Title: Trezor BSV
Post by: vieveda on January 22, 2020, 09:44:24 PM
I can't find any support for bitcoin SV. Does anyone know if trezor said that they will make any support for bitcoin SV?

No, they don't support a coin backed by a fraudster, list of their supported coins https://trezor.io/coins/

And I can't see any announcements related to implementations of SV.

However, it is possible to use BSV in combination with ElectrumSV today, and by what can be read Trezor is provided temporary support for BSV in order to provide users a chance to split their coins. The BSV server service was shut down last September.

Trezor operated BSV servers were a temporary measure created for users to split their coins. After a prolonged period of scarce activity, we decided to terminate the server on the 9th of September.
You can still use BSV version of Electrum at (https://www.electrum-bsv.org/) with your Trezor still.
There are no further plans to facilitate the BSV wallet in our interface at this moment.
For further info, please, refer to this article: https://wiki.trezor.io/How_to_split_and_send_your_Bitcoin_Cash_forks
Thank you for your understanding.

Why is it a scam coin / 'backed by a fraudster'?

That will be a different discussion then.

Anyway, if you are not looking for a long-term storage solution, using Electrum would good enough. As long as you don't expose your seed or private key recklessly.
