Will 2020 be the year Ethereum asserts it's dominance in the Altcoin space or are one of the contenders poised to take the Altcoin crown?

I think Ethereum will still be the king of altcoin and maybe this year Ethereum will dominate again after the launch of Ethereum 2.0, I still believe Ethereum will still benefit its holders so that what they hold so far has not been in vain.
We see what happens with bitcoin, then ethereum will also follow in its footsteps.
There are some good altcoins but the most important one in my opinion is Ethereum.

It will not as the top performed for this year is bitcoin fork coins. You can try to take some sources to get the best comparison about that. Look at BCH and it was always getting a huge increase when the price of bitcoin is starting to grow.
Ethereum is still under the best performance of the bitcoin fork coins. There is no a huge increase to the price of ethereum. Im not even seeing if that was getting more than 10% increase just in a day.

There's no assurance for what coins will take the crown this year, FUD still gather more influence to lots of cryptocurrency followers. It was too hard to predict a certain coin to aim at certain performance. Ethereum community has the highest potential growth, since most of coins under its contract was still on the recovery process.

At the moment Ethereum is still the leader and hopefully it continues till the end of this year. I remember last year it was dethroned by XRP for few months and I expect the same to happen this year too. XRP being a centralized coin is gaining momentum very fast.

Binance coin is another altcoin that can give serious competition to Ethereum in the future.

I recommend to invest in ethereum this year 2020.. because I believe this altcoin is the top performing altcoins so it is good to hold, you will not losing money if you hold ethereum.

for now I think ethereum is still in the position above because the POS ethereum news has been smelled by many people and as my rival I am BNB as a new altcoin but its development is very rapid in the eyes of cryptocurrency

Staking a minimum of 32 ETH sholu yeild a nice passive income and at todays prices it is hard to pass up on the opportunity to buy cheap. I think this will lift the price if ETH, a prime example is DASH.

It is still Ethereum dominating that he said wanted to renew Ethereum 2.0 but I am interested in Energi coins that can give good news in the previous year that made people so the determination to his Masternode project.

my prediction etherum will continue to dominate altcoin this year and for years to come. etherum market cap is far from the others, besides that the volume and liquidity of etherum is also more potential. coupled with the fork that will be carried out etherum, I think it will also greatly influence the dominance of etherum.

Now it is not clear who will be the best because in the crypto world everything can change exactly the opposite. But I look forward to ethereum 2.0 and really hope that this will serve as a good impetus for growth.

ETH will have a lot of updates this year, they are performing well and are developing about ETH 2.0 this year, even though they are currently testing it, I'm not sure something takes the crown from ETH to be the top 2 coin marketcap, even if someone has to replace ETH it's impossible BCH or BSV at least xrp become quite a strong competitor for ETH there

Now ETH remains the leader among all altcoins, but there is a very high probability that when the cryptocurrency market starts to become bullish and many altcoins start to grow in price and show what they have achieved over the past two years, then the leader can very easily change, but now it’s not known which of the altcoins can take place of ETH

ETH is facing a lot of problems, delays and inhouse fighting, i used to think Ethereum would do well, not any more.

Tezos has a lot of support and trust in the crypto community, i see that doing very well.
Currently   0.00016327   $1.31 MY prediction would be easy x10 from here $13 to $30 within 12 months.

Along with many staking coins, i think Staking combined with privacy alts are going to have a good year.

A little, well established coin from 2014, thats never stopped working and self funded, no ico and no premine is $IOC (bittrex) it touched over 100k at the height of the last Bull run and currently only 670 sats.   That scream bargain to me.  Big on privacy, storing date on blockchain, unique OOAK wallet.

and i personally like $ADA  only 455 sats. 

These low value alts (under 1k) are easy to pump and do x10.    This is where the easiest gains are made.  (except for XRP  :D )

Probably the one that will increase in terms of marketcap and technological advancement this year is no other than ethereum. The team already confirm that eth 2.0 will be seen in action on 2020 and that will be a key to a more development of the project. As you can see more projects are likely to die if the bearish sentiment continue and only major one such as eth can survive with this stance considering many factor. Just buy eth for now while still cheap.

I voted for EOS, Just because I think people will start seeing the value of Cheap (almost free) and fast transactions especially if you want to withdraw Crypto from your exchange to your wallet.
And u have to pay a big fee, where The fee for EOS is so low because the transaction is almost free.

Another one that should be doing good is Waves because they have their own build in exchange in the wallet, which is very easy to use, and they existed for a long time as well now.
You can easily trade Waves for other cryptocurrency's in the exchange, and they also have a few major things planned for 2020.

I see a lot of people voted for Ethereum, I think it's one of the better alt's as well but in 2017 when a lot of users started to use crypto the transaction costs and time greatly increased as well and I think that wasn't a good thing for Ethereum, however the team is always improving Eth, do you guys think ethereum will go to like 10000-20000$ range or what would be a decent price for ethereum 2020-2022?

In your list, I see ETH is the best altcoin and all the other altcoins cannot compare to ETH, which is too different. So in 2020 I believe that ETH will be the altcoin with the highest chance of pumping with upcoming events like ETH 2.0. The price of ETH is currently stable at $ 143 and if ETH can surpass $ 150 then surely we will see ETH reach the price of $ 200 very soon.

I think we will got some nice swaps at top10 I think ETH loose his 2nd position maybe it could even stop at place 4-5... Tether in bull market will drop lower maybe till top15 ?

Ethereum will prepare everything to see how Ethereum will be in action this year, is it possible that after the bullish coming Ethereum will improve better than the year before.
Ethereum 2.0 is certainly a lot of awaited fans because they want to know after the release of what will happen maybe Eth will be more stable above $ 500? let's see in a timely manner.

it is hard for other projects to overpower eth because it is the second biggest project after bitcoin. it has advanced technology and in the near future, they are going to implement pos that might increase the demand of the coin. even though xrp keeps tailing eth for some time, it is still far from reaching eth. I am sure 2020 eth still stands as the top performers for the altcoin. if you are looking for a potential project but it is not a top 10 cryptocurrency, then you should see theta. they have limitless potential.

So far altcoins like ETH, BCH and BSV are doing fine in terms of price movement, although its too early to start expecting something huge from altcoins now, my best bet is still bitcoin and will remain bitcoin for a while, maybe when bitcoin hits a new price surge then altcoins will join

At the moment, I personally think that the most promising investment option is the Ethereum coin. Since according to all forecasts in 2020, Ethereum will become the most popular and sought-after coin. I believe that Ethereum will become the most popular means of payment in banking operations.

I also feel that way, ETH will work optimally this year and try to get up after experiencing ups and downs in all the risks that it tries to develop, I hope ETH doesn't lose its position, and it seems that the results are starting to show, although we will be very difficult to predict because 2020 is still enough long, and I'm sure ETH will not let its position be displaced from other coins.

I am sorry I partly agree with you on this subject. The only coin that is king all the time is bitcoin. So bitcoin is top performing coin all the time. Other coins that have been doing well in the market are Ethereum and BNB. I believe these three coins, BTC, ETH and BNB, have very good future and will remain top performing coins in the days to come.

In past years ethereum's ranking is on top and there is no altcoins that capable to surpass it even the price and its dominance. are you guys think that there is one altcoin that will remove ethereum to top? I don't think that there is one in 2020 but for sure soon like bitcoin, ethereum will replace for sure. for now ethereum will be number one and no one will break it.

I think that all the well-known projects that we are talking about now will not be able to beat ETH, but I also think that this year new projects may appear that will be better and when people start actively buying cryptocurrencies - such a project can take the place of ETH and can become the altcoin leader

I agree that the great catalyst for Ethereum will be if they finally deliver on the promise of switching to PoS. If they can deliver they will likely outperform all the other major platforms.

Certainly ETH will still dominate the altcoin market in 2020, without any altcoins that can compete with this position of ETH. There is an opponent of ETH in 2019 that is XRP, in 2019 XRP has surpassed ETH and ranked second in a few weeks. But ETH has quickly regained its place, 2020 will be a bad year for XRP so there will not be any altcoins that will make ETH fall again.

For me personally ethereum will remain in the top position of all altcoins this year, maybe I can happen something that is not in accordance with what we expect later and we do not know what will happen later but for me ethereum will remain the king of all altcoin in a long period of time and ethereum will remain a coin of interest to investors.

I would always choose Ethereum because I believe in its capability. More than any other coins, it has been through a lot and has passed all the tests of time. It has shown its consistency so I'm sure that it could go more thisbyear despite the market situation. I have been holding Ethereum for such a long time and I'm not losing my hope for it.

Ethereum will have a big chance to be the top-performing altcoin in 2020, but the other will have the same things as ethereum. I think this year will be a hard competition for each coin because each coin needs to prove that they can be the top altcoin in this year. But it still difficult to know which coin can be the top of the altcoin because we need to wait for more. Besides that, if bitcoin is not increasing and break the highest price, the altcoin will not rise and only stay at a price now. But bitcoin will still be the best coins at the crypto.

In these options, Ethereum will do better because if Bitcoin bull run starts then Ethereum won't just stick at low, it will be growing like the previous bull run! After Ethereum, I am very optimistic about NRG coin, such a gem it is! I have a big hope on this Energi coin, their staking rewards are highest among all coins! I think XRP is not good your choose for investing in short or long term although Ripple in the top ten coin because price always down and never increase with higher, more than two year ago ripple have lower price until new year what happen with Ripple keep cooling down and never growing back to higher price, they look fun with lower price right now.

We can't deny the fact that Ethereum is indeed always at the back of Bitcoin due to the reason that it has the one of the largest volume in crypto market. However, we cannot predict the crypto market we might saw another alts that can compete with these top ranked coins. There's a lot of altcoins striving to become way more better to Bitcoin such as XRP, BNB, and more but as of now I think ETH place above of hundred altcoins.

I think, until now ethereum is still an altcoin which is expected to really be very high. however, many hope for ethereum because they see developments in 2017-2018. it's just that, in 2019, the best altcoin is held by BNB. this year, ethereum has a great chance to be the best again, so I think ethereum will really reach its highest price above other altcoins.

You look still trusted with ethereum although price now have lower price, I know many people still big hope with ethereum can back with higher price and raise up above $1,5k where many investor have buy eth with higher price, just need moment when eth can back with higher price and need support from bitcoin firstly could growing up with higher price too.

Everyone is a holder of it and ETH has a great potential to go at a higher price. But I want to pick the NEO from the list. NEO is a sleeping giant now, anytime it can boom! Most people are voting ETH because this coin is already sleeping for 2 years. I'm sure after the ETH 2.0 and moving to POS (hope the evolution of ETH will successful) the price would be increase high due to high demand of this coin. But the market must be not having a big movement before BTC price pump, so we will have to wait BTC price to pump first before we see altcoins increasing

According to reliable sources, Ethereum 2.0 cannot be launched this year. The development team seems to be having some trouble and can't finalize Ethereum 2.0.

The year is too young to predict and know which particular altcoins will be top performing in 2020. But personally, I don't really see any altcoin which  has a good potential to perform extremely well.  I don't really see Ethereum going beyond $200 in this month.  The Altcoin market is kinda slow in terms of its change in market value.

The year has just started but obviously ETH had the most support from the altcoin supporters. We have been expecting a lot to ETH since they announced to move to POS but the delay had got some thinking of what could happen. My support to the project will probably make its worth if the price also prove. I'm seeing EOS to be moving faster as well to platform battle.

Have been trying not to choose side with btc/eth tussle. however, i wont ever put bitcoin over ethereum. Ethereum is great project and a lot of distraction is on the media to engage every financial resource in the space to bitcoin whereas when the money comes to ethereum the same people want to get the best of it. Ethereum is planning to put everything together to make the ethereum 2. a success this year, It is important that the coin is relevant while the market drive and that coin is so important for altcoins. I think not. Ethereum had a bad year this 2019. If you haven't heard there was a FUD. I don't really know if there is a basis on this but there was an issue regarding the CEO of ETH sold around 90k ETH and that was before year-end. I just don't really know why Ethereum didn't performed really well. I guess that this was the only year since my joining in cryptocurrency, ETH does dig deep. Still it at least topped all altcoins. That's what matters.

Because they(NRG team) have many plans in 2020. At the beginning of the year, Nrg has listed on Mercatox, Bithumb and Citex exchanges. Especially Energi Gen 3 smart contract will launch by the end of February 2020. I am very optimistic about NRG coin. And i am pretty sure they will do something.

Are seeing all vote is going for Ethereum. Because we the reason altcoins season and Ethereum 2.0. Still Ethereum hasn't maximum supply but by POS Ethereum can stop this price dump. You know all token are on Ethereum blockchain. For Ethereum supply, some coin are down 100 percent. Energi is also good but as a altcoins.

I think Ethereum is going to dominate the altcoin market in 2020. Some other quality coins will also do well but for a hodler like me i always like solid coins like eth, some other that will show good moves in my opinion are: eos, tron, neo, ada etc.

Investing in ethereum is not a bad idea. I think the top performing altcoins will goes to ethereum. We will see the impact after the ethereum 2.0 release. But the others cryptos have  a good potential too if they have a sudden good breakthrough.

Be patient and wait because Ethereum 2.0 is still a mystery, but hopefully the value of this coin will probably improve soon because of the high investment demand. This year everything will be decided and ETH will depend a lot in the year. Of course I am not a fan of this coin because when the ICO dead, people are no longer interested in the development of ETH.

However, this investment is still very good and you can rest assured because one day ETH can reach $400 if the value of Bitcoin can increase in price.

Ethereum is on #2 coinmarketcap which has $ 15B marketcap, the #3 coinmarketcap is XRP which has $ 9B

Chainlink is good to pick for me, because this coin did very well in 2019, and in this year LINK coin price can get double from the current price! But I am very disappointed on Cardano, such an unprofitable coin it is! No one knows which coin gonna rock the board and I think every good altcoin have the chance in 2020!

I think that the best alts in 2020 will be only top alts, I always believed that the most promising and best alts are at the top of the market.

How can there be no BNB on this list? it is a clear favorite for taking more of crypto space. No matter what you guys trade on binance you are long on BNB, or should be at least. How can this not profit? Literally every customer of theirs is another bull in the pool. Company that grows that quick and is able to innovate is basically destined for a success, even if not generations-long, a few years growth is on the radar for sure. People don't even spend BTC but they do with BNB. It is a feat that nobody really has achieved in the industry before that.

ETH is still intact on top 2 position and I don’t see any altcoins to replace that place. There will be a lot of altcoins that will go up this year because its a recovery year and we can’t say yet since we are still on a third week of January, let’s wait for more weeks and months and hope for an altcoin season this year.

It's not always top altcoin, we can try to take a look at another good altcoin from the low or middle tier just like tachyon, xmr, and many more. As long as it was still having good progress and it can be considered as a good altcoin. Remember not all of the coins that created products are getting exposed right now.

I would desire to witness a raise from the dead coins, but it's not possible by now while we're not yet into 100% market recovery. There's should be an overwhelming market pump, same with the previous bullrun. Sometimes we find it so disappointing, but due to no choice we still prefer holding our asset even if took so long. Whatever coins that go on top, I must take a monitoring on them before regular pumps will be initiated.

If there's a good progress and the team is really working behind with noticeable effects then it can consider as good investment. Though many projects are still performing and working behind the scene it's investors decision making on how they pick working project to invest and store inside their wallets. Picking your investment relied with how you work with researching and studying the entire process it gives you the edge to select the right one for you.

Basically it is true, because the top Altcoin is the most popular Altcoin, and the top Altcoin at the moment is Ethereum, but we don't know whether until the end of the year ethereum will remain the top Altcoin or be replaced with another coin.

Altcoins are coins that make you profitable so new coins will certainly be more investors choice. In fact, investing in top altcoins is not very profitable for investors, so many people with little money will surely find another way to make a profit in this market. I value Ethereum more. The Bitcoin market is heavily involved with it.I think all Alt coins reduce the gain with this.As the price of Bitcoin goes down, it goes up and down, so it has been in the form of the 2nd Altar coin for a long time.

In terms of holding there are performing well, but in terms of short trading and if we are updated in some altcoins that upgrading their project, they can also be consider but not as long trading. I try it sometimes and it works fine in different altcoins. Holding will be better for top altcoins for me ETH, XRP, EOS and Stellar.

I might expect a rally in altcoin this year but not as I want, I understand the impact of bitcoin rally in the space, I also expect the development of ethereum this year to put impact on altcoins price. This rally can be very effective when the new ATH is achieve but how can we sustain bitcoin price above $20k this year? It is likely to reverse as usual. Altcoin at the moment is easy to pump, Most altcoins will get back to their ICO price and higher at less than $2-5million pump fund, so altcoin is not the problem in this space but the top 10 coins

Ethereum has long been the second most popular coin in all cryptocurrency. I think Ethereum will continue to evolve according to what is already in the road map, so the best coin this year I chose ETH as a holder and also I would love to see Ethereum prices like they used to be and that can happen in 2020.

for market charts, it looks like this year's ETH is not so good. even though the developer is running an update that will be done for ethereum but that hasn't been able to make the ethereum market increase. even for the past year, I can say that BNB is better than ethereum than their market movements. for this year it's still very early. and there will still be many surprises that we will see.

in my opinion not eth, the top performance in 2020 in my opinion is xrp or link because xrp has a good FA analysis to make investors interested in xrp investment in 2020 and, if LINK because in 2019 was once the top performance and in my opinion in 2020 LINK will be the top performance again

i can understand one will always bet for ETH for many reasons. its the top coin and if ETH rise up, the ERC tokens will also gain. if you own millions of ERC tokens, you would vote for ETH. but its too early to say its going to be the top performer altcoin.


it depends the how much growth before the year end but i'm also a  LINK follower i tink the project can potentially out rank the top 10 later on.

XRP is dropping for months, and we can't see anything but the drop from them, I don't know what analyses you refer too but I think that xrp  will go deeper. About link I can agree with you, it's going good for them and I think this year can be a link year if they continue with this peace and if the price continues to grow like in past few months.

past charts won't give us anything in the future. now all coins have the same chance to be the best with their renewal. when they succeed in increasing their market demand they will be more popular than others. but those who just keep quiet and wait for the market to improve will sink.

There are so many needed and top alts in crypto in 2020, I think in certain periods we will see the best alts in 2020.

I hope you are not counting your eggs before they lay, this year could decide the future of Ethereum, if they fail to deliver any meaningful development this year especially in the area of scaling, do not be surprise to see another Altcoin take over from Ethereum, it is all about marketing  and branding if done right well come to a new party

Everyone suggest ethereum but I think there is a big chance EOS has a good year as well, there has been a lot of discussions about how ethereum may not end up doing the hard fork or even if it would make that much change. Remember the Istanbul hard fork is not the thing that will change it to second market cap to over bitcoin all of a sudden, it is a good change but that is about it.

EOS doesn't have anything major neither and I doubt it will have anything important this year but EOS has been getting more and more attention due to dapps and people buy more EOS and spend it rather than just buy it and sell it, so that is a good reason for a possibility of EOS to go up in price this year. I may be wrong about this but the "possibility" is certainly there for sure.

mid of 2019 ethereum shows a good performance and i thought it will succeed until the year end but unfortunately it didn't ..  But who knows on this year because you know eth is getting aggressive in my opinion.  Wherien probably by mid of 2020 it will make a new record.  .

People are expecting something positive will happen with the ETH price, this year we might see a huge development release from the Ethereum and this will definitely help the ETH coin to increase its price very quickly. By the Mid of this year, we might really see the price of ETH will surely increase its price.

What kind of huge development can we expect from the etherum network? As already we have been enjoying immense benefits from the etherum network which does include in creating smart contracts and deploying our own token on the ERC20 network.

This is one of the most benefit for me which is offered by the Etherum network and it is the reason perhaps why Etherum is gaining such huge importance and also the price might hike up to a greater extend in the coming future as the use case of etherum would never be on an distinct end. The use of ERC20 token is always on an ascending graph which continues the use of the ETh which would derive the price onto peak someday.

Among the list, I only choose Ethereum and partly EOS. It is all about having the confidence in Ethereum that could take a lead among altcoins for this upcoming halving. It is to know that EOS is now performing great as well but as what I've seen in the market trend nowadays, not enough to surpass other potential altcoins. There is always a risk around and much better if we do the best as we can do to prevent suffering losses in the end...

Looks like eth and tron which will have good performance this year. I don't know why but I'm very sure, or it could be that all the coins mentioned above will give good performance if supported by a market that continues to be good as it is today. (possibly, now it has entered a bearish condition)

Actually if the bull runs arrive than we can expect profits from most of the altcoins and not only etherum. Etherum is on the second position amongst all of the other altcoins and perhaps it might derive attention from a lot of investors but even some smaller price altcoins like ripple, dash, etc might give us extreme profits if we hold those in the bullish trends.

Ethereum is surely going to show us a immense growth so no doubt in that but even diversifying our investments into some more major coins might give us more major profits. I think, each coin from the top 50 position on the CMC market would perform well in this financial year 2020.

I think a poll might not do the justice for this question. We are already seeing many top alts on the coinmarketcap are trying to hold their ground and get more and more volumes day by day. Especially the top 50 coins have increased at least 5 -25% in 2 days now. Btc needs to be stabilized in order to cement this growth.

I don't really know what will be the top coins in 2020 but if you were here in this market for a long time then you guys probably have the experience to really know which coins is making a boost last year. ETH is the main example but nowadays ETH is not yet as stable as it is before.

Majority of the vote going with Ethereum because still it’s a very promising coin and it will be continue in the upcoming year. ETH is high liquidity platform that's why any crypto-currency can't overtake. Although a few crypto enthusiasts already predict BNB will be next ETH still i don’t agree with it. I hold some ETH and wait for top performing in 2020. Low price ongoing to buy ETH for investors this is the good opportunity.       

You're right about ETH liquidity and promising level which was also the reason why it takeover the second spot from XRP but the real reason why people voted ETH which precisely the reason ETH have hhge community support was because the project was created to add value to crypto market. Besides, the project team communication with crypto enthusiast also boost more confidence on the project.

Not sure about "best performer", but it sure isn't going to be any of the top 50 coins. Ripple did extremely well in 2017, but the whole crypto marketcap was so tiny compared to now, so future growth wont be repeated from the past in the same way.

Personally, I believe projects working on "decentralized solutions" will see a good ROI. Blocknet being the first project to launch a fully functional DEX, (Which is still being worked on). Moreover they are working on decentralized oracles, which will be a game changer in the future, I'm sure.

The reason why I'm BULLISH on this one, is because node owners can profit off of these services, which will push the price up once people realize what kind of return you can get passively through a well adopted DEX.

It's a common answer to say etherereum will be the best performing altcoin but we must think another possibility as so many people were also aiming to get a lot ot return from their crypto investment. Just try to take a look at a bunch of coins from the middle tier are also getting huge increase at the same time with ethereum but it offers more than 100% increase instantly.
Invest in the major coin is a good decision but just remember if you can't make a lot of bucks forever from there. Middle market is much more preferable in this case.

I think you have missed many coins which might be one of the top performing altcoin in 2020. I think Link will grow from the point where it is now, they are collaborating with many of the big companies. Dash might fall a little but might be a good coin in the long run.

I would vote for BNB. If market starts to recover, since binance platform is the most popular and common exchange platform, BNB will be very profitable imo. (If binance platform stays safe and unhacked ofc.)

I don't think that BNB will show anything unusual with market growth, the usual top coin and strong growth at BNB was in spring 2019, when the IEO was popular.

Your response about them staying safe and unhacked is pretty much my fears with BNB coin. I'm afraid to invest in it long term because you just never really know what might happen. It relies too much on Binance to stay alive on it's own. I think as far as altcoins go, this is probably going to be Eths year. With the new updates coming out and what looks to be a bull market coming in strong, I just don't see anything else being able to keep up.

If you consider other promising coins in common with LINK. I'd put it in a spimocoque:
1) AERGO is a block man for business, constantly working on it.
2) ORIGO - they've launched Main net.

I also strongly agree with your opinion and most of your colleagues that ethereum will still be the best altcoin available to date and is unlikely to be replaced by altcoin that has an existing market or altcoin that is just growing. Other altcoins are also pretty good if you want to analyze at CMC, where currently the top 10 ranking can still be recognized is still appropriate to be an option, just analyze a little there and determine what you want to do.

Agree, even I have voted for BNB because as of now the price of BNB is undervalued and struggling at the current price. Agree, once the market starts recovering we might new ATH for BNB because I have very strong expectations on the Binance platform which BNB coin will surely increase its price.

The minimum is 32 if I am not mistaken. You will need an additional 30 ETH for you to be able to meet the minimum requirement for the staking.

it is surely that. I have not seen any alts that is likely to grow as strongly as this year. Ethereum 2.0 seems to be nearing completion and the need to buy ETH for staking will be huge in the near future. I think that when bitcoin halving happens, many people will push the price of bitcoin higher and when it has reached the top, people will sell bitcoin to buy ETH. They will then use ETH for staking to earn more in the future. That is my strategy now if the market continues to grow steadily.

In my opinion, the best performing altcoin for 2020 would most likely go to ethereum. Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency according to coin market and has a line up of events which would most likely increase the value during the year. The ethereum 2.0 is one of the events and there's a speculation that ethereum would mark a new alt within the year.

As you mentioned, you need 30+ Ethereum to start staking according to current information. This alone will probably have more people buying up Eth to try and hit that minimum threshold to start staking. People will more than likely not be selling those coins either since they're profiting off of them. I'm sure hype will play a little factor in the rise in price, but there is also enough reason to buy and hold the ETH long term.

I just know that you did not conduct either ICO or IEO. Am I correct on this? If it is so, I guess you are indeed a dedicated project. I am always amazed at projects that do not need the money of other people in order to develop their own product. It spells legit to me because you cannot afford to fail if you invested much money into it, unlike other projects that are spending what is not theirs and do care how they spend it.

Upon seeing the altcoins in the poll I notice that why there's no Binance Coin(BNB) and Litecoin even they belong to the top-performing altcoins in the market. In the poll, I choose the Ethereum which now has a big development and it seems the price is also slowly increasing like bitcoin. Among all cryptocurrencies that you have mentioned in the poll, I only have Ethereum and it is also my reason why I choose it. Aside from that IMO, why you did not include the Litecoin, Binance, and Ripple. Then, maybe you should consider this altcoin because these cryptocurrencies have most of the predictions on the market.



It seems you now have a good portfolio and considering the Ethereum and Litecoin in your investment might the best way to earn profit for this year. But so far, I still think if I going to buy Litecoin because in my portfolio I already have Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Binance coins that's why I'm still undergoing on the decision if I going to add the Litecoin in my portfolio. what does exactly burning coins means  ? selling or sending it to other obsolete address   ?

For me there is a huge chance of 3 coins to rival each other this year according to what will happen. The biggest one will be ethereum because of the hard fork thing, if they actually manage to make it a staking coin, we will definitely see ethereum increasing, that is for sure, however how much it will go up is beyond me, maybe it will go to all time highs, maybe it will just increase %10, I don't know what will happen.

The other one is BNB, they had a good burning this year already and they keep finding ways people could spend BNB as well, it may have a good year if they find something to spend BNB on. Last one is EOS, they got famous because their blockchain got clogged and used so much, people realized its a liked one and it went up, I suppose it could continue that trend.

ETH is still not performing, it's been over a year already and it always fall back to $100+, I don't know when it will start to pump but the only hope people are expecting which is the ETH 2.0 has no clear timeline yet when it will be launch. However, I believe that ETH already at dip now so it's nice to accumulate at this price as it's likely to go pump than dump and hopefully ETH won't be left out this year and it will be one of the performing assets this year.

What has Bitcoin new coin supply halving got to do with Ethereum who does not change the number of new coins coming to market daily.
The fantasy of having double the number of Ethereum buyers or existing buyers buy double the amount form one day to the next.
Change to POS (2.0) is coming since beginning of 2018 to this day zero evidence other than talk about it.
Even if it happens, how is a proven fail good. In 2014 most new coins where POS fast majority died even the creator of the flowed concept (Peercoin) managed to go from April 29, 2013 $0.40 to $0.23 today.

I am guessing the reason for ethereum to outperform any other coin would be the Istanbul fork that is expected this year. I mean all other coins are decent ones as well and I definitely support them but at the same time so I think there is no reason why others can't have better years. This is more about "generally market would go up but eth may have a skyrocket due to fork" type of thinking by people.

Let's hope that the fork is as good as everyone imagine it is, otherwise we would have a bad coin that had a failed fork with thousands of people invested millions of dollars for nothing and that would hurt the market immensely. I think the best case scenario here would be every single coin going up a bit, some going a lot more but all of them ending the year on positive.

I would say Ethereum will be focus this year 2020. due to ETH 2.0 will be the next to watch on July. I would say other top perfumer altcoin in 2020 will be Tron - TRX, And XRP can be the next after TRX.

Yes, this year seems great for the altcoins where last year bullish run did not come into alts! Some new coins are doing great with the old ones. In the first month of 2020, we saw a bullish trend into BSV, BCH, DASH, BNB, LTC, ETH, TEM, SERO and many others. And we can expect the more bullish trend will come into all potential altcoins.

They are not bullish yet, we can say that altcoins are bullish when they have consistent increase and slowly recover to its good price.
As of now, they haven't recovered half of what it drop during the long correction, so we are really hoping it will continue to rise so soon we will see a new ATH, but it would not happen when bitcoin will remain below its ATH.

as of now, Bitcoin still struggle to break $10,000....... hope tomorrow when I wake up, WE WILL FINALLY BE THERE.

Although the price increase in bitcoin is a necessity but it is not a determinant of all eth trends because people vote for eth, they know that it will have a very important update this year, the time is coming very close, it's the detonator for eth to go up, and if the information and support are good enough, eth can break the trend and not follow bitcoin. It means that even if bitcoin didn't rise and fall, eth could still go up just by the information of this update, and this price hike will not lose to bitcoin's recent development as eth is also a big player in the market

Check Tezos (XTZ) they have a good RoadMap for this years, and currently all is okay for this Project/blockchain

I am sure there will be some coins that are at the very bottom of the lists, not even worth 1 satoshi, worth probably less than 1 ethosi or whatever people call ethereums smallest currency, maybe even less than 1 litoshi (the litecoin one) that will go maybe 10000x towards being worth 1 satoshi somewhere one day and maybe even peak at 5-6 satoshi each.

That will literally be the top performing altcoin of 2020, it will probably go from 15 thousand dollars whole market cap to 1+ million dollars, still will be very very tiny and not considered important at all and because of the increase there will be a huge hype that will be soon forgotten, yet that moment it will be the biggest earner. All of the other ones here will probably make a good profit but none of them have potential for that much increase.
