Hello fellow collectors!

A few days ago dolphriends contacted me offering the possibility of making a coin out of a sketch made by the cartoonist Walter Moore:

We were thinking on a limited edition of 50 coins, made in .999 fine silver with a weight of 1 Troy oz.


Any feedback on the idea is greatly appreciated!

I believe this sketch is a baseball drawing. It s a nice design. I think if you decide to make coin out of this drawing, the coin has to  be elevated up towards the middle so that it will look baseball. It is just an idea.  :)

It’s a basketball - baseball would have stitches and different lines. Cool idea CI and Dolph!

For crypto collectors the analogy can be that BTCitcoin is like a BTCasketball as it always bounces back. Will it have a holo on the back? If it does I would expect a new holo design, preferably with numbers that are easily visible.

Yes, will have the holo, but not going to change it.   This is the first sport to arrive on the crypto coin scene from the very exciting and early on cryptoimperator.  These coins will be numbered and very limited. :) :) :)

I like CI’s holo don’t get me wrong, but I think not using a special holo for this coin would be a big miss being a design well out of the norm.  Example of something - while moving the coin left to right you could show a player dribbling and dunking..obviously utilizing the movements of a hologram. Could do a lot of cool stuff.  Just imho.

That does sound pretty cool, that is something CI would have to address.  I really don't know the costs of something like that

I wanted something new to start the decade with and hoping the forum will rally around something a little out of the norm like adding a sport.  If this does really well I will discuss with CI the possibility of a series with hockey and a few other sports.  For now we need to see the interest level for this coin and how limited this coin will be.  Certain particulars will only be able to be answered by CI.  I am hoping for a large turnout so we can make this happen 8) 8) 8)

Thanks GP.  Crypto B-Balls I hope will be something new and exciting for the collectors here. As crypto finds its way into the sports world I'm sure collectors might want to have the first crypto coin that brought basketball into focus.  I also discussed the possibility of a few gold gilt on the ball maybe just a handful that way maybe #1 through #10.  Trying to get a feel for interest right now to gauge all this.   :) :)

This idea is really starting to excite me, especially with maybe a select few being a gold gilt variation.  ;)

Regarding hologram, I am currently designing the new holo for 2020 onwards. As some have suggested making this a series of different sports, I am considering making a totally different one only for this series :D

Looks like the idea of a series for various sports suggested by anonymousminer might be a big hit, getting its own hologram and all.   8) 8) 8) 8)  Very cool.

Make a very limited coins that way it will make more attractive.

Due to recent circumstances, I am unable to continue my usual activity so everything is being delayed. Everything will return to normal hopefully in the following weeks/months. I hope you all and your families are alright :D

These coins are going to be fantastic and super cool being made by cryptoimperator.  Looking forward to the actual coins.  Will be nice having the sports line of crypto coins.

Still looking forward to this project making it's way to sports minded crypto collectors.  So the first of our four coins will be the basketball, followed by hockey, baseball and not sure on the last one, maybe curling. ::) ::) ::).

I enjoy playing golf but, will see what CI thinks of the choices

We are getting very close to releasing the first in a sports series of cryptoimperator bitcoins and basketball will be the #1 release .  There will be a total of 50 silver coins in the first release with the first 15 having the gilt basketball.  The coins will be .01 btc 1 oz. silver.

Not selling loaded coins in the USA and secondly what makes you think you can get one for 500.00.   Opinions are always welcome

Because one of CIs last coins he put out that were 1 oz silver with a mintage of 100ish where all nicely priced at around 100-130. The one with a mintage of 21, some went for around .20ish btc in 01/2019. Probably averaged 800-1k

Now during a global pandemic I think people's spending is down, but I got no idea.

So if there were 50 of these, at auction I think, would average around 500 a piece with CITM bidding.

If I were you guys I’d do a soccer (or “football” for the rest of the world) coin next. I don’t even like soccer all that much but it’s the most popular global sports game and if you’re looking for these to reach the largest audience possible, soccer is the way to go. Should consider US football too. My 2.

Hello sports fans everywhere

These hockey coins are going to be so very cool when completed.  Will Street, certainly one of the great street artists of our time, graciously has allowed his artwork to be depicted on these coins.   8) 8) 8) 8)

Hockey fans along with all sports fans we are very close to displaying the hockey coins.  I believe if you purchased the basketball coin you have first rights to that same number of the hockey coin.   

Looking forward to it. If anyone who reserved the basketball and wasn’t bothering to get the hockey coin, let me know as I’ll be glad to grab a second one for a friend.

Anyone had their basketball coin graded? What grade did you all get?

Yes, I got a MS69 from anacs  I personally like anacs but, that's just me.

When I receive the coin back I will post it with the original color drawing done by Walter Moore.   8) 8)
