As I predicted bitcoin going to touch 10k soon by this year.
many suggested it can't be,
many suggested it will go down again.
but recently bitcoin has grown up from 7k to today 8.6k.
Now I am prediciting bitcoin price by next month or end of this month will touch 9k.
whats you guys say?

I too am very optimistic that the price of bitcoin would reach $10K on February. Thought the price would remain volatile, we'd seen a general upward trend in the coming months. This month, it would be difficult for BTC to reach that point but nothing can be dismissed. The current rise would show some correction in the next day.

Considering the amount people looking to profit by the time halving come, I would say yes and probably $9k soon. Those from finance business, they are going to crypto market even the banks might just be joining this party to earn. Amazing how the price spikes so much in just a day, almost unreal but if someone has been pumping it, he'd be losing money he must be investing for he knew the price will go up later.

it is not possible to predict bitcoin at times like this. the market is divided into fearful people who are waiting to FOMO in and the whales who are accumulating so it can take longer or shorter. all i can predict is that we are going to see a big jump as soon as the rise starts which is why i don't really care about $9k but i am trying to guess which price we stop at after reaching $9k. maybe $15K?

I'm a little optimistic with the situation of the market although having a doubt because it might be another bull trap again. It's best to do scalping if this is the situation of the market if only it could drop a bit again so that scalping traders can buyback. If after this week Bitcoin push to touch the $9k then I think there's something that makes the to pump like that.

We might even see 9k before we go to sleep today. It is exciting seeing Bitcoin rally. I am always a cheerer of Bitcoin pumps, to the point that I sometimes forget to sell even if it is already pumping very hard.

I think we can see 9k USD in this month, the price at this point is about 8.7k USD yeah $ 300 left to make it happen. Perhaps it will go down a little bit, but I believe it's just a correction the price will recover soon. Anyhow, $9,000 happening this month or next month shouldn't be a big deal after all. Bitcoin price will surely touch that level again as it was realistic to happen no matter what.

seeing the current growth in bitcoin prices makes me think quite optimistically. I think the price of bitcoin is quite easy for a few hundred dollars in 1 day, and the price of $ 9k is only a few hundred dollars less. seeing this rapid development, I think the price of $ 9k will soon be enjoyed. however, prepare your seat belt, there is a possibility that the price could be higher than the price you mentioned.

 It looks like there is a possibility but there is reallly no shock that bitcoin could reach 9k honestly, thats something bitcoin can do easily, not that it would change anything, next month bitcoin could be 9k and the month after that it can be 6k, we are in bitcoin world its volatile so these numbers don't really mean much. I am not saying be like the people who say bitcoin will be 100k this year or one million dollars soon or whatever, those people are not living in the real world and will not be right, however there is a middle ground between predicting 100k and predicting 9k, I would say predicting like 20k is still viable and realistic, it could happen or it may not happen, its a mistery for all of us, 9k is obvious it will happen and nothing major but 20k would be really good and still looks realistic.

Bitcoin is growing well in today ratio, so it will cross the 9k USD soon. I expect end of the week see 10k USD because of rapid growing. Normally Bitcoin is a volatile crypto currency so no one predict the future pump and dump so we can manage any value on all the time. I hope this year we see good growth on all the coins.

There haven't been all that many people thinking $10k wouldn't be possible this year, at least not on bitcointalk.  It would also be silly to think that when bitcoin was already at that level just a few months ago.

As far as whether $9k can be reached next month....uh, yeah.  It's possible.  I'd even go so far as to say it's probable, because as I write this bitcoin is at $8624.  Getting a pop of less than $300 might happen this month for all we know, but it's more than possible within a month.  It just depends on whether there turns out to be any momentum behind whatever it is that's going on with bitcoin right now.

I think $9,000 is a huge milestone that will attract a lot of attention for another bull-run. The FOMO will be strong and a lot of folks who have been watching from the sidelines will jump in. The more the price increases, the more people will want in on the action. However, I think a lot of people are likely to buy Bitcoin if it drops under $7,000, thus there's resistance against it dropping much below. a lot of people are likely to sell Bitcoin if it rises over $9,000, thus there's resistance against it going higher. who wins? I don't know.

The current bitcoin price is $ 8720 and only $ 280 is needed for it to reach $ 9000, so this goal $ 9000 in this month is workable or even it could be achieved today if the machine pump continues to operate. In what particular way do you think that bitcoin will touch the $9k price soon? OP is just clearly giving a wild guess because it has no factors to support his speculation. I myself can do it too, but let's just not waste too much time on giving a false hope to someone. The prediction might be right or wrong but there should be a fact to back it up.

I like the steady price increase and pull back. As it grows I also usually check the fear and greed index to see how people are reacting to the purchase. We wont have to open thread at every price movement and bull market is definitely here. It is time to buy for those that still want to buy more and watch the market grow. The sporadic pump will be seen in April/May, we could break $20k with the present growth

Looks like its going to touch 9k or 10k this month. Unlike previous January’s dump I think this year is an opposite maybe its due to halving and people realize to accumulate more and its potential outcome in the next few months after the implementation.

I couldn't say an specific value for the main time, more probabilities that we need to consider for this month in line with bearish market. This might be so difficult for all of us, but we still need to double or triple our patience over it. Man, we got increased by +8.83% in the last 1 week. We might be able to touch 9k sooner though it is uncertain yet it is that close. We are moving too fast even though theres an upcoming event like halving.I wont be surprised if there would be some heavy pullbacks later on.

Yes, I think the same of you, Bitcoin price already crossed 8800 USD, it's just 200 USD behind to hit the 9K USD. I don't think Bitcoin will take a month to cross 200 USD up, it can be done within a few days. Personally I think BTC price will hit 10K USD in the next month, we may see a minor dump but that won't break anything. I am hopeful of 10K USD within February.

I guess accumulating at $6,000 level didn't work right, as Bitcoin are very slow to recover even after the halving hype kicked in. Maybe retailers had a strong doubt then? Though accumulating at this current level may not be as bad as those who will be FOMOing when the price starts to make a big leap and rally to new heights.

Anyway, the OP's prediction is more likely to happen, and what's more interesting is Bitcoin could be in the $10,000 level next month.

The crypto market is now by -1.86% and it is not suprisingly because the pump we only seen might be just a trap. Some speculation are saying that Bitcoin will drop more as we getting near at Bitcoin halving and expected to skyrocket after that event. But I do still believe that the market will now recover and if this happen we might eventually seen the Bitcoin will touch $9k by the next month.

It's not that I don't believe in rising bitcoin prices like today, but I think after Chinese New Year it looks like bitcoin will decline again, I feel like this will happen. reaching 10k usd could have happened but for the next month to reach that price? It can happen any day of this year and we didn't know that possible to reach higher than your prediction too. the price are volatile and it always has the potential to be high or low. also, many things that will going to happen to make the price of bitcoin up and down so make it sure that you are ready to what will happen in next phase.

Why though? Halving (which wouldn't be next month yet) wouldn't reduce existing supply, just make it slower for new btc to enter circulation.

The only reason it could climb up is if demand goes up, which I think could happen since as prices go up it tend to attract people from outside. Most people that have already been used to bitcoins usually keep some for holding.

There are tons of predictions on bitcoin future price, some went true while majority went wrong. OP has the right to say whatever he wants and may be his prediction went true but it will be just a coincidence. The fact is bitcoin has its own way of going up and down and nobody is still competent enough to understand that.

There are predictions that Bitcoin may not rally to $9k due to double top pattern that appear recently.  But I still believe that Bitcoin will rally to $9k next month.  We can feel and see that the sentiment of the market is really bullish, and some sign like last year where Bitcoin reaches $14k also appear before this double top pattern.  As long as this run is not a bull trap, it will be easy to see $9k at the end of this month or probably even before the month end.

No doubt price will rise more than $9k because it’s unstoppable and more investment per day is making it stronger as we know Bitcoin is one of the most strong and favorite crypto of people. There are millions of investors who make prices keep volatile but we should not think negatively about this volatile market. It’s so natural to see it rising and falling but investors should believe in holding at the dump.

I don't have any idea, but I hope that bitcoin price can hit $10k this year before the halving moment. But with so many times bitcoin price up to and down, we don't know for sure. It could be increased in the next month, or it will increase after the halving moment. It is very easy to say that the price will reach 9K when it is only a few hundreds away. Two days it has been trying to break 8.7K resistance. I say if it fails to break this resistance this week, it may revert back to below 8K. So the next few days are critical if we will see 9K and above soon.

We're almost there, last time I checked BTC = $87++. So it the momentum continues in the next couple of days, definitely $9k is achievable again. I am assuming February will be around either $12k or $6k levels, I know that looks like a big range but looking at where we are right now and how we are doing, I am just assuming that bitcoin is at a very sensitive spot. If we can continue soaring up then we will definitely break $12k, that won't be a problem at all, we just need this hype to continue and keep going, however if we can't, that would mean the price can no longer go up and people will know about it and they will start to sell which will drop the price.

I am hoping the $12k one will be the reality and from all we have seen recently it looks like that is the real one that will happen however we can never 100% guarantee anything in crypto world, it is literally filled with insane volatility that shocks us all the time.

I don't know where you check the price but on Bitstamp it already touched 9k two times in last 3 days. But none of the candles closed above it.

As price havent got dumped and showing steady up movement from 8k floor i think we will see 10k+ within jan but it might be resistance for next bull run. Crossing 10k once might set another fomo to push price beyond ATH of 20k within this year unless hedge fund guys decide to cashout big profit with just one year of holding. Money talks....

$12k is very reasonable. Especially with the momentum we have right now and the overall great market sentiment. Compared how fast we have risen last year summer, it is a piece of cake to really push up violently.

I thought the same that Bitcoin may hit 9K USD in the next month, but Bitcoin did not want to wait for that much, it's already hit 9K USD today! Though that wasn't stable, but I believe we will get a stable 9K USD this month and 10K USD will take some days extra! I assume BTC will cross 10K USD on the first week of February! Let's celebrate the Bitcoin price growth, the bull run is coming!

I just checked the bitcoin price at binance.com. And surprisingly, the bitcoin price has reached $ 9050 and currently has dropped a bit, but it's not so important. Bitcoin is going up quickly this year and it will quickly return to $ 10,000 just like a few months ago, the market in 2020 will be great and those who invest in it will certainly have a lot of profit

9k might be real. Just a couple hundred of dollars and it is there.
I want to see a 10k though. Just to go back into a 5 digit price. Maybe that will be a cue that 12k will happen again.

I want see bitcoin back above $16,000 to make altcoin have higher price and keep profitable with many holding altcoin more than one year or two years, but I will pray hope bitcoin could touch with higher price and give chance for altcoin back to the top price. Without bitcoin touch with higher price never seeing dominance altcoin on market.

Yeah, I honestly wouldn't guess bitcoin would be at 9k, I am sure no one here ever thought this would be this quick, I mean we all guessed it "could" be $9k that is for sure, it is bitcoin so we all know it can have these kinds of crazy movements but I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this quickly, in any case I am pretty sure we are all happy (unless you shorter bitcoin in which case I am sorry for your loss).

Will it continue soaring like it did all these days or will it say "enough" and start going down again to under 8k? Honestly since it is bitcoin, I wouldn't be shocked if I wake up tomorrow to a $10k bitcoin or an $7k bitcoin, both would be quite in the realm of possibility at this point.

When your predicting bitcoin price will touch above $9k, this week or you have prediction with bitcoin back to higher price on this month, many time I look with bitcoin can raise to higher price and always chance ho to see bitcoin keep continue for growing up to higher price, I think have prediction most higher price with bitcoin at the future.

I think that each of us understands and realizes the value of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin for the whole of humanity and really knows what cryptocurrency prices will be in the future, but it is very difficult to predict what will happen on the cryptocurrency market in the near future.  Each cryptocurrency user can analyze the market, comparing with the information received from the market charts and from the media, which also affect the cryptocurrency pricing, and thus can adjust its activities to minimize losses and increase profitability.  And even then, there is still no guarantee of success.

Really it did reached $9,000 on bitstamp already? I'm just using CMC as price checker and sometimes with preev and see that's why I haven't seen it touch that price on those websites that I'm looking at. The price is turning quickly from time to time and I think before this day ends we'll see $9k.

Till now it has touched price around $8960. Upon the same reaching $9000 can be reached anytime soon. With every small growth taking place with bitcoin there is good level of resistance being gained. This means the chance of fall is very low, upon which I believe by tomorrow we can experience $9000.

Maybe you missed something, the price reached 9050 $ a few days ago. You should update everything more carefully before making a statement. And by the end of January we will certainly see Bitcoin go up to 9000 $ again, and if bitcoin crosses this range then 10000 $ in February is certain.

We'll see if people really recognize this as a milestone.

As I'm writing this we went to 9015 on Bitstamp, went sideways for a day and are now pumping back to 9000. At the moment it's 8945 USD. Will it be a double top or will people see there's a chance for a real bull market and a move to 10 thosaund again?

If we touch 10 we will break it for sure because it always did after touching that level. It always was 10200 or 10500, even 10900 in August.

See bitcoin has touched the price of $9130 in mid-January means that the current movement of bitcoin is good though slowly but it will definitely continue to rise, next month we will target bitcoin to the price of $10000 whether it will happen in February?
Bullish has arrived and bitcoin is really growing well earlier this year I hope it will be bullish for this year and last a long time.

IMO, this is like a normal movement of Bitcoin when closely approaching the halving. There seems like a gradual rise of the price months before the halving takes effect and will continue to rise up until the year after.
What's interesting is that, Bitcoin tends to make new ATH base on the outcome from the past two halving in 2012 and 2016. I'm not just so sure this time, but definitely not a thing to miss about.

yes I've also seen it, it seems it's true that the current conditions are actually already bullish but why do some people still think that this is just a trap. I myself was also a little hesitant when reading a few threads of speculation, is it just a trap or not. Yes I also seen the price pumping incredibly today, and this is very amazing news that triggers more adoption from different races who wants to hold bitcoin as an asset. Breaking $10k is always struggling, just like what happened last year there's an attempt but suddenly crashed down unexpectedly. I think it's going to happen in the same pattern this year, so it's not easy to get into that price.

It already touches $9,000+ and i think that it could rise up more up to the value between the range of $9,800 - $10,500 and this is my prediction since a lot of hype is going on after this uptrend of the value of BTC.

And i think that this is the beginning of the pump of value again on BTC and maybe in a couple of months we can see it more than we are expecting.

Well, I figured hitting $9k could happen sooner than next month when I posted a few days ago in this thread, and bitcoin did hit that price last night as others have pointed out.  But boy, it sure didn't stay very long above $9k--the price is at $8608 right now, so it's obvious that traders who made a quick buck already cashed out.

This is the main problem when bitcoin quickly spikes, i.e., that those kinds of gains aren't sustainable.  I would have thought that a minor pop like what we just saw would be, but obviously not, and that's why I'm hoping the halving doesn't create a bubble situation or that one doesn't get created regardless of what the reaction to the halving is.

Congratulations you don't have to wait next month to see Bitcoin 9k$ price. In the morning it was 9100$ and all of sudden while I was having my evening tea I saw a downword slide of approx 500$. Now Bitcoin is at 8600$. You cant ever predict this currency with accuracy.

Well as we observed it is short lived after hitting $9k.  It hits $9k yesterday and revisted it again today, then after that  sellers become to dump Bitcoin pushing it downward to $8600, do you think price will go below $8k, I read some negative view about Bitcoin revisiting $6k after this rally to $9k.  Is it even possible while Bitcoin sentiment is bullish?

The price of bitcoin is now around $8636.53 . And it already backed after touching 9200$. If we follow the last few weeks of bitcoin movement we can see that from $6000 it comes to $9000 very quickly. So this was a quick spike of bitcoin now it is time to make some correction. we can see another 100-200$ fall before start run again to ahead. But I think it will not take more time to come back. we can see another 9000$ in this month IMO.

nothing can be said with certainty about bitcoin. It may go down to 5k$ or may go up and touch 9k$ tomorrow. All we need is keep buying bitcoin at dip and sell them at high. Dont greed just sell at your target price else you will be always cursing the market.

It's already over in this year Bitcoin has reached 9k US dollar in the price chart so if you want to discuss more about the US dollar value it might be senseless based upon the opening date of this thread.
Simply we can categorise the value using the price chart if there is good adoption and positive news we can conclude that between is going in green way.

It kept establishing higher highs so it wasn't a rejection dump. It hit 9k then backed a bit and pumped again to 9180 which is great- each time higher high. Then it backtracked again as some people take profit, just like it did on 17.01 after breaking 9k for the first time. All organic. Then somebody dumped a big stash and it broke down. It looks like he was waiting to do it but hoped for 10k. When it didn't happen and looked like a retrace back to 8900 he sold everything. It did not look like a move by a trader but more like someone unloading and exiting. Some people held since Summer of 2019 and waited for something like this to finally take profit and exit the market. I also bought a few things with my coins went back above 8k for the first time since November.

It can get to a common price like this because so many people watch that area.   Its the 200 day average but also we then repel vs that point with some selling both by speculators long and new shorts now looking for price movement downwards.
  From what I can see BTC remains bullish, its only pulled back so far to the weekly average which indicates its likely still within a positive phase.   If we lose this measure then it can reset to a lower price still.

So yes, we have achieved the goal to reach $9k this month, however, it is not sustainable. We still have weeks though, to try and breach it for good. We have a minor pullback, just normal as people are talking profits and re-entering their positions.

Yes, it was a long way, but it is very worth to wait to see the price finally touching $9000 and it's a good indication that the bulls are somewhat taking over the market. However, just like when we touch psychological barrier, it will follow but a price correction. -$500 now, but it is still good as we have seen the support level is very strong. $10000 possible at the end of the month? No its not the whales who controls the price to drop again in $8,000 level but the traders and investors who sold their alts and btc when the price touches $9,100. It has been a normal scene in cryptocurrency if the price was down for quite a long time and then suddenly rise people is rushing to sell it in a good price.

For me, it wasn't whales that keep btc under control. It seems you forgot about traders selling point. Movement like this is pretty normal and obviously not made by whales. It's expected for price to fall upon reaching a price point. If it was made by whales, the price reaction won't be like this but look the price is pretty fine after that fall and didn't even cause a panic or maybe that's just how I view the situation. They are pretty confident that we're still in good run despite of that fall.

It is hard to believe that the market value will suddenly reach that far within a few days or within a month knowing that the market value increase at this moment has no assurance that it would be continuous. Bitcoin is a powerful crypto but if we would consider the situation at this moment, and how volatile in nature the market is, it would be absurd to think in such way. But for now, be patient and carefully observe how the market would behave for the next months.

You are right, the current movement is very normal, there are still around 4 months before halving so if bitcoin increase very high it will be too fast if it happens at this time. the price may still be a correction and strengthen the support at 9-10k. I hope the price will stable above 10k before halving occurs. because I'm sure there will be a lot of FUD ahead of halving.
