Title: 6000+ posts and 0 merit...and the winner 🥇 is...
Post by: TheBeardedBaby on January 21, 2020, 11:06:17 PM
I know it's "difficult" for some people to earn merit  but after almost 2 years in the forum and 6000+ posts.
Here i present you :

Rimidalv (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1808762)

Found him in the patrol, while checking some random posts ;)

Show the last posts of this person---->Sorry, no matches were found.

I have all the sections he's posted in on ignore, and my guess is that's because he probably just does bounties and/or posts primarily in the altcoin sections.  If he actually makes posts in regular threads and not just in the Bounties ones, that's pretty impressive going almost two years without earning a single merit.

Maybe someone ought to alert him that he must now don the dunce cap?

I wanted to troll you a little bit by meriting one of their posts but I couldn't find anything meritworthy in the last 10 pages of their post history. Looks like nearly all 6000 posts are bounty reports except for a few meaningless fillers at the beginning in February 2018.

Extraordinary shitposting.

Well, he is the classic example of posting for just bounty reports and authentication, deserves him I think. Guess what? I am guessing this one has some alts and I don't doubt that possibility.

How is this even possible, lol? Must be the Lord of Shitposts  ;D. Lets show him some gratitude and give him his first compassion merit  ;)
Don't bother you'll just be tired scanning his entire profile posts searching for a decent one.

EDIT:

This post might be something. I am not fluent in Russian but it looks like he posted an informative link concerning Bitcoin wallets. Maybe someone who speaks russian could confirm this  ;)

It's because his post history is full of bounty reports  ;D I wonder which post you are going to Merit. Perhaps he just came to the forum to only earn tokens.

Apart from some posts very early on it seems they all are (as logfiles pointed out) bounty posts

Keeping that aside having made over 6000 posts without merit, it that the unenviable record here?   :o

Haha, i was thinking of giving him a reward for being the the Top Shitposter but Eddie already did the job. Well i guess sooner or later i will find another nominee for the reward. ;)
It was really extraordinary :)

I'm pretty sure he will be shocked tomorrow when he finds out that he got a merit out of the blue...

And he already got 1 merit. Ok, he got it for something what isn't bounty report. But c'mon, does complete bounty spammer really deserves to rank up? I don't think so...
I seen some users with with hundreds or +1000 posts with 0 merit. But +6000 posts and 0 merit, damn. Maybe it's new record.
It would be interesting to see something similar about high ranked members who made most posts without single earned merit.

It is true, found nothing meritable there. Actually, I want to appreciate him (send merit) because he can survive until 6381 posts so far. But unfortunately, no posts deserve merits.

*Maybe this post is the best one he has: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2553856.msg32434603#msg32434603.

-snip- Looks like nearly all 6000 posts are bounty reports except for a few meaningless fillers at the beginning in February 2018. -snip-
Most of them are just social media bounty reports. And even some posts are mega quotes, examples :

*I don't know why he can survive for years following the social media bounties. Did he really earn enough money from the social media bounties?  ::)

It looks to me like a description of how to organize all of your bounty hunting related data in a certain software with the goal of efficiency to the point where it will even set up the forms for you..

https://etherscan.io/tokentxns?a=0x27457e296214f60b3dc04e4f4b9e62f9efba6623
"A total of 426 txns found"
Currently worth a bit over $1,100 total..

Can anyone analyze this to determine about how much he has been able to make from all this including what he probably sold along the way?
I wonder if it is worth it..

I sent him a merit for the hell of it..

I don't know if I really see bounty reports as spammy.. They are in their proper place and aren't shitting up anything you are actually trying to read are they?
It's a lot of actual economic activity flowing through here too, and look at all the actual on-chain transactions happening because of it.. Real use of cryptocurrency (love it or hate it)..
It is quite a big economy and Bitcointalk is the HUB of this economy.. Isn't it?
Where else on the internet are things like this happening?

Theymos must kindof like it too for some reason since he allows it to take up so much forum resources.. I wonder what he thinks about the whole situation.. I bet he really has a big picture view of the situation that I would like to know..

Obviously most of these projects are junk and many turn out to be scams, but it is pretty cool that Bitcointalk facilitates this free market of projects, and the freedom of all to say anything they want about any of them, good or bad, weeding out and informing of scams in a free market way..

A lot of junk comes out of it but also just about all of the legendary projects have come out of it too no?

One could make the case that it is spamming up facebook and twitter.. But is that a concern?

Hmm... eddie13 broke his 'perfectly clean' bounty account record.
It was 'amazing' to see newbie account like this and I am sure more similar cases will now start to show up after more people see this topic :)

It depends on how you look at it. Is e-mail spam a concern these days? We don't see it anymore - usually it gets filtered off before it hits the inbox. Yet it would be naive to think that we don't pay for it in some shape or form.

I'm pretty sure we're paying for this bounty scam ICO garbage too. There is probably some libertarian justification for allowing it to happen but to me it looks like a scam-promoting cesspool with no appreciable benefit for the greater crypto good, much like e-mail spam.

I guess it's because of ad revenue it brings, it's win-win situation for both parties so why not?

I don't think he would reveal or even really know how much he has earnt from it until, as mostly he would have wasted all that on his beer or not something of an long term asset hence he is still doing the same even after the bull run. :(

But good find OP.

it seems that this person is very passionate about doing social media bounty reports, until now.
so he became the most shitposter to reach 6000+ within 2 years.

If a report by posting to the bounty thread is considered shitposting, why isn't it prohibited, or is there a rule about shitposting the bounty report?

why not use a spreadsheet as a place to collect reports so that they don't become shitposting and don't become trash in the bounty thread.

Now imagine many users like that reached Hero or even Legendary status before the Merit system. This guy would have been close to Legendary too if it wasn't for the 999 missing Merits.

I don't think theymos is that interested in revenue..

someone PM him . ... . .  how much BTC he has actually earned from all that effort
I considered it..

wasted all that on his beer
I surely wouldn't like my own beer tab calculated and presented to me.. Whew that could be frightening..

it seems that this person is very passionate about doing social media bounty reports
A pro..

why not use a spreadsheet as a place to collect reports so that they don't become shitposting and don't become trash in the bounty thread.
Public publishing is a good proof of events/POW, providing a public proof could keep him or any company from being scammed by eachother.. Or provide proof thereof..

Legendary status before the Merit system.
Not too many of them left are their?
"Legendary" shitposters are a dwindling subset..

According to his public address wich I found in his profile he has >
0.44 ETH worth like 74$ and bunch of tokens which sum up to little bit over 1000$.
If he used that time to learn a bit and post some meaningful posts here, could have made much more than this for 2 years but...
there are probably more addresses but..

He most likely could have. Users who take short cuts to profit from cryptocurrency will likely end up losing out in the knowledge and more profitable venture. In this case, there are usually other accounts involved and the effort is probably much more that is reflected in this.

I believe it depends on the user's introduction process. Some people are sold the idea that Bitcointalk is a key to unlocking in-depth knowledge about the technology, some other la are given the idea that it's a get rich quick website. The former usually increase their rank in the forum and can expand their knowledge, the latter will likely be shit posters that will be unable to properly manage their returns (Long term) even in a bull market.

;D The merit system is born to overcome what you are talking about. Personally, I think raising the rank with posts is not really bad, it's only bad when Bitcoin is rising and the shitposts are rampant on this forum. It's also bad with the case of the guy in topic  :D he's a genuine bounty hunter, all he does is posting activity reports in some campaigns LOL

https://etherscan.io/address/0x27457e296214F60b3Dc04e4F4b9e62f9EFba6623
It seems that he has been doing less activity recently, or maybe he's participating in fake projects, only a few altcoins have been sent within 60 days.

People take this place as a full time job spamming shaddy projects that have no future just to earn some dust. And some people are really serious about it 6000 posts for two years-this is almost 10 posts per day every day, think about it. There he got one meirt for his spamming effort.

Hello. Sorry if my English is bad, my native language is Russian (this is google translator).

Usually, I’m not used to such a great attention to myself, and besides, I’m an introvert, so now I feel a little awkward.

Yes, at first I tried to write some useful posts, and even opened the topic on the instrument that I use for the bounty, but it didn’t use popularity, and maybe I don’t know how to write correctly.
In addition, I am usually silent and observed than an active participant (yes, I'm an introvert).

Due to the large number of bounty reports, many projects require new posts for each campaign, so I have to fill them out as a separate post.
As for what you called “mega quotes”, what to do if such requirements? :)

In any case, thanks, I was pleased to receive my first Merit, albeit in this way.

I'm shocked :D

im a bit concern that the person is not getting what he/she deserve so i search for the person's post, discussion, that started
the guy 6000 post is almost a report of the campaign or post in alternate crypto currency , and only one topic started, to be honest
he's lucky he got some merit, but maybe he is just in to campaign in the first place thats why he join, but i think no need to spend time
to post about him, let him be and lets just concentrate good luck to us

I guess you don't get the topic here. The guy was the top shitposter with 6000+  posts without any merit. There was no other newbie with such high post count with 0 received merit. That's why I made the topic. Then people start giving him merit so he actually ranked up from newbie to Member. For some this was not right, but anyway, we was rewarded for being the top shitpoter.

Please newbies, don't take an example of the guy. This was the first and last case so no need to spam 6k+ posts just to earn merit, you won't. :)

Yeah, they might kill the fun and achieve 10k+ reports.
That would also kill the record I suppose. But all in all, it wouldn't be fun if there are so many cases like that around here. So its better to stay as a Rare Type.

I wonder what's the reaction of that user after getting Merits after 6000 worthless posts.

I'm shocked :D

I don't think bounty reports are spam..

I'm pretty curious to know how well you have been able to do earning from all these bounties.. It looks like you really put in a lot of work on them..

Would you care to share with us how well it has paid off and maybe some examples of ones that have really done well and some that have been complete wastes of time?

As a bounty manager, I can tell people were making a good fortune from bounties. As I said were , Time has changed since late 2018 when scam icos and ieos taking over good ones, and it becomes too difficult to find legit ones.

6000+ post with full of bounty report. I think bounty is only their income or maybe this guy is very happy in earning bounty and they are motivated to do bounty more.
I apreciate this guy about their work in earning bounty.

I have worked as a bounty manager and helper in the past and I would say he would have earned thousands of $$ if he would have done that in 2016-17 phase and holded them for a year but now it's really really hard to even make a 100$ with all the work he's been doing.

P.S. I was wondering what that guy would be thinking when he got merits all of a sudden..  :D
Glad he answered.

Your challenge of finding a person with a lot of posts and no posts in bounty section is hard too find.
There is no way any normal human can post so many non-bounty posts and still remain meritless.    :o

Wow this is so ridiculous, I was even blaming my self for making over 800+ post and am not even a full member rank, and few legendaries was even mocking me for making so much post and hardly got a full member rank.🤣

You should give thanks to OP.
It is ironic that when you mentioned here because of lack of merits, is the reason why your ranked up 2x higher than your past rank.

Anyway, I know that most of us here want to earn through bounty campaigns. I had been there too. But when I saw a daylight, it changed my principles. It will give you more opportunity when you fully understand everything in the forum, cryptocurrency and blockchains. You can share and learn more when you are active participant in forum.

I hope this thread will be a sign for you that you will need to improve more your posts, lessen some bounties and be active in real discussion of this forum. Don`t let anybody say, "from scratch to scratch" when time comes. Instead make this as your stepping stone to be a quality poster of this forum. I was once a scratch and I don`t want to be that forever.

I like to help people in, the one discussed in the OP was just an honest bounty hunter, didn't find any alts or anything and the guy from a newbie with 0 received merit and 6000+ posts manage to ran up to Member. I won't say that it's well deserved but again, at least he was TOP in something that is not harming the forum ( I haven't checked if he advertised any scam projects).

The other guy I posted a few days ago is another case.. see the previous comments.

it seems that this person is very passionate about doing social media bounty reports, until now.
so he became the most shitposter to reach 6000+ within 2 years.

If a report by posting to the bounty thread is considered shitposting, why isn't it prohibited, or is there a rule about shitposting the bounty report?

why not use a spreadsheet as a place to collect reports so that they don't become shitposting and don't become trash in the bounty thread.

I made a post about this: Which it goes by that all BM to handle any project they should use the form in making a report to their task just like what (bounty detective) are doing. This will so reduce having shit post of bounty reports on the forum. At least have seen who is more than me 😂😂🏃 I was obviously thinking am the worst shit poster because I so Much got involved in bounty.

if you had your other account getting ban then this one two could probably be ban since a ban user here does not allowed unless you will not tell and secretely create another account to continue whatsoever business you have here.

Well joining bounty now really bad. Most of the projects failed or scam. This is why those old school project way of collecting money.

There are better ways already than this and it has been observe here in our place. It is what we called networking. Still old school kind of scamming but an upgrade version using cryptocurrency, inviting users to join and invest then earn high commission rates from the invites. This kind of scamming will eventually stop and users will make a losses with their investment.

So this might work on those who like to earn. Just join a networking platform and then be the first to invite users to gain high commission rates being in the top.

Yes there are many of this users having this reasons. We may not able to believe on it somehow there could be really true to others. Since this is not only limited to only one user per family of having bitcointalk account. I myself shared this to the gang but they are not interested instead they had their own love in playing esports and other online games. For them, they will join this forum if I can earn a lot  but of course I told them that it is not only about earning for it is also about learning. Learning is fun.
