What would be your stand out crypto investment for 2020.

An existing token or coin?

There are a lot of good crypto to choose from but as of this year my focus is still on Bitcoin, no plan to add other coins. Obviously most coins are so dependent with Bitcoins price that’s why I think its still the best choice in the next few years. Happy new year!

but for an alt, ETH for sure man, IF, an that's a big if, it goes PoS, i believe it will hit easy 500$+ in 2020

upcoming ICO, idk as i gave up on those, but honestly i should probably keep my eyes out, as you never know what might launch actually...

I don't search for the new project in ICO or IEO. I still focusing on making more and more bitcoin by trading altcoin pair bitcoin, or bitcoin pair fiat because I see that the opportunity now is big depending on the last year. Although the bitcoin price is not increasing too high, that is enough for me to make a profit in bitcoin. I see that the altcoin movements in the middle of the last year have good movements, so I think that it will be a good chance to buy at a low price and sell at a high price. I am sure that if I can try to make a profit, my bitcoin amount will increase too, so I only need to wait for bitcoin price to hit the highest price too.

I just invest in Bitcoin only. I dont wanna invest in altcoin bcz of its bearish.
in fundrasing, IEO is the good choice especially held by Binance. Dont invest in ICO, too many scams.

For me, holding bitcoin and ethereum is now a must, not only because it is a top cryptocurrency, but also because of the development that will occur this year and the year to come. other than that, in terms of sales, I might pay more attention to IEO than ICO. but, it all depends on the quality of the project.

I'm not ambitious x3 or x10, I just want to win on a small percentage and keep going on with such long winning streaks. That was my strategy in 2020 because I was too scared with the influx of this crypto market. everything seems to be virtual and prices are the same, so I won't try investing in ICO or IEO projects anymore, the pump and dump screens are stifling me. So I always choose to invest in good top alts like ETH, Link, Atom, BCH. that would be my early portfolio in 2020, the goal is to hold until 2021.

New projects are good but it's hard right now to gain investors that really want to support a project. Most investors right now are just want to buy a new coin and running for a quick profits, after they get profits, they will move to another coins. That's why most new projects are dead.

maybe because halving I want bitcoin to be the best investment crypto 2020 ,ether lost its horn to break through the pump in early January regarding other investments I think there is something ,well  unus sed leo as a utility token at heart of the iFinex ecosystem does anyone think about it? check interest in there

It seems like there hasn't been anything interesting and looks good at the beginning of this year about ICO and IEO, but maybe they will be seen in the near future, my suggestion is to leave ICO and maybe many people are more interested in IEO, I only invest in the highest altcoins in coinmarketcaps like ETH and some time ago added others like TOMOchain, the rest just hold bitcoin and buy it when it's cheap  ;)

Nothing that stands out though. I'll just keep on my investment line, and would probably try the others considering that they might worth investing with. But I am afraid not as some project would be going the same as bunch of promising projects out there but won't be going nowhere in the long run.

STOs, I'll go with it. However, going back to the choices above I may be going with IEO as for more satisfactory concerns as they already listing in an exchange (though they are the same 'cause in the end they're going to scam people around then run away), because ICO might just turn out to be shitcoin waiting to dump. Won't be wasting my time with it.

I am stacking up btc, eth and dusk and godsunchained cards. Then there are some obscure small caps that i do small investments on, but my main bet that i believe is going to stand out sooner or later is Dusk. I haven't found any new icos/ieos to invest to.

I personally think that investing in bigger cap coins will prove to be more of a wise move than investing in ICOs this time round.

The reasoning is simple - institutional investors are likely going to be the main drivers of the upcoming bull market, and they are more risk averse, meaning that they will likely want to invest in established coins such as BTC and ETH.

ETH is going to constitute a big part of my portfolio, because a) it is one of the larger cap coins and b) a hard fork is coming up which could potentially stir up some hype.

I will not focus on ICO or IEO investment. I now prefer certain coins for the future, especially halving. Soon I will continue to collect coins that have the potential to rise, because after halving crypto prices always go up so investment now will focus more on halving goals so don't think about coins or tokens.

I am into a existing coin. Not token honestly because more difficult for me to find good token to make investment. That is why for investment and maybe trading, i prefer to pick old coins and although sometimes need more time to hold, i am ok with it.

for altcoin ethreum is the main option for "profit" , the profit maybe just arround 20%-30%, but enough for me.
just buy at last price at US$130,08 and wait it to sell in $200

I prefer to invest in top coins. But not all top coins, I'm not interested in stable coins so those coins are excluded. For now, I am interested to buy more only for Bitcoin and Ethereum because I see those have a reason to increase this year. While others, I think it is better to see their progress this month firstly before considering to buy.

Actually, I am not sure to invest in both ICO and IEO. Invest in ICO is surely too risky, most of ICO projects only presented scams and unworthy coins/tokens in the market. While IEO was decreasing in popularity, many investors realized that IEO didn't meet expectation anymore. It seems we need some changes in both ICO and IEO system.

The market is still red at the moment, and it's hard to have new options. I'm still sticking to my past strategy which is to use bounties and have some small funds since I don't have the capability to invest right now. But this is just sad since at this moment should be the time that I am investing in smaller coins that has the capability to grow in the future.

That's cool, man, I'm sure ETH will reach $ 200 + that's the most important token included in your portfolio.
Bitcoin is also one of the main coins for later because currently a low of $ 7100 + will probably reach $ 10k, which is quite a good profit.

For now, don't invest in IEO / ICO because it still doesn't provide a good return.

this year will be amazing because Halving is a big event, happy new year too.

I was not optimally following IEO in binance last year, because during the snapshot process, my mind was always shaken in securing bnb to usdt because BTC trend dropped too sharply, this year I want to be more involved and try to correct mistakes. I will also concentrate more on buying coins rather than tokens for several reasons.

I think my 2020 standout will be Litecoin, Monero. But then again, I'm always thinking of them every year and every year except 2017 they haven't really done anything much haha.

But Ether should also be good. 2.0 is fully rolled out in 2020, so they might see some early traction, otherwise 2021 is their year.

And then we should never discount Bitcoin to rule them all. As usual.

So you are trading traditionally rather than invest in ICOs/IEOs? That makes a lot of sense in the current climate because there are too many scams taking place where exchanges are colluding with scam projects in order to effectively steal from investors.

I hope your BTC investment pays off for you. Sooner or later the value of BTC has to increase.

The majority here will most likely call out BTC as the one and only true king to invest in right now, due to it's upcoming block halving, BUT the BTC dominance chart is at an all time high, just waiting for our precious altcoins to regain dominance.
The smart move is to move BTC into ALTS, but not any alts.

Forget all these ERC20 tokens, IEO's, ICO's etc. Centralized projects, including exchanges is hacked on the daily, so it's not worth it.

I believe decentralization will be the next big thing in 2020, so the obvious move is to accumulate projects such as Blocknet, and other projects revolved around decentralized trading. ;)

My standout will always be BTCitcoin and my advice is to invest in BTCitcoin as the halving is approaching and the expectations that the market would rally in a year is really strong and in that phase if you are looking for any shit coin to invest is ludicrous.

These shitty projects will die off and only a few survive and if you know that only a small percentage of these experimental projects will survive who will be taking the initiative to invest in these risky platforms, better look for BTCitcoin than these shitty projects.
 

We probably are due a bull-run so hopefully something active will occur in 2020 which will send Bitcoin sky-rocketing again. This time though it might make it past the $20k mark but what will happen when the bull-run ends and the sell-off begins? How will that negatively affect the whole market? It might lead to another 2 years of market decline before things improve.

About those useless coins or up and coming IEOs/ICOs which are basically scams designed to sell something unachievable to gullible investors while the teams behind them pocket the cash - I hope they fade away fast and leave the serious players to continue their quest to expand crypto.

until now, I am waiting for that development. although many people prefer bitcoin, for now, I made the decision to own 50% bitcoin, and 50% ethereum, because I waited for ethereum 2.0. however, I think if there is an increase in prices this year, then these two coins will be the first pump. only we have our respective considerations, like you who say that litecoin and monero will be more prominent.

For investment i don't have a lot of options only BTC and ETH. I think with both of it already make me confident in this 2020. Because at least for me who can't analyze market or anything that related in crypto see news about halving and ETH 2.0 already enough for me to hold my coins.

It seems that in 2020 investments will no longer be in ICO because everyone has switched to the IEO project and a newer system will emerge, investments in new projects will still be there and the most widely done is investing in altcoin projects that have long existed

I'm sure even IEO is no longer hype in 2020 because investors are already losing hope with new projects because most of them are not really know about what they're making and how their product will survive in the future. There are many projects team faking their identity and create a project without knowing anything, all they know is just funding money for them to scam

   I have a crypto-portfolio with more then 10 coins and tokens. This year I will try to grow them, I would like to have more Bitcoins
and Ethereums in the first place, and later I will try to add some other top coins. I will try to stay focused on that, but if I see some
new promising project I can make an exception.

2020 have come,, so many people hope there will be a big change this year, in investing, I am always committed to my main goal, "avoid the risk of loss to gain profit". So I am more interested in investing in the top Altcoin than betting on Ico or Ieo.
I'm not saying Ico or Ieo isn't good enough, but many things I considered before making a decision. Investing safely, will always make me feel comfortable.

Although, there are still some genuine ICO/IEO but with initial offering market giving investors 70% chance of making lost i choose to go with an existing coin which i have evaluating alot of time and they perform beautifully especially during bitcoin block halving season.

I would go with existing coin because IMO coin is stronger than a token, like what we have witness on ETH tokens, when ETH dump they all follow.



No to ICO anymore, even if I like they won't succeed because people have found a safer platform, ICO is too risky and IEO is quite safer since it's done in exchange and less chance to get scam as long as we are participating in reputable exchange like Binance.

I started to look at Neo, some say that Neo is the Chinese version of eth. In 2019, the state changed the law on blockchain and crypto money. and I think NEO has great potential to reach the next highest price.

Definitely No to ICO, and be responsible investing in IEO. I will prefer to  invest maybe once the project already succeed and perform well in the market. I might start trading with new alts for short term but will still hold BTC, ETH. LINK, EOS, Waves even it will took a long time to pump again.

well in my own case am looking towards upcoming and promising projects that can give real good profit in 2020, new fresh project still waiting to be recognize can do well when the bull run arrive, the underdogs, and maybe one or two of already existing project, but i feel new upcoming project will have a better chance this time.

As usual, it can be changed depending on the market flows. It was a mix of emotion for this year, believing that Bullish will come this year and because of halving, people get more interest in the future. We are looking forward to seeing that Bitcoin still dominating the market and followed by ETH, not wondering that these two coins will soar high as they hold the highest market potential. Having our bag full of these two coins, you'll never regrets.

All the pointers point to Bitcoin to have a big year. We are not sure about Ethereum, their migration to POS is still not sacrosanct. BNB is another token to watch out for but I think the bullish story of burning is over since the team is not buying from the one in circulation but those holding from the team so, it has no effect on the price

Maybe bitcoin is the only way they could think that would save them since the price is a bit cheaper. So this is the best time to accumulate as much as we can until the bull run starts. Best coins that would stand out this year is still the top 10 coins in the market cap as a part of investment.

Wouldn't go for any tokens, IEO or ICOs. They all have a very bad history (not all must most of them). Wouldn't want to start my year with a really bad investment. I would go for existing well known coins like bitcoin, ETH, LTC, doge etc to be on the safe side. Might try out some new coins too if they have potential, but will invest small amount, rather than going all in on those coins.

Good day! I would still go for BTC and ETH. I'm more confident to buy and hold these two, coz I know their value will go up. As for new projects to invest, there are still a lot of scam projects so due research is needed before investing.

I think for 2020 you can safely choose and invest in the coins that are in the top 20, it is in the top 20 are the most promising coins.

That view is generally widely held because the ICO craze of 2017 had to come to an end some day with the advent of IEOs.

I think the signs are clear to see that in 2020 the ICOs taking place will fall and the IEOs taking place will increase but so will the IEO related scams.

fraudulent projects will be difficult to register on the large exchange IEO. at least we can not see from a very simple view. but now IEO also seems to have faded and not many projects that sound successful now with IEO or ICO.

the only consideration I have at the moment is, what do I need to consider more, holding bitcoin or ethereum. I believe both coins will have a high price this year. other than that, I would argue that choosing the top 20 coins is not a good decision. reduce it to 5 or 3 of the best coins before halving occurs.

We two most very important fundamental news relating to both bitcoin and ethereum this year ie halving of bitcoin and an improved ethereuem 2.0 thus my two options in coins for investment this year  is Btc and Eth, I don't have any trust in ICOs and IEOs after several attempts in investing in them to earn some profits proved abortive I would focus and channel my resources to this two coins.

Careful consideration is crucial before making a choice, Moreover, current market conditions are very difficult to predict.  Picking the top coin will be a good solution, Bitcoin is still the main prey and no doubt the quality.  Whereas Ethereum still dominates overall other Altcoins, I think it would be very reasonable to invest in Eth, especially now that Ethereum prices are still below prices.

I totally like the decision of Gabbie and i believe every cryptocurrency enthusiast accumulate some polution of the mentioned coin but Mamesso your respond is somehow misleading because there are some top coin which arent good for any form of investment especially the centralized coins.

DEX would have a big deal this year because it's become a trend right now, DEX volume is increasing since last year and i'm sure people are slowly moving to DEX this year since it's more safe and price is uncontrolled

There is logic to your plan, it probably does make more sense to invest in an existing altcoin with the current market in decline rather than invest in an ICO or IEO because so many of them are scams anyway.

It is the only coin that we are certain that can rally but not the rest of the coins you mentioned.

Millions of ETH are been sold by the team in the past two months and you think that the price would rally after they move to POS. I highly doubt these rallies.

This is another pump and dump coin that is done by the biggest exchange in this market and that does not gives its the legitimacy, burning of tokens is one thing but i call this coin as a centralized bullshit to make money for the company.

Bitcoin and ether are the two most promising coins on the market that should be kept on the market, because even if there is a fall, sooner or later these two coins will still grow and bring profit

I’m expecting my BTC and ETH to work well for me and in terms of new token, I hope that Mb8coin will become a big coin again this year. There are so much hope for me this year that I can get back all the losses i incurred and I working to become more financially literate and working to own more bitcoin.

The fact they are being bought and sold on p2pb2b and whitebit (both scam exchanges and several others are owned and operated by Ukrainian scammer called Valerii Solodovnyk) means I think this coin is not going to be successful probably for a variety of reasons including some listed here:
