Title: [Suggestion] Add report button in post history
Post by: hosseinimr93 on January 13, 2020, 09:17:01 PM
This user (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2687874) is advertising an exchange everywhere in the forum. Almost all of the posts made by this user should be deleted. (Archived (http://archive.is/wip/pYk1j))
I reported one of the posts made by this user and in the comment, I asked the moderator to check the post history of the user as well. My report was marked as good and the post was deleted. I expected all the posts made by this user to be deleted. But only the reported post was deleted. Reporting all the posts made by this user is really time-consuming. Because we have to open each of the threads that the user has posted in.
My suggestion is to add "report" button at bottom of the posts shown in the posts history.  (Something like the following image)

I am sorry if it has already been discussed. I couldn't find any thread about this.

I have asked for this many times but with no luck. If you want you can use suchmoon's script.
Ill give a link soon.

Edit: As I promised here is the link. You can report even from the search results :)

I think I recall this suggestion before at least once.  If I remember correctly, one of the mods--could have been hilariousandco--suggested that you can write something like "all of this member's posts are spam" or something like that in lieu of reporting all the offending posts individually.

Back when I was actively searching for shitposts to report in the pre-merit system days, I would go through members' post histories and report them one by one, and it was a pain in the butt.  I'd love it if there were a check box function or something similar when you're reporting posts, because often members make a bunch of posts that should get reported all for the same reason.  It's inefficient to report them individually.

I didn't know suchmoon made a script for this.  I'd like to see it if you can provide a link.

You can use this script (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5101823.msg49405472#msg49405472) written by Cyrus. I have used it in the past and it works wonderfully.

About scripts, you can find them at List of Bitcointalk.org Userscripts/ Add-ons (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5148488.0). The One-click mod report script is built and modified by multiple authors, so you will have to choose the one that is suited for your interests.

I think they have several people or teams in clicking on their exchanges.

Could this be the same team or person doing their activities.

1. DBIXDBIX (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1455024)

Check out the new Needyex exchange, listing ETH tokens promotion is valid for the first three tokens, contact me for more information on telegram.

I think this is a person in the form of a team or the same person.

I have reported it, hopefully it will respond.

My suggestion is to add "report" button at bottom of the posts shown in the posts history.

This might not be the best idea if you want to save some time on reporting him, I mean you'll still technically be reporting each and single one of his post illegally advertising his exchange. Maybe a much more better approach to reporting him is to report his account itself since majority of his post aren't allowable so maybe a "Report Member" function would be the best way to save some time and be convenient. But the drawbacks I am seeing about this is the mods will of course be bombarded by a lot of new work not to mention a lot of members submitting retaliatory fake reports to other members. But since we still don't have these kinds of function I think the best way to report him entirely is by creating a reputation thread against his rule violation, chances are the mods will see a clearer picture on what he is doing compared to seeing reports of his posts one by one.

will be more comfortable with your solution but (quote) here it does not need to be updated because it is comfortable in my opinion, just edit the bottom right with your suggestion but it all depends on the developer who will do it because I know it might take a little work time
