Title: Preferred altcoin for bullrun?
Post by: Wysi on January 07, 2020, 07:10:36 AM
Seems like we have started heading towards one more bull run now, as the value of most of the crypto has increased by almost $800 and those who have already missed out the bull run of 2017 will consider this as an opportunity. But which will be your favorite altcoin to invest this time? It was Ripple and ETH last time which rocked throughout the bull run last time but this time will it be the same or some other coin like TRON and XLM or else a different altcoin?

In my opinion, more suitable altcoins for this purpose is ETH, LTC, XLM, BNB these coins should show good growth in the bull market.

ETH will definitely follow the trend of the bitcoin market which dominates almost all crypto markets, but for others I expect an increase in dogecoin because I have almost 60% of my money from altcoin, at least a few satoshi or tens of satoshi this year will be very profitable for me

So many altcoins to choose from and it will be a little bit hard to pick the best one. But i prefer those altcoins on the top 100 cause they have a high chance to go bullish when bullrun starts.

BNB everyone! :D It has the biggest potential to become a strong top 5 coin in the future and that's what you are looking for. Not just 5-10x but also strong volume and community using it aka adoption. You need a reason for a coin to retain it's value in other ways than being scarce since cos we can see if you have basically infinite amount of cryptocurrencies they are losing their unique value a little bit.. People have to be using them in some other way than holding.

And what happens whenever Binance gets hacked next week? I'm not saying that's going to happen because I don't know for sure. My point is, it's too reliant on one central place and I worry what may happen to cause that coin to be worthless. As far as a good altcoin to hold onto for the next bull run, Ethereum is probably the number one. With the new update coming and the BTC halving happening soon, it will more than likely make a pretty good return and it's really cheap right now.

Any coin with product and high liquidity should always be the best coins to invest right now but isn't it too late for us to invest in crypto? this must be the main problem when you can't get into the market when it reaches the bottom price means if you will be taking a very big risk by betting on the bullish.
TRON and XLM are not showing the impressive charts compared with another coin like XRP or even BCH. I guess both are not the best coins right now. I just stick with a coin that is having very high ATH in 2018.
The timing should be another interesting thing to be discussed.

Well since everybody is gonna shill their bags here are a few suggestions that pop in my head:
Steem
N8V
BAT
Bitcoinsov
EOS

In all seriousness, I have really high hopes for BAT. It's one of the few cryptos with an actual working product and an echosystem behind it (BRAVE browser), that gets more popular by the day and imo has some chances to be used by everyday folks other than just crypto geeks.

I think BAT is a really good one as well, since in 2017 there where a lot of scam ICO's and garbage projects.
You really need to look for Crypto with a actual Product or goal.

BAT has his own browser and it's actually really good as well I have been using it for a while now and im almost not even using Chrome anymore.
They also recently added my country for the Ad earnings program so that is really nice as well.

Another really good one is Theta where you can Lend your Bandwith to people watching Streams and since I love gaming and also watch a lot of streams I think it could really be doing good.
It has a strong Community and also a nice program (which is still getting updates) to lend your bandwith to other people.

Also EOS is very undervalued I think, If u ever used it you will understand the Transactions are really fast and Almost free to.
Been really liking that when u see some of the transactions costs from certain Exchanges, and then Eos is free.
Especially when last bullrun Transaction costs for Bitcoin/Ethereum where skyhigh and it got really out of hand.

For me, I've diversified into IOTA and EOS over the past few months.

I think that these two coins will have very high potential and could both break into the top 3-5 range in market cap given the right conditions. IOTA essentially solves any scalability issues if things go to plan and has seen significant development over the past year or so, especially with their GUI; while EOS, being a Larimer project, can always pump easily when people get hyped about it and we're seeing decentralized apps being established on their blockchain already.

But ETH and LTC are my other picks as well. Both are going to likely be more stable and less prone to fluctuations though.

Although the price of Bitcoin has risen to more than 800 $, but the price of ETH is still stuck at 145 $ and without any growth. I'm afraid for the future of ETH because if ETH cannot break the price of 145 $ then it will quickly return to 100 $ soon. ETH is no longer my best altcoin choice at this point, it's best to buy BNB and a few other cheap altcoins because its chances of price increase will be much higher than ETH

also do not forget the fact that bnb reached its new ath last year which is very unlikely for it to go crazy because the price is not undervalued. it is understandable for you to recommend bnb when we are getting near to the bear market because they know how to maintain the price of their token, but right now we are getting near to the bull which means every undervalued project will retain its price again. why do not you buy something like stratis, eth that is clearly undervalued?

A different altcoins for me like Ethereum, bnb, Tezos and other low sats coins that has a potential in the future. I want to remeber what are the other coins and tokens that i have until now and hoping that someday it will going to have a good value again event half of its ath price will be good. For now i am believing in the top 10 in ranks which is almost there for most of the time. The other altcoins i will only buy because of trading and will going to trade it not top hodl anymore.

Chainlink for feeding data to the smart contracts

as xrp is my favorite coin so it looks like the cycle will be the same, xrp and ethereum are altcoin which will start bull run first. if we see today it should be a sign that these 2 coins are showing an upward movement that it is time to get out of the bearish area. as long as bitcoin has left its stable position and is moving up then I'm sure all altcoin will quickly follow it.

Ethereum and Doge still my good alts to choose.

I have my other options but I think these are my top priority this time. I don't have that big on held but I'm still hoping that these two will definitely go a little bit higher than last year.

Ethereum's one big upgrade will be a big hype for this year so hopefully, we'll get what we are expecting.

for me, In bull run we dont need to worry about choosing altcoin. bcz most of them will be pump
bcz altseason means that altcoin season. which most altcoin will be pump
i also remember that shitcoin on altseason can be pump too. altseason changed many people perspective about coin
but, we need to realize that most of them just pump and dump. dont forget to do money management

How about choosing it from the top coins in the marketcap? Investing from top 10 or 20 is quite strong to be an investment. Bull run will surely pump first those top coins although most altcoins wouldn't push their prices during bull run but some coins will due to the bitcoin bullish.

ETH!  thts my bullrun alt.   My buy all i can was 150$CDN, and its climbed a bit, tho mainly just thru its BTC peg so far :P
Way i see it, ETH is gonna go PoS eventually, maybe not this year, or even next, but EVENTUALLY.  the longer it takes the more ill have stacked to stake :)
I feel ETH is also low risk of implosion if the market cashes out, as it has a solid amount of liquidity. Many lower cap alts will bleed first is what im thinking
The bloodbath in 2018 when everyone tried to cash out at once was intense haha, dont wanna see THAT again : /

I agree something as niche as an exchange token will eventually get replaced just like with most companies, others will come along and eventually take them out.  What happens when binance is just another crappy exchange with little to no volume, the token inherently is tied to it and allows for no flexibility beyond that.  I dont like the long term outlook for bnb

Many people will have different thoughts when it comes to this coin but I think it will be much easier to make a profit if you choose BNB because this is a very good coin and usually increases in price if there is good news or new IEO project. In fact, this coin has helped me earn more than 300% profit and until now I still feel happy about what happened in the past.

I am considering investing in this coin again this year and will wait for the right time to buy because it is certain that by 2020 the value of BNB will probably reach a new price and soon reach $50 in the near future.

I am more convinced that the top altcoins such as the coins that you mentioned will still be the ones that will rock this bull run. ETH, XRP, LTC, XLM are going to be the altcoins that will benefit more on this current bull run. Of course, so many altcoins will be rising due to this bull season but we all know that the top altcoins are always the leaders.

Recently, very negative information about XRP has appeared. For example:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/senior-software-developer-at-ripple-quits-after-65-years-to-focus-on-coil

So for sure it is not the best moment to invest in it.

If Ethereum hardfork succeeds without problems, in my opinion it will be a coin for investment in which in 2020 we will be able to earn the most.

The four coins you mentioned will indeed increase strongly, there are some things that I saw during the last bullrun where bch and btg will start the first spark increase after bitcoin, and then followed by the top 5 altcoins at that time. I also consider trx and bnb as new players who will definitely take part in breaking into the top ranking at the same time.

The market situation seems different, comrade. when market domination belongs to bitcoin and it's too strong the bull will only belong to bitcoin and altcoin will only move a little. I hope the bull that happens to be balanced with the growth of altcoin. if all happens smoothly then as you say the top altcoin currently has great potential to grow great.

It may give a lot of impact to the price of ripple but you must see the same chart is happening with ethereum too. Only altcoin that is creating DeFI that focused in the bitcoin as the main payment system that can follow the chart of bitcoin right now. If you meant about POS hardfork and it will be done next year and not this year.
ETH and RIPPLE still not the best choices right now. I prefer to call any coin that create a service that related to the bitcoin.

I agree that they will be the first which will be pump when altseason happen. But, the cons, you wont get big profit if we compared with shitcoin
bcz top 10 altcoin already got high marketcap, it means that coin needs much money to increase
it would be different with shitcoin which just needs few money to increase price.

Because they still hope for the certain coin in their portfolio to have a big development in the near future so they still keeping on holding it but yes we should be focusing more to the big coins lile ETH, XRP and of course bitcoin but i think XRP will not be a good one this year so i'll stick more to ETH which i expected to perform like it did in 2017.

Yes, Litecoin was my first altcoin investment even before Ethereum and it gave me a return of almost 5xtimes in 2017, our choice are similar as even I have invested in Tron which I consider as one of the most undervalued and underrated projects. I feel 2020 will be the year to lookout after recent pump and this year we need to avoid centralized coins like Ripple.

It was Ripple and ETH last time which rocked throughout the bull run last time but this time will it be the same or some other coin like TRON and XLM or else a different altcoin?
Indeed, it is not convincing that there will be an increase as in 2017. Since 2017, we have aged three more years, which means a lot. How much is it possible for the price to reach $20k in 3 weeks as in 2017? Anyway, but I believe the increase will happen, and top altcoins will gain more value from this increase. IMO ETH, BCH, LTC are far below the value they deserve.

yes guys, some time this is an opportunity to hold a lot of the best altcoin, after losing the opportunity in 2015-2016. which bullrun happened in 2017. I have several altcoins that I think will pump, such as ETH, ADA, TRX, LINK, BNB, XRP, XLM, WAVES, DOGE, and several other altcoins that have large projects. do stock and wait for mother of crypto to pump. and all will follow it.

I still prefer the old coins that give me good results the last time and these coins are Ethereum, Waves, Kucoin, Litecoin I just hope they all reached their own milestones and each one of these coins will have another all-time high of their own, although I added new coins too like Tron Eos
Investing in old coins is still profitable, but certainly not much because most of these coins go through many different stages. I think you should find new projects to invest in because there are thousands of new projects coming out but you need to consider carefully because there will certainly be a lot of scam projects and can completely cost you money.

My preferred altcoins for bull are of course those which are in my portfolio. I prefer that each and every legit altcoin will earn the success that they deserve but there is competition in the market. The market seems to be bigger than the capacity of the investors. The crypto market is nascent and growing. For now, I can say that the likes of ETH, LTC, XLM, etc are not going to be left behind and so there is safety in these choices.

If nano finally makes a comeback I will be so happy, this was the same coin that reached 34 dollars at one point and after that exchange problem they faced once they never recovered, many people lost their money to that exchange and many people never returned back to nano neither, if it could just make even a bit of increase that would be lovely.

I mean we are talking about a coin that is x35 from its ath, I have seen many coins that drop but that is one of the biggest drops of a coin that didn't go to waste. If nano was gone and not used and under 1 satoshi etc etc I would say it makes sense but it is still a coin that goes between 0.5-1 dollars so it is still not totally gone neither, which means maybe there is still a chance for it to make a comeback? At least I hope so.

The current bull run has begun, and there are thousands of altcoins at the bottom and waiting to be pumped. But I don't think all altcoins will be pumped because so many altcoins are dead and there is no volume. So it is best to choose altcoins in the top 50 in coinmarketcap. These are the best and best altcoins in this market, its price will surely increase in the near future when the price of BTC has stabilized. Currently, in my portfolio there are a few altcoins like ETH, NEO, EOS, BNB, QKC, CMT, LINK ... these are altcoins that I appreciate and are holding them to wait for profit.

I think that no one doubts that if Ethereum hardfork will take place smoothly, ETH will have the greatest potential for growth this year.
I'm just surprised that the ETH price is still not rising, but this is probably due to the fact that investors are afraid that the hardfork will be postponed once again.

well Ripple(xrp) and Litecoin(ltc) is what i think the good altcoins to have at this moment.yesterday XRP pumped 10% and up (but falls again in the morning by -2%) yet can be expected to bring profit right?
anyway all altcoins can make their own movement but whats closest to bitcoin is the best option to take.

I find it normal since encounter that dump also but if you aim for long term hold then provably you will have ignore those dumps for now and find the best percentage in future the only thing you need to do for now is to keep calm and let the time will come and wait for the Xrp aswell with litecoin to reach up another huge pump. But I will add tron,Etc,BNB and xlm.

I think I would still stick with ETH because I know its capability and its history. ETH was next to bitcoin for having the highest price that is why I am still going to take risk on it as the bull run occurs. I've also noticed that ETHs price goes together with bitcoin wherein as its value grows, ethereums value grows also. I am still willing to risk on other altcoins but I would definitely focus more on Ethereum. I am hoping for the best this year and I know altcoins will regain their prices.

The sudden surge in the price of the crypto market between Monday and now does not mean the market bull run has begun. However, if you check the situation posed by the market you'll see that the market is still in both side trends(slightly surge and dump in price). Besides, only the altcoin with adequate concept and support will make a genuine pump while some quench off the market for they are dead already like you said.

I don't agree with it as ethereum gets a small correction while bitcoin is always starting to growth on its price. Some people that is following is starting to growth at the same time too. That's better to choose the coin which can follow the bitcoin movement.
I just try to take litecoin and BCH are the best choices right now. Tachyon can be another option too.

I prefer these altcoins in the future during bull run Litecoin, Ethereum, and Binance Coins. They seem to make a reaction to the current price of Bitcoin compared to some altcoins that I do know that I believe one of the top coins yet they don't seem to make a reaction. I might have to add some in the future if i see a potential altcoins.

At the start of the new bull run, prices of most altcoins from top50-100 will rise. Unfortunately, I can't invest in all of them (at least I can't), which is why I chose two that I think are 100% certain. I think the best investment at the time of the next bull run is Ethereum and Litecoin.

What is the guarantee that the major changes will be carried out smoothly as any miss step would be a disaster and if you neglect that what is the real potential in ETH and how can you expect that the growth will be tremendous as the basic of ETH is offering tokens and the restrictions is getting tough with time and if they are not getting good projects who are willing to take them as a base platform how do you think it will survive.

When the bull run comes (if it comes at all) the best investment will be coins that have a very good idea, the dev team is active, but their price has dropped 99% since last ATH. I think that Electroneum is one such coin and I will invest about 50% of the capital in this coin.

The top ones from 1-20 are the ones that always go up when altcoin seasons happen. Its still not sure to really will start even with all these pumps of BTC, these were all traps since the past 2 years. We must not forget that cryptocurrencies are still at the stage of the experiment, so mistakes can happen. Personally, I prefer hardfork to be postponed again than it would end in a catastrophe for the entire network.
In fact Ethereum hardfork has already been postponed, but I can believe that this time it will work. If this happens, it is almost certainly that it will be Ethereum's green year on all charts.

It could take longer before they can continue the hard fork plan, 6 months to a year. They would have to give up something when improving scalability such as decentralization or security but whatever they have in mind, I hope it works. A lot of tokens depend to Ether, the fall of it will also be the fall of those tokens.

After btc hits ath, Eth will most likely start a bullrun and others follow. But right now my all my alt bags are dying so it's hard to believe that any of them recover, even though they have solid FA. But that's what people tend to think when they are scared. And i admit i am scared right now.

Why people are holding much other alts which is don't have much potential in near future, bitcoin and other top 5 coins in marketcap are more potential and will have many events in near future. Many people's prediction is also have positive points about bitcoin this year and i'm sure there will be something positive incoming this year

Because sometimes you can get that 50->100x with a low cap bet. And who says that i am holding something that don't have potential in the future?
I trust like 2 (btc and eth) from the top five marketcap coins anyway even if you remove tether. But even so, the eth has cost me most of pain with the drops.

Eth has been performing an outstanding history from last bullrun, but it was a frustrations to be called if we missed that on 2017. We must not ignore it when 2020 will give us another moment to grab the best opportunity. That's why it seems that surpassing $8k was very had, since people immediately dumped their holdings while it took some high price increase within several hours.

So far, the dominant Bitcoin has been dominant until now. Because of it, when Bitcoin is really bullish, the altcoins will be suffering and will be decreasing in value. That is not something new. When the price of Bitcoin begins to correct or stabilize, the altcoins' turn to be bullish may start and when that happens, as proven time and time again in the past until now, the top coins such as ETH and others are going to be the leading coins.

As for me, there are still potential altcoins which are good for holding like Eth and Xrp. Holding top coins would be the best preparation that we could have before the bull run comes.

Not like that, Ethereum bull will not affected other altcoin which based on erc20 tokens because it's completely different projects. Other erc20 tokens are just created because that's the cheapest token to create, even it's free. So there are so many erc20 based tokens, and the price for sure will not related in any way

More than likely, none of those tokens will ever be worth anything. I hate to break it to you, but the reason they're a token is because they're almost free to create. Ethereum itself will rise, but I don't think any of those tokens you are holding ever will. Anyone can create a token for anything and then give it away in an airdrop. There's probably millions of other people holding the same tokens as you are and just hoping they go up at some point. So if the price ever does start to rise, most of these people will dump it and cancel that out.

me too but it's over valued and the trend of ethereum is not following the bitcoin again. this time ethereum has no effect to the price of ethereum assets and it has already proven if bitcoin is the only coin that can bring massive impact. If your coins are not having proper development progress and it may not follow the bullrun. I shift to the tachyon coin to get a better chance than betting on my bounty coin.

Nano and link, no doubt that these two young coins with currently low cap can sky rocket in one moment. Maybe not this year or next one, but in few years we will see these two on the top.
For years I believe in dgb and this coin is really good, they didn't show some progress in terms of price, but they are surviving and dgb community is growing. I would not be surprised if dgb do something, its one of the true decentralised projects.

Spoke too soon? Where is the bull run now? Just a sudden price rise (due to on going political issue between two countries) and then you start screaming bull run and say 2017 is back? Like why? Why would you do such a thing that is going to harm others? Look at the price settling back to where it was now. Stop giving people false hope and please don't start creating hypes. I doubt this new little drop is not a part of the bull run, I mean it might be or not be but at the end of the day we all know that even in 2017 peak times we had drop days as well in between adn still went up, not saying we will have the same thing now, that is unlikely but just because it went down a bit doesn't mean bull run is over, that will be seen in the following days and weeks.

However, we should realize that altcoin bull run will not happen to just one coin, it will happen to all of them if it is a true "bull run", if just one or two coins goes up that is more of an individual success by those coins and not a general bull run considered thing. Hopefully we will get a huge green on all of altcoins for a long time and help out everyone who stuck with bags.

Outside the top 50, I'm betting my money on Blocknet

Leading in the DEX development, and was the first project to even release a DEX.
Decentralized Oracles through their XRouter services. Pretty bullish on this one  8)

you can buy those altcoins that are in the top 20. it is never risky at all, as we all know the capacity of those altcoins. especially ethereum and binance coin.hoping for ethereum to bounce back or reach it's ATH again

Price of the coin was more than $50 during that bullrun in 2017, I missed the opportunity. If the price will really go up that much this time around, you;d be lucky to have at least 1000 of the coin. I know you have some of it I guess we can just all bet for the tokens we own. My money is on Cardano so if the project will successfully made if this year, its also going to be a success for me.

But wait, we havent started it all. The market is still stuck in price, not going to bull run in near future
Look at crypto total exclude Bitcoin, then we will know that Bitcoin is still king and altcoin doesn't start to bull.

I think altcoins still have a good chance to raise prices if Bitcoin dominance drops to 50% so for the time being I will choose to invest in altcoin and will try to find some new projects. In my opinion, the crypto market has gone through a long period of depreciation and now is the time for all coins to rise. Of course, everything will be decided in a few months and that will be the beginning of the altcoin season.

For me, Bitcoin may be a good choice but I prefer investing in altcoins and only altcoins can make me richer in the market.

If we see the current market conditions that are getting better, it is a signal that altcoins will soon run. So, don't we missed that moment,
do the preparations as early as possible. I myself have done the preparation by collecting some altcoins that have strong potential and
fundamentals. Like ETH, LTC, XRP, BNB and XLM. If true in the near future this altcoins bull run certainly history when the 2017 bull run
will be repeated, that is the price of some top altcoins will rise to the peak price.

What cryptocurrencies that I have preferred for this coming bull run maybe I will go with Binance coin, Ripple and Ethereum. Binance coin is now also a solid coin like bitcoin and aside from that it's now worth to invest. I know most of trader are now invest in Binance coin. But, if will go with good income for the bull run we should focus in these cryptocurrencies BNB, ETH and XRP.

i prefer ethereum and bnb. Because launchpad and ieo of binance platform even work when the market is bearish. When bull comes i believe that binance is going to become more popular and price will go up.

Seems like we have started heading towards one more bull run now, as the value of most of the crypto has increased by almost $800 and those who have already missed out the bull run of 2017 will consider this as an opportunity. But which will be your favorite altcoin to invest this time? It was Ripple and ETH last time which rocked throughout the bull run last time but this time will it be the same or some other coin like TRON and XLM or else a different altcoin?

there will be a different altcoin that can increase its value when the bullish occurs, but ethereum will remain at the second highest rank after bitcoin, and some altcoins that will fill the third and top five below are likely to be occupied by unexpected altcoins that can experience an increase significant

Ieo held in binance is one of the strongest boost that makes the altcoin price of BNB experience price increases and of course this is one of the attractions for traders to make altcoin BNB as one of their investment assets, of course the growing and development of binance will certainly make the price of BNB  skyrocketing, and I think if all this time BNB is indeed the right altcoin for us to do short-term trading.
