Hello friends as we know bitcoin halving will be held in May 2020. Most of the people excited about the increase in price of bitcoin. I am one of them.

What do you think? The price of bitcoin will be $15,000 after halving in May 2020 or less than it? Share your opinion


 

i think it will dump because i studied about it that before halving 2 months the bitcoin price had increase by 20-40% From the current rate and then its dump so i think this is the best time to buy and after that halving that will be the best to to buy again.

Bitcoin price will drop after halving . Most times halving hype would have priced in Bitcoin prior to the halving. So there won't be any serious price movement after halving. The real deal is before halving.

I only see based on the history of halving, when halving occurs after that there is not even a significant movement, prices tend to be more stable and experience a slight down and up as usual. but precisely the increase occurred after a few hundred days after halving happened like the first halving which needed 369 days then the second halving needed 526 days. my prediction might be that the peak will increase in 2021. But it's likely there will be different at halving 2020 because I see a hype that is so big that it is very possible that there will be an increase before and after halving occurs, maybe it was just fomo and fud created.

All we know that bitcoin already hit more than $15000 last 2017 so there is a big possibilities that it may hit more that $15000 again. But no one knows when and how much will bitcoin will increase but the best thing that we need to do is have more patience and invest to hold more bitcoin and wait for the halving and bullrun.

it looks like we need prices just above $ 10k before halving, at least we can see prices in the future will be higher than you expect, the bullish market has come but they are running slowly now like never before, the whale game still in the market does look normal, so just ignore if there is a price dump because it doesn't seem like a scary price dump like before, so just watch in the near future hopefully it touches above $ 10k

Halving should affect the price of bitcoin. But it is very difficult to guess which way its price will change. There are many supporters that the price will decrease because the miners will stop supporting the network. But I think that the price will slowly rise to the level that is a record for bitcoin.

My prediction is that bitcoin will rise after halving occurs and there bitcoin will increase well and grow by itself, look at the current market movements bitcoin tends to be stable and still under correction and right to buy don't wait until bitcoin is pumped back.
Halving will be a mainstay for those for bitcoin wanting to go up high even $ 15,000 will be very easy to redeem na.

I don't set a high target for bitcoin, I just need it to be stable and not crash too much, it has been a success for bitcoin and this entire market this year. The price of bitcoin is falling after the price hike in the past few weeks, and there is much risk of going below $ 7500 if the current price is broken.So i just hope the price of Bitcoin can trade above $ 10,000 in May, it may be a viable target for the current market situation.

Halving should affect Bitcoin price. But it is very difficult to guess which way it will change. The price is likely to be above $10,000, but it won't be more than $15,000.

The price of Bitcoin will definitely increase as the block reward reduces the price has to be profitable for the miners which I believe should be over 9 or 10k at least but the price will not increase in few months it will take over the course of 10 to 12 months to reach its peak which should be above 18k

We don't know at halving this year whether bitcoin will soar before or after because it's unpredictable because it's difficult the market is uncertain in what direction it will go.
But certainly Bitcoin will immediately touch the price of $ 10k in the near future and that happens before halving let's see what happens because that's my opinion about bitcoin ahead of halving.

I think it's just an over rated thing. Nothing will happen because of coin halving. There are already tens of thread here which discussing impact of halving on price. It's too much man just relax n wait.

I agree with you jazmuzika217 because demand and supply is a very big factor. Bitcoin is mother of cryptocurrencies and it touched more than $19500 in past. Add more if we have to buy any other crypto like altcoin we need btc specially in my county if I have btc i can buy other crypto I can't buy with fiat or credit or debit cards due to the restrictions by the government and still in most of countries bitcoin isn't regulated therefore bitcoin's price will be increase after halving.

Too many people bet their money on the price to be above 15 and they will be the ones to panic and withdraw when it doesn't happen.

A true believer doesn't care or invests not expecting anything big to happen and stays calm. We need people like that and we need slow and stable progress not a hype that will get us to 20 thousand and then back to 6 because people got scared again. Bet low, expect 10 thousand and you won't be disappointed like those selling their houses and hoping for 15.

I agree with you I also predict the price of bitcoin will reach $ 15k after being reduced by half in May. I don't expect bitcoin to increase too high as in 2017. because the current state of the bitcoin market with 2017 is very different. then we must be prepared mentally if it turns out that after bitcoin halving bitcoin does not increase. all possibilities can occur up or down the price of bitcoin we must be prepared to accept it.

Not a bad guess but too expected as well, any time the market expects something to happen in any proportion then it anticipates that possibility and it appears in the price beforehand.   I think the price could stall to some extent for the second half of 2020 but Im not going to call it negative especially,
   The running average price for the whole of 2019 price action was only 7491 because it includes all those measly prices to begin with and the top prices didnt last that long so its very average.  2020 is starting at a higher point and like I say I see no reason to get too negative in estimations but I will say only about 10,000 for a similar price action average for the whole of 2020.    So people might disagree and say I'm not giving enough credit but I'm only trying to give a boring very long term view here and it excludes spikes so year on year we remain bullish for 2020 and its rising overall slowly.
 
So far as halvening day itself, I think i gave my guess on this in another list and it was $11,600 I said and I wont say much different now.   We seem to be positive enough for that to happen, briefly I thought we might even speed up there in the next week but market orders chopped off the top prices with selling and it can be another few months.

in my opinion and what has happened before bitcoin will increase in value but not reach $ 15,000.
maybe above $ 12,000. because I personally do not really expect a significant increase because as already there will be a deep correction when there is a very rapid increase.

If you see a price decrease after the bitcoin halving then expect that there's a price surge that's going to happen but if there's no way it is happening then your thought about of the bitcoin halving is wrong. Bitcoin halving in the past do tells that it needs more time before the real bull market starts.

There's possibility for the price to spike after the halving as we can see in the previous halving, however we can't predict the future, we all know that the're so many factors that could afect the price, those who holding ton of bitcoins have control over the price, bad news or acident like hacking could make people panic and drive the price down, we just don't know what will happen in the future.

We have talked about this long and hard by now, everyone gave their opinions on what will happen and honestly the reality is that if people think bitcoin will go up, it will go up. Do not forget that the only thing that makes bitcoin go up is people buying it more than they sell it, if there is a lot of fiat going in to buy bitcoin but not same amount going out, that means price will go up, there is no sales, no debt, no profits, no constitutional ownership, this is not a stock of a company, if you buy bitcoin you increase the price.

So, if people think halving will cause the price to go up and buy it, they will directly cause it to go up anyway. If we are going to discuss affects of halving on miners, sure they will lose some profits but it doesn't need to be $15k to make up for it, even $10k is more than enough for then to make a good profit.

it's likely that bitcoin will increase after being reduced by half. but no one knows for sure how much increase can be achieved by bitcoin after halving. we just guess and everyone has different speculations. I think after halving the price that bitcoin can achieve is $ 13,000. and in my opinion maybe the price of $ 15,000 can be achieved in 2021.

Bullish is what most people are thinking now, $15k is much reachable if halving will have a positive response from the community. However, the price still remains puzzled for everyone for we know the fact that it will moves somewhere else and nobody knows where.

if the market will pump a few weeks before halving, it was bright to see that bullish will not be going far from happening again (IMO).

Bitcoin halving always was a big event in crypto history. Last two halving was great and the price increased by a thousand percent! So, we may hope the upcoming halving will be great too, and the Bitcoin price will see a bullish run. But this time no one can ensure about it. Because there is a possibility to see price dump too. I strongly believe Bitcoin price will hit its new high zone, and that will be after halving. Before halving, I expect Bitcoin price will reach to 10-12K USD, not 15K!

I think it can reach that price. Because hype from halving really can make people think to buy bitcoin before it is too late. That is why  in last halving price of bitcoin can pumped so high. But for only $15000, i think it still can be reached.

That's right, because things like that can affect the movement of bitcoin which can change the situation suddenly, and we have to realize every year there are always different cases or problems that can affect the movements of bitcoin and we don't know what will happen in the year -next year.
but I am optimistic that after reducing it to two the price of bitcoin will increase and be much better than the current price, and hopefully in accordance with everyone's expectations and predictions.

Well hypes is the one that bring them here in the first place, and I bet they will be the first to get away having nothing but a false hope. As much as I wanted to hoard btc, I rather keep holding for a certain quota something I can afford when things turns the opposite (I am not saying that people must act like me though) 'cause I still do consider some allegations that we won't be seeing any bullrun. However people especially those who just follow up the mainstream, imo, will get screwed since bullrun triggers after a year then.

Unpredictable, can't say where btc might land yet but I think $15,000 isn't far either and somehow didn't even need halving as catalyst to reach that point since last November 2019, we even almost had it reached in short span of time. However, there are some shady reasons behind to that like just a manipulation of whales, unfortunately.
