Title: How I Crypto
Post by: TimtheYoutuber on January 24, 2020, 06:23:43 PM
#HowICrypto

Have fun with it and hashtag #HowIcrypto where you use social media.

I use cryptocurrency every single day, I mostly use a middleman like Bitpay to process all of my transactions. So even though I might not be buying bread with USD, I used my Bitcoin to make the purchase. This makes it nice for me since I run my business in the crypto space, I can get paid from someone in China instantly and buy food at the store within 5 minutes. I love that about bitcoin, what about you?

The money that I am spending in my daily needs comes from here but I cannot say that I am using bitcoins daily because I am converting my bitcoins into fiat every sunday as my budget for the whole so I cannot say that I am using bitcoin in my daily life. Even if how much do I love to use bitcoin in my daily lives but still I cant because here in my country cryptocurrencies are not legal.

I love how swiftly we could transfer funds without any restrictions and questions asked.
There are too much things to provide to gamble with your money on traditional gambling site and crypto has made it quick and easy.
No mo Paypal, their fees or restrictions. I can easily ask my clients to pay in bitcoins and they happily do that.

Bitcoin saved me from having to pay the exorbitant fees when making  international transfer of funds  to my family back home. I also use Bitcoin and sometimes Ether and Litecoin to make mobile refills and buy gift cards. Using Bitrefill, it's instant and very convenient. I don't even remember the last time i refilled mobile credit using the local currency here  :D

Shouldn't hashtags be meaningful? HowICrypto doesn't even make sense.

How I cryptography? How I cryptocurrency? Which one is it, because neither makes any sense.

I think something like #CryptoUser is already quite popular, why not just use that? Are you trying to build another hashtag to market your business or what?

I got crypto and bitcoin on this forum, but I can't use it directly to buy something, because in my area crypto is still not very popular, so I had to convert it to fiat currency to be able to buy something here, in my area other than local currencies are not allowed as a means of payment.

What exactly that business of yours? just curious.  :)
Are you trying to build another hashtag to market your business or what?
Same question too.
Anyway, what I like about bitcoin. This is so far the best means of transfer that I've used ever since. Compared to the remittances, the fees are cheaper.

Same thing here, I even made a small business of it just using my local wallet/exchange here that refill mobile credits also can pay monthly bills.

Probably he's regarding the currency since its the used and common terms than crypto which is Cryptography.

People should have to see the difference between the subreddit r/crypto and r/cryptocurrency

I agree with DarkDays, rather than creating new hashtag for the same purpose we should try to post more on existing and popular hashtags.

There are not many people who use crypto in their daily life because most of them are investors not consumers. Lending and cross border payment are some of the successful financial space for crypto and i think we need to focus on that rather than daily use.

This is also what I love about Bitcoin. In the past, we should be dealing with the restrictions dictated by PayPal and we knew of many horrifying experiences by its users. With Bitcoin, we are given more freedom or leeway we never got from many service providers, though we have to admit that there are some "shortcomings" with Bitcoin too but this is still a work in progress so we are expecting more from it in the coming years. Right now, there are now many ways that Bitcoin is benefiting us and one that I am always emphasizing is that a person in any part of the globe can send the said digital asset anywhere fast and efficiently at less cost as compared to what the banking industry can provide.

I love how we could earn in crypto much more easier than a normal work how we don't need to go anywhere just to work and we also control our own time.
I also like how easily we could send BTC to almost all over the world and they could instantly receive it and it would only cost a small amount.

I use Bitcoin mostly on prepaid loads and buying game credits. I use a third wallet app for buying what I want. Of course I don't put everything in it, just what I needed. Since Bitcoin is popular here, I also Pay my bills using that app with Bitcoin which is super convenient considering that I don't have to fall in line just to pay everything that I need to pay. Also, sometimes buy some foods and other things using Bitcoin.

it's really fun to hear stories about how you can use bitcoin in everyday life. but unfortunately bitcoin cannot be used in general here. bitcoin is only used as an individual asset / investment, and there are only local cryptocurrency exchanges. every time I want to buy or pay a bill, I have to convert cryptos to legal currencies here to use. the pleasure of being you.

I can also say that some of my income is from cryptocurrency especially on bitcoin. In our country, there's some store that already accepts bitcoin that's why we don't need to convert it in our fiat currency (PHP) before we pay our bills. Until now some of the people still don't know what bitcoin is and they don't even know how they going to use it that's why we still need to spread all things about it until we see the massive adoption. However, for me, I rather spent our currency than using valuable cryptocurrency in my daily needs. Lastly, maybe we should wait for the future where all of us will use cryptocurrency and many people will truly understand all things about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

I am nowhere close to using Bitcoin for every day purchases. I make a transaction here an there but I am more of a holder than spender on basic things. My country isn't exactly crypto-friendly and Bitcoin isn't that popular as a payment method. I will need a new computer monitor soon as the one I am using now is way past its prime. That is going to be future a Bitcoin purchase.

His idea was to remove all the "middlemen" and make Bitcoin/blockchain a truly peer-to-peer environment. Now everything in the crypto world is all about middlemen-crypto exchange platfroms, online wallets, mixers, etc.
I don't get the point of your post, are you trying to promote Bitpay or something?

great in your country there is no prohibition to pay for something with bitcoin, in my country it is not permissible to use bitcoin as a means of payment, but I can buy things online with bitcoin also gives me the convenience of making money transfers to my friends out there without having to bypassing the BANK and taking care of something troublesome, I can do transactions without an offline schedule always nonstop transactions with bitcoin that's the advantage

Bitcoin and crypto in general helped me a lot within these past 2 years.

Since I joined here, I already earned a lot from bounty campaigns and because of campaigns I bought my dream phone which is the one I'm using right now. Unfortunately, I stopped participating on Bounty campaigns already (altcoins) since I see that it is not profitable anymore.

Now I focused on my current signature campaign and I'm already here for almost 2 years. It helped me a lot since I have to cover some of my monthly expenses and I can give some money to my family and siblings thru converting my Bitcoin to fiat. I'm able to bought my own computer too last month with the help of my current signature campaign. Thanks to them and to Bitcoin and this forum :)

Different person, different users, different places have their own uses of the cryptocurrency since we don't have the same legality of the coin luckily i'm living in a country on where cryptocurrency is not prohibited and also there are some local services in my country on where we can easily convert cryptocurrency to our local currency and use it to pay bills, transfer to banks, withdraw to remittances, convert to load, game account, etc.

So I may say cryptocurrency specially Bitcoin is very convenient for us.

I think you are entitled and free to use the bitcoin in your wallet for any purpose. You can still use some of your bitcoin to buy goods in places where your country cannot limit transactions with existing regulations. Regulations are made and only apply to transactions made within the jurisdiction of the country itself and not to transactions between countries, IMO.

Sample case:
I want to buy a laptop that I like that comes from China. Service providers accept bitcoin as a tool to pay for their goods, then I pay and items are sent. Transactions that occur with payment instruments are bitcoin.

The question is, can my country forbid not to do this transaction because the country has made a regulation that bitcoin is not a legal payment and can I be said to be someone who breaks the law ?

Many things I do with Bitcoin, like in the case of buying other goods at an online store that already accepts Bitcoin, because using Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency is very easy for me to make payment transactions, but I only shop using Bitcoin that I really need, not to buying things that are not important, because if shopping for non-essential items is using Bitcoin, I think that is a big mistake in my life, because in my opinion Bitcoin is the best asset in the future.

Simply proves how profitable cryptos are, especially before when the market value are still at its peak unlike at this moment wherein it has jist started to recover from continuous market downfall before. The scenario affected the profit that most of the people here are earning. Many investments turned into loss and many signature campaigns turned out to be a waste of time. Since we are seeing recovery, hope it will again be as profitable or more profitable.

Yeah, same as me, I only use bitcoin in activities in cyberspace, the rest I use fiat. Bitcoin still has a lot of restrictions in every country, even in my country people only look at bitcoin when the price went up a few years ago, maybe more don't know it yet. This is also because there is no support from the government so there is no more attention from the public in looking at bitcoin. But for me bitcoin has helped and I'm sure bitcoin is able to develop slowly like 10 years ago when it was new.

After that, I am going to sell that investment if the value of it is higher than I have bought it so that I will be able to gain income in terms of trading it.

Wow, this is very encouraging. And you're not overpaying by using BTC instead of fiat? Or perhaps you do pay significantly more, but you are alright with such sacrifices for the greater good of promoting Bitcoin?
Also, perhaps you could give some advice on how to use Bitcoin every day to pay for regular stuff? The only things I saw were very distant from what I usually buy, and I did not feel like wasting money on something I don't need for the sake of spending BTC.

I crypto by holding Bitcoin and trading altcoin. I don't pay with cryptocurrencies because I don't have many options to do it besides maybe buying gift cards. I do it once every few weeks but I prefer to spend fiat and hold crypto.

many have already used bitcoin as a payment tool, but it seems that the two partners above did not do so and replaced it with fiat for payment transactions. just do it in crypto to make transactions with bitcoin.
my country of bitcoin is not recognized as a valid payment instrument, so it is only fair to say that your country has no problems.
but the prohibition of bitcoin transactions is not prohibited, as long as it is required to transact first it must be fiat first.

Marketplaces which are created on blockchain technology use bitcoins as their payment method but not much of the stores are accepting bitcoins as a payment source. There are very few countries doing so and hence it does not allow each of us here to transact with bitcoins to buy any commodity.

We can ofcourse use bitcoins for online shopping as we can see a number of online stores accepting cryptocurrency payments and it is only possible due to various payment gateways who accept cryptocurrencies like coinspayment, etc. We need more awareness about bitcoins so that peoples could also start accepting bitcoins locally with the lightening networks.

It's very encouraging to see Users here using Bitcoin for all their daily needs. As my salary every month is also paid in Bitcoin, I technically too buy all my daily stuff with Crypto as well. The only thing is I don't want to be all over the internet saying what I a doing in order not to attract too much attention from hackers. Social media is a double-edged sword really and after having so much harassment and bullying on Youtube and telegram, I prefer to be a little more low key now. Anyway in my country, they are so behind, I have to mainly exchange to Fiat before I buy anything locally, which is a shame really.

It is not just a fun thing to hear but it is an encouraging result that Bitcoin gives back to us. Unfortunately, not all of us having that opportunity by then for some reasons and inclusions. We are lucky enough having crypto in our life and being part of its long journey. People make money from here and a source of income.

Crypto adoption had continued and as we go farther many things have changed and many people realize the good deads that Bitcoin/crypto leading to a better future. And we are able to see that more establishments will accept Bitcoin in regular transactions.

This makes it nice for me since I run my business in the crypto space, I can get paid from someone in China instantly and buy food at the store within 5 minutes. I love that about bitcoin, what about you?
Wow, this is very encouraging. And you're not overpaying by using BTC instead of fiat? Or perhaps you do pay significantly more, but you are alright with such sacrifices for the greater good of promoting Bitcoin?
Also, perhaps you could give some advice on how to use Bitcoin every day to pay for regular stuff? The only things I saw were very distant from what I usually buy, and I did not feel like wasting money on something I don't need for the sake of spending BTC.

Bitpay converts using the spot price. So at the time you buy, you are paying the same as if you had bought in fiat.

Of course if the price of bitcoin then goes up, you have overpaid. But if it goes down, you underpaid.

When I trade or invest I always use bitcoin and other altcoins, but when I want to buy for home purposes I can't pay using bitcoin and altcoin, I still have to convert to fiat so I can buy the things I want to buy.
In every different country that accepts bitcoin in payments there is also a prohibition on it.

We have the same problem. Here if I trade I am frequently using bitcoin because for me it is the most profitable and trusted coin. But I cant use it outside the crypto world because here in my country there are no stores or any other business establishments who uses cryptocurrency as a mode of payment and only few citizens here in my country knows about crypto world.

You guys can buy real estate with Bitcoin. There are 3 ways to do it.
1. look for property you can buy for bitcoin. Sometimes people use the word Bitcoin to promote their offers but those are often luxury apartments.
2. Ask for the owner to accept Bitcoin. Say that you'll buy if he sets up an exchange account and accepts cryptocurrency. Some people will go for it.
3. You can work with an attourney or a notary to act as escrow. You will send crypto to that person and they will confirm to the buyer that the payment has been made. Then the escrow will sell cryptocurrency and release the payment when everything is signed.
It's a lot of work but it's possible.

Cryptocurrency is a border-less pay that happens almost immediately at a very low fee. This is why the banks are angry of the degree of freedom this brings and they fear they will lose good fund in the area of fees. Dump the banks now.

How I cryptography? How I cryptocurrency? Which one is it, because neither makes any sense.

I think something like #CryptoUser is already quite popular, why not just use that? Are you trying to build another hashtag to market your business or what?
Agreed, the hashtag should add some value or give it some meaning. As stated it doesn't make any sense, even if the same is being created for personal business promotion then that too doesn't look meaningful. I think he could've chosen this on a random manner. It is must to have the objective behind every hashtag that's been created.

#Cryptouser would be amazing and easy to understand!

I am using bitcoin like OP for daily lives, like buying food in an online store and buying things at lazada or shopee, They are not accepting bitcoin, but you can pay bitcoin, which they will convert it into PHP(our currency) in an instant. Sharing these kinds of experience in social media and using one hashtag will benefit us so we can see how we can use bitcoin on a daily basis. I would love to use the #Cryptouser, considering that it would be much easier to use and see.

This falls to the concept of buying locally made goods in your country, because basically supporting what you own will make your economy grow, so in bitcoin, if mass adoption occurs, market cap will be affected to hard, but to consider its effect, I see that it will return negatively to the side of currency we mostly use. Economy needs to be balanced, if we are to choose bitcoin in our ways and transactions, we should take into consideration that our fiats would be somehow affected by decrease in value.

That's the goodness of crypto, we can store our assets in our wallets, we can operate it  as much as we want, no hassle, it's really convenient on our part, compare when the banks handling our fund and if you want to withdraw there's always a limit, at least now we can do what we want.

I am glad to see someone enjoying the technology even if there is a middleman.
That is what I am trying to explain with my colleagues.
Even though I don't directly use bitcoin in my transactions it still came from earning bitcoin.

Can you do that with gold or silver?
You will need someone first to buy that physical gold which a lot of times is being cut to half of what the real price should be.
Because of the different exchange that opened up a portal for our bitcoin conversion it became reality to us.
I pay my bills using bitcoin.

Since only few merchants here are accepting bitcoin as payment I cant spend it directly without using third party.

Thus I have to use our local wallet to be able to use it for spending like loading our mobile phone.

Currently I refrain myself from spending my btc, im saving while I had a chance and a budget to buy.

A lot of advanced platforms have made it easy for us to in-cash bitcoins directly in our native currency in just a few clicks so it does not matter if we can't pay directly to the commodity we wish to buy but indirectly bitcoins handle each such expense for us.

I am constantly surviving my financial situation only with the help of bitcoins and I am great full in saying so because until now I never faced any problem to cashout my bitcoins any time. Bitcoins are a great mean of payment and we do not really need stores accepting bitcoins as we can easily convert our bitcoins into cash and use them anywhere anytime. I personally pay each of my utility bills from the money/profits I get from bitcoins.

I'm also earning my living thru the work online paid directly to my bitcoin wallet (no tokens and no online wallets, yuck). But i do not exchange it for fiat. The fiat in my country is the worst of the planet, when you live in hyperinflation (and access to foreign currencies is restricted) you do not want to keep any of that money (it loses a lot of value every day), but you still need it to purchase things to live.

So, only when the time comes to buy something, and for the approximate amount needed you exchange just that and leave the rest in the wallet as bitcoin savings. So its like a slower version of a payment processor, however the fees are much lower too. Oh the exchanged money in fiat is used electronically too, usually by debit card. Banknotes are very hard to come by, and when they do their purchasing power is minuscule anyway. So think of it like using bitcoin to fill your prepaid card in fiat. Except you get to choose who do you sell it to and for how much (not the payment processor).

The money that comes from, i don't know, people losing their gambling bets? is used to buy food and pay bills here.

At the moment, you have to convert your cryptocurrency to fiat money, but this is not a problem. I think that a couple of years will pass and for converting to fiat it will not be necessary to carry out any unnecessary actions at all. And after another ten years, we will forget about what cash is in general.

For now, I prefer to convert my crypto to fiat money because that is the only way that I can do to buy something here. If the cryptocurrency becomes legal in my country, and I can see many local stores that accept cryptocurrency, maybe I will try to buy my daily needs with crypto. But I don't want to use bitcoin because bitcoin for me is too worth, and I want to save and hold it for a long time. I prefer to use the altcoin to pay something than to use bitcoin because bitcoin is like an investment for me, and I am sure that in the future, the bitcoin price will be increased so high.

Cryptocurrency helps me to sustain my financial needs. Well, not just me but of course my family because I'm a student and my money before comes from my parents. When I learn to use bitcoin I can reduce their expenses because I have my own source of income to support myself. One of the fastest-growing today is the payment of crytocurrency, but we need to talk about what cryptocurrency is. It is a digital money the same into the fiat currency that is converted into digital currency, so most of the transactions happening with this is through online nowadays many people now are trying to make more investments and earning with this also we can transfer some funds with the help of crypto because it is faster and less transaction fee many people caught their attention with this and use it. Now many people use this as a payment to the employee, but some of them are freelancers because cryptocurrency is volatile; if the market price goes up there is a chance you will get a profit with that payment.

That's good if using cryptocurrency every day provides many benefits in your business, especially if it can be done across countries without the need to think about fiat exchanges etc. Although I get money from cryptocurrency, I have never used it directly to meet my needs, because it is not very effective for me, my use is on a small scale so that fiat is more effective. I am sure that one day there will be developments where the use of cryptocurrency will also be more effective if this adoption becomes more widespread.

Imagine that no paper money will occur in transaction just only cryptocurrency and digital money. It is more hassle free right?

I use crypto mostly for my investments alone since it is not yet regulated here in our country and there's a very few number of people and stores who would accept it as a mode of payment. Crypto has always been a security for my future since I believe that sooner or later, all of us will be using it all over the world. It somehow supports me in paying my expenditures in our house and in my academic needs. I can see it as a very beneficial investment amidst hearing all the negative news about it that's why I will keep on supporting it and patronizing it up until the future.

Back into those early years when Steam is still accepting Bitcoin on purchasing steam wallet codes then i do actively make use of my coins to buy one but they had removed it and now
i cant see anything on where i could make use of my coins but honestly im not really that too interested on spending it but rather accumulating as much as i could since we know
the potential is something clear in near future where it could possibly make some profits on just simply holding thats why whenever i do tend to buy then i do purchase it out
on casual way where you could simply pay with fiat.
