Even though Soleimani was a bad person which is very true because many US politicians considered killing him, Trump only killed him just for political gains and all this were helped when the Iranian backed militia decided to attack the US Embassy in Iraq. In the end I will say that the Iranians themselves gave Trump the opportunity to score that political point.

While I do not trust the Huff Post and those other networks, it is true indeed that he would have only been able to do this with the support of those "hawks". I would still say it was justified though, considering Soleimani was actually in Iraq for the sole purpose of causing unrest.

I think basically what happened was the hawks were already bloodthirsty and then the Iraq attack happened. So Trump ordered the hit and they allowed him to. I don't believe this is related to the impeachment, since causing a new war could ruin his chance of winning.

What really matters now is that Trump has done humanity a great favor by removing Qasem Soleimani from this planet. terrorism is a cancer. Anyone who have war in their country because of some Islamist fanatics knows the pain of seeing their relative being kidnapped and then found his body without his head. It is necessary to combat terrorism

While this is something that could've been true. I highly doubt that Trump would've been able to convince military generals to go alongside this if they thought it was just a political hit. Soleimani was someone who killed Americans, and was most likely planning the death of many more Americans. Pretty sure this is what was going on.

Trump had caught wind of all of this after Iran had killed a US contractor.

While yes, at the end of the day Trump gets a political win from this. But first and foremost this is a military and strategic win.

This is really weird and twisted logic.

USA has it's own interest and is fulfilling under the cover of  counter terrorism. What USA doing in Iraq? Oh finding weapons of mass destruction. Did they find any ? No. But many oil wells were now under there control. They have only one 9/11 and there were millions killed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and other countries.

Support Soleimani all you want.

Iran has never been and never will be any kind of savior of the Middle East.

It does not matter whatever it was tied to. As far as I am concerned, he can tie it to snow falling in America, or because the trains and buses are working. The situation now has gone beyond not using everything possible to your advantage because in as much as the Senate is full with Republicans, it does not mean the President would not fight as there would also be spotlights on the Senators from home which might even affect their own chances during the election but if they are seen as being fair, then they can maintain their seats.

The Dems are ill. Straight out calling people liars, especially without bringing clearly solid evidence, is childish. Will Trump be removed? These childish Dem activities suggests that they are ready to kill if they don't get what they want.

White House Counsel Nukes Jerry Nadler: ‘This Is the United States Senate. You’re Not in Charge Here.’ (https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/01/21/white-house-counsel-nukes-jerry-nadler-this-is-the-united-states-senate-youre-not-in-charge-here/)

White House Counsel Pat Cipollone blasted House impeachment manager Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on the floor of the Senate early Wednesday morning during the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump for making “false accusations” against the president and the Senate.

“The only one who should be embarrassed, Mr. Nadler, is you, for the way you addressed this body. This is the United States Senate. You’re not in charge here,” Cipollone said.

The White House counsel was responding to Nadler’s lengthy speech advocating for an amendment to subpoena former National Security Advisor John Bolton. Bolton has said he would be willing to testify, though the House failed to call him to testify during its own impeachment inquiry. Democrats hope that he will shed light on what impeachment managers called a “scheme” by the president to pressure Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.

But Nadler began by accusing the White House counsel of lying — a striking breach that would likely have been disciplined in any ordinary court of law. “They lie,” he claimed. “And lie, and lie, and lie,” he repeated.

Nadler went on to argue that if the Senate voted against the Democrats’ proposed amendment to a procedural resolution — which would only accelerate the decision on Bolton to an earlier stage of the trial — they would be “voting against the United States.” When it was Cipollone’s turn to respond, he had clearly had enough.

He said:
