dream of being rich and ready for the future as bitcoin conquers the world.

well technically every year is a big step for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to take as most of the time they have green marks pn them in the first few months of the year. We can take this opportunity to invest on more bitcoins/coins. Technological-wise, bitcoin could see some development this year, we can't really say for sure what are those so it's best to be on standby for the meantime.

It is too early to say that Bitcoin would pump this year. Remember that most users in this forum back in the start of both 2018 and 2019 had been saying the same thing. Still, positivity isn't a dangerous nor a bad thing. But it could somehow give a false hope to those who are just beginners onto crypto.

With this, we need facts and some news concerning why cryptocurrency could be profitable in this year, I really do believe the tension concerning the US and Iran could possibly impact the market as people will try to find the best platform where they could save their money into, as a result bitcoin could be the best option to do so, price will definitely soar way up high.

It is a big moment especially if the halving will become successful where the new feature will added and it is the lightning network. 2020 can become a year if we will create a portfolio which consists of bitcoin and altcoins that in the top in terms of volume and liquidity. We can lose money in every investment if we will keep buying altcoins that have no chances surviving in the current market challenges.

From the previous year of 2019, the price of the bitcoin fall from eight thousand dollars came to over 6.8k dollars and that the bear comes out and many people now are holding their coins to avoid loss of income. Still, from the starting of the first week of 2020, the price of the bitcoin has a significant difference on the market price the people already predicted when January comes the bull run, and now the amount came from the 6.8k dollars are pumping now for over 7.4k dollars in just two days, and that is just starting of the year. Also, many people right now are hoping to the bitcoin grows back into 10k dollars.

There is a lot of chances for happening like this, Day by day Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is getting popular to the conventional society, It's also getting accepted around the world by many online platforms, not only that but also Bitcoin along with altcoin is becoming an important part of the payment system, but people's have a wrong perception regarding this issue, I think this type of misconception will get reduced with the change of time and when it will be a common platform for us for the purpose of payment system, so definitely it's said that it will be the future of the monetary system.

People are expecting the halving, this fact alone is big enought to dictate the price for 2020, this is what I think
BTC devs are improving BTC everyday, and 2020 looks promising, but we should look on how price will be affected by the halving
We are currently going through a very sharp increase in the price of bitcoin, it is still not enough to tell to us that a new bull market has started but without a doubt the halving is already having an effect on the price of bitcoin, the real question is if what we are seeing can be maintained for the long term, and that seems difficult to me since the growing is simply to abrupt to be anything other than manufactured by the whales, but I could change my opinion if we can maintain this growth for some weeks.

Its good that bitcoin and other altcoins are pumping now, and not just about giving false hope, its encouraging them to trust the system because we all know that bitcoin will go further. Always be positive and we saw the pump during 2019 up to $13k and i believe we can go beyond that price again.
There is such a possibility and now I see the market starting to increase and especially bitcoin, and I hope the increase in bitcoin exceeds the highest increase in 2019.
and in my opinion it's time bitcoin not to give false hope to those who are newly involved in crypto and the current increase will make them even more excited and trust it, and hopefully this year's bitcoin rise will bring altcoin up.

Those who held long term, made fortune. BTC is already considered as most profitable asset. Those who invested into btc on 2014 to 2016 and made 20x profit in 2017. Even in dull season, people bought btc at 3k to 4k range and they already have made 100% profit. So far BTC trading is profitable but certainly there are exceptions.

they think will happen in the aftermath, jts just going to get a lot of hype
and people are going to react on it and it could positively affect BTC in 2020

But the halving moment can also be a very important turning point, as in previous periods. Whether slow or fast, up or down, clearly important changes will occur. Innovations continue to be developed by observers of bitcoin and cryptocurrency to increase their effectiveness in everyday life. We just need to monitor it, if there is an opportunity then come along, if not then leave. As simple as that we apply it.

make progress not only in terms of price. But it is expected that progress will occur on the other side such as adoption and
technical. We all indeed not only expect the price of bitcoin to rise high, but bitcoin can also be used as payment. Especially the
online store is expected to be able to adopt bitcoin. Hopefully in 2020 all our desires can be achieved.

You may have noticed that the bearish market of 2018,19 has been significantly reduced.
Bitcoin has been able to overcome a lot of this economic downturn within the past two years.
In 2020 I expect bitcoin will surpass previous ATH cause if you look at the market maximum altcoin trading is shrunk and bitcoin trading is growing day by day, Now The crypto landing market is stronger than past, The most important thing is Global macro investors are starting to lean towards bitcoin.
All in all a significant bitcoin revolution is suspected in 2020.

Heh heh, seriously.

Maybe it's because it's the start of a new decade, but I've been hearing a lot about how hot bitcoin is going to be this year--and maybe also because there's the block reward halving, too.  I certainly hope bitcoin performs well in 2020, but there's nothing except the halving to suggest that it has to be a good year for bitcoin, altcoins, or anything else.  However, bitcoin did start the year off pretty well and I'm happy to see it above $8k.  Whether it remains above that level is anyone's guess.

As an aside, I'm more concerned about nuclear war right now (or a major war without nukes) that bitcoin's ups and downs.  True, I'll have one eye on the crypto market but I'm hoping civilization doesn't come to an end before the impeachment proceedings.

Yep, last year was different, we started slow and pick up everything around April. But with the halving just around the corner in 2020, could be another scenario playing along. Started around $8k and push even further as we gets closer or at least post halving. So it's an interesting year for us (step aside the geo-politics thingy or it's supposedly positive effects on BTC ecosystem).

I also think that this new decade will give BTCitcoin and the crypto market a positive turn. We just need the community to start accepting large-scale Bitcoin in those nations where regulations are not an obstacle and that they believe that adoption is a way out that can recover their economy and so also allowing the rise of emerging markets.
That would be a great start for the mass adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Today there are projects that are implementing DAG Network in their applications to solve the bitcoin problem scalability in the blockchain.
The result is surprising faster and cheaper. You can make a transaction in milliseconds with almost zero fees.

Most investors only go long so by definition they are eternal optimists, they will always believe that the price is going to go up no matter what, I remember reading the same in 2018 and bitcoin was close to 20k at the time, instead of being worried about a potential crash which is what actually happened, people were thinking about the potential for bitcoin to keep going up which in retrospective was completely ridiculous, what we were thinking? But that is just the psychology of the markets, most people will always want bitcoin to go up and that is never going to change.

Over the last ten years, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have come a very long way. The initial code was updated, revamped, applied to so much that it was surrounded by an entire market of alternate coins. Several alt-coins started as mere copies, I'm sure that Satoshi had expected that this would happen because the code was open source. Then certain ventures began to emerge with actual developments, not just clones, but coins with new features and improved structures for consensus. No one really knows for sure, but this year could indeed be the year of Crypto, so in this situation I try to remain hopeful.

There are various topics related to how Bitcoin transactions can be used effectively to reduce their power consumption needed to process each block transaction. In this regard, many have said that we need to improve our electricity source, but in fact, improving the technicalities of bitcoin in its internal coding frameworks is quite easier and more efficient. We could also add further updates to help open up opportunities for Bitcoin to be widely accepted worldwide. So i believe a lot of development this year will be focused on the mining changes.

In 2020 there will be an increase again in the price of bitcoin on the market, maybe this is the beginning of bitcoin history will repeat in 2017 besides that there will be a reduction in bitcoin this year. This increase will at least have an impact on all altcoin and it is likely that altcoin will also find its season later. It looks slow, but this is a process. Bitcoin prices are slowly going up, but this is certain.

Well, we are currently now into the year 2020 in which right after a couple of days after the New Year's celebration, the prices of the cryptocurrencies existing in the crypto market have risen up which makes it a good indication of a good year ahead of us. The great improvement was still obvious if you will observe the price behavior of the cryptocurrencies specially for the part of Bitcoin that from $6,500 last year have risen up into $9,500 price range which is the highest price it have acquired for this early stage of this year wherein we are just into the first week of this year's second month. Improvement is not just being seen on the part of Bitcoin but also into the top Altcoins which is really good. Hoping that more positive happenings will soon to come that can trigger the continuous rise up into the prices of all cryptocurrencies not just Bitcoin alone but also with Altcoins as well.
