Title: new: btc-e Withdrawal on debit/credit cards VISA/MasterCard now available, how?
Post by: rojuwah on March 19, 2014, 01:27:55 PM
I just saw a tweet from btc-e announcing that "Withdrawal on debit/credit cards VISA and MasterCard is now available".

From bitcointalk topic=76394.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=76394.0;all), I see that such a service is previously operated and then discontinued. Indeed offered by a site named aurumxchange (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/AurumXChange_Company), which is currently shut down by US gov.

Now how is that possible in general, especially for a shady exchange like btc-e? (extensive discussion about shadiness is something else (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/20omny/reminder_btce_is_shady_as_fuck_they_are_likely_to/)) Now your ideas about this service.

Using Original Credit Transactions.  We'll see how long this lasts.  I'm guessing some banks aren't going to like it.

It's does not matter how they manage to do it.
It's very convenient and it works! I've tried already.

well indeed it will not last for long :) or maybe I am wrong - that would be not bad at all.

Does this work from the US?

if it is a convenient service, why not other exchanges apply it? Or what took an exchange so long to show up and allow users to withdraw money using cc?
