In 2019, the price of Altcoin has dropped significantly. It is now hoped that the price of Altcoin will improve in 2020. Is that possible?

Although the market is unpredictable still we can still rely on the past data on 2017 where we can see a good changes by price and volume on all the alts and maybe we can see this scenario when halving will hit back on this year although maybe we can't feel a the same huge pump but still I have a confidence that there are some alt's will reach a another milestone for next year or in next.

there are a lot of similar questions asked about altcoin will rise or good in 2020 ,my answer maybe same this time and you will see altcoin fluctuating just that mate ,either down or up we will get when halving bitcoin and I fully believe altcoin will rise in end 2020 but it still can't outperform rise ATH in the past but hopefully my opinion is wrong and altcoin will get a new ATH this year

What kind of Altcoin do you want to improve this year? if new altcoins have run out of their funds, I guess that will make their projects die without the support of the community and others, but if those who still have funds and also investors especially large holders, maybe they will get an impact from the increase in bitcoin this year, but I do not guarantee it will go up on the altcoin market only a few that have potential and will have a good impact, this is just my thinking and the rest depends on them the founder of the altcoin project whether they are able to compete and develop this year

we see after bitcoin halving because all altcoins are greatly influenced by bitcoin whose market conditions are not yet stable and what's more hot now is that bitcoin is soaring high in iran but i don't know the clarity maybe anyone knows about this?

Possible as always but depends on what kind of alts you're holding.

If you have been bagholding totally useless altcoins and the other alts pump but yours didn't, don't blame the market because you have a bad set of altcoins. It's always a question and can easily be answered depending how you look to the market.

Bitcoin halving comes and it pumps but it doesn't mean that all, as in all alts will do.

Halving Bitcoin indeed is the benchmark for most people today, they believe that after Halving happens the price of Altcoin will reach the new ATH. I personally also think that the Altcoin season will start in this year and will reach peak in next year, 2021.

Yes its possible because we all expect that bitcoin price will goes up and altcoins will grow up to. 2019 altcoins become worse because they all drop and i bought some and keep it because i know this 2020 is the year of altcoins and I'll be positive because i know that soon bitcoin will boom.

In my view yes in 2020 altcoins can pump (not sure).If bitcoin dump then altcoins will be dump. Last two years altcoins surviving,if this years also dump then many altcoin will be dead or they will run away.Actually predict crypto is risky,this year high possibility to rise altcoins.

It looks stable at the moment and some token and coin price went up recently which is very good news for alt traders. Traders lost a lot of money in 2019 because of huge price up and down in the btc market. We hope in 2020 they will recover their losses.

2019 wasn't that bad, I always say pump and dump both are a common part of crypto, you can't pick only one, so last year there were altcoin ups and down. Ethereum price went to 330 USD, and then it came to 115 USD when I checked the last time. The new year started, Ethereum and altcoin price is growing now, Ethereum crossed 140 USD after months, so, I hope this year we may see a good pump in altcoins.

It's been a good start for all the crypto as of now as we see bitcoin is doing good so the ombre r altcoins as well but it will be bit early to comment how the entire years is going to be with just one week's analysis. 2020 will indeed prove to be a good year for altcoins because already the value of altcoins are at rock bottom and any increase in the value would be an advantage for us. Of course everything is possible here in crypto, who would have thought that Bitcoin will reach as high as $20,000 in December 2017? Or Ethereum moving to 4 digit in January-February in 2018? Keep in mind if ever the halving will pump bitcoin price, altcoin price usually falls whenever there's a rally in bitcoin price. Yes its possible especially if you're holding a worthy coins but if you're just holding a shitcoins then dont expect for it to give you profit.

I'm pretty sure that altcoin in top 30 would grow in 2020 and many other altcoins might not do so. Bitcoin halving will have big effect to crypto and might help top altcoins to grow with bitcoin grow. Dont try to guest which altcoins will grow, i think for safety we should only invest into top altcoins.

If not all,  most alt coins price depends on Bitcoin price, with the rice and fall of bitcoin price in last year the price of many alt are still yet to gain balance, in this coming year,  it the price of bitcoin rises, we hope to see improvement in many alt coins in 2020 as investors gain confidence when the price of bitcoin increases.

As of today, there are some major changes. I don't know what has happened. As you can see the price has increased and so the other Altcoins. we won't know if this will be the start of the rise of the price again. until the price of the BTC hasn't reached $8000 you need to hold your horses' guys and wait for it to increase even more. This will be only possible for a few good projects that have a working product and good use cases as well. The days of every worthless projects mooning off with hype is over so let's not dream of those days again because it is never coming back. This is the right time to invest into some good projects who have feasible and good use cases to offer this world. the question is very subjective as it depends on what altcoin are you referring to. if the alt is crap then i dont think its price will be good. but if that coin has real app and real users why not? but aside from that, the coin should have active dev team that is not greedy. and we wont know that until they disappear. so if you want to invest in a particular coin, closely follow the movement of their team and the updates. somehow you can get signals or hints what they are planning next...

You are not really specific in the altcoin you are referring to. Not all altcoins are dumping, some are gradually picking up unlike the others. While others are the opposite. While some will cease to be heard of. This is how the market should be, one day it will be red another day it could be green

I think is possible to have a better price for altcoins this year than we had in 2019, but all depends on a lot of factors, most of us waiting for a bull run which might come this year, anyway i will choose only altcoins with some history because is hard for new project to give something new.

It is. We are seeing currently an improvement for the altcoins and we can't remove the hope that's starting again to be seen.Altcoins for 2019 wasn't so great but for bitcoin, it was. I think we'll really see a different improvement this time.

Just look at the price of Bitcoin today, it is already at $8,000 with other altcoins following its movement. I think 2020 would be the start of a good year to boost the potential of 2021 bull run to start.

yes it is very possible that in 2020 altcoin also experienced an increase after bitcoin was reduced by half in May. at the beginning of this year bitcoin has increased its price has exceeded $ 8k when bitcoin went up so most altcoins also went up like litecoin, EOS, ethereum and binance also increased. so if this year bitcoin can pump high then I'm sure the price of altcoin will also increase.

Are you referring to altcoins in general? If so, considering we're in a pretty good trends, especially the movements of bitcoin is quite good which make other altcoins prices also in a good level. I think we're starting to see a good market condition, both on bitcoin and altcoins.

I'm not saying we will see bull run this year or not, no one really knows really. But I do hope the prices of altcoins in this year will be good. At least I hope it will be a lot better than 2019 was.

The reason why altcoins has dropped because bitcoin also dropped it's price. Altcoins has an effect on bitcoin's price, that is why if bitcoin will have a huge bump this year of 2020, there is a possibility that every altcoin will bump it's prices too. I also think that the only altcoins that will be good this year is BNB because a lot of people are expecting that it will also have an improvement to it's price like bitcoin.

However there are some unverified statements that the clash between America and Iran is also influencing the market uptrend, I think the principal push for the market is Bitcoin halving news. Well, I'm holding just 3 altcoins at the moment, with my major holding being Bitcoin, hoping they do well.

I think altcoins will have a good price this year of 2020 because as of now bitcoin increase its price to $8K, so top altcoins like ETH, XRP, BNB, LTC, BCH, XMR and so on will increase it's price sooner and later this year of 2020.

I do not know about the future of altcoin in this market. There are so many altcoin scams and poor quality in this market so it is difficult to pump altcoin. Investors will not dare to risk their investments in useless altcoins. In recent days, bitcoin is being pumped vigorously but I have not seen any altcoins being pumped, even the top altcoins are still standing. Very likely we will not see another altcoin season, only bitcoin is getting the attention of every investor.

Personally, I think that in 2019 the price of altcoins was practically not bad and by the end of the year the price fell very much. Altcoin will continue to grow if you have great confidence in this market and certainly this year the investment demand will increase a lot because this market is being watched by everyone. In fact, not all altcoins can rise well, but I believe that with what is happening in the first few days of this year, we can fully believe in the new era of crypto market.

As we all have noticed nowadays, mostly all altcoins are moving high. Ain't wonder how people being positive for this year coz the market already signifies something that we expect for. Though it was too early to think for the bullish market and I have a feeling that it all come true. Surely it never shows instantly that is why we should still be patient and keep prepared for everything it comes. 

Most of the altcoins are follow the Bitcoin way because all the traders are concentrate BTC investment so once it will going to moon, automatically altcoins are raise instantly. But If we think long term result of Bitcoin we never said the upcoming bull run because of end of the year anything will happen on crypto market. I hope it will move positive on further years.

Today bitcoin price back to higher price more than 7% but for altcoin keep whit lower price never have anything effect although bitcoin have higher price, maybe when bitcoin have raise above $15k give positive time for altcoin back to higher price, some time when bitcoin back whit lower price suddenly bitcoin extremely go down whit lower price.

Unfortunately, now alternative coins, as well as before, are strongly influenced by fluctuations of the main cryptocurrency, which does not give them free pricing. Given that the global hype on cryptocurrencies is long gone, we can only expect local ups of individual coins, but the downturns will be global in nature. You have to guess which coins will grow in 2020.

I hope 2020 will be a good year for altcoins. 2019 has not been a good year for altcoins. But i am hoping that this year, especially altcoin prices which have the potential will increase.

i can say everything is possible, for 10 biggest altcoin in marketcap , i think its easy to follow bitcoin rising during block halving,
for ethereum i think its can back to level $500 anf for the rest minimum rising 20-30% in this year

They are all will increase but not at the same time with the bitcoin, the bullish trend for altcoin will always occur after the bitcoin will have done with its bullish trend. We don't know about when that will be end but the bullish trend is already confirmed by some sources.

I guess it depends on which altcoins we are talking about and what they are planning for 2020 as well. I mean ethereum could potentially go up this year if they manage to do their improvements they have been talking about, however if they fail they may stay still. Eos could go up if they continue with dapp adoption and creating more and more places that EOS could be used, but could stay the same if they fail as well.

BNB, dash, even xrp all coins could either go up if they do something or could stay same or go down if they fail. This means if one coin does something good while the other one does something bad, good one will go up while bad one will go down and we can't just say "altcoins" to explain the situation if something like that happens.

Everything depends on bitcoin movement, as we all know alt coins depend on bitcoin, though most times some alts coins fail to follow the bitcoin trend, but all the same I strongly believe that 2020 will be great for great projects.

Year after year people is become more picky about investing in altcoins, I think everyone here already lost some money with bad altcoins, altcoins who died, devs exited etc

no one will know about the price of altcoin in 2020 or the following year, but if you mean the highest altcoin in a market like ETH, EOS, BNB, LTC, BCH then in my opinion maybe. they are altcoins that have great potential for long-term investment, I believe that one day, they still have a chance to reach the highest price point again.

It is possible, especially with World War 3 trending so those coins are unironically pumping up for some reasons as they are afraid that it would actually happen even though it's not yet declared(I hope it won't become true tho). With so many good news and updates from those altcoins, we will see that happen as well.

I think altcoin market will make a move in upward direction in 2020. Most of the altcoin have bottomed out this season. So, recovery is more than expected provided Bitcoin can keep its pace up. The market will go up on the whole it won't be like that Bitcoin alone can do it.

At the moment the movement of Altcoin is rather difficult to predict, sometimes there are also some coins which when Bitcoin rises following the price of Bitcoin or vice versa. The point is not like what happened in 2017 where on average traders can predict Altcoin prices before they decide to enter the market.

to be honest, I am so worried about altcoin, I am pretty sure that the price of altcoin will go up, but it seems that altcoin prices will not be as high in 2017. However, the rise in the price of bitcoin has greater potential than the altcoin. I honestly hold bitcoin and some altcoin right now. but it looks like I will change my altcoin to bitcoin.

It is already been just one week and many of the top coins has already made 10% profit in dollar terms, they are not looking great on bitcoin terms but since bitcoin went up so much thats fine, as long as they don't lose much value in bitcoin terms, they can lose a bit and still be in profit in dollar terms like whats going on right now.

I assume with what the halving going on and how some of the altcoins have important dates this year as well, at the end of the year almost all altcoins will worth slightly less in bitcoin terms or slightly more but we will have altcoins worth 50%+ more in dollar terms in 2020, that seems like a good possibility. I mean not saying that "will" happen but it looks like a good prediction that already has a start right now.

Year started out great for many altcoins, specially the top ones and it looks like it is not going to end just like that neither, it may actually have some pretty decent increases. Plus I always tell people to check the dollar price of a coin and not the bitcoin price, sometimes a coin makes a -1% fall but bitcoin goes up significantly which means if you held bitcoin you could have made more money but with that altcoin you made money as well since bitcoin went up a lot in price while altcoin didn't drop too much neither.

Hopefully, this new years start will set some stuff in motion and price will go up, I know it is difficult for altcoins to get investments as much as bitcoin but they once did it and I hope they will do it again and maybe this year will be that year.

I guess we all do hope and wish that the price of the cryptocurrencies will improve this year 2020 not just specifically with Bitcoin alone but also with the part of Altcoins as well. Well, in this crypto community where we are all currently into, everything could be possible to make happen even the impossible can surprisingly to happen. With the new year have already entered our calendars, new hope have risen most specially because there are lots of expected events to happen that could affect the prices of all cryptocurrencies which includes both Bitcoin and Altcoins. I still do hope that despite of the recent downfalls on the part of Altcoins, something good will happen to it this year 2020 for the reason that all cryptocurrencies have the capacity and capability to improve and not just to be left behind.
