Title: Nice Increase in Price but What Next??
Post by: mrquackquack on January 06, 2020, 11:11:42 PM
We have all seen it before.. A nice pump here and there and then BOOM a big DUMP.. It's almost disheartening really but still.. What will come next of this little rise? Will it hold true and keep its position or will it come crashing down again and again. In my opinion i believe that Bitcoin would have to reach an over  10,000 usd mark to see a "bigger" style of a bull run. For now it's just going back and forth in a 6-8k range. None the less my friends only time will tell but until then what are some of your thoughts? As usual your thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Thanks again.

A nice pump here and there and then BOOM a big DUMP..
Maybe that's what's going to happen here, maybe not.  What I can say is that I'm very glad bitcoin is at $7744 right now, because that's the highest it's been since November.  And man, it feels like it's been way longer than that.

So I don't know if what we're seeing is the start of some upward momentum, but I hope so.  And if bitcoin drops back down below $7k again, I'll just take it in stride since I have no way of influencing what happens.  The market is going to do whatever it wants to do, and there's nothing to be done by any of us except to sit here and watch it all unfold.

I've pulled up a battered lawn chair and got me a big tub of popcorn, and I'll have my eyes glued to preev for a while.

It's really a good increase of bitcoin price today! It was like 6800$ 1-2 weeks ago. seems that 2020 is probably a good year for bitcoin, hope this increase of price will continue during this whole year and we'll probably see a new high peak of bitcoin's price by the end of this year, probably 50k$ if everything will go well.

Don't forget that with time, the adoption is going stronger.
So even if the price is not jumping so high, we are getting a more stable price.
Increase in adoption will also ensure that the price will not drop hard, if in case it will drop.
I am very positive that we are in the positive direction with several situations that are upcoming this year.

Isnt it strange how it waited until after the holidays to all the sudden spurt up so suddenly like that? Usually you would think with all the gift buying as well as bitcoin purchasing it would do this during those days. But alas it has to do it a week into the new year.
Oh bitcoin what a mystery you are. ;D

There will be a severe dump, once again. We are still in the cold, dark winter from the EOY 2017 fallout.

The price is rising too fast, I'm ready to bet $50 it won't last until the end of the week, (we can use escrow if you want :D)

And of course, as we're used to, it will decrease to a higher percentage. Be ready to see the price going below $7000 next week, you have 6 days left. I won't be surprised. While waiting you can continue to speculate to find a reason about this pump. Iran Vs USA, halving whatever. :D
Don't be so excited

yes this is a great start today bitcoin almost touched $ 8k. hopefully at the end of this January bitcoin can reach $ 10k. if bitcoin can reach $ 10k at the end of this January I am optimistic that bitcoin will be a bull run this year. although maybe bitcoin will go down again before it halves but I think the dump won't be big. these two years we are on a downward trend, hopefully in 2020 this is an upward trend.

bitcoin fell on January 2 at around $ 6,985, and then improved quite well in the 5 days after that, I read the article btc increase was preceded by an injection of $ 500 million in USDT market capitalization (https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-climbs-as-tether-gets-500m-injection-in-5-minutes), and also related to talk of safe haven assets amid tensions in Iran. It might indeed be welcomed with market reaction and I hope the price can return to $ 10k smoothly with some market re-evaluation.

We see the current price of a big pump for the future this means that there has been a time when bullun where traders are happy to see like this prices continue to rise in the short time.
Bitcoin will continue to rise in the next few days, possibly reaching as much as 10K USD, because experts predictions are correct in guessing the price.
Whatever happens in the future I am sure will make a lot of profit with their trading and for bitcoin holders.

That is very true, time is on our side. Compared to 2013 or even 2017, the purchased Bitcoins are much better distributed between my community. The system works and it needs many more shoulders. Adoption is maybe not loud and noisy, but it is there.

pumps and dumps are common in trade, at the moment the market is showing a positive movement, according to my analysis the price will continue to rise if able to penetrate $ 8,000 but there is no analysis that is 100% accurate, that's just my opinion, it's best to do your own research and don't rely too much on the opinions of others.

Exactly, we have seen this many times before, people getting excited because of the pump. If I'm not mistaken the last pump what supposedly due to the President of China statement about blockchain and everyone was jumping for joy saying blah ... blah ... blah ..

And after that follows a big dump, Lol. This could just be a bull trap for all we know. So stay cool, let things settle down first and adjust our trading plans. Don't look for a bull run because it looks like another artificial spike for me.

Maybe the current bullrun will slowly come in the near future because the price of bitcoin has shown a positive direction, let alone it will continue to fall 8k and continue with a short time.
I am still holding fast to this halving in May because I am sure that after it happens it will continue to a higher level and it will even reach 15k. This is really amazing if it really happens because history will repeat again this year.
Go go Bitcoin Pump !!! ;D

This is a great start of the year. I have watched some youtubers in the first 3 days of this year being all grumpy and saying that this year isn't starting good because there are some red candles. Traders were out again saying that we are going back to torm a low at 5k and that if there's a pump it will end at that big 7k resistance.

Bad news is that until we break above 9k again we're still in a bear market and this will probably end with us going sideways between this former resistance of 7k and 9k.
Good news, this looks like a proper consolidation before a bull market.

Maybe we can see the price 8k to 9k then bitcoin will reverse to 7.8K to 8.2k. But I think with 3-4 months bitcoin price will be 10K$,that will be stable. In my view we will see the bull run in June or July.If not happen bull run in this year, but we will see bitcoin big moves.

Conservatively, I'm looking for $8,500-$8,700:

The top of the descending channel (on Bitstamp) is around $8,700 and dropping. The weekly 20-MA is in the $8,500s. So I figure that's the first resistance zone to expect. It would be reasonable to take some profit there and re-assess.

I think bears will attempt a selloff at the top of the descending channel. Instead of failing there, I'm hoping the market consolidates and breaks above the upper channel line. That will be an indication of long term bullish reversal. Time will tell.

Well, the price pump was relatively slow, compared to the unstable pump of October where in the same time frame, price increased by $1000 or so. Instead of a sudden dump because of this, I'd hope for a sideways movement with the price going down a bit as the general movement, but would stay above $7.8k I'd say it would take the market to get used to the price by 4-5 days before starting another new movement. There could be a case just like the November - December movement where it kept going sideways for quite some time, but seeing as it is the new year and possible influences of the halving approaching, the said situation could potentially be ignored.

In my opinion i believe that Bitcoin would have to reach an over  10,000 usd mark to see a "bigger" style of a bull run. For now it's just going back and forth in a 6-8k range.
We are still in the bearish run after all. Considering the Mid year of last year till today, you could see that BTC hasn't made a successful jump over the $13k barrier set by then, and even exceeding the $8k barrier this past few months have been considerably difficult. Just hope that the pump right now is a sign of it trying to break through, and that a 5% increase today could be enough of a foundation.

Well, it still haven't broken the 8k resistance which had been stopping bitcoin from increasing again.
I guess we still need to wait for that.
This ain't a pump yet.
Although there might be investors buying now preparing for the halving, there might still be a little of them who is optimistic about it.
We still need to wait for a month to say it is really a pump. This could just be a fluctuation which is happening.
Going to buy a lot of popcorn for this.

Nice increase for bitcoin can growing to higher price, but possibility or not bitcoin will back down again and keep lower price. We hope today bitcoin have go to higher price and keep continue for growing up until bitcoin on the safety place with $16k for get chance all altcoin have higher price, many altcoin keep enjoy whit lower price and make me have hold it.

however, I think that this is recovery before the price is really pumped. I am pretty sure that the current conditions are different from the previous conditions. that is because at this time it is due to the potential price increase on continued by halving and other developments. although this is a gradual recovery, but I think this will bring the price of bitcoin to the moon.

Seeing the price of bitcoin slowly increasing is a good news for investors holding btc but whats next after this is still unknown. We cant predict if this will continue or just another uptrend to take advatage.

Nevertheless lets just wait and see how long this positive movement last, what I know is its a good start for 2020 because many of us are hoping for bull run this year since there's a halving that will happen in few months.

i guess there is fresh money coming in after the winter break, holiday is over now and people looking excited to play some games especially those whales , making $1000 to $2000 daily from this situation is something really possible , so i bet things won't be easy for bitcoin to continue rising.

an ups and downs will still occured.

eventhough i a little bit confused that this supposed to be an altcoins season but bitcoin following to rise currently.
as we have witnessed that when altcoins go up , bitcoins usually gets a minor drop or maybe just stucked.
we will see what is going on at the end of this month hopefully.

What next? Hm, we need to prepare for the next down because we already saw that the price increase higher and almost hit $8000 (or in some exchange the price hit that number). We don't know how higher the price can increase, but for sure, after this increases, the price will adjust to the new level, and usually, the price will go down for a while at the end of the weekend. We hope that the price is not going down lower than the last low price that we already saw because if that happens, the bitcoin price will be difficult to raise again. But if we check on the trend, this week seems the right way for bitcoin price to start increasing, but we still need to be careful with the next things that can occur.

Of course in 2020 it is hoped that the market will rise again at least before halving, the price of bitcoin can reach $ 10k to see Bull return.
For me this is a good sign at the beginning of the year, and let's see where it will go ......

Title: Re: Nice Increase in Price but What Next??

A drop. Well, I wouldn't really consider it a drop but rather a consolidation of sorts to let the market agree with the sudden price increase. It only took 4 hrs or so for the price to increase by 5% which no matter how I look lacks a bit of foundation. If it took lets say the entire day for the entire process to happen, I could safely say there and then that there's a high chance of the price staying there, at least for 3 days before making a possible change. As for the price increase today, just looking at its current state from earlier today, it has already dropped by a $100 or so, so I'd guess the market is forcefully accepting the current change.

I'm expecting an adjustment in the near term.

Prices have obviously risen significantly over the past few days but I think that it's going to take a while longer before the bull market actually sets in - people are still reserved and with that kind of sentiment, it is difficult to see any sort of major bullish event happening on the horizon.

Perhaps when we get closer to May, when the halving is, we will see $10k being broken. Right now $8k could be breached but $10k is still a stretch imho.

That is not new every pump of bitcoin expect that there is dump but i think bitcoin once recover the price its continue to go forward. And maybe theres a dump but not a big dump only a little so be positive about bitcoin its already 2020 so think positive so that we will get a good profit once bitcoin will goes up. And many more investor will be happy. Hold and be patience.

Of course, there's nothing more to expect here than dump. The question here is that how long the pump would take? And how high it will reach? Well, anyway, we have been more relaxed these past few weeks resting around at 7k USD and now price are spiking up, I just felt quite nervous because isn't it early for this to happen?

This is the first price increase from November 2019 to the present. Bitcoin has reached 8000 $ today and is still showing signs of further price increases. If Bitcoin can surpass 8000 $ in the next few days, I believe the price will quickly go up to 10000 $. I have been buying bitcoins since December and so I'm relaxing to see what happens next, once the halving comes I think the Bitcoin price will easily surpass 14k $ and create a new ATH.

The current price of bitcoin is around $ 7,800 more and to break through $ 8,000 in my opinion there is a possibility it will happen this month, it is indeed difficult to predict the current bitcoin movement because bitcoin easily reverses the situation suddenly.
But I am optimistic that bitcoin this year will tend to increase although there are a few more declines but will be more likely to increase and will be different from the previous price.

maybe what you mean is pump. besides, we have actually been in the area of $ 7k for so long, even since 2019. However, right now we are really waiting for a pump that actually carries the price of bitcoin to exceed $ 10k. it has already been passed in 2019, I think this year the pump can more easily reach a higher price than the previous year. Well, then we wait for the price of $ 8k this week.

You are too pessimistic.

We have also seen 12k which took for a long time.
Yes, it stayed there. The dump didn't happen so fast unlike the year 2017-18 which cannot be forgotten.

This is a good sign. Might as well think that there will be no more cheap price later on. This could be the last.

Deal with it!

Any markets would really be on this way or behavior yet this only compose by 2 which is buyers and sellers. Therefore, expect for these kind of
movements but the difference on crypto is the volatilibility intensity so we cant really stop nor presume that pumps and dumps wouldn't happen again. We might see sideways movement but doesn't mean it would last long.In any price spikes there would be a significant correction and its an inevitable. At least we do see some recovery came from 3k price which is good, we might not able to see ATH soon but I would prefer on a gradual phase.

You won't really have a problem with these fluctuations if you  have a price target to sell. Having an entry and exit strategy on a trade especially on volatile assets like Bitcoin is something a trader should know if they want to start earning than rather having problems with what will happen next. Aside from that I should highlight the point that the volatility of Bitcoin is something that we don't want to be just on standby since we would just be wasting a lot of opportunity for it, so I think we should actively have a trading plan for our exits and re-entry points.

I don't think that markets are necessarily ready for $10k yet despite what some people may tell you.

There is likely so more time to go before that becomes a reality. But what is a reality already is the fact that we're experiencing bullishness that hasn't really been experienced for a while, and we've also found support at $7k.

All of that combined imo point towards the inevitable bull run this year. How high it goes no one knows but I think that its likelihood is extremely high.

Well we are 8k+ usd

We are almost at $8400 and the train does not slow down. Now it will be the worst moment, because at some point the train will have to slow down. The most difficult question is whether there will be only a small correction and the train will go further, whether there will be a flash crash and we will drop under $7000  ??? ::)

If you've buying when Bitcoin is trading at $7000 level or even lower, you have a reason to rejoice, you can cash out for profit, or you can hodl a little longer for an additional profit, we should be happy because we finally bridge the $8000, it's lower if you compare it to what experts are expecting, it's now a wait and see if it continue or will pull back, things are getting very interesting now.

If there's a rise, of course there is a fall. That's unavoidable, someone will reach a selling point. There's no such thing as continuous rise. If the price is increasing more than usual, it will fall fast as well. It's good if it hold at some point but if not, still fine, atleast we've seen a rise again since staying in $7k floor. We've got this rise early, if we reached $10k before halving, maybe it's a good sign that something good will happen after that event but then i'm not forgetting on how our expectations always messed up because of volatility.

The price had already breakthrough $8000 and is presently at $8300+ a major  indication of bullish market of. course $10K is very attainable this month with way the price is pumping in last few days although the price might experience some minor pullback or retracement however I don't it expect the pullback to be too dip before its continuation upward.

We have all seen it before.. A nice pump here and there and then BOOM a big DUMP..

OP gave the answer on his own question, after increase we can expect decrease. We can consider one more scenario, after rise we can see even higher rise, and only after we will see a drop. Volatile market is a volatile market, for sure we can't expect price to be stable when many wait price to go to 20k, or to drop lower, so they can buy. One thing is sure, who bought under 7k can consider selling now for profit and wait new deep for buying again, or can wait price to increase more before selling. Who didn't buy the deep should think twice before entering now, price can go higher, but it can drop too, from my perspective chances are 50/50.

This is the first price increase from November 2019 to the present. Bitcoin has reached 8000 $ today and is still showing signs of further price increases. A good start for bitcoin at the beginning of this year, and yesterday the price of bitcoin was $ 7800 and now it has reached around $ 8,300 and I am sure to reach $ 10,000 will be getting closer because in the last few days bitcoin tends to go up, and although there are some small declines but bitcoin is back up from the price of the previous decline.

bitcoin will be reduced by half in May this year if we look at the history of bitcoin in 2016. then bitcoin will continue to increase before bitcoin is reduced by half. if this history repeats itself, then bitcoin will continue to rise until May. and now bitcoin has left the $ 7k level. I'm optimistic that bitcoin will increase again. maybe at the end of January this bitcoin value can reach $ 9k.

It's just the beginning of the year but bitcoin's price is starting to rise, but let's not worry about what's going to happen next. It is nice to take this moment to gain profit as what we want. don't over think to what will be happen and let's be positive that bitcoin is reaching or surpassing it's current price. all the situation happening now are surely affect bitcoin's price so we should not let our guard down and our focus.

Price were said to increase due to Iran-US war tension. It may seems unrelated but many threads were discussing these recent pump. If it's really due to this we may want not the price to continue increasing since war may lead into severe effect in everyone's economy. We may take advantage of this price but we need to hope and pray that war will not happen anytime soon.

I feel like the next move would be to establish the price at around these levels, I know its unlikely that we will not move and stop but that should be at least the most important thing. If you had the control of bitcoin for a whole month and they gave you one option of either going up crazily to $20k right away but then have the possibility of going down to $3k again in the future (not guaranteed, a possibility) or have the price stay around these prices between $8k and $10k but guaranteed that it will never go under $8k, which one would you pick?

I personally would pick the guaranteed $8k over risky $20k honestly. That is why if we could build a new support around $8k level that is very strong just like the $6.9k support that kept us from not going down, that would be lovely.

Im still not convinced on this sudden price increase and maybe price will go back again in normal like $7,000 - $7,500 . Maybe this price pump are just manipulated only and i think there's sudden dump will occur.

Because whales will manipulate this price and they will probably dump this again.

Seeing bitcoin back again above $10k and most people excited because can get back their profit after long time waiting whit their assets back to higher price, not have waiting for long days in new year for giving bitcoin have back whit higher price, but we still worried about why altcoin not have change after bitcoin up.

So Bitcoin after crossing $7600 resistance is now testing $8200. If the volume permits it can easily go $9k+. But that won't be easy as breaching three resistances together gonna be tough for bulls in such a bearish market. If you look overall, the sentiments are still of bearish.
But similarly there is a lack of volume in bears too and hence, they aren't much motivated for keeping the price down. So, I guess the correction will definitely happen but after one more up wave.

Without continuation, this is most probable to drop down to high 7000s.

Bears of 2 months past will be euphoric and glee about a "confirmed rejection" from the big downtrend line on their charts. Some deliberations will be made about long/short ratio on Bitfinex requiring a reset.

Then it'll retake 8400 and keep going within the range of the past year. They'll draw some more lines. Maybe they'll short some more, I don't know where it ends.

Meanwhile, I'll join the trend and take profit.

Do not get disheartened. It is part of the bitcoin market. We will see a few dumps before we can actually enter another bull run. So prepare for it.

What will come next of this little rise? Will it hold true and keep its position or will it come crashing down again and again. In my opinion i believe that Bitcoin would have to reach an over  10,000 usd mark to see a "bigger" style of a bull run. For now it's just going back and forth in a 6-8k range.
The last bull run, it was over 12K before crashing back down to 7K. It is not just breaking the 10K barrier but having enough support to sustain that price. Right now, the price is rising to rapidly to have stable support.

Bitcoin price has been decreasinh again currently, and has fallen below $8000 that I think that is will be the lower price in this year but it was just my speculation and it went wrong.

Indeed, there is no one who will know how much bitcoin price in the future. But at lest at this situation I can make a conclusion that there are many new people who believe that bitcoin is another safe place to store money.

And I believe there will be many people as well who wait the halving event comes and its price should be increase again. So, there is no more to be afraid again, just take it because I'll believe someone who has known bitcoin now but he still find an information about bitcoin will be chagrined at the end.

Bitcoin is rising this year pretty much the same as other metals did. However we are rising far less than something like Rhodium

My one piece of advice, get used to it, it's  been going on for the last two years, the market is very volatile, it is driven by profit and greed, lots of temptation and  FOMO, the best thing that you can do is to take care of your portfolio, and get the best out of the market condition, I bet so many people are glued in the price every hour of the day, and yet do not know what's coming.

The dump already happened last August from 13k USD.
I dont thing it will be repeated.
Time for a pump. The right time should be now before the halving.
It will make sense for all the crypto enthusiast but not for the newbies who will just buy now.
What if this price will be the cheapest they can get? Time to go in.

What next is obviously a dump and it's already happening. People should expect after a price pump there's always a price correction that will going to follow and we are almost getting back to the normal price range of $7,000 from before. That was the best time to make a profit if some of you are doing a scalping.

It’s not only today but since long this thing is happening in crypto market. People makes market rise and fall as when more people buy it so price will increase but no one knowns how must it will rise and how long it needs to hold. I think the next step should be massive purchasing if we will buy more it will help market this stable market higher and higher, so keep patience and don’t sell yet.

You guessed it right! A nice pump and then a slow dump. This pump was just because of the recent chaos and then when things started to settle, the price is also going down slowly. Hope it stays above $7,500 USD.
Jumping right to $10,000 isn't going to be considered as a healthy rise. I would also love to see the price reach the mark, but in a slow and steady way. Wouldn't even mind if it took months to get there.

What we are expected to happen?
It might all of us here are expecting to see Bullish again as the market starts to pulling up high. We started with an amazing market trend as halving approaches. But somehow, along with the continuous journey of crypto we can't certainly assure that it all be in the uptrend motion. Besides, declines may still exist and dumping and pumping schemes will always be there.

At least if Bitcoin is stable at 8000 USD it will be easier to reach 10k USD or even more. Today's bitcoin correction is normal I guess, although, certainly makes some people panic let alone the increase in Bitcoin by more than 7% in the day yesterday. Hopefully, this will be a good start for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. we can see Bitcoin is starting to move up again followed by Altcoin aswell.

The clearest choice for us right now is to either break the next resistance and go even further high, or might as well go back down to 7k where we were without moving much. I mean I don't get the point of going up just a bit and than not doing anything, we might as well just stayed at the same price without moving at that point. However if we could get together and break the next resistance, we can go up towards the resistance after that, which would be around 11k (a bit less) if I am not wrong and thats where things get real fun, we will be capable of going even further up with all the hype and fomo goes around when we reach there if we could do it quickly.

It's a bull trap actually and it's okay you missed to sell you might caught the trap going up thinking it could pump more. Scalping is very good during that time but it happens often so I don't think traders have the patience to wait like that. If you are aiming for a long term investment then aim for the bull run after the halving. Wait till Bitcoin surpass the ATH.

This is the best time for scalp trading indeed, the fact that there's a lot of ups and down happening in Bitcoin right now. But these pumps we are now experiencing is not good enough for folks who used to long term investment so I guess it is better if we will wait after the halving. I think the Bitcoin's price will only play around $6-10k until the we enter the halving.

Bitcoin is again back to the 8000$ level and we may see alts bleed again with this pump. If the market stays above that level with good volume then it will be good for alts in the future to accumulate more before another season. Lots of people made good profits using leverage trading and this might be the best time to do scalp trading.

actually I also don't know what will happen next. bitcoin volatility is very high difficult to predict. at the moment the price of bitcoin has returned to the level of $ 8k. in my opinion at the end of January the price of bitcoin can reach $ 9k. and there is also the possibility that bitcoin will dump again before decreasing by half. and I think if bitcoin dumps the lowest level is $ 6k.

But scalping is not a preferable strategies for all traders. Scalpers are for intermediate traders only, scalping is not good strategies for newbies in the market because they cannot handle the volatility of cryptocurrencies. The preferable strategy that we use is a swing trading strategy where we will buy at support and we will sell it in resistance. Even if it will take days or weeks, it is a good strategy to use.

Looking at the movements lately, it looks like a "bull lookout" to bitcoin in general. Doesn't mean it will go up but whenever there is a hype around bitcoin that would increase the price, it usually reflects on price as well unless something major happens. Don't get me wrong those are all possible in bitcoin, there is no regulations so the whales look at the price and see how it goes up and just simply waits until the run stops and as soon as it stops they both buy short futures and sell all their coins so they end up profiting double both thanks to avoiding the fall thats caused by their own sell plus make money on the short futures.

in my opinion bearish is looking more strong than Bullish, if bitcoin price dump to 7600 it will probably down to 6000-6500, but conversely if bitcoin price goes up to 8400 and can last in a few days it's very likely to head for 9k-10k.

That's bitcoin, you should know it by now that the price moves differently all the time, there are times that it will give us a nice increase in price and we normally think it will increase all the way but to our surprise it will go down which will leave us disappointed. You are asking what's next? no one knows what's next but there are only two things that could happen, it will either increase continuously or it will give us fluctuations in price. Either way we should be ready at all times and try to make out of each situation.

At present the price of bitcoin is more than $ 8,000 and in my opinion it is still in a good price position and if there is a gradual increase even though it is slow there is a possibility of reaching $ 10,000 in the next few months there is a possibility of reaching or exceeding that price.
and that is my opinion and everyone has different predictions or opinions and but that is not always true, we all hope that bitcoin continues to increase and reach the highest price.

I hope so, and this increase is not some bull trap.  We have lots of articles on the internet regarding Bitcoin going to 5 digits.  I'm so into seeing it happen soon.  This increase of Bitcoin from $7k to 8k+  this early of the year is a good sign, plus the halving that will happen soon, there is no denying that Bitcoin started strong this year and hoping that the next run of Bitcoin will bring it to $15k then all the way to breaking ATH.

Thanks again.
well it has been two weeks now and the market is showing some good stuffs like trying to be strong in $8,000 value.

we are almost 4 and 1/2 months to go before Bitcoin Halving and if this stabilizing continues to happen>?there is no doubt that we will be facing an early bull run this year.

I hope early on next month bitcoin could raise above $10k for giving chance to other altcoin back to higher price, when bitcoin back above $10k maybe could give chance for many holder get motivate for keep holding and trading with bitcoin or altcoin again, but when bitcoin down many altcoin must wait in lower price.

We can't be at a hundred percent that all altcoins will follow the trend of bitcoin. I may so hopeful for potential altcoins to rise but I'm still not confident to those altcoins that are already been dead for many years. It is quit to think that, even Bitcoin is in the bullish but it couldn't be a reason to push the entire market to soar high, instead, it all depends on the market support.

Bull trap or not, we must still have to control ourselves despite of having no assurance to gain a good profit this month. For most people who still holds digital asset, the chance is always there for us. Just believe in yourself that there's nothing imposible as long as you staying positive with your ideas that the market will soon overcome different hindrances and then acquire the best price in history.

A big price rise is good for the speculators, but it means little unless it can be sustained. Personally I'd rather see a steady rise to $10k to build some solid support rather than a crazy fomo leap to $15k that is then likely to dump again.
Part of the reason the 2018 bear went so low was that no support levels had been built into the rise.

The chance is always there in a year with a Bitcoin halving. The chances to the upside are much better right now, just don't forget to have some strong hands in the wild swings up which are just ahead of us.

We still can’t truly say that, the price this started strong at $8000 and it shows a very positive trend but regardless of how it moves now there is still a possibility that it will go down even more. Though it is still many days after next month, many things can still happen and I just hope it will be for the best.

It's certainly true that previous halvings have led to price increases... but each time it happens, the more the expectation it will happen again at the next halving, and so the more likely for it already to be priced in.
Personally I do think there will be a rise, but perhaps not the mega-rise that some people are expecting.

I definitely agree with you about the wild swings, too - those aren't going away any time soon!

Who's there to say that if something is unexpected it will happen and when it's expected it won't?

Bitcoin pumps did not happen because they were unexpected but because there were some extraordinary circumstances surrounding them like in 2013 Mt.Gox bot was pumping the price and in 2017 there was a mix of futures + etf hype and probably some influence of USDt.

Wild swings or slow pace movements then it doesn't matter as long we do see some progress into its price.People are just expecting way too much on things but we cant blame those perceptions yet we have seen in the past on how halving affects the market entirely and that's the thing that cant really be erased on ones mind specially to those who have been in this market for how many years.

such events are common in crypto. rises and dumps are already happening every day. it's just that if hopes for a pump are high, I think this month is uncertain. maybe by the end of this year it could reach $ 10,000 - $ 15,000. in my opinion, currently there are still many whales who want to hoard bitcoin at low prices. so that prices remain falling.

Prices may not move as fast as we were all hoping even halving is about to happen. We can experience the rises and increases this month till before halving but prize upto what amount is still not guaranteed. So while we still have chance to acquire btc before the price escalated then we better accumulate and see whether upto what amount before halving it can reach.

How things gonna change with time isn't known, but looking upon the growth that we've been experiencing it is possible to reach $9000 soon. Before touching the $9000 barrier it seems to have hard price fluctuations, but the same won't take the price fall low to $8000 as the market has gained good resistance at $8000. It won't go till the year end to reach $10000.

We should ignore predictions all over the internet and we should just focus on current price action in the chart. If the price will not go down below $8000, then it means that there are now interested buyers. It is pyschological support so it can considered as major support. If the price will continue to grow, then we should expect that the price of the bitcoin may touch $9000 per each.

It could even be 10k viewed from a more distant weekly view presuming a break of final resistance amounts to a larger move possible

Theres more detail within the picture and likely areas of hesitation such as the 200 day average at like 9100.
Have to say its turning into a more bullish look recently though I never expect it to run straight lines like its on a railway track, its more like a monster truck rally :p

And what we see now is the price of bitcoin has reached around $ 8500 more and gradually the movement of bitcoin tends to increase and will approach $ 9,000 and will most likely occur in the near future.
and this is a good start for the movement of bitcoin at the beginning of the year and hopefully bitcoin will continue and continue to increase gradually to reach the highest price.

Of course, the price increase is always very pleasant to watch on the charts. However, in my opinion the price is rising too quickly. This is not a natural increase, but more likely it is pumping prices. I would like to say that this is the beginning of a bull run, but I'm afraid it may still be a bull trap.

Nothing will be lost from those who invested and bought BTC if this is just a bulltrap unlike those who are trade in margins. The analysis by the users in youtube says that halving FOMO starts very early which is why just right now, investors are coming to buy coins and even altcoins before the price spikes up that they may be able to buy at higher price.

there is a possibility that the current market price increase that is so fast is a bull trap, but not necessarily that can be justified because bitcoin will reduce by half, and usually in previous years when bitcoin reduces by half it is likely there will be a sharp increase afterwards

Bitcoin tried to reach 9000 and since then it suffered a huge correction in a matter of hours and now for what I see it seems the fundamentals are bearish so I'll not be surprised if we see an even bigger correction that brings us back closer to the 8000 level or even below it, right now there is a huge battle at the current levels and that is why the price is not moving much but it seems that the bears have the upper hand and will eventually make the price to go down once again.

There is more chances for drop in the price over the next few months along with price corrections. We've begun to experience the growth as well as the correction of the market. The same will continue till the days close to halving. The growth can't be stated precisely like other markets. From all that changes taking place over the past few weeks we will get time to invest at a lower price before halving. Good to be prepared for it.

There is now a confirmation that the bull market will start, the price is now consolodating at 100 MA. The recent pullback that happen is a healthy pullback because the price decrease and the volume also increase where it is consider as a sign of bullish trend. The indicator that I always monitoring currently is the moving average of 50 and 100. If those two moving averages crossover and there will be alignment of 20, 50 and 100 then the bullish trend is a confirm where we will see higher lows and higher highs.

I do not have target profit in uptrend because the expensive prices will become more expensive. The bitcoin has now consisting of momentum candles in both daily and weekly charts. There is now a momentum because buyers are seems interested again to it. As long as there will be no breakdown that will happen, the market will stay healthy. We are know in the markup stage where we will see a ladder like chart.

Well yeah, the technical analysis tells us so. The price would need to break through the most recent price peak (or resistance level) to realizes a bigger bullish run, period. It's like the waves on the beach, constant ins and outs (or highs and lows) and cyclical trends that drive those ups and downs.

Is there anything fundamental about the Bitcoin market place that you believe will impact price?

I buy in with this view too. I think we could be having price go side ways and ranging till a major bull starts to happen when halving come at the middle of the year. That is the major thing that could happen this year.

Since many of us are not sure in which market we have to trade, bullish or bearish, I want to offer a technical analysis based on a very simple but powerful trend following indicator. It is Ichimoku indicator where we can get a simple signal about the market direction. If the price is below the cloud, we have a bearish trend. If the price is above the cloud, we have a bullish trend . Just apply this indicator to 1D time frame, as you can see, in the daily chart we have a bullish trend. It means that we should search for buy opportunities in order to join the uptrend.

It looks like the next one after this rally is some correction.  After reaching $9k a few days ago, it stayed at $8.6k for some days before giving in and move lower to $8.4k.    This is probably a retracement for more accumulation before rallying towards the 5 digit price.

Yeah it's normal after a large-scale pump, it will be followed by the next dump, or bitcoin will be corrected soon. For the increase that is happening right now I think there are a lot of requests because bitcoin will experience halving and people don't want to miss this important and historic moment, because halving bitcoin is already there before and is followed at a good price. Hopefully the current increase is a sign that bitcoin will be bullish ahead of halving.

I can't hope for better in advance thinking mate, bullish signs can't be reflected based minimal increase. What's I am seeking to have is the huge bounce of btc price together with other altcoins. That's very important factor to gain confidence, that's why we need to buy the most potential coins in preparation of future bullrun.

Not just today, but all the time btc is unpredictable because it's never been predictable. All are just speculation or predictions made by our own mind base on graph, history, chart, situation, etc.

Just when we thought everything is doing fine then we have this again. The price resistance at $8.3k is being tested after breaking the support at $8.5k to $8.6k. Never thought we'll have this kind of hard situation again. I thought the price will be shaky sideways but more on impressive.

Likewise, you have that moment to find that these small pumps will lead to Bullrun's. Not that quite thinking we believe the market turn to bullish buy just seeing it in huge pumps, but might be maybe it just hype.
Anyway, we have different specs towards the market, may the others are satisfied with what it has shown today while the others are not convinced.

The price of bitcoin today is very unpredictable so be careful always to invest and don't buy bitcoin when it is at a high price it is best to observe first and make sure we are in the right timing to buy bitcoin. Because this will give us a huge profit.

Since Bitcoin exists, the price is always unpredictable. when the price of bitcoin was still hundreds of dollars, people did not believe that the price of bitcoin could reach thousands or even tens of dollars, and now it is like that. if it's a matter of speculation, then it won't be endless.
however, when bitcoin reaches a high and good price, then the next thing is people will again predict that bitcoin can reach a higher price, well that is common. at the moment the price of bitcoin is slightly decreasing, but in the near future, I think the price will recover, and rise at a better price.

I can see some folks buying bitcoin as an asset when they see it starts to gain some price increase, but it was totally a reversed mindset because it doesn't went profitable when they're unfortunate during price starts to crash badly. That's right we will potentially gain huge profit when we're going to purchase bitcoin at lower price when it dips in value.

It looks about stagnant at the 8.6k usd mark, might try for the 9k mark again later in the week.
Yeah, I am expecting the price to be high this week because people show interest in bitcoin this year and they are taking more and more interest that’s making price graph higher to the ratio of 60 percent and that’s not miner change. Crypto keeps changing price never get stressed about the market if you see bearish hopefully this bullish trend will keep growing wider and someday it will be fully bullish.

From beginning 2020 bitcoin has been pumped almost 8 to 10% and still continues and now bitcoin price $7768 as per coinmarketcap and got 4% hike I hope that Bitcoin going to cross 10k mark within in end of January because there are all positive talks going about bitcoin and crypto and right situation for bullish in crypto market.
A market value of 50000 usd is a bit unrealistic knowing how early it is, at this moment. Things could still change but I hope that uprise would be more dominant than possible downfall as months are passing by. What I am pointing out is that, assuming for a future market value for your investment is just fine, but expecting too much won't be a good idea because you could be carried away that much and might possibly make absurd deisions.Take note of this market's past as a guide.

It looks like the next one after this rally is some correction.  After reaching $9k a few days ago, it stayed at $8.6k for some days before giving in and move lower to $8.4k.    This is probably a retracement for more accumulation before rallying towards the 5 digit price.
When you only watch the charts it may seem as if the growth of bitcoin and another bull market are inevitable but I am not so sure yet, when I see the other factors that charts do not take into account I am not so sure that is the case, I really believe we will have to wait until after the halving to begin to see some important positive movement in bitcoin, and what does this means for the current price? Most likely we are going to move sideways for a very long time.

It's not only a bit unrealistic, it's totaly unrealistic and exaggerated. Of course that maket growth and price rise is expected but real conditions in the market should be taken into consideration and current potential for price pump. And 50000$ definetely isn't the possible goal to reach any time soon, we have to be aware of it.

there are similarities in the Bitcoin price chart in 2018 and 2020, if Bitcoin is not able to pass $ 9300 it seems that the decline will re-occur until after halving, precisely in Q2 , keep looking at the chart, it is very important if you are a trader

Since the start of this year 2020. the price of Bitcoin have been through ups and downs. It gained its all time high this year at $11,500 but, in the present its faced many struggles and have decreased greatly from its former price in $10,000+. Lest, we should hope that this could only be a sign of a correction and would make a comeback in the coming days as the halving event comes closer.
