Title: My Bitcoin Poem
Post by: Chris Barth on January 19, 2020, 08:26:17 AM
My heart skipped before posting this poem
However, I'm not hemmed. 🙂

Wasn't it about 10 years ago when it all emerged?
Bitcoin couldn't make any glow, and It wasn't a mere research,
Satoshi was brave.
So brave to hang onto his digital currency of 1 cent.
I'm sure many people thought that it was just a bluff.
Hence the journey made to achieve this great success was tough.
In about two months, the price made an increase.
And guess what, the increase never ceased.

It wasn't up to a year after launch,
Bitcoin set off to 1 dollar, but maybe Satoshi had that hunch.
The movement was obviously more than an inch.
Investors then came with their monies,
Hoping to get milk and honey when the fate they predicted comes in.
Just a few months after that punch,
It was now getting adopted as it moved up to thirty dollars.
In fact, the increase in price was as fast as an helicopter.

I still recall how the first bitcoin transaction was made.
It was done by a bitcointalk user, and I'll tell you about it in this my ode.
He asked for a pizza delivery in exchange for a handful of bitcoins.
Within 4 days, someone delivered the pizza to him and got the 10,000 coins.

Today, the 1 cent dollar bitcoin is worth over 1000 dollars.
This is a result of working hard, and even harder.
Promoting bitcoin and the blockchain technology
And now everyother cryptocurrency is a wannabe BTCitcoin.

What do you think about the poem?

Great poem, Chris! Brought me a lot of nostalgy and regret because I was not aware of the technology at that time. I'm sure that the information was on the internet then, I just had to search for it.
I do think you can continue writing the story of Bitcoin in a more "official" way like I'd suggest you to make a medium post or a blog and continuously update it, maybe with reference to the other altcoins as well. I'm sure it is going to get some "love" from the crypto communities out there.

Great idea. Well, I'll just have to think deeply about it cause it requires a lot of work to maintain something than to own it. I'm glad you considered the poem to be great!

For some reason, the poems in Game of Thrones came to my mind. The style looks just like them. But I still liked it very much. Thank you.
Good work.

A Bitcoin Poem  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1037510.0)

If I'm not mistaken, the W.O. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.0) thread has some poetry/haiku post.  ;D. You should try to visit it if you have some time.

This is an innovation worth emulating. Xraying btc from beginning in this manner of poem is wonderful. I commend the creator for lifting bitcoin eye up more.
Bitcoin need such grafting for more awareness creation.

What do you think about the poem?
More like a story than poem to me.
Always felt a little bit weird reading other people "mind" in a way.

Got that feeling also :)

This is an interesting poem and thanks for making my day special with that an educative aspect that I am not aware of before. 10,000BTC for a Pizza? Waoh, everything of great value begins with a bold step. Many thanks for Satoshi giving us a financial freedom

I don't like poetry very much, because I'm not rowmantis like the others, I'm just ordinary. and in my opinion, it's very funny to make poems that contain bitcoin ...

pretty good poem, even though I don't really like poetry, by the way why don't you include craig wright in your poem, will definitely look funnier and more interesting, almost everyone likes humor, so you have to include humor in poetry.  ;D

Nice poem, bro. Adding some drama events that happened might also be able to add the plus and minus values of the bitcoin journey through your poetry.
You have given a new color to the tension that occurred this week. Hopefully another poem will appear from you. Good Job!

Interesting with the lyrics of your poem,
Touched.

I also saw someone posting a poem about the decline of Bitcoin.
But when I read that it made a bitter taste like sweetness.

BITCOINS
Quote
- actually after difficulties there will be convenience.
bitter now, just keep working hard.
- although this poem is also quite critical in terms of (calm one another with bright future arguments), but regarding the future of crypto especially BTC and ETH are all sure it will rise again...
- let's just say, this bitter condition is like we are hungry which will make it better when eating.
- this time tired which will make us comfortable when the break arrives.

That's indeed a great poem.

But are you dissing the altcoins in the last line? ;D

Well, they have their own share of contribution at least.

It really nice to know the history of bitcoins thru your poem and it means more depending on people's mindset.

What do you think about the poem?
Your first time writing poem?
It's good and seems I'm time traveling 10 years ago with all the important things that happened
And now we're on the new decade of history, it surely have many things to unfold and as we look back to our history and who have thought that a worthless coin will be this valuable like gold.

OMG, I'm hearing myself reciting a poem. LOL!

That's a nice poem actually. Unlike other poems, it doesn't have nor need to be that difficult to understand. Simple words are enough to discuss and say what you wanted to say about Bitcoin. Through poem you have shown the story how Bitcoin started. I think you just have to improve yourself in writing and expressing yourself. And also the rhyming of words. Try to be more expressive rather than just telling the story. You can tell the story with more feelings. There's always a room for improvement. But overall it's a good poem. I am not a genius with poems as well.

indeed for example at that time the price of pizza was 10,000 BTC, bitcoin at that time was very worthless, but why did the pizza seller ask to pay it with 10,000 BTC, the question was whether the pizza seller knew that bitcoin would be very valuable so he asked the buyer to pay 10,000 BTC. not asking to use real currency? And of course, for example, the pizza seller holds it and sells it at a time when the price of bitcoin at the highest price level is certainly very lucky.

This is amazing! Its so great to read about the bitcoin begginings and how it grows by time. Its another unique way of expressing the history and the bitcoin evolution. Writing a poem is never easy and this one is really amazing. Its also some kind of an advertising which can be quoted for slogans or quotable quotes to share about bitcoin.

Bitcoin has now brought people to madness. Writing poetry is a good thing. But I think it doesn't make much sense to direct people's emotions to a substance. Again, congratulations for the transfer of emotions. Those who earn well from Bitcoin can write happier poems.
