Post by: unibitcoinist on January 23, 2020, 05:30:47 AM
I have been scammed by Google  :D

I wanted to go on electrum.org but with google search, I have gone another phishing site. Google has helped that phishing website to scam me, so, Google is the scammer here  ;D
How can I TAG google?

Maybe the Scam Accusations board with the proper Scam Report Format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0)?

You should report that to Google somehow if you can.

Unfortunately, Google's T&C no doubt "covers them" (at least legally) against your losses from listing a phishing site. If they are aware that it's a phishing site, and have intentionally left it there, then this is a different story. One that's quite similar to them removing torrent websites due to ISP requests: it's not illegal for them to have an illegal website listed on their search engine, but only to do so knowingly. In summary and to put it bluntly, you no doubt made an agreedment with Google that checking SSL certificates was/is your responsibility, not theirs.

You should report that to Google somehow if you can.

Report Phishing Page to Google (click on the padlock to the left of the url to check the ssl certificate):
https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en
SHA-256 Fingerprint   A7 3E 49 86 D4 0D AC B7 90 0D 3C DE EB AD 88 F8 7A 71 90 78 FD 5F AD 61 7D 7E 87 B5 80 DE FC E1
SHA-1 Fingerprint   EF F2 51 EB E4 5E B4 2D 91 2A 1A 05 7D 99 7B C6 A2 6D 38 9A

I forget these issues are still a problem for people on conventional browsers that don't warn you of phishing sites :-\
You should tag your web browser while your at it  :P

Are you serious LOL  ;D I think their algorithm only show results that best match your search, it cannot recognize phishing websites  ::) Although your story is true, it sounds like you're just kidding. How can you TAG something that doesn't exist in this forum  ;D ;D

Not much effect  :D Report phishing websites to Google is the best thing
