Title: The state of Euphoria has been hit by YoBit Participant!
Post by: webtricks on January 27, 2020, 03:07:54 PM
So today is the last day of YoBit Campaign, I understand the excitement participants have to earn the last bit of money before the campaign is closed. But this user hit the whole new level of euphoria and thought it would be great idea to reply to this 9 years old post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18226.msg53714973#msg53714973

YoBit campaign and its wonderful participants will be missed.  :-[

PS: I myself did YoBit campaign for few weeks so no offense to legit participants.  :)

I noticed that extreme necrobump too, and I was wondering why that member did that since they usually don't have a problem making decent posts without having to resort to bumping nine-year-old threads.  OP, did you report that or what?  I didn't, but I probably should have.  It's certainly an interesting thread and I do like to see what people were writing about bitcoin and the economy years ago, but nevertheless it's against the rules unless there's a damn good reason to resurrect an old thread.

Also: hooray for Yobit's campaign ending today!  Hopefully the drama surrounding it will die down and we can learn something from it--maybe not agree on everything, but them switching from the cryptotalk campaign to the investbox one on the sly definitely wasn't something that has happened on bitcointalk before, nor was a Yobit campaign ever managed by a campaign manager.

YoBit campaign and its wonderful participants will be missed.  :-[
Yeah, I suspect a lot of them are going to disappear until the next opportunity rolls around.

Yeah, I reported the post already. At first I thought it was some valuable discussion from past and the member bumped the thread because it has some relevance with present conditions. But on reading the thread, it seems an ordinary discussion like 50 other threads we see in Economics section every week.

PS: I think mod already deleted it. Nice. The member now have to do another post to achieve his daily target, sad. :D

I imagine existing campaign managers will be inundated will PM’s from shit posters looking for a new campaign :D

In all fairness though, the topic which was necroposted was somewhat a legitimate question still worthy of discussion 9 years after--but that doesn't justify anything that was done that's for sure. I admit I was once part of the Yobit campaign, but I never even tried to complete the 20 posts that was the maximum back then, nor have I even thought of doing since I only get online mainly to read and not to post.

I imagine existing campaign managers will be inundated will PM’s from shit posters looking for a new campaign :D

I can feel the pain campaign managers are having right now lol

Many of them have already left the campaign with a bad impression. Well, until then we won't be seeing that sig and personal text in a (hopefully) long time, hooray.

Am I the only one here who doesn't know what YoBit is/was? Is it some sort of chocolate bar?

Ahh! Looks like someone wasted $35K on promotion for nothing...

I hope that we never hear of or see Yobit again, utter and disgusting display of humanity's evil.

Well, this user probably wanted to maximize his earnings before campaign will end. It will be interesting to see how many accounts will become inactive again now.

$35k? No, they have spend around 30 BTC or around $267k.

You sure about that amount?

Regarding the promotion for nothing, I would't bet on that :) Much more users know now how shady YoBit is and also much more know about their scams.

However, keep in mind that it is possible to come back again in the future.

Yes, yahoo had confirmed it here:

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they will come back one day.

My mistake! Actually I wanted to write 35 BTC.

Damn, and that doesn't even include their own CT forum. That's gotta be one of the most extravagantly spent sig campaigns here.

Wow they spend that much already? where did you get that data? BTW, looks like the post your shared was already deleted.

IMO, yobit advertising in the forum is not wasting of money because they have been advertising even in the early stage, I am not sure why they stop but I believe they will come back again any time soon.

anyone who have participated in the campaign confirm that post are not already paid now?

It didn't. The source is the post (from yahoo).

I'm going to post here even though you may delete my post due to my signature, but I happen to know the numbers and feel my post is relevant. The current campaign that I am watching over has paid out around 30btc since the end of September to participants.

I'm not sure how "advertising even in the early stage" is related to success, but that was clearly a joke.

Of course I know that it isn't a chocolate bar, but I really don;t know what service (if any ) they offered. I haven't visited ChipMixer either, but at least I know what they offer to members. That just shows the power of a domain name, and a business identity.

YoBit is a crypto exchange with a bajillion coins plus an investment scheme (InvestBox) and a non-provably fair dice game.

But their reputation hasn't been great for a variety of reasons.

I am very curious how these statistics will change in the near future.
it was amazing to see how many 0.0 users were animated.
Yobit signature campaign participants (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220231)

currently i don't want to be a BM. the flood of new participants in various campaigns will be hard to work off.

I noticed that there are still a lot of yobit signatures in the forum.

Per announcement by yobit account, the campaign will end on January 27.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188047.msg53689288#msg53689288

I was wondering if yobit are still paying the participants who are posting after the announce end of campaign.

I was assuming that they are having a success because they started their signature campaign last 2015 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1036113.0) although it wasn't continues but basically they already spent a lot of money from the very start, and also 2015 was the year yobit was launched according to => https://www.allcryptoexchanges.com/reviews/yobit/

Therefore, for an exchange to spend that big, they must be getting something that benefits them.

no this is certainly not the case.
but gives a very simple explanation for the behaviour -> the users care 0 about things in the forum (like the end of the campaign).
it is unintentionally continued and probably in a few days there will be reports of problems with earned credits ;)

Only profit is important, probably many are not even aware that it is over (for now). But they are invited on other forum to continue with their work. Only problem is that other forum is paying much less than was the case here. Which just shows how much their employer values them, or rather their contribution to the forum.

End of great bounty. I dont think we will see bounties of same level again.
Rewards at crypto talk are very low. You can earn upto 3 dollars per day.

I wouldn't bet we won't see something like this again, yobit will come back sooner or later.

The yobit Euphoria is finished and we will no longer see the yobit signature in every thread
The yobit signature makes this forum a place of mass spam and is very active, especially in the Altcoin Disscution (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0) sub-forum which is a hotbed of SPAM every second.

My mistake! Actually I wanted to write 35 BTC.
Is 35BTC expenditure comparable to the statistics that cryptotalk currently has?
https://i.postimg.cc/8cgzSgGb/Screenshot-14.jpg
the forum will be a migration place for spammers who want to follow the next signature.
