no. the price of altcoins rises when bitcoin is in a flat state. at such moments, people begin to prepare for the growth of bitcoin and buy altcoins. altcoins are connected with the price of bitcoin and not vice versa. even if the prices for altcoins now start to grow strongly Bitcoin will not depend on this. he is independent

actually it won't be that easy, because when bitcoin went up some at the end of last year and altcoin didn't manage to follow it. this happens but can not be with the appropriate percentage so it will not be easy in the action. need research on this, but altcoin with good volume can usually follow the flow of bitcoin prices.

You are making promiscuous information. When altcoins price up, how volume of Bitcoin and price up. After 2018 only 10-20 coins pump as before, when rest of coin is plummeting. What i have understood from your post is that you are actually stating what happens in a bullish market, to be honest we cannot tell yet if we are already in a bullish market or no, bullish market will be confirmed only if btc breaks above 14k and eth above 500, in my own opinion.

It will depends if the altcoin will be able to keep up with if BTC pumps up its value and also if it will happen the same last year of 2017 but i think it will not be the same again since a lot of investor are still waiting for the value of BTC to rise and surely they will accumulate more than altcoin.

Bitcoin currently dominates this market and overwhelms all altcoins. I think this year altcoin will follow Bitcoin price and if this coin goes up, then the market will definitely return to the best growth period.

actually it is the other way around mate,because obviously people tend to buy Bitcoin more than altcoin but i see your point here that instead of Bitcoin pursuing why not we pursue the Altcoin since this is much cheaper but profitable also right?though risky to find the right one to buy but if we will choose at least the top 30 currency then the advantage of not losing is there specially if the Bitcoin Value continues to grow and Halving took over the market movement.

In some ways that some altcoins never work the same because they are dead already and I don't think that we should consider those and be counted. But for potential altcoins, they are be moving high, as usual. May not this day or the other day but it possible we gonna see altcoins soaring high again this year.

if we pay attention to the market it does happen like that. but sometimes several factors block that correlation. like what happened in the middle of last year when bitcoin pumped with a very strong market domination that made altcoin unable to move. when the situation is different, we can see the correlation that you are talking about. and of course, everyone seems to be happy with this.

Sorry pal you lack a lot about how bitcoin/altcoin works, every single altcoins in crypto space depends entirely on bitcoin itself, if bitcoin loses its value all other coins will reevaluate and if bitcoin surge in value all other coins will increase in value, buying altcoins to make bitcoin rise is nonsense

You don't have any reason here, if altcoin price up then bitcoin will up as well, I have a reason for it. Because bitcoin will be choosen first by investor. Before they have intention to buy more altcoin they will buy bitcoin to avoid losing all their money. You may see how the prices altcoin are, was pumped drastically and need a few times then you will see their prices will go back to original prices even lower than that, and this thing will be a high risk for them. You have to consider your portfolio first before decide to choose some altcoins, think carefully about your risk management and you will be safe.

I think you're not right. you can see when bitcoin was down, Then all altcoins  condition was bad. But now bitcoin goes to rises and all altcoins goes up. Therefore, all markets depend on Bitcoin.

I think price will jump on some altcoins cause bitcoin is starting to move upward, this is what they call the start of bull run and we will expect that if bitcoin goes up altcoins will follow.

The price of bitcoin and altcoins do not really tied as much as it used to be, I mean yeah there is some connection but nowadays it could do anything; it could be bitcoin going up and altcoin going down, it could be bitcoin and altcoin going up, it could be bitcoin and altcoin going down or bitcoin going down and altcoin going up, all of those could be happening at anytime and I wouldn't be shocked, and ALL of that has happened before so we can't really say that its connected anymore, anything could happen.

Altcoins as a whole jumping up is not really as common as you might imagine, the top 10 and top 20 does go up together usually but check out the market in general and usually the market as a whole is very rare, happens like once or twice a year, so if it happens you have to take advantage of it, if you didn't then go in too late.

I really do wish that the price of altcoin experience a huge boost this year. The issue with altcoin is that it takes a good project to have a good price. Most altcoin in the industry are sheet coin and may not have any substantial increase in value without been used for pump and dump scheme.

You are only partially correct, for example, you draw a straight line from Bitcoin to altcoins - this is a curve line, i.e. the function of the growth of altcoins from the price of BTC is not linear. Look at the Bitcoin and Litecoin chart and see this.

Altcoins that has real uses and can solve problem will likely to increase in price because its not base on a pump and dump scheme but due to people who support it and thats how it should be. Dont expect a shitcoins to give you profit or can recover back after reaching the bottom because if the coins has no use then there's no reason for it to gain value since it is only made for temporary profit of the dev and early investors who dump it.

Even if you could, you would end up altering the future based on the information you have, thus causing the future event you predicted not to happen.

Yes, and that is a matter of course.  When a new money flows into the market, all coins grow sharply.  But the important thing is that it depends on the different types of alts.  In my opinion, this is a year for mineable coins, it seems that these alts have been growing strongly in the last 4 weeks.  LTC is the most outstanding because the halving has taken place, coming will be Zcash, BCH, BSV.  I think this is the season for top alts, not all altcoins.  so my advice for an optimized profitable portfolio is top alts and bitcoin.  Choose wisely to have a glorious year, we will get back what was lost in 2018.
