Title: Unidentified TX on my ETH wallet address
Post by: Jercyhora2 on January 04, 2020, 01:14:14 AM
I have unidentified Tx on my ETH, someone withdraw 0.08911805682 ETH out of my wallet. Although its small amount the point is someone has control over my wallet.

I recently using ImToken, then I experience this kind of event.
Anyone experiencing this kind?

This is the TX address

The TX shows that is was transferred on 17th December though, you sure it's the correct tx? Because you said 'recently'.

Either way looks like somebody might have access to your seed/private key. I suggest sweeping your address and move it to a new address. Use another device to create a new wallet, don't use the same phone as it's possible that your phone was hijacked (can't know this for sure if you don't add more details).

Btw, move this to Beginners & Help or Altcoins. This is not the proper board to discuss about this.

IMtoken is a legit mobile wallet. I have used it since 2017 without any single issues.
There is a chance that your private key or Mnemonic phrase may have been compromised. One way or the other, you may have leaked your PK or Mnemonic phrase to someone. If i were you, i would abandon that wallet and create a new one.

If you didn't do the transaction then your hardware are infected.

So it is advisable to move everything out to a new device, create new wallet. I can't say if it is because of  ImToken. You may have downloaded it from a phishing site or something. So try to isolate just to be on the safe side.

You still have 0.018 ETH balance you should move all of your balance to new ETH address before the hacker send it again to thier address. Even its just small amount its still big help for you and you can use it as  gas use for every transaction.

Its an unauthorized transaction from your wallet which means someone got your private keys and moved funds to their wallet.

Possibility of trojans in your device better restore and complete wipe your device then install new wallet for future transactions.

I'm transferring it right now, I send small amount of eth so that I can transfer it to another wallet

I don't want to know how small the amount is, since you aren't the one who send the ETH out then your wallet is breached, quickly move your ETH to another wallet with recovery seed like coinomi or trust wallet before it's too late

You have to understand that without your knowledge any transaction happens maybe you're wallet is under danger as many people said about some one knows your wallet key information so it is safe to move your all tokens from that wallet quickly otherwise you will loose all your tokens.

Ideally, you should give up this wallet and create a new wallet to continue using. The private key has been leaked to the outside and someone else has accessed your wallet, If you still use this old wallet, certainly in the future your money will be stolen by hackers. Btw I checked the address for receiving ETH, it seems that the hacker hasn't moved it anywhere since December 17, this is really strange

We're not safe once we've been clicking on unknown sites or phising websites. What's very important right now is that avoid turning on your mobile data or being online on your wifi connection. This ways, it may prevent certain access on your device because some hackers were using location tracker that could possibly intrude your security.

I have been using Imtoken and have never encountered any issue with them but their Imtoken 2.0 do misbehave when sending out tokens. If you didn't authorize that transaction, just transfer your funds out and abandon the wallet.

that means someone has a private key or whatever can access your wallet, you should create a new one and give up your eth.
I think you got hacked, or opened a phishing site.

If you have any other wallets in your device then you need to transfer those funds as well in the case not only your private key got compromised but the whole device, also make sure to transfer those coins to a different device in the case the one you have is infected and finally you need to do a factory reset of your device and make sure that if you download that wallet again you do it from the legitimate source and not from one created by scammers.

I am sorry for your loss but it is important to settle this as fast as possible in the case the hacker comes back for the rest of your coins.

I use imtoken since I know crypto and imtoken, in my opinion, the safest cellphone wallet. I don't even have an incident like you, I'm sure if someone has a private key or knows your password.

In my opinion the topic has to close. It is clear that a third party has access to Your coins. Therefore, even a small amount of Ethereum is desirable to transfer to another address.

Lol there will always be the possibility for OP's wallet to be hijacked by scammer, so many phishing site these days. if someone can even send some amount of ether and that means if the wallet has also already owned by scammer.
I have experienced that in the past and it looks like we make something bad or we take a bad way by downloading or using suspicious site.
That's why we must be careful these days, it's really good to see OP is aware about that.

The fact that imtoken facilitates its user to get their address' private key (yes you could import and export then private key in imtoken) could probably become the main reason why someone have the access to the address mentioned above and maybe he accidentally pasted it somewhere else or got his hardware infected with keylogger. best action is to use other address.

I'm sorry for your loss, but it's a clear indication that your Private wallet information has been compromised, which gives the hacker an access to your ethereum and other tokens in the wallet, it could also be from your device. I'll personally advise that you get another wallet and move your tokens out of the present wallet.

Check and confirm whether you have once send eth to that same address before if so therefore it might be a bug in your wallet.
I had similar experience wth my metamask wallet I also detected an unauthorized TX which I discovered was sent to my last previous address the same amount of eth I sent in last tx was also sent again. I deleted and reinstalled the wallet.
Anyone having access to your private key would stolen your coins rather small amount in my own opinion.

True, there is no other way if a wallet has been infiltrated by hackers, other than moving all assets into another wallet, but usually if a wallet has been infiltrated by hackers, valuable coins will be taken first than coins that have no price.

I suspect that you have become a victim of malware. Maybe it is from some phishing site somewhere that you are not aware of and if there is no one who knows anything about your wallet, that is the only reason why your ethereum was stolen.
Try to clean up your personal computer and transfer your valuable funds in that wallet immediately just to be safe.

So, it only means that your wallet is already compromised. This unidentified transaction might happen again if you don't act right now. Get a new wallet that you can use to store your funds from that wallet and you better make sure that you won't expose it again. What happened to you might happen again if you don't take care of your wallet.

yes, there is a transaction that he does not know, that means it's not safe to use the wallet. making a new wallet is the best solution and we can make it for free at no cost whatsoever. if there are assets, immediately move them to another wallet, which is the security of your assets.

That's really sad to hear that you should immediately create a new wallet and move your all funds in it and the important thing you shouldn't store the seeds of the wallet in your mobile phone and always avoid to install third party applications in your mobile phone which asks the access of your media files because these kind of third party applications can be harmful.

that's clear. that someone has hacked your asset wallet. even though it's not a large amount but if you still keep assets in the wallet then you will always lose. I suggest you immediately create a new wallet and move all assets that are still in the previous wallet.

Of course, it is what he needs to do, however, it seems that the wallet is still active. Does that mean that he is still using it? Aside from that, upon checking the transaction, it happened last December 17, 2019. I wonder why he only opens this issue which is almost a month have passed.

but if you do that while other people know the access of your wallet they will empty it again before you send your balance
after i check his address and all of his assets is worth around 1$ so i think it will be good if he just creates a new account then abandoned that account

That's odd im using Imtoken wallet both (1.0 and 2.0) respectively for a long time already and im not encountered any problem so far, for me Imtoken wallet is one of the most trusted erc20 and multicoin wallet in the market today, that's why i'm doubting if that so called unauthorized transaction incident was really happen. unless that wallet address on your behalf was already compromise either your private key or mnemonic phrase, in order to protect your funds its better to check your wallet right now or else you might lose all your crypto's if its really a hacking incident.

be careful with phishing which resembles the ethereum wallet website which will make your balance run out or clean your device of viruses so that it does not recur
