Title: How to know if a bitcoin trading is worth trusting?
Post by: bitprady on January 04, 2020, 04:23:10 PM
Hello all,

I am new to this whole bitcoin thing and know very little about it.

A few days ago I got added to a Telegram group which is run by a bitcoin & binary trader.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate.

If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.

So, my question is - how do I know if this is legit or not before investing?

Their fees would be 15%.

Thanks

I'm certain that's a scam. Report the group and leave. The offer just doesn't make any sense. If anyone could 10x their investment why would they ask for your money? Besides, trading is not that easy. You just can't make your balance 10x in 5 days.

Hello too
Welcome to bitcoin forum

The first i want to say, this topic should move to trading discussion not in bitcoin discussion

The second, it's to hard to trust the third person for our trading. They can take all of your bitcoin and go leave. I think the real trader instructor not asking the money first, but making the content and the way to trading.

A rule of thumb would be to use your common sense. Why would someone who is able to double his money in just a few days spend his time looking for people's money? It is an obvious scam and you should acknowledge the fact that 99.99% of this kind of offers are scams. Think about it: the biggest hedge funds in the world are very happy and exalted with a 15-20% annual return and they have many experienced traders working for them and scooping the markets for opportunities.

Rule of Thumb in any trading. Never do greed
If they can give you 5000$ for 500$, why they are doing on Telegram group. They must be billionaire and enjoying life.
No need to DYOR on this project. Just leave it, its defiantly a scam or ponzi.

Its too good to be true.

Its usually a scam when someone message you the first especially if its related to crypto investing. Its been proven and all the more because its binary. You can not trust any of those brokers that will actually allow you to withdraw your winnings. Binary trading isn't worth doing in crypto because there is not much coiners doing it and there is no platform trusted enough as far as I know.

There are no 100% profit in investing for something like that, at the end they will only go with your money and you are end with nothing. If you want to make investment or new in bitcoin world, google really can be helpful if you want to learn about bitcoin and trading and strategies in it.

leave the group and start setting the telegram so that the op can no longer be added automatically to another scam group. legitimate or not doesn't need to be thought about, even though they provide a separate channel full of testimonials. promotions like this always look pretty, but then they will block accounts that start feeling suspicious and continue to complain.

100% that's a scam, no one can be sure of the interest rate in the cryptocurrency market. Scammers are trying to cheat new and inexperienced people in this market.
They sometimes show you a few profitable trades and try to make you believe that the investment is profitable.
As soon as you invest money for them I guess you will be removed from the group and lose that money.

OMG! do you think people would be crying if such offers were really true lol, then all crypto enthusiasts should be cruising jaguars and rolls royce at the moment. Mahn, never fall for those schemes, they are worthless and don't mean a anything, they are just interested in the little $500 that you have and they play on the greedy spirit of men to lure them into these scams. You are lucky you sought advice in here before venturing.

I wonder why that chat group can sell orders when they just need to use it to make a profit. If he can make a profit as advertised, his job is to think of ways to spend money instead of opening chat to trick new people.
Investing $ 500 and getting back $ 5,000 within 5 days, that's a 10-fold return that is impossible.
It's best to leave the group and warn people not to believe in such people.

It's a full proof scam, it's pure like to burn your cash. Please don't invest a single penny on such scams, there is no way in the world to make $500 into $5000 without any effort and that too in such short days. Please do research and invest in legit business and trade wisely.

Newbies are keep becoming victims of the group pf scammers in telegram, they can avoid it if they will ignore the scam groups. Scammers are so smart that they keep attracting many victims that will invest in their scam project, we should not easily believe to an investment that can guarantee our profit because all of the investment have risks and we should always remember that.

Hi, nice to have you as a new member. Please be careful with scammers or fraudsters because there are many of them outside there. They have many ways to deceive people, including offering big profits with instant ways. They target all people, especially beginners or newcomers.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate. If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.
How can he/she guarantee for 100% ROI? And in what way the trader can guarantee to get profits $4,500 in 5 days only? These seem no sense for me. Even a professional/experienced trader shouldn't guarantee profits and surely no exact amount for profit, especially profits just in 5 days.

*I suggest quitting the Telegram group. The trader is likely a fraudster. Do not too easy to trust in instant profits!

It's very funny when someone claims that they earn a lot of money and ask you for some money from you and then promise that they'll give you higher reward. In your case the most funny fact is that person promises you 10x profit in 5 day. Now logically that person have to be very experienced trader for years and if he can profit up to 10x of invested capital in 5 days, then calculate: 500$ becomes 5000$ in 5 days, then 50 000 on 10th day, 500 000 on 15th day, 5 million on 20th day. So, everything is pretty clear.
The reason why I posted this instead of just saying "scam of course" is that I want you to know how you can just easily understand why this may be scam and how to avoid scam offers in future, always do calculation at first.

Welcome here.

You should already be curious how they could that. There's no such guarantee in trading, it's more of lose than winning especially if you're not the one who trades it. How can you come up with something like that. Don't believe them.

Start trading on your own and don't let strangers from a telegram group manipulate your mind that it's actually happening. Gain experience through your own trades but expect losses on your way but it's a valuable lesson to learn rather than believing with those false promises and wants 15% of fee from you.

And the opposite of what you said is scammer's target. Because some people who although have capital but not want to work or do something to earn money is easier to be scammed. Because for people, who normally do trading or maybe work to earn income from bitcoin, will be like a lot of people in here who already know if that kind of investment is full of scammers.

Indeed, they are just trying to deceive you by their promises which is clearly quite difficult to fulfill. Once you have shown them that you are interested, they will take that opportunity to take advantage of you to get the benefits they wanted. Analyze things before making decision regarding your investment, try to learn how the market works and learn from other people's experience because it will guide you to avoid falling into scammers tricks. They usually victimized a person like you who doesn't have enough understanding about investing, it's an advantage for them because some of you doesn't know the things to consider before investing. Trading is speculative particularly these days because of scammers and that is the reason why you have to be cautious because a single mistake can have a huge impact on your investment.

There is no investment that guarantees your profit 100% in 5 days. except just wanting to fool you. and 100% profit only exists in trading with the lucky coin you choose. don't believe in such things.
there are several paid trading signals. but accurate returns are only 2-5% per day. if there is more than 50%, believe me. it's just a trick to take your money.

I wouldn't find the 15% fee if I earn $5000 from the $500 I invest within 5 days.  I can even give 5% more but this is just the offer that is pretty much from a scammer.  You just can't trust someone who will offer this type of investment even if its someone you knew. The business will eventually collapse and there is no businessman in his right mind who would do this.

No one in the world could possibly earn around 500 to 5000 dollars in just 5 days, or else you would invest in the time frame from 2017 of november and cash out from december 20... Though, with other platforms of investment without you having the private keys, I don't think you should entertain them, because this forum will open and enable yourself to learn how to avoid scams and frauds, if you wouldn't mind, I suggest you to visit beginners thread and visit your local board too.

in crypto it is not a get rich quick scheme, here the average income grows and it is not easy to get fast profits except when the market is growing. and although in an improved market condition we also cannot always get quick profits and in crypto must have the ability to trade or invest in markets that have high risk.

Don't easily fall on such scams, especially in Telegram and other social sites. Always remember that once you sent your Bitcoins, there's no turning back. Also, right from the start where he said that high returns are guaranteed is surely a scam. Recently, there are also scams on YouTube claiming that you'll get 30x of the coins you sent on an address.

Everyone should understand that there is no easy money in the cryptocurrency market. If someone wants to make money in this market, they first need to learn the knowledge, gain the experience of successful people, besides they need a lot of luck.
So if anyone tells me about easy profit, I will definitely reject them.

everything that offers easy and illogical benefits, I think, should be avoided, especially if they ask for payment in advance to receive the benefits. Scam projects are sometimes like that and Ponzi and hype projects also have the same potential to deceive investors, especially for those who want quick profits.

seriously the return was 5k usd for 5 days  ? wow i think that was a lot for a small capital and for a limited amount of time only  but thier fees 15 percent was i think also high  .  but by the way , are the fees paid first right after you start thier program or itll be paid later once you already succesfully get the profit for your capital   ?  if it paid first then ill think twice and do a background check first because the offered income was too promising already and not normal for a legit investment program .

Do not easily believe with investments like that, just the same you gamble with your assets. It's better to save your money while you learn more about investing in crypto.
If you may be honest here scam investments are more common and the target is new users, and use the name bitcoin to carry out these activities.

in investing it must be careful, especially if new users who want to invest then we should at least explain some investments that can be done well and lead them to the right place. because fraud is basically targeting new users who are certainly more concerned with profits than the security of funds owned.

Don't do it, if you have to question any validity of a potential transaction then there is a chance that it is too good to be true. Lets be honest for a second though, does it really sound like it is a legitimate offer or does it sound like it is too good to be true? The return on interest alone sounds highly unbelievable even for  High Yield Investment programs which are risky and sketchy all together to begin with. I'm willing to bet you're going to lose that money if you send it, especially to a Telegram bot at that.
I'm not here to give investment advice but remember to practice your due diligence before making any mistakes that could potentially be costly!

To invest in the website or any trading platform makes sure you must read the about of the platform to know what their mission and vision and today it is not hard to find information that gives us to identify if the trading platform is secured.  Also, it is better to ask other people who are already using the particular platform, to make sure it is legit or not. Most of the time, the traders already invest a little amount of cryptocurrency to the platform and explore by themselves to make sure it is legit that will not scam our money. But if you don't want don't trust their advertisement and use the old trading platform you know and use this to avoid hacking and scamming.

Well sometimes it's best to trust your gut instinct when doing trading especially with cryptocurrencies. The thing is, if you feel like the ROI or the profits you are being proposed is too good to be true, then most probably it's a scam. Besides, no person would want your money if they could make $5000 in 5 days with their 500 dollars, it's best to leave on that group chat and report it as it defaces the bitcoin community.

It's likely 95% scam, there are already many types of fraud. before that you need to look at the history of the group and who the trader is, first you have to understand is as much information as possible you should know the information in crypto because the mode of fraud is very numerous and varied.

Scammers often target new users so be careful, you can also ask the members here or people you know in the crypto world to get advice.

This is a complete scam, please be very careful. There is no business or investment portfolio that will give you this huge profit within 5 days after investing.  What you need to understand is that, cryptocurrency or bitcoin does not make you rich within few days.  This is a total scam, don't invest in it.

It will be an exit scam. They gonna run with your investment. You will find many such scam groups on telegram. Sadly it is one of the main reason for why people don't trust crypto. Don't fall for it.
No one will give you free money. Had he been such an experienced and talented trader. He would have had enough money to live happily instead of making a group and asking people to invest. Trade with your own brain. Don't trust anyone here.
I am glad you came here before putting in your money.

Nothing is that better anymore.
There is a large percent it might be a scam.

You are not sure of it. Why even question the legitimacy of them?
As you can see it, it is too good to be true right?
I would rather waste money trying to learn more about different techniques in trading rather than investing with that kind.

100% ROI is looks like a scam project, there are always risk so there should no project that 100% guaranteed the ROI. Fraud projects are keep increasing so we should not just put our money in an investment if we do not know what are the information inside in it. Fraud projects are most likely promising 100% return in just days or even weeks and for me it is something's fishy.

Let me correct that idea. There is always investment that guarantees us to have 100% percent profit. But that investment is a scam. More on HYIP and Ponzi scheme. It is really risky if you have a deeper knowledge in investment and other stuff in crypto or anywhere. A newbie can be fooled by 100% ROI for a couple of weeks. But a person who knows the system will not engage in activities like that specially when we talk about bitcoin.

Thanks
There is no way you could get that profit in just 5 days obviously it was a scam this is just a classic method of scam or an HYIP.
Don't fall into this investment thing I've even tried 15% profit and it was just a complete scam imagine your the percentage in your profit you cant even think of a way how they were going to make your 500$ into 5000$ in just 5 days.

First of all, you have done the right thing, asking the community about your issue and many have answered that it is a scam or something that does not make sense. Imagine % 1000 profit within 5 days, well it is crazy. If he could make that much profit in just 5 days maybe he is now rich. In addition, never trust people to manage your money, it's better to put the money in your own pocket.

Thank you all.

I have exited the group and reported it as spam/fraud.

Good job on reporting the Ponzi scheme group. This kind of group should be reported immediately.

Even if that group has a trader that has a skill of 95% accuracy on trading I think it's unnecessary for the trader to get an investment from other persons just to make a trade.
It's an obvious investment scam attempt but some newbie like OP can be victimized.

Remember that don't entertain too good to be true offers and always make a research  ;D

Surely a telegram scammer, there is no way you could easily earn that money in just a small amount of time. Actually that was rediculous 5000$ in 5days  ;D ;D I think that was magic or lottery win.

Do not entertain this scammer just block his telegram account and also report him.

The question that breaks down the narrative of these scammers is the following, if they are so successful why do they need you to invest $500 with them?
To figure out scams you just have to ask yourself the right questions

There is no doubt, the one who send that email is a scammer imagine if you invest 500$ then in five days it will be 5000$ is this a kind of a joke? I am trading for so long but I don't have any experience regarding to that matter in which when you invest a money and then in just a short period of time the you have invested will be doubled or trippled. Even in the fiat that is impossible. For you to be able to know if the project is a scam before investing, first you should find proof of legitimacy.

The rule of thumb has always been that if the offer is too good to be true, it is most likely a scam or a shady scheme. This one is one example. A $500 will become $5000 in just 5 days? If that is true, your investment will multiply 10 times in just 5 days. In other words that is doubling your investment in half a day only. That is not only too good to be true that is also a very funny offer. Leave and report that scam group as soon as possible to stop them from victimizing other people.

my advice to you since you are very new here?better to study first, learn more things and add this stupid offers to your quest to become investor.never Believe people that assures you big profit because their lips are so sweet but their intention is too Bitter.

Just use your common sense do you really think that there is a trader that could easily make that much profit in just 5 days?
Anyone could say that they have a big success rate in trading the problem is how could they prove it?
And also if they could why would they even bother to search for investor?
If they could then why don't they just do it on their own instead of offering their skill for just 15%?

In my opinion it is clearly a scam, it is impossible to trade profit 10x in just 5 days. This is great scammers, always smart to look
for potential victims. With this offer of good to be true, we must watch out for. I suggest don't have excessive greed so don't be
interested with this kind of fraud. In my opinion we must always think smart so as not to get caught by scammers, because of the
scammers mode almost like always offering reward or profit that doesn't make sense to me. If we can avoid that, I'm sure the number
of scammers victims will decrease.

I cannot believe if they say that if you invest $500, you will get $5000 within 5 days. It does not make sense because you cannot get a big return in a short time. Besides that, 100% of profit is not possible in any market situation because that will be too difficult to get even if you have high-skills in trading. You should stay away from their offers because I don't think that is legit.

We will see similar offers in many media every day because those offers want to attract new people to join with them. That is obviously a scam, and I hope that you don't join them, and it is better to try by yourself.

I often get this almost in every telegram group, many spammers and scammers rampant promoting their scams, as you say it seems to be a fraud and stay away from them, because they work to deceive you, if you think of using the logic of where their money is to pay you $ 5,000 if you only give them $ 500 in 5 days, it doesn't seem to make sense, don't hesitate to ask everyone else in this forum

I will usually report a telegram group if it looks suspicious and looks like a scammer, almost some crypto telegram groups are filled with spam like this, a profitable investment invitation beyond human reason, only with a little capital can make a lot of profit, I'm more interested in trying to make a profit in trading , yes even though I often lose I'm not disappointed than I lost money because of being deceived

I think this definitely a scam yeah getting $5000 within 5 days seems possible however, looking on the market we have now it more likely impossible. It is obvious that this is scam because you won't get that amount in a single amount of time and you can easily determine whether the investment is scam or not if you have enough knowledge about this things. I recommend that you should study about the investment before place your fund.

once again I emphasize, do not be quick to believe the promised bonus. trading is not as easy as you think. it is very difficult to produce assets from $ 500 to $ 5000 in less than 1 week, even when he is an expert, even more so you find that person in a telegram.
you should use the assets you have for yourself. I quite believe, after you reject that person, there will be very many people like that again.

95% success rate with full ROI, this is even worse than what was once offered to me, I was once offered by a trader who I even knew him, but in a consortium model. The only thing that happened after that was an apology dramatized on the grounds of a falling market and so on. You will experience bad things because they easily get rid of traces and can no longer be connected to your account.

All you can do is to ask some of the other people first before investing on a certain coin like what you are currently doing. Gather information about that coin so that you can avoid scams in the near future. You can try to use telegram and join some bitcoin groups and try to throw some question there about your concern. Do not trust anyone so easily just because you are in need of money.

Didn't you ask yourself that before making this thread? It is already telling you that "we are going to scam you" in you face.
You can choose a different approach rather than risking your money here. There is a lot out there. Do not go for the gold but instead little profits in different platforms.

He's seems to be totally new to investment in cryptocurrency which is a valid reason and a good act to ask first instead of going all along and invest huge funds to that investment platform that seems to be really fishy right from the first glance. This is the thing I didn't do in my early days of buying bitcoin, in which I regret because I somehow lose some amounts though in return, I learned allot.

Don’t waste your time and money by running after such projects, they are 101% scam. Legitimate schemes that have zero risk and guaranteed profit always have a calculated profit like government saving schemes and bonds. You can’t be rich overnight in any trading. My opinion is always stay away from such projects.

You can easily tell if the project is legit or not. That project is not legit because the project is telling that the return is 100% guarantee. Why you would waste your time in participating in that shit project. It is better if you will invest your money in trading because we have control on it. We can double it if we have enough knowledge.

Never trust any of these offers, it is definitely a scam and you will lose all your money by participating in their requests. In this market, no one can guarantee profits for members. First of all come to think about it. How in the hell they make $4500 in the span of 5 days? and worse they will make it thru the money of different people. If they can make it then they can just use their own money to do it.

If a project is too good to be true then it is certainly a scam. They are just ordinary person. If they can make your money grow then you can grow it to by yourself. Why would you give your money to a people/s that you don't know and hoping that it will increase in a short amount of time. Yup, I agree. entering into a project like that is just a waste of time and money. Do not be easily tempted by hundreds of percent profit offer. because actually earn a profit is not easy. Even professional traders are very careful when taking a profit. most people suffer losses due to greed and expect big profits. better to realistic with your capital.

It is definitely not a legit one. No one can offer a sure 100% ROI with a definite time. Imagine you are just one of the hundred persons that he/she have made an offer. Then it would be very difficult for them to be certain in giving the ROI on a definite time. Be careful with dealing with this kind of offers in Crypto.

Good to see you here and you have made good decision as well to make this thread. As many users says above that is definitely scam way and there are many thread already which discussed about this issue. And yeah, the target this scam is newbies who haven't knew much about crypto, more than that with many issue which have been spread that bitcoin is a place to get money fastly with one reason its price is really volatile.

But you have to know, although its price is volatile that is not guarantee to make you get rich fastly. Maybe there is way to get that but you have to spend a lot of money as your capital to be traded or to be invested. Take a look with the price movement at 2017 ago, how many percent bitcoin price increased? That is a looot. You may need one year to increase almost 1000x profit when you buy it in the early of 2017 and you can sell it at the end of 2017.

So, be carefull with this thing because there will be many offer although with different way. Clearly, you have to know the legit place (investment) will never ask you profit with a definite amount.

As far as I can remember, you can only have 100 percent ROI for a long time frame in crypto, mostly, before with the new projects in ICO's there are many projects that starts their tokens at lower value and get's higher and higher though, I don't think people really do get the 100 percent profits, but still, these coins achieve a high value in the market now. Try to look at the Coin market cap. There, you can see other cryptocurrency and you can inspect and see histories of this coins if you wish.

If Invest $1 and make $10 after 5 days that means I can make $1000 in 15 days?? With $1?? in a month I will make over a million??? With 1$???

You just need to have gone to school to see that this is a scam. If you fall for this you can only blame yourself.

100% ROI within days is absurd for me. I am a trader so I know that it is not really sure to get back 100% ROI that fast. And refrain from joining those telegram groups that are requiring you to invest, they are usually scam.
Never ever trust anyone.

You can earn in trading slowly and do not fall for those high returns. You can actually gain profits in trading without the help of any groups. Start off as a long term trader first, this moment is the proper time to buy coins. Or there are also still tg groups who offer free signals without requiring you pay before joining.

Better not trust easily this kind of offer a 100% of ROI. There’s no such guaranteed return of profit when investing and trading in crypto in just a short period of time. Actually there are many offer in telegram group so don't trust easily once you give your money it may scam you. $5000 within 5 days is a hell joke, best if you could learn to trade on your own, it will give you knowledge in trading and if you are willing to learn it will make it happen.

unfortunately there are still people who believe in such investments, and those who offer such projects may be part of the referral seeker, and they only look for people without investing in them. it would be better to keep the project away like that, they can leave at any time and certainly if we don't play fast in the hype then the funds will be lost.

There are many such channels on telegram and Twitter. They all are scam. One more thing you should care about is the signal groups. Those are just pump and dump and in the hope getting profits don't follow their signals as well.

I'm certain that's a scam. Report the group and leave. The offer just doesn't make any sense. If anyone could 10x their investment why would they ask for your money? Besides, trading is not that easy. You just can't make your balance 10x in 5 days.
You are right about that because the one who can make such profits will not wast his time in such things because ×10 in 5 days is enough

Thanks

Don't get involved in get rich quick venture,  it will definitely swallow your investment.  If profit making is that easy, they will keep the secresecret to themselves.
Don't even give it a second thought,  its definitely a shame. People can only Mentor you on how to become an independent trader, and not money doubling through such means.

Be careful of group trading on telegrams that offer rewards or profits to good to be true, because such a thing is
characteristic of scams. If that kind of thing, there is nothing in trading to get 10x profit within 5 days. As offered
the group is very instant, investing $ 500 and will get back $ 5,000 makes no sense to me. Things like that are very
clearly the actions of scammers.

If you depend on some else to determine the direction flow of your capital, then you are welcome to the losing club. That telegram group should be reported and it is a professional scam to deceive newbie like you of what is not obtainable.

I can bet with you that 99.9% of them are not true. This is very common on telegram. You get added to a signal providing group and you will be promised of making good return on investment from the signal they will be giving out. The truth of the matter is that many of these groups are working in coordinate with aim of pumping a particular coin and using somebody like you as leverage. They will have many of the similar groups so, in all the groups, they will drop a signal about a particular coin so when you rush to go and buy, you will just discover that the price you are buying might be the highest price the coin will ever reach before it starts to fall back and before you know it you will end up losing your money. This has happened to me in the past. be careful.

People who get caught by the scammer’s techniques are those who do not have enough knowledge of the market and its working. Only few people get the knowledge of the market before starting investments. This is also one of the biggest reasons behind increasing crimes in crypto market. When people don’t understand the strategies they don’t realize that they are moving toward the wrong way.

thank you to successful people who have given me experience about bitcoi, As time goes by, and more and more people are interested in bitcoin, and making bitcoin their place of investment, the more investors will become victims of bitcoin investment, bitcoin price movements are difficult in predictions so that if there is the lure of high returns from bitcoin investment then we must strictly avoid it,
