Title: If you have a $2000 and had to invest in crypto which coins would you buy ? why?

For me i would rather buy more Ripple (XRP) Why? There’s a lot of confusion about this company but if you can separate the fact from fiction, the opportunity becomes clear.

2018 is the year where you’ll see an increasing emphasis on real-world use cases delivering value. In this regard, Ripple is light years ahead of competition.

Products

Let’s start with their products; xCurrent and xRapid (XRP). xCurrent is a banking software which allows banks to transfer value across borders (they may or may not use XRP) via the Ripple network. XRP is the native currency to the network.

Partnerships

Currently, Ripple has partnered with hundreds of banks with its xCurrent product. This doesn’t affect the price because these partners aren’t necessarily using XRP as well. But given XRP is native to xCurrent, it stands to reason that many of these banks will eventually adopt XRP as well.

Unfortunately, many people get stuck on Ripple’s massive success with xCurrent since it doesn’t directly drive up XRP’s price. If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that Ripple’s success with partnerships isn’t limited to xCurrent.

Opportunity

Ripple is also targeting the global remittance market with xRapid (XRP) and has secured trials with Western Union[1] and Moneygram. Western Union alone moves $80B year [2]and Ripple’s entire market cap is $19B.

Think about that.

Unfortunately, the price is currently dictated by panicky investors who sell any time someone sneezes. XRP is trading around $0.2 and it may move lower in the short term due to the market. It reminds me of the classic Warren Buffet quote, “be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy”.

Institutions are getting into the game and when they do, you’ll see the market change dramatically.

I prefer the amount, so for $ 2000 that has not reached 1 bitcoin, I prefer to buy etherum which can reach a large amount for etherum. besides, approaching the fork etherum 2.0, I also believe etherum will go up with a high price.

you said that ripple is a natice currency but according from the SEC compliance and it's security at this moment without utility usage. I will avoid to invest in this one and i will prefer to choose bitcoin as the main portfolios that must get a lot of portions from the total amounts. The second should be ethereum, and the result will be divided among the medium tier of altcoin just like chainlink, binance and many more. Just try to search the coin or tokens with utility usage.

There is no doubt that Ripple is a very good option for investment, I bought it several times and I still have a few amounts of it. In the near future, through Ripple coin and its products, there will be a mass adoption! I don't care Ripple is centralized, Ripple is doing great for the whole crypto industry. At this moment if I had 2000 USD for investment, then I would pick Ethereum, LTC, LINK, ATOM first, later I may buy XRP

First of all, it is very clear that your post is meant to promote the XRP. So here is my idea also if incase I have $2000 to spend for investment. A wise investor will not put all of it's money in just one basket meaning you need to separate your investment for atleast 3-5 coins/altcoin for this amount in order to lessen the risk of your investment.

As the market is still in bear season, the best option for me to buy is the top 4 in coinmarketcap and I will invest 500$ each of it to. 500$ for bitcoin,500$ for ethereum,500$ for xrp and lastly 500$ for tether.

If you believed in ethereum all alone, I think it's good to find an alternative asset other than that. Look for other coins which can be profitable in parallel with ethereum's journey. Bnb will also have an outstanding track record eversince, bearish market became very rampant in pulling down every market of each coins.

Keep in mind that altcoins, including XRP, are more risky investments than Bitcoin, which is already risky enough.
I know that Ripple team is trying hard to move the price up, but the money flow into altcoin scene is limited for now.
I think that for now Bitcoin would be a better option and maybe at a later point a switch to altcoin(s) would increase the gains.
But that's just speculation, please use your own calculations when you invest money for real.

Be careful with ripple they have a shady team and lots of manipulation on their end. Like what other said, I prefer to put my money on bitcoin rather than any alts right now. If you want a fast result then you'll need to stay on btc. I'm not discouraging you to invest with altcoins. Actually youre pick is not bad as its the top 3 on the marketcap and beside eth its the choice of many trader since its a mid to high cap when it comes to volume. Just watch and observed its market movement.

It is true, making decisions based on observations and research we do is something that will make us feel satisfied when the coins we get are potential coins and can give us an advantage in the end. But, sometimes we also need advice from others about the coins we will buy, because sometimes we can use these suggestions as a comparison and determine which coins have a greater chance.

Your idea of buying ripple isn't a bad one, it's a coin that yields profit but that aside one shouldn't put all his investment  in a particular  platform, you could decide to split your $2000 into 3 and get some ripples, ethereum and also hold bitcoin.

Xrp is also one of my choice, however, if I have $2k, I will split it equally to eth, xrp, bnb, and tron. It is the best investment than focusing all of your investment in just one altcoin.
BTW, are you promoting xrp? It seems like you are.

I also seem to be choosing XRP and buy it for 1000$ because I want to leave money to invest in ETH which will soon be approaching Ethereum 2.0 and BTC which will halving by the middle of this year.

there are plenty of coins i'd invest in.. most of them has strong correlation in price movements
so invest in few coins and if one pumps, just sell and re-invest in others
slowly it'll grow
some of the coins i'd invest in are Dash, ADA, XMR, ZEC, ETC..
these projects innovate and have good long reputation in the market
95% of the coins are useless so have to find the ones that here to stay

XRP still look over-rated this year and he got worse prediction have seen with top project on the CMC. I will stick bitcoin and ethereum, my decision on ethereum is base on the large community and recent development. If this 2 can give a good profit this year then altcoin can have its season along with ethereum but the risk with most altcoins is very high now.

Are you aware about the pyramiding strategy? I will do that in order to diversify my funds carefully. $2000 is enough investment for me, I will allocate the 40% in bitcoin, the 30% in Eth and the last 20% is in XRP. I want to build solid portfolio and that is why I will only but cryptocurrencies that have potential where the risks are less. I do want shitcoins in my portfolio so we should carefully choose what type of coin that we are going to buy.

That is some nice investment plan you have, investing only on top 3 crypto in the market. But you still have 10% remaining from your $2000, what do you plan on doing that?

As for me, I will go for multiple altcoins (eth, xrp, ada), bitcoin is included of course. And how I divide $2000 will depend on mmy instinct ;)

Xrp
Eos
Binance coin. Will divide the 2000$ in these 3 coins.

I am more interested in holding ETH than XRP, if I have $ 2000 I will definitely buy ETH or DOGE, why do I see both of them usually if the doge has a clear increase I will make a big profit from my capital of $ 2000, but I will divide every investment of DOGE $ 1000 and $ 1,000 for ETH is likely to take a high price when the price of bitcoin rises, I'm not a hater of XRP

It depends on many things specially your preference and your intention.
For profit, low capped and new coins can be a highly profitable but high risk opportunity. If you want low risk and good profit, bitcoin would be the best choice in current situation.
Bitcoin is nearing a halving which in the past has always caused a rise in price and we can expect similar this time.

Of course, Bitcoin will be the first choice in this market. This year investing in bitcoin will certainly get you a profit because we are about to experience halving bitcoin. $ 2000 is a relatively good amount to start with. Or if you are an altcoin lover, it is best to buy the top 10 altcoins in this market like ETH, XRP, LTC, BNB...etc

I would probably choose top altcoins, but it is still depends on the current situation of the market or what altcoin is the best at that moment like ethereum, bnb, tron, xlm, xrp.
Ripple is a good investment indeed and all of your information saying that Ripple has a good future! But if I had 2000 USD at this moment, I won't buy Ripple, same to ADA! Which is a good coin but I won't that, rather my target is Ethereum, XLM, NPXS, ICX coins for investment.
Seeing your chosen altcoins, even if you don't consider buying xrp, you still have a good portfolio.

That depends on the market trend. This year btc is a more promising coin than any other coin in the market because of the hype and positive feedback from the investors for the reward halving happening on may 2020. This trend has been proved that btc will rise to the moon from the past 2 halving happened before. Invest it in btc this year and hold it until it reaches new all time high.

That's right, and in the past two days it's been very apparent that the price of bitcoin has begun to rise, so it doesn't hurt for those who have capital of $ 2,000 to invest in bitcoin, but in altcoin should also be left a little.

I will trade with ETH if have $2000 because look profitable and every day you got ETH change about 3% until 5% depend with bitcoin price, I think you not have worry when investing with ETH and you can choose investing with bitcoin. Better looking for trading assets where you can earn profit in daily day without holding for long time and get with potential coin for trading.

BTC could be good choice, due to halving this year, but i would prefer BAT token, not sure for this year, but i do think that it is a token that is solving advertising issue on web, and number of downloads/active users is raising on Brave browser, so value should rise in the future, maybe the better horizon for BAT is next decade, compared to next year or two, but it has to grow, backed by fundamentals

XRP is a top leading altcoin because of huge volume in marketcap. But Recent years it is not developing well in crypto market, majority of the investors are continuously participate the Bitcoin and Ethereum because of admin of the market. XRP is a banking support platform so strictly avoid the Bitcoin supporters. So I suggest Bitcoin or Binance because of active member in crypto market.

Your investment plan is really nice detailed there but do you follow it ? I mean if you follow that plan you either have a lot of money to invest or you choose to diversify a lot in order to increase your chances to good profits in returns.

However, I would always go with Bitcoin at 70% of my initial investing and the other 30% I would put it in top 3 altcoins based on my own researches.

Yeah, as of now bitcoin still stays as the most promising coin there is on the market. It had already established its name on the cryptocurrency world which pretty much means that a lot of people investing or just mining will choose bitcoin without a second thought if they were to be given a chance. Anyway, if you're confident with choosing ripple then go for it. It's your money after all.

I never really liked Ripple because it is Centralized in my opinion, when they distributed Ripple for example, The majority of coins where distributed in a closed circle around the founders..
And they have benefited or are benefiting massively from every increase in value.
They are also responsible for the rest of the distribution, So the creation is to Central for me.
It's the most unequal distributed crypto currency of all time, While crypto should be for everyone in my opinion.

Now what Crypto I would invest in:
Ethereum

Theta: Because I like streaming gaming en crypto and Theta brings this all togheter.

Bat: They have their own Browser where you can earn crypto in, they also have a build in ad blocker and the browser is actually good.

Eos: Fast transactions with no costs.

But you definitely should do your own research as well!

I have seen thousands of topics like this. People always ask which altcoins to invest in this market with a certain amount of capital. So it is best to buy bitcoins in this market because all altcoins can become scams and die at any time. Investing in Bitcoin will be the safest for you and will definitely help you to profit in the future

Though XRP is a good coin to invest and hold for long term, the only coin I would buy right now will be Bitcoin. Because, with large volatility going on, it will be too risky to invest in any altcoin at this moment. Even ethereum is a good choice as there are many development updates coming soon.

I will buy Doge instead. XRP can moon like no other token but times are different now, I would buy into a token with less sentiment and has large community support. I will add Bat to my bag as well not that I hate on XRP but XRP itself is quiet controversial.

If I do have $2000 that is allotted for investment only, then I will choose Bitcoin and Ethereum only for now, I will secure it to stable coin first, once I do have profit already I will sell it and wait for the perfect moment again to buy and then I will little by little buy some altcoins that I know and I've researched to be profitable and worth it.

I don't know for sure how many assets you have but for 50% into USDT it is good because USDT is one of the stable coins whose prices are very well maintained, for scalping trading is also good but I recommend daily trading for investment security

Personally, I think at the moment for investing the best option is considered Ethereum and Bitcoin. Since these coins are always very promising. And you can also invest for long periods. And even if there will be more than $ 2,000, then all available funds will be invested in crypto coins. I believe that the crypto industry is a new way to great opportunities and to the development of innovative technologies.

Anything smaller than $30k I think we can go pretty aggressive with about half of it in BTC and the rest in 2 or 3 more risky options.
50% BTC - obvious reasons, it's the biggest and most 'safe' of all
20% ETH - still big and very meaningful. most of dApps will be born on ETH network due to it's popularity and it's very experimential field that should grow for some more time.
20% BNB - my personal favorite. It is useful at the biggest exchange which is more of an actual case need for it than BTC presents.
10% something seasonal with the intention to get out quickly

Bitcoin and Ethereum are the two coins I would invest heavily in right now. Ethereum has the new update coming and that should in theory push the price up a bit and Bitcoin had a really good year last year. The price should start moving up once the news starts publishing last years returns and people get excited about it again and invest. I think that's what's going to kick this bull run into full action more than anything.

I will share it for LTC and ETH. Litecoin has halved and it makes the inventory reduced and of course just waiting for another update and the pump will occur. ethereum is currently bad but this is a good opportunity for us to have more. the market has shown improvement and of course, I don't want to be left behind by a train that is already ready to depart.

I will definitely never invest in alts again. I feel that the alts do not have the potential to grow as well as bitcoin. Their community is smaller than bitcoin and its effects on WW3 are also very low. so I just chose bitcoin and hold for a period of about 6 months until Halving. Even though $ 2,000 still can't buy half of bitcoin, I still want to hold it, because it will give me certain profits and I also believe that this halving event will make its price rise the most.

XRP may be a good choice in the short run given the fact that there is significant institutional use for it already, and the fact that it has a large market cap which means that the downside risks are relatively little compared to what you'd see with other coins.

However, honestly, it's not the best long term bet.

The best long term bet imo is still ETH, because it is more decentralized than XRP and has a lot of ICOs hosted on it.

XRP and ETH are still good for either a long-term or short-term investment. But believe me or not we can't expect XRP could give more profits as what we want to happen to know the fact that it is been controlled by somebody.

Cause for me, I'll keep more on Bitcoin rather than to choose any altcoins. I know it was a risk putting all eggs in one basket but I feel confident and safe with Bitcoin.

I agree that invest all to Ripple is a good choice, but i would not do that after review the Ripple chart. Ripple need lots of months before grow strong in just 5-10 days and its will make holders become tired. If i do have 2000$, i would prefer invest into bitcoin because bitcoin is the main trend for all others coin. I'm surely that bitcoin is the leader when crypto market in uptrend and good profit is guarantee when invest in bitcoin for longterm.

it is caused by many altcoin, even big coin, is going to down. no matter good coin is
that's what I do with my money, I also invest a lot in Bitcoin.

look at Bitcoin dominance, it shows us that Bitcoin is still king, where thousand coin and token cant beat the single coin.

First of all considering the market situation at the moment, 2k usd is really nice amonth for investing.
I would prefer to stay a little bit in safe side in the beginning. I would devide it to 3 and choose ethereum, bnb and bitcoin for the beginning. and if the market starts to recover i would risk more investing in some more surprise altcoins.

I will choose bitcoin as well, given the fact that its less risky compared to alts and the coming halving might trigger the price to soar high so its wise to choose btc for now or invest the large portion of $2k in this coin.

For altcoins eth and bnb are my choice, these two coins has potential and well-established.

If I had 2k, of course without thinking I would definitely buy bitcoin. and the second option is definitely buying xrp because I'm a fan of xrp, I don't care even though many people say that xrp prices tend to be stable only a small profit is obtained. but it also doesn't hurt to choose another altcoin if there which is more potential to get profit.

2k for bitcoin then you will get a small profit if you only wait in the short term. I suggest you focus more on your XRP. it would be better with the 2k capital you have than to share it with bitcoin.

It is still confusing why people love XRP so much, I understand that there is a appeal to it with being both a low number in price plus being so high in marketcap etc etc but that doesn't mean it is a good coin like you imagine it is. Just to give an example, Ripple prints out millions of XRP every single year (including 2019) and just sells it on market price which both drops the price of XRP because there is a big dump on the market, also drops the price overall because there is more coins in the circulation out of nowhere.

I would definitely invest into ETH because they are working hard on moving to staking and if they are successful the price will go up, plus I would think about a masternode coin as well, like PIVX or something similar so I can have a steady income too.

I am a project owner of token called ORB. I am built to promote ORB :) ( I promise I am not a bot), but not by belittelling any other.

So why should you buy ORB? Many compelling reasons I can tell, but it would be too lengthy, so I'll try to keep it as short as possible.

It should go without saying that a credible project should have a reliable team behind it.

The people behind the project is critical in ascertaining if the token has any chance of gaining widespread adoption. Check out the owners.
Token allocation post IEO (we are starting IEO on 20.01.2020 with LATOKEN)

-Community...how invested are owners to reach out to their community!

-Real World Utility..
Explore if the project is bringing any real-world value into the market? Is the project’s platform entirely dependant on the token? If yes, then as experts say, it is a project that is worth investing in.

ORB’s utility is fuelling a decentralised app called MONET. MONET will address a huge market gap affecting millions… that wasn’t possible before blockchain technology.

If I would be having a chance to have $2,000 and go invest it into cryptocurrency, I would surely go and invest most of it into Bitcoin of course because as we all see at this very moment of time of the year, Bitcoin is showing a positive movement of rising up its price which is going green this recent days which is a good indication of a good start of the year 2020 for Bitcoin. Aside from Bitcoin, I will go and invest the remaining part into the side of Altcoins which I prefer to part it into Ethereum (ETH) of course, Litecoin (LTC) as well as with the Ripple (XRP) in which those coins are also showing a positive movement for the early stage of this year. Surely, those Altcoins will go further and I do hope that the positivity will continue all throughout this year making it beneficial for the all of us. We just need to stay calm and hope for the best things to happen within the whole crypto community for the year 2020 that all of our holdings and patience from the recent years will be paid off and be worthy.

Can't blame the investors if that's how they react with XRP. Btw, you have an interesting thought about this coin but if I have a spare of $2,000 I'll spend it more with bitcoin.

Maybe around $1500 for bitcoin and the next would be with different altcoins. I can't decide for now what alts that would be since I'm also starting to get weak with Ethereum but it's not yet removed from my choice.

I would invest in Bitcoin. Why? Because i see it as the least risky coin to invest in.

Bitcoin is still the biggest cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin should be the main choice but remember that is not so volatile as another coin and that's why people must try to divide their money and they must also invest to the altcoin. At least promising altcoin will give same guarantee with what already given by bitcoin too. It's not a big risk by investing your money in the top altcoins. Everyone understand properly about that how major altcoins are giving guarantee.
Bitcoin may be the biggest one but altcoin may give you more profit than bitcoin. Look at some coins like DASH, BCH and many more. they are getting very huge increase at this moment.

Yes, ripple boosted their sales by launching Xrapid and Xcurrent which were actually centralized but backed with the decentralized coin XRP. XRP would surely have higher profits given to their hodlers but at the current market situation, XRP is on the down surge which does not keep the investors profitable. Investors need to invest in coins which could give them stable profits and hence majority of the investors choose to divide their capital in few coins rather than investing in a single coin.

Profits from investing in many coins will give stable profits as the profits from these coins would come one after the other where in case if you only invest in XRP than the if the price for XRP declines, you have to wait for the price to pump back again to land up in profits.

Investing entire $2000 in a single coin can give you profits but you have to earn a lot of patience in order to gain some profits from this coin. Also considering XRP, XRP has dropped a lot from the price of $0.3 to $0.21 which has left a number of investors with loss. Also in order to cover this loss the investors need to wait for a long time which will indeed stop their profits from their market and even after investing $2000 if your investment source stops than you need to find any other source to gain some investments. So in this situation you should always try to invest atleast 40% in bitcoins and remaining amount in other altcoins which might be good for the future. Try not to invest in single coin.

Capital of $ 2000 is quite large in my opinion, we can buy a few coins. I will invest 50% in bitcoin, because as we know bitcoin
is the most powerful and dominant coins. Then 20% I invest in ethereum which this year there will be a big event namely
ethereum 2.0. Next 20% I will invest in a Binance coin created by the owner of binance exchanges who have a very strong team of
developers. And I will invest the remaining 10% in ripple where the advantages have been explained as in the opening post.

Invest 80%-90% of your money into Bitcoin, the only and original real decentralized and popular crypto. Don't mess with altcoins, not worth it, and make sure you don't fall for the fake bitcoin scam called Bitcoin-Cash and it's fork Bitcoin SV, it is a centralized scam-coin that pretends to be the real bitcoin, it's leader is Roger Ver that was Bitcoin early adopter, but then created it's own coin, he owns many sites, brands that scam people by presenting Bitcoin cash as the real Bitcoin. Hence All you need to know is that there is Bitcoin, and there are shitcoins, except Eth, Verge, Nano, Vechain and monero, so it's best to do your own research.

Definitely I willuse all that money to invest in bitcoin and wait for halving. We are heading to the 4-year event each time and 2 times before that bitcoin has risen more than 100%. and I hope that this year everything will be the same. The current bitcoin price is $ 8100 and if everything goes as I expected then the price will definitely increase to at least $ 10000-12000 when the halving begins.

Of course, it’s good if a person has $ 2,000 for investments in cryptocurrency, but the most important thing is that these funds are not the last in his home budget.  But if we talk about profitable investments, who do not have a certain experience, it is better not to invest in new projects, and for a greater guarantee, pay attention to the most rated cryptocurrencies, which many forum users have already fired about.  As always, for me the leader is ethereum, as well as Tron, and ripple.  It would be possible to invest a certain amount in bitcoin, but I believe that for such investments you need to have a slightly larger starting capital.
