Title: How many ICOs you know launched their product and are doing well?
Post by: PayCoinly on December 31, 2019, 08:58:27 PM
Just for the statistics. How many ICos did you witness or partook in that really launched their product and are successful till date?

We are just crurious.!

Edit: Am surprised that so many are listing projects that were listed on exchanges, that doesn't make it successful! I mean real projects we can use, adding value to the crypto workd. Not just a coin.

Maybe 10% of icos are launched their products and still doing well in crypto market like eth, nxt, ioat, neo, lisk and some more but 90% icos filled to launch their products due to scam companies and stolen investors funds and now those coins no value in crypto market and be come shitcoins now.

its great to have a healthy ROI, isnt that what investors require from an ICO
but its also a must for an ICO to have a real world useable product, this proves
that the idea, technology and development was sucessful

I'm surprised with QTUM as I have followed their thread for a while.
Accusations back and forth, and yet, they thrive.
But, the number of successful projects is very little as compared to failed ones.
I only know few projects that really deliver their product and are doing well.

If we are talking about the 100% working product that comes from ico and i just believe if that should be less than 300 or 200 or even less than it. As far as i know even not so many icos can create a fully working product. Some icos can create a product but not 100% and that means if that is still a prototype without any usefulness.
So far the percentage of icos that launched the working product till this date less than 3% of the total coins in marketcap.
ROI doesn't mean if the coin successfully created a product.

I missed the run for QTUM and it's true that only few projects became successful with their products. While the rest are baseless and were just brought through the hype that it had before because of the very good marketing they had.
1. NXT — 1,265,555% ROI
This is surprising, 1 million percent for ROI. That's huge phew!

Until now, no ICO I participated in survived. even if it survives, their project has a price that is far from the initial launch. the most successful project I participated in was the CAPPACITY project. at launch, I made a profit of more than $7,000 with capital of $700. but today, I see it is very bad. and today's ICO project is worse.

Here’s the easy list for you i only know few altcoins but I didn’t know the percentage of their ROI. I’m happy that these coins was able to survive the competition and I do hope that this is not the end of their ERA and i wish them to be more profitable in the future. I’m still looking for an ICO like this right now, i hope there’s a new big project in 2020.
Many ICO have biggest Returns On Investment (ROI) but you selling quiet without think for holding more than one year, I joined with many ICO but always sell after coin listing on exchange market and can raise with higher price about 10% to 20% from ICO price, if you keep for holding price will down increase from ICO and you will loss your assets on ICO investment.

Yes, these are the best choice coins that have been proven to provide benefits for investors. Moreover, I know all these coins from the beginning they came out. So remember the price of eth at the beginning, when compared with current prices, the benefits are already thousands percent.
But for projects in 2019 I do not really understand and know very well because I am not too focused this year in diving into the situation.

I have been here for years and I cannot remember how many ICOs that successfully launched their product and are still active until today. What I can remember is that Dent is still active and very much operational until now. The majority of the ICOs, even including those that have launched their products, are already gone from the market.

i may not agree for 10% as i see in the market there is only 5% or lower make thier promise product , more of them is just want money from ICO and no real plan for the next development. Mostly all success that havebthier own product is exchange.

I took part in bounty campaigns for at least 4 dozen ICOs, and out of that around 20% got listed eventually. The remaining (80%) never achieved the soft-cap and didn't even went for listing. And among the handful of the projects which managed to achieve the soft-cap, only a very few such as Mindol and IOUX gave positive returns. Others such as EBTC, KWH, RPM and WPP went down upon their listing.

I have not taken part from the ICO until now because there are many who fail and the products they launch do not match expectations because of the lack of trust in the sale of their products with ICO.
It is different from 2017 because at that time again the booming became almost all of the sales in a flash, with the change in time the ICO now is not like it used to be a lot of scamer happening and finally investors leave it.

Well it is a bit hard to actually consider the many ico's we.have witness or took part in as success full since success has different meaning, however, i think any ico project that manage to lunch a useable product and it is use by people can be seen as successful because in my opinion just an increase in price alone is not enough to determine success.

I do agree, 10% is too high, 5% or lower is enough estimation.
And that is how business works. They are after for instant money and not for the long term project. They actually have their plan but they just don't want to continue and just enjoy the fortune that they have collected.

Lisk isn't doing well by my rating. It's barely 55cents at the moment and I don't think anyone would consider that being a positive when we know it did $39.31 in Jan 07, 2018 as its ATH.

thousands of ICOs have had much success since the ICO was first born and which have survived to the present are still thousands but the ICO was destroyed by many frauds because the team or escrow at that time and now the issue of ICO will be completely eliminated, I think IEO and ITO are worthy to replace ICO because they take names or hold on to a famous exchange.

The list provided by seoincorporation has an asterisk to it, if you were to invest during the initial funding process and you could hold that when it reached the all time high valuation then you would have got that much profit and these are the few projects that are successful when thousands and ten thousands projects came out in the past three to four years and majority of them failed and some died out and majority left the project altogether. The most successful projects mentioned are still running and everyone expect them to continue their success journey with new implementation to make these relevant.

Many ICOs give much profit but have short time where not exist for long term coin keep with higher price, but for 50 top coins available for getting profit continue until today and now we are looking new ICO can exist with get profit although a while moment, after get profit I don't care price on the top or become shit coin and delist from exchange market its not my business.

that's based on ROI but not for how good the product that has already created by them all. If we are using the product as an indicator to do a comparison and not so many of them have developer a proper product that has a lot of usability.
The link that you have mentioned just contains less than 50 coins

The higher price and big valuation doesn't mean if such coin gives a real use case for the buyers because there are so many buyers are speculators.

Like literally, most of the altcoins could just be listed in some website like this is because they pay the site. Or else, what we could do is to look for its market price directly from the exchanges to confirm its status. Though, I see the altcoins there are really legit and one of the top cryptocurrencies of today. I joined allot of ICOS before and I haven't really earn any amount. I feel like I've wasted allot of my time doing signature campaigns related to promoting ICO's.

So far 90% ICO fail when launch and after launch, the cause is diverse and we don't know the truth is. I only know NTX and spectrocoin, those ICO has good progress and highly return in investment program. ICO is not popular anymore and now red market make ICO is impossible to launch again. IEO more stronger than ICO, unfortunately the result is same like ICO.

So far, I have not seen any ICOs that have a good product and are put into operation, even altcoins have existed for 2-3 years but still do not have any notable products. So in 2020 I believe that a whole bunch of altcoins will die and new projects will not be able to grow. And this market needs to purify bullshit projects so that investors don't lose money when investing in altcoins.

In 2019 I found only a handful of successful ICOs that could make a lot of profit, most ICO that have programs with bounty campaigns have made very rapid progress because many are successful and now many have turned to IEO and are working with the exchange because after the offer is complete it can be directly registered at the exchange place and can be used for trading, I hope that in 2020 all ICO or IEO can be more successful than the previous year.

It should be less as there was almost 5k from the total coins that already listed on CMC. 5% from the total coins mean top 250. I just take top 150 as the best choices in this case but only top 100 CMC were giving enough ROI for the early investors while the rest are getting huge loss in the past

I didn't participate in the initial Ethereum ICO, but I did witness it and it's definitely the most successful ICO I've seen to date. Most of the other ICOs I've participated and invested in since then haven't done too well, though I have had great returns on a few of them. A lot of the projects I invested in throughout 2017 have dropped very significantly in price or no longer even exist or are maintained anymore.

Success is also pretty subjective. The way I view a successful project is very different from someone else's.

It is good to hear that do far things are working fine for you and the project you trusted is actually on the track. I really hope that it does not turn out to be another of scam but still try not to get involved entirely into this. Do participate in it but partially. The first choice and investment should be one of the old coins as those are destined to gain value and hold bright futures. Diversification is good indeed.

As the result of that and the price of azbit gets plunged a lot to the bottom and this is not what we can call that as a good  result. credits was launching its product and it can still stand at its position without getting the bearish market caused by the dump from the buyers of the coin.

Credit has proven if that is really doing very well right now.

I participated in their bounty campaign too bad they scammed their bounty hunters by adding KYC at the end of the campaign, it was stated first there will be no KYC, i think the price will drop more after the unlock of bounty tokens, better to buy more tokens before bullrun, it's good to see a project that's actually delivering their promises.

Cashaa maybe, i only joined a few project. And Cashaa i think is a project that still develop it's product until now. They are before Cashaa is p2p bitcoin trading site that make buyer and seller mid. And then create Cashaa. About price maybe it is lower than ICO price but if their product still developed until now it means their developer really serious.

What does best roi have to do with the real product? The question is how many projects have launched its product and did well. For example, bat can be a good example. The created brave browser avoids advertisements and provides a profit.

I think that is not a scam, if you want to receive their tokens, you have to go through KYC. Aand if you don't want KYC, it's your right, no one forces you to do anything. KYC in bounty is not bad and I find most of the current bounty things require you to undergo KYC before getting tokens from them. Btw I also do not appreciate this project, there are hundreds of other projects better and there are many better products than Azbit

I called it scam because they said before they will be no KYC, and by the time bounty campaign almost ended they suddenly announced KYC is required to receive the bounty tokens, do you think that's fair for the bounty hunters?, there are some people who are trying to protect their personal information online, who knows what they do with the personal data, there's a high chance they will be selling those information, look at facebook. I know there are better projects out there but atleast the project is delivering their promise, and i never said anything that their project is good.

Very little. The situation is further complicated by the fact that most of the projects are initially conceived as fraud and scam. of 100 projects, one will be successful, 10 will not survive and die, and 90 will be a pure scam

In 2019? maybe around 5% is really doing well but not last long until now, every project that came up that year is not really good for investors. a lot of us are working hard to find at least 5 good project that aiming for long term but non of them aren't succeed. but we are not losing hope, for sure this 2020 is good for alts and there will be 1 or 2 projects that will last long and make a changes.

In 2017-2018 ICO was still a lot of good and I witnessed a lot of projects that succeeded in launching their pride. One of them is an exchange project which is still operating well, I am very proud of the results. Because I contributed to promoting their project at the time.
