Title: Binance Fake youtube channel with 240K subscribers
Post by: tsaroz on January 04, 2020, 05:27:57 AM
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcFB9ovtcx6pAnedaY6MXCw
This channel's name is Binance and probably is a fake or a hacked one. This has 240K subscribers and giving away free Bitcoin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vh5cTaiJso
Which is most probably a scam.

Here's their catch
Quote
✅If you send 0.1+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 1+ BTC back.
✅ If you send 0.25+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 2.5+ BTC back. +20% bonus
✅ If you send 0.5+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 5+ BTC back. +25% bonus
✅ If you send 1+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 10+ BTC back. +30% bonus
✅If you send 5+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 50+ BTC back. +50% bonus
✅ If you send 10+ Bitcoin, you will be airdropped 100+ BTC back +80% bonus

Do anyone has an idea what that channel is and how they reached 240K subscribers?

Obviously this is a scam service, they are live on youtube, and even more than 3000 people are watching  :o lol These people don't even know it's a scam service. And they turned off the chat feature to prevent us from giving warnings, really crazy. The site they are displaying is also fake, I know such sites before, everything was so complete for a blatant scam. But I really don't understand how they got 240,000 subscribers for a fake channel  :o

Is there no way to stop them?  ::)

RULES: You just need to send between 0.1 BTC to 25 BTC to the contribution address and we will immediately send you back between 1 BTC to 250 BTC to the address you sent it from.

The 240K subscribers are just fake or bot for sure. Only 5 K peoples are watching it that is nothing compared to the number of subscribers. Purely fake.

Is there no way to stop them?  ::)

Only by reporting the video from below on YouTube. More the people report more chances of getting it down faster.

Anyways I think YouTube would automatically ban them once they detect the bot subscribers.

Yeah, even though these fake giveaway channels keep reappearing and fighting them is basically a whack-a-mole, it is still worth it to report them, and more people do it, the better.

I am not so sure about that, i've seen YouTube channels that got fake subscribers removed, but channels are  still there so I am not sure that's  standard YT practice, but with the combination of fake subs and enough reports, those channels should go down fast.

This is a very old scam but surprisingly this is going to still work for someone who wants to get easy money from them. In fact they wanna be the first to send BTC.

The real binance youtube channel I think is this one https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0BNTTRYI7c0MUM5355zMqg I have subscribed to it since I watched their videos to learn from them. That scam channel only have 1 video on it.

I have posted this: [Scams]:Fake giveaway in Youtube and need help from the community to report them (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213154.0).

Maybe someone reading this post can report those fake giveaways so that Youtube will shutdown those channels immediately.

I reported this channel.

240k followers is not fake.
They buy old channels and then rename it and use for fake live giveaways.

I reported many similar videos here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197873.0

That's probably the closest to the reality, it's not that easy to reach that huge number of subscribers, so they could have bought that channel and rename it, people should be aware of this manipulation, and people should use common sense, there is no way that they can give that huge amount by just sending, or better ask the community to verify the offer.

Or they can buy services that will provide users to subscribe to the channel. They spend money to have a good subscribers to look as if its legit but it looks worse when you see a lot of subscribers but only one video on it.

There has to be a lot of report for youtube to take action into this channel so I encourage everyone to also report it so that they can take it down as early as possible.

Yeah, good example for that are those bounty hunters that are doing YouTube videos, they often have fake subscribers (bots) to appear more legit and to get accepted into bounty campaign. They even fake views.  All social media channel numbers  can be faked , and are faked in many cases.

::) I do not understand why they are planning to cheat through Youtube. Youtube has very strict rules, they will lock this channel after it is reported by many people, I don't know how much money they make from newbies, but I think they spend a lot of money to buy one channel with 240k subscribers. These people don't even hesitate, they don't hide their faces, they're showing everyone the face of a liar. I checked Binance and they don't have any media on Youtube, this is a blatant deception.

Buying a channel with 240K subscribers might cost a lot but buying fake services through various platforms might only cost a hundred bucks or so.

But I doubt that both of the above case with that channel tries to hack,it could be a hacked channel as well so scammer tries to make more juice before the real owner wakes and recover his/her account back.

Help to report the youtube channel to avoid this kind of scam!

This is their official bitcoin address: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/17fDwkGdueEZ55VSLphnakxrBSs5GaWkaQ

Glad no one has a brain damage to invest into this kind of bullshit.

They don't have to buy YouTube channel with 240k subscribers. It is much cheaper to simply pump those numbers with fake subscribers in the same way all those shitty ICOs are faking their Telegram/Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc  subscribers numbers.
And since those channels keep reappearing, it is probably  worth it for those scammers to keep doing that.

They can just buy followers. People do it even on this forum.

Just report the channel for scam

This is Italian but you can see what you need to do and really is the only thing you can do.

Edit -

Any way the channel name is

Code:

Searching in and you will get.

Archived: http://archive.is/wip/UiCb6

And that seems to be a hacked account, Yesterday.

Also, someone is already falling on it.

If you have the money you can buy subscribers on YTmonster on Fiverr and even here on this forum, and they are doing this to make their channel legit, because some noobs are not using their common sense or not asking or verifying first before they send their funds away, when they can only spend a minute or two to ask or Google it.

The question in my mind is not whether this is a scam, but how many people were foolish enough to send them bitcoin.  That's crazy.

And I think the working definition of "airdrop" is basically "free token" in which case those scammers are misusing the term horribly and probably on purpose, since it's a word that makes certain people salivate.  But there's nothing free in this offer.  You've got to pay them some bitcoin up front....and that's ridiculous on the face of it.  That's almost exactly what the Nigerian Prince scam is.  To free up the inheritance, they just need a little money and then you can share in the huge reward.

Unbelievable.

As to why they have so many followers, come on.  We all know it's very easy to buy youtube subscribers, twitter followers, facebook likes, and all of that crap.  I've seen all of those things for sale right here on bitcointalk.

YouTube does not care. People have been doing this for months, making huge sums of $ over and over. They are using hacked channels.  The followers are real. The livestream views are mostly fake and are intended to boost the ranking.

report the videos and channels:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=xrp+giveaway

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=btc+giveaway

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ltc+giveaway

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=eth+giveaway

all it would take is a single person to just periodically go through these keywords and disable all the channels doing this

240k subscribers is very big number, even if it's fake farmed channel and it's probably costs a lot. But I'm sure that these scammers aren't dumb. It's most likely that they reach ROI before their account will be blocked by Youtube. And not ROI only, they are in solid profits. As said above, 3000-5000 were watching this stream, no doubt that quite many people were fooled and sent their BTC to scammers.

Right, I posted this in the B&H section {Beware}:Fake Elon Musk giveaway and how someone fall for the trick (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5214770.0). It was not a Youtube channel that push that individual to deposit and lost his money, but the same modus operandi. $3k, damn, those cyber criminals are laughing their ass off when cashing it out. So everyone, be careful as scammers are getting bolder by the day.

definitely a bogus channel! too bad for those who lost their satoshis on this one. sometimes people will not say that they lost, they will let others to be fooled as they have been fooled.

240k is quite huge. but more then likely they work around to get this number and create a seemingly "trusted" channel. high chance that they already got their pockets full

This probably one of the most deceptive scam giveaways I've seen you can easily fall for this just by looking at a huge number of subscribers that you think you are landing on the official Binance giveaways, you really ask questions on anything that you stumble here.

The channel had been terminated and nuked as per I see here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vh5cTaiJso). ;D

Nice example of community here working together and getting something good out of it. The nuke was most probably due to many people's reporting the channel for being fraud.

Well done !

This is not really surprising, I thought more people would be fooled. They have thousands of viewers, and only one guy is fooled, which is a good thing. Fortunately, they are alert enough and realize the truth about it.

The importance of having a right knowledge inside the business that you are working with, this scam attempt can easily tricked those greedy people and those newbies who doesn't have any idea regarding to the right channel of binance. By simply looking with those numbers of subscribers they'll be able to catch some victims to scammed out the money.

I don't think that youtube channel has the real subscribers because I heard that we could pay someone or groups to search the subscribers from many countries so that it will not difficult to get that many subscribers. But I guess the giveaways are not real because I think there is no free money that we can get even if we send some amount to them. So be careful if you watch the other channel, and if you see the video like that, you can conclude that it is a scam you and you will not get any big money by free.

I'm not familiar but do they even give you the ability to get watched live by more than 5k users? As far as I'm ware, paid subscribers won't boost your views or likes, unless of course, you paid for it. But that must cost a lot of money. It doesn't make sense to throw a lot of money to scam people which has a low chance to succeed.
