Mew refers to myetherwallet where we can get Eth address,private key,keystore file and so on. Here Eth/ERC-20 address is the most important part to ensure one's rewards,payment and make transactions or exchange with each other. In near past,we can easily open a wallet by typing this-https://vintage.myetherwallet.com where we can get private key easily. Also by doing copy-paste of private key we are easily access mew wallet. But now, that site- https://vintage.myetherwallet.com is automatically generated to this site- https://www.myetherwallet.com/ without my permission which is very disgustful. By entering this generated site,it doesn't show private key in front page where previous site- https://vintage.myetherwallet.com is shown private key perfectly.
 

the current version of myetherwallet is pretty good and yes, we can still access privatekey with third-party applications metamask, mewcx, dapper and this is in my opinion better because with this feature maybe scammers who always make phishing sites that resemble myetherwallet stop, so this version I think is far better.

The previous previous versions was the best off them all. This new versions of MyEtherwallet are just awful and I won't use them...looks to much for me ...I don't need fancy interface..I just need a good healthy easy using interface that points you in the right direction since you enter the website. The new interface will not last long ...I do hope at least they will go back to the old version where people were at least happy.

I believe that the version - Vintage was a transitional opportunity for users to switch to an updated platform. I myself got used to the old version of the site, but since everything is changing and improving, we need to keep up with these changes. So I think that nothing bad happened, you just need to start using the updated version of the site and you’re more used to it.

I've used MEW many years ago... and today.
Honestly, I didn't find what I was looking for and I'll probably try another wallet.
The old version I remember was more straightforward.

Edit 2020-01-27: Today I had a second look on MEW. I've finally found what I needed. So it does have all the expected functionality. (However, I still don't like its new design/structure).

I'm not sure what your issue really is. MEW simply added new ways to create/access wallet.

Did you not save the private key of your old wallet somewhere? MEW did gave a notice before that they will discontinue the vintage mew. You have an ample time to simply copy the private key and stored it somewhere safe. If you did that, you would not have any issue now accessing your old wallet.

If the above wasn't the case and you simply want the convenience of having to view your PK quickly, the best option perhaps is to create a wallet by Keystore File. It requires more step but you should be able to see your PK using that method.

I also hate the new version. I won't even login to my account anymore. I haven't done so for some of my accounts where I have more altcoins there. I notice we now have to give the privatekey instead while during that time we can only put our password and the keystore file and then you can already the coins.  Also I hate they they load all the ERC instead of just the only coins inside your wallet.

All these new features they are adding to their platform is to improve security on it, how many people have fall into the hands of scammers, there are malware that harvest people's Private keys when you use MEW, this is why there many many functions there now to be able to protect you from phishing and many other attacks.

I think this new myetherwallet interface and new changed is best for me.Maybe the old version was weak enough thats why they decided to move to new. In my view new mew is quite good for me.       

honestly I prefer the old version of Myetherwallet, on the one hand it looks simple and also not confusing to mengaskesnya. but Myetherwallet now looks fancy and it's quite confusing when I want to use it. for me the most important thing is wallet security.

actually, on the current version there is still the feature that you are talking about but for me i like the current UI for myetherwallet because it's very stylish

MyEtherwallet current version is looking gorgeous interface, added a lot of new features individually. But i am not familiar in this current version, so still i comfortable to use old version and i will go with vintage link.

I remember the first day i could not find out where i will import private key. I think new version is too difficult for newbies also. Old is gold i missed this interface. But this version focused in the users safety.         

Straight up yes, the older site is way better than this new look that get me confuse presently, when there is an update from old to new, it should be along same part but with more advanced options but in this case I can't really say the same, for this reason am looking for an alternative eth wallet, myetherwallet has let me down.

Everything is our angle view. Do you use any others wallet? You are just used to it and now can't change it after long time visit. Always to add new improvement in any site, older layout should change which we can't easily accept. After next update you would like the older one.

at first it was very confusing for users who used to access the old MEW, but it looks like it's the same ... even better now (new version). The new MEW does not ask us to save the private key, because maybe most scammers can access our wallet through the theft of our private key. believe me, MEW is only trying to make its users safer and more comfortable.

I don't think so. This new version must be better, must have some additional features that would make it more secure and convenient for the user. But to be honest, I am more comfortable using the old version, the one which I grew to appreciate and find easy to navigate. It was very simply, the old MEW. Now, there are many features that I am not familiar with anymore.

The previous site in my point of view was far much simpler and easy to understand by a noob too. It now takes special skills to go through the home page. I got confused at first when I saw the new page for the first time.

When they upgraded it I find it hard to do the usual process of creating an eth address. So for me, I like the old version which good thing is they not yet abolish and still desktop users are able to use it cause they have a click bait to use the old version. The only thing I like is their MEW app which closely same with Imtoken which is quite useful.

Disgustful or your just too lazy enough? It doesnt cost you an arm and leg to have that 4 clicks before you can go to that private key input.

New version of MEW is better yet it do adds up more options on how you gonna access your wallet.Back in the past it do only need PK
but now there were lots of several options including even you do access it on your hardware wallet which is pretty great.

Just deal and get used to the new version because it is clean and do have some more features.

this is what i also notice before , after they release the new version of mew  . its hard to navigate the login page or the page where you can import your private keys but even before  , mew does not recomend a private key but instead they suggest other options  . i think is also the reason why they hide the private key option so that new users will try other methods to access thier accounts    .  anyway , have you tried thier mobile app  ?  maybe that is more easier to use  .

Shit happens, Myetherwallet is not the only one that used to have issue from future updates, coinomi wallet did the same from time to time and sometimes older version performs better than newer upgrades, I think you should have patience or switch to other wallet till they role out another version of myetherwallet

I used to like the old version of myetherwallet so simple and easily to navigate the tools you needed. I would like to know for those you downloaded the APP version, can you also connect your Mnemonic Phrase from the Device App to the web App?

True, old version is very easy but lack of security issues new version is safest for all of the users. For many years, we use of old version so now seems to be difficult and confusing to use at the new version. We need to keep mind about safety than others issues.

No, the present version is far better than previous, it is more secure too! Though the first time it looks difficult to understand, but when you spend time and explore the new interface, then I am sure your mind will be changed. At first, I thought the previous version was easy, but now I love the new version!

Same thoughts on first glimpse on the new interface of MEW.It might look complicated but it isnt really hard to understand even if you dont have that much technical skills or knowledge.

I do just missed out the old simple interface where you do simply put up your PK and your good to go but now on the current update you do have lots of options on where you can access
your MEW wallet.

I can say that this new one is much more better.

It's not too complicated but I can see that they now have a password which encrypts your private key and no option to copy down your private key. You only have a password and keystore file which is sad as sometimes users need two things to access their wallet. The old one was like spoon feeding but still better. However, I am happy with their app making it more safe to access the wallet.

Yes, the previous version was far better than the current UI. The vintage version was very easy for everyone, even after the new version, people kept using the old version of MEW, because the recent version seems difficult! That's why Myetherwallet is losing many members because many people like me migrated into Trust wallet or metamask! The new interface of MEW and MEW connect seems confusing to many people!

I was always surprised how convenient the site became with every update. The flat design that is being used now gives me special visual pleasure.
Ergonomics and the user experience that I get from the site is always positive. I liked the previous version much less than the current one, which eliminated many shortcomings and improved a number of things.

Still, the technology of user interfaces is developing and, accordingly, site developers will keep up with the times trying to improve the user experience to the maximum.

I agree. In the first time I try the new version it seems very simple and plain but it's more secure than the previous one. The interface is confusing at first but they will familiar if they will always use it. The updated version will always better because the shortcomings with the previous version got fixed and more security and environment.

I dont see for it to be secure compared the older one but the new UI/UX is entirely on different feels and when it comes to accessibility then its way more better than the older one.

Its been a while when i dont tend to check out my wallets and when i do cameback to have some checks then this new or updated sites is way more better.

I dont know for some but most of people do say positive things towards such change.

I believe MEW developers does not focus enough on the GUI part on the new version but most importantly on the upgrade Im sure its focused on a more secure settings to protect our ethereum assets from unknown intruders as of now I can easily use MEW whenever I need it to send eth or tokens to anyone, nothing is wrong.   

I hate to say but I agree. It's not that I dont understand the process but using the vintage one is much simpler. I only like the part where there is an app now for mew but still I find useful those new wallet app such as trust wallet, imtoken, and enjin wallet. I am fond of using mew before but since of this upgrade I just stick to the new ones Ive mentioned. The only thing will be compared here is security which I think not an issue as trust wallet is very safe.

I also preferred the old version, When i recently login with my wallet it is really confusing and difficult to use because your not familiar with it.
but still recommend for everyone to use myetherwallet for storing there altcoins it is safe. Try to use Trustwallet and connect your old account by entering your private key.

   I felt the same way in the beginning, but after some time I think I like new version more than old one! I added
MEW CX too, and it's great extension, now you can check wallet easier, and you can open a wallet just with password,
so I am using that extension from recently.
   If you didn't try MEW CX I suggest you to do so, it's similar with MetaMask, so if you know that extension you will
be just alright with MEW CX.

I agree, bro, because in this version it looks more difficult because of the third party let alone the first one to make it, but with the current version, I think the system from MEW will be tighter and safer though confusing but it's better than before

I think maybe the current version is better than before, because previously making MEW wallet is very easy and maybe it can be hacked, but at the current version of MEW it seems much more effective because there is a third party, to better secure personal data.

I still prefer previous version of myetherwallet.But now i can't use it because when i try to enter the old site, it automatically goes to new site.When they developed the new site of myetherwallet, then you could still choose old myetherwallet.So it wasn’t bothering me back then.But now you can't do this now.But i think it is a just a habit.If you use new  my etherwallet for long time, you will like the new version .

I have been using web version of myetherwallet for more than 3 years and I am comfortable with old and new version. The only difference is, with old version they were not altering when I try to access my eth and tokens using privatekey but now it keeps warning about "possible threats" on using privatekey on browser. This lead me to start using their mobile version.

Until some 2 months back, I was comfortable with their android mobile version but suddenly they showed a new version and when I opted to update, it went installing as a new app and I am still having old version as well. It is a strange way of updating an android app (usually when we update same app will get upgraded to new version but leading to have 2 apps, this is first time I am experiencing).

The wallet I have been using is "MEWconnect" but update led me to have another app namely "MEW wallet".

Anyone here using MEW's mobile version? They officially updated/released a new version in last 2/3 months? Any input will be helpful. Thanks for your time :).

I agree to someone like me who is still a beginner. The newest program from MEW is really very confusing, because I haven't checked this wallet in a long time and after that I want to make my wallet more confused and well inevitably I have to find information or videos to understand it. but it seems now security is very guaranteed maybe.
