Then something happened, and prices are bouncing all over the place!  LTC went to 40, 45, 50, 55, and now 60!!!

WAITAMINUTE!!!! I didn't buy more LTC yet!!!  Go back down below $30 to maximize my profits!!!

the price can go up but then again it will fall down again ( vice versa )  the cycle just repeats  . see what happen to most cryptos  ?  they reach thier highest value or called all time high  ( ath ) but later on they drop hard   . so we are now here people are now hapilly buying again  .  ltc right now is still inexpensive and still recomended to buy because there is no good price hike happen within this coins  .

Not too high but still good enough if you have more than a handful LTC. And the point is that this is not everything there is. We still have some nice space up there for more increases. I am really convinced that if the momentum of the crypto market that this year has started this early will be sustained, LTC and the other top coins will be making for us an amazing gain.

I just checked my credit cards, and I have about $8000 of room to play with.  I'm not saying it's a good idea, but if I were to buy maybe $2000 worth of LTC at $40 each, for 50 LTC, and HODL it a couple months to the next price pop, that would be enough to pay back the credit card and give me a few grand extra.

I'm not surprise for having a good sight for future on LTC since actually on the past halving this coin gain more percentage together with the other alt's and it will happen again once the market will take it's place with the presence of that scenario. And if people are worried that it will dump then for sure it is since it's a normal activity of the market but for sure it will pump since LTC is quitely establish with good stand on the market.

I don't know why you think LTC is too expensive? The fact that the price is high only shows how great and strong position Litecoin have on the cryptocurrency market. I think that should encourage investors to be interested in this coin. In my opinion, Litecoin and Ethereum will have the greatest potential for price increase in 2020. When it comes to buy for the price of $30, or below $40, I would rather not expect that we will see this price again in the coming weeks.

I understand, I might not have the right attitude here.  Nothing new for me.

But an unanswered question - what does the Chinese new year have to do with coin prices?  And what's the likely effect of the new year on the short term price moves?  I could understand if they are selling just before years' end to save on taxes of something, but that's American thinking.

most altcoins are also now following the movements of bitcoin prices. not only altcoin has good growth following bitcoin. unfortunately when bitcoin is corrected the altcoin market is very easy to collapse. I hope the market can survive stronger.

Being an investor you have to know the right time to enter of course with your own analyst. Don't just see the movement price and you just have an intention but didn't know when to enter it will be useless. Other than that, you have to see the sentiment market as a whole don't just look at the information about the coin itself it will give you a bit of chance. Litecoin is a good coin IMO, you will get profit although you will find the lose but this thing will test your patience.

I'm not sure if we'll see $30 again for a long time. However, if you can get in when the price dips down(hopefully below $40) then thrice is a good price to get at is still a really cheap price to get in to LTC. More than likely it will be worth at least a few hundred dollars a coin again like it was in the past. If you look at it like that, even the $50-$60 price is good to get in at.

After recent spike from bsv and dash I think next one in line is ltc, so I expect one spike to 100 dollars or close to that at least. I bought at 50 dollars, and I will sell if it crosses 90 dollars mark! If not I will wait for that to happen some time. My trading with ltc was and is mid term, in some time ltc make a nice spike and drop after that spike, nice range for a nice profit, just needs a lot of patience when you trade with ltc.

If it dumps, then it will be up to you to continue to HODL and let the ride go as it goes and wait for the market to make a recovery. That will eventually come. But if you think it might take a very long time, years possibly, you have the choice to cut your loss and make use of what you have to let it grow in the meantime. What I am certain of is that Litecoin will not fail in the long run.

You can expect some correction on LTC, don't panic, wait it out as it's getting lower again. New year's hype is over so nothing unexpected should happen at this point. LTC halving been some time ago and didn't change donkey shit for this coin so why would BTC halving do it. ~15% fall from current prices is basically mandatory and only if you have some patient you can do it.

It almost happens most of the time when you actually sell. like in BCH i sold roght before it pumps because i am bearish bit i didn't chase its price going up because there might be a possibility that i will lose than earming by chasing especially i am trading in futures where there is a high risk of losing my money overtime if i cannot watch and manage my risk.

Feel sorry for you, man. As of today LTC is at $57, and I don't really much think that it would ever go back to $30, you trust your guts too much, didn't you? LTC is just bouncing between $56 to $58 in the last 3 days. Well, my least guess is that if it breaks its support level LTC might just stop at $40. Better yet don't hold back at that price though.

Litecoin at anything below $50 is a good investment in my opinion. Don't expect it to get into the low 30's again for a while. Buy it as cheap as you can possibly get in at. Even at the current prices, you're getting a really good deal on it. You'll make some decent money even if you got in at the almost $60 price it's currently trading at. Don't worry so much about getting in at the absolute bottom.

If you are expecting a huge fall in the market then you are interpreting that the entire market will fall in the coming months but i really do not want the market going down further, with the halving coming up i am not expecting a huge correction, the bear trend is over, we might see a huge correction only if there is a major negative news for the entire market which is highly unlikely to happen this year.

LTC is in a bull phase and will definitely go higher if people tend to invest more in this coin. In fact, I always consider this the number one option in this market because this coin has helped me to make a lot of profits in the past and certainly one day Litecoin will reach $300. Of course it depends on the value of Bitcoin but surely Litecoin will not be able to decrease further.

this is also a factor of halving that has been done. many people assume that halving has failed and has no impact on LTC prices in the market. but everything happens when after halving and demand increases. of course an increase in prices will occur. when bitcoin is better and makes a pump I think LTC can follow it.

That would be too greedy if someone would expect LTC to get back to $30 again, but if you have the opportunity to see such price going below $60 then buy a little and a little if you see the lows. By doing this you are making sure that you are investing it slowly but surely. Don't just lose your patience because you missed the timing, every movement is an opportunity.

haha, you're making yourself a joke. It seems that you are not serious about this trade. It sounds like you were too confident in your prediction and when the market went back, you said it was wrong. If you want to be a successful trader then you need to understand Market first before cursing it. No one is a fraud in Litecoin's price-pumping action, it's just a sudden surge in demand and so are the other alts. If you cannot keep up with the trend, you will not be profitable. It is a simple rule, you should learn more about TA to have more accurate judgments.
