Can Bitcoin Price Hit $424,000 Sometime in Late 2021?

Based on historical data, when the 20MA is acting as support for BTC price, Bitcoin has tended to be in an extended bull market. Conversely, the times that 20MA has acted as resistance against the upward movement in Bitcoin price, have been during bear markets....

...Gains in the last cycle were around 5,000% and occurred 97 weeks after the 20MA first held as support. Mimicking this exactly gives a bitcoin price of $424k, happening sometime in November 2021.
...

...He also thinks that the market cycles are lengthening. Specifically that the time between the halving and the peak has been getting longer.

After the first halving, the peak came after around 52 weeks. However, after the second halving, this period increased to 73 weeks. Cowen, therefore, suggests that the peak following this year’s halving may take longer still, with a potential peak not occurring until 2022.

Still, that would give us a $125k Bitcoin price sometime in early 2022, which is certainly not to be sniffed at… if we can stay above the 20MA as support.

These articles are always so interesting, inspiring. The prospect of a lucrative future! How could anyone want to deny it. And the moving averages and the technical analysis makes such good fact to support the theories.

Here's the rub...
  • These predictions pop up every year, especially with a halving on the horizon, yet they never come true
  • Moving averages and technical analysis is less and less reliable the greater the length of the look back, i.e., the last week of price is a better predictor of the next week of price than the last 20 weeks moving average will predict the next 20 weeks of moving average

It's fun to talk about. Certainly hodl on. Just don't get your hopes up. When $424k is in our sights, we'll be sitting at $400k....not $10k.

a lot of people's expectations about 2021 that the price of bitcoin will take the highest price and reach ATH in the next year, but back to all those who hold bitcoin now, do they only hold it, give a little time to introduce bitcoin to people around you, at least it can help bitcoin and the crypto market continue to grow into large also bring in a lot of adoptions that will make value big in the future, don't expect prices to touch $ 400k if this method is not done from now on

While I believe Bitcoin is still the wild wild west until now, I don't think it is possible for its price to climb as high as that next year. I don't even believe that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 3 years from now.

There should be more legit basis. The market is too volatile to do and many still doubts in it's use and adoption. The price always struggling to reach a new level to break. The resistance still hard to break there is a need for a more pushy process that will make the adoption happen. These will not consider as cycle since its changing m in different aspects.

In 2017,many people were expecting a bitcoin price above 100K USD  in 2018 and around 1M USD at 2019 or 2020.
They were justifying their predictions with technical and fundamental analysis.Did it happen?Nope.
Nowadays,I read such bullish articles for a good laugh and I just move on.It's sad if some people actually believe this BS.The author of the analysis should get a real job and stop wasting his time.

That's the point. IF and only IF Bitcoin could stay above the 20MA support. And honestly speaking, it really looks impossible. Even if we compare it to how BTC has moved in the past, it still seems close to impossible. Just from the fact that the situation then and now are different, especially with the amount of attention BTC has right now, it making to above $100k by the end of the year seems closer to a dream instead of a reality.

I guess they got ahead of themselves because of how the bubble of 2017 happened. With that happening, I'd guess anyone would believe that BTC would turn into bullish for a long run.

Another ridiculous forecast, but who are we to judge such prediction when bitcoin has reach at this level from almost nothing in value?
Maybe I would say that the prediction is quite unrealistic but it could happen, provided the hype is on and the FOMO is going for quite a long period.

At one look, it could be impossible but if bitcoin starts pumping this year and we end up $100K, and will continue in 2021, things will likely to happen.

So, here we go with the interesting part. let's compute.
let's say I invested $1,000 at the current price now, which means I would get 0.1185 per http://preev.com/, so if the price hits $424,000, I would turn my money to $50,244 and that is x50 increase. looks possible now? yes. because Bitcoin increased x1000 in the past.

It's his job, he makes analytics to attract followers and he can be famous in this market. I used to know a lot of people in my country, they made bullshit analyzes but there were so many followers. He then encouraged many people to buy shitcoin and he made a lot of profits from it. Btw I believe that the price of bitcoin will never go up to $ 424,000, which is a price that's too high for the true value of bitcoin.

The point here is that, these people who are making unrealistic assumptions of how high the market value of Bitcoin would reach in the future, are just pushing many people to invest with hopes of earning huge profit someday. But this is totally wrong, many people are being carried away to much, but also, since the market value is volatile, they are becoming disappointed whenever the market value is dipping. Many people are losing huge money because they don't know the 'game' in this industry.

We have people saying Crypto and blockchain is the best thing that happened in the last decade. Others say the value in it is biased and therefore it must be a bubble. There is only one truth here, nobody can say for sure, but it appears more and more everyday that not only blockchain but also cryptocurrency have a strong place in the market. I see a bright future for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. I think 400,000 USD is far from expected for 2021 but Bitcoin can cross 500,000 US dollars easily in this decade, Because might be the 3rd halvening is already priced in, but I am sure the 4th and 5th isn't priced in yet.

No, there is no chance! Bitcoin has the potential to reach that high price but if you follow the reality then you will realize it is just impossible for Bitcoin to go for 424K! I think Bitcoin won't go that high ever, lots of obstacles will come if Bitcoin cross even 50K USD! Last time BTC's 20k USD did not even last for 15 days! Then the huge dumping started and bear run started, so how can you expect that high within one year? No way!

There are so many different approaches in the OP's message that I am not sure which one to tackle or discuss. First of all I don't get what people don't understand about the required capital to increase prices in % changes whenever the price is higher. Moving from 1 dollar to 2 dollar was a 100% increase and yet it was much much simpler and required a lot less money versus moving price from 8600 dollars to 8700 dollars. Sure, now we have more people and more money involved but that doesn't mean that price will go as easily as it used to be.

424k is therefore impossible to happen that fast, and maybe not at all because it would require literally a whole stock market worth of money going into bitcoin in the next 2 years, that is not something that will happen at all.

Hard. $424.000 is a bit to high. I would be more then happy if price goes over $200.000. IT is high possibility that will not be the case. But of course is possible it can go over 400k, but very very low.

$125,000 and $424,000 is too much and very high. Well, I guess the high predictions shall come out as they can understand how this market works. It's known that we just came from bear market and knows what's next. And base to the history of bitcoin, they are now giving too much predictions that's giving an excitement to the people who are reading their opinions. Sometimes, it's entertaining to read such high predictions with analysis.

bitcoin prices are very volatile, simply a lot of demand but a little supply will make the price of bitcoin quickly rise.
vice versa.

As a trader, always do your own research. There are lots of arguments and analysis for why bitcoin should be at an extremely high or low price and anyone can use bogus words and non sequiturs to support their claim.
This could be used to push the price or lower it depending on the strategy they wish to take.
When trading;
Be open minded, but also be very skeptical.

To address the original prediction, while every price is possible, some are not logically probable. And I do not think we would see such highs this year or anytime soon. However, don't forget to buy.

It's to much prediction mate and remember on what happen on year 2017 where many people expected that Bitcoin would ever come more but suddenly after the halving pass and hype close out the price dump for even worse situation so better we should think on lower since it's reality and it will never profitable to whales if the price is not cheap for them so provably any manipulating act will strike just to dump the price.

I don't think such hype in bitcoin price is possible under current circumstances in which governments are not willing to accept crypto and FATF is pressing hard governments to do something against crypto adoption. Not only price analysis will help unless we see some welcome note from authorities.

There are too many speculations and predictions the analysis done is too long. Halving coming and the rewards will be reduced. If you were a miner what would you do? Ofcourse the price will tend to increase to compliment with the rewards that has been gone for them. But is this too much positive regarding its price? Maybe they can set a more realistic prediction of surpassing the ATH first before coming up with $400k price. Too ambitious if you ask me. Anyway, everyone has their own say but for me this is ridicoulous analysis.

the topic of bitcoin price predictions at the end of 2021 is always interesting to discuss. although the topic has appeared very often but still many are enthusiastic to discuss it. in my opinion $ 424,000 is a very high number. and I think it's quite difficult for bitcoin to achieve it in less than two years. although we all expect the price of bitcoin to increase we must also remain realistic. according to my prediction at the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin is $ 40,000.

While I believe Bitcoin is still the wild wild west until now, I don't think it is possible for its price to climb as high as that next year. I don't even believe that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 3 years from now.

Even if it takes 3 years to break $50,000 we can still have a great time watching. The OP question is possible but pretty unlikely.

Predictions are really good, but this is beyond the limit mate. Right now we are just under 10k and do not confuse too much on this, and yes if you are ready to hold your asset for long-term well and good. It's like just a hype nothing more, the price may even dump after halving who knows. I'm not saying it's impossible but till 2021 is really short time to reach, might be it can in this decade.

I consider 400k impossible (virtually). To good to be true. I would be really happy reaching 50k in two years (max time I plan on holding btc), and would conform even with 20k. 100k would be a dream, but I know deep inside that I would shit on my pants everyday at night if I dont sell at 60k or 70k or whatever, so doesn't matter.

I am used to traditional investments and there's something inside me yelling "stupid dreameeeer" every time I consider respectably probable getting an interest of 100% or more from an investment in just a couple of years.

You could plan to keep at least some BTC, also sell on rallies and buy on dips, that way you will still own a bit if the prices go way beyond $100K.

The year is still fresh and just have been starting but, we could see the vast development in its standing compared to last year's. $424,000 value is not impossible but, it would be very hard for Bitcoin to hit that price range with just limited time. The only proof that this might happen would be the halving event of Bitcoin that would be a catalyst to draw more demand from the investors and user of Bitcoin as its supply decreases gradually after the event.

So far, the price of Bitcoin is still struggling just below the $10,000 bracket. I predict it would overcome the resistance next month and would gain momentum till the bull run.

Bitcoin is money in digital that is loved today all over the world, everyone is thinking of investing more in Bitcoin, various predictions emerge from the lower classes of society, to prediction experts in the world.

OP, if that's what is being asked about the price of Bitcoin in 2021, can it break the number / level: $ 424,000, this is a very difficult question to answer.

Briefly and think positively, yes or no, because we know since bitcoin was created in 2009 until now the price keeps changing 'up and down', This kind of thing can also happen to Bitcoin going forward and beyond, no one knows for sure the price of Bitcoin in the coming year, in essence, everyone hopes for the coming year Bitcoin and other coins can be better than the previous year.

I honestly don't give much on those predictions. There are always people in favor or against Bitcoin. Some predictions will say Bitcoin will die, others will say huge numbers like the one you quoted. I bet in the end the bitcoin price will be something in between. But of course crazy prognosis are always good for articles, but they dont mean much.

I'd be ok with 10k even so long as BTC itself is successful and really it has to find its own direction and price in order to facilitate that.    Part of the pricing is reliant on the other half, the worth of what you quoting it in which is dollars.   Its impossible to say a price for BTC without also commentating on progress with Dollar worth and its trend as the backing to all other money.   To see a price of 400k requires that Dollar is no longer the sole basis for value but we have moved on in history to consider something beyond FIAT.   So its not a number we are moving towards but an event or shift in weight for the whole earth, way bigger then any number.

No. It might reach $40k if the bull market is postponed to late 2020.

If the bull market starts before the halving (thus confirming the 4-year cycle), then the price might reach $100k, followed by a crash to $15k in 2022.

Can Bitcoin Price Hit $424,000 Sometime in Late 2021?

I know so many people who are optimistic and excited about this year and 2021 to come, but I think that the price is too far from the limit. well, maybe we will make predictions at that level when the price of bitcoin manages to break the price of $ 100000. but so far, I have only predicted that the price of bitcoin will reach its new ATH in 2021, but the price may be in the range of $ 20,000 and $ 30000. I don't think that the new ATH will be in the range of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The current position still shows that it's still far from that range, even there are lots of predictions and assumptions coming from different analys
but reality still dictating that the value still far from breaking the last time high, hopefully this year or the following year brings this market a stronger
bounce and provide new ATH.

analysis and assumption promise nothing and all of us can give our own so nothing can be expected from that specially for that huge amount?that is very rarely that can happen and even in the next 5 years we will not attain that price.
but reality still dictating that the value still far from breaking the last time high, hopefully this year or the following year brings this market a stronger

providing ATH is near to happen, but we only looking for above $20,000 and not that 5 digits 4x .

anyway this is a great positive post for Bitcoiners.
