Title: Newbies attention. Don't get trap yourself with greed.
Post by: sujonali1819 on February 02, 2020, 04:45:54 PM
I have found a post by Huyukolkopoksa (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2713256) on 12 November 2019 in this forum. (the post was deleted) But you can see in here: http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5305/53052801.html [credit Loycev (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=459836)]

https://i.postimg.cc/SxZJgyY1/chrome-KL22w77-EXG.png

After seeing that post I knocked him on telegram. And he told me the name of the site. and also told me a promo code by which I can earn 20$ worth of crypto.

https://i.postimg.cc/fyTbcpTQ/IMG-20200202-214754.jpg

So after that, I have registered the site and set the promo code on profile. And get 20$ of BTC maybe it was 0.0034 BTC. and play a bet on roulette. And I was shocked after the result where I have own $800. And try to withdraw but it was asking to deposit 0.015btc to activate the account :) From then I was sure that it is a trap and must be a scam. After then I back to telegram and do some fun with that scammers. see the screenshots.

This was past history. I just ignore it for that time.

Today I have been checking my telegram message and suddenly I noticed this conversation and try to visit the site. And see It is directed to another website.
so the previous website was: cryptocloudx.com and now redirected to beldexcurrency.com. So it is another trap by that scammer.

since I can not find any password recovery option on this site, So I create another account here with the same email but it does not show it is invalid. after creating try to set the same promo code HAPPY2019 which was sent by the scammer in telegram. But it shows wrong. Just thinking that the time was 2019 but now 2020 and try critically HAPPY2020 promo code. and got 0.003 BTC in my balance. Try to withdraw and it is saying to deposit.[though I know it can not be withdrawn]

see some screenshot.

Code:
Site URL: https://beldexcurrency.com/
archive: http://archive.is/wip/tAY7G

Domain information:
https://i.postimg.cc/vmnjht0P/brave-PJnn97-On-O5.png

After registration my balance is 0.
https://i.postimg.cc/gk5N76X1/brave-Hl-LANur-UV1.png

After inserting the promo code I got 0.003 BTC
https://i.postimg.cc/rpcVSsJt/brave-AUv-N0-Es-DGB.png

After making a bet on roulette it again showing to bet another one. But I have only 11$ where the minimum bet is 16$. So it is forcing people to deposit.

Note: You can think it is legit by seeing the number of online users. But nop it is not. Maybe they showing the fake numbers or most of them are alt/involved with.

So it is sure that a person who has passed a few years in the crypto world will not put his leg to this type of trap. So most probably the newbies can do it. And I think they are spreading this trap on the internet for catching only the newbies. Not only this site but also you can face many sites like this. Buddy(newbies) don't be greedy. And don't put your leg into this type of scam sites. I hope all will be aware. Good luck.

Some similar sites that I have found in this forum and the internet. By depositing these sites you must be scammed and by visiting these sites you can be phished. Because most of them will try to redirect to a phishing site. So There is no alternative to awareness to avoid it.

This kind of scam theme existing here for too long even I did face the same situation a couple of times but gladly I knew this strategy from other forum members earlier itself so just have fun with the user then laugh at him finally. 8)

This is a great way to kill time when you are bored, but make sure making money is not that easy.

Old scheme of scamming people. I also did experience the same scheme where I visited a site promoted by a user here in this forum about a site. I registered using my dummy email and play their game. I won many times but when trying to withdraw they will ask you to deposit first before you can withdraw which I did not bother and never use the site again.

Anything that has a prize attached or money involved and has a requisition of depositing some money before withdrawing has always been a scam!

This situation brought forward by the OP falls under the famous 419 scam and I wounder how we fall for such

I've navigated through all these scam attempts like this in the past because I always believe that anything that sounds too good to be true is probably not true. I had a run with a site just like this in the past. They had a gambling section and a trading section. My first run with the free btc they give new users, I won 0.1 btc. Lol. Their live chat looked active with many users sending messages across. It was until I attempted to withdraw the prize I won that they asked for a deposit. I just knew it was a scam and avoided it like a plague.

Scammers are everywhere on telegram when you join to a particular group they will chat you promoting some website saying they have funds and cant withdraw and obviously a trap similar to your case, I am still getting some unknown PM but if they didn't state their true intention I just report spam and blocked them or ignore. Don't ever give them your info they ask for emails, locations, etc. they are very desperate please be careful guys.

In addition to the above scheme. Has anyone here experience here a situation where certain stranger chat you you and begging for help like he has some btc that cant be withdraw on his exchange wallet and asking you to help him and will give you reward just by registering on that exchange. I know that would be a scam already but I didnt pursue as I check the exchange sounds suspicious. I admit at first I was tempted but I still dont do it.

Lesson learned dont be attracted on this kind of scheme that involves giving you free money in a most easiest thing to do.

I want to warn again people that this type of scam site can redirect you to phishing site. So if you click the Cashback  button on the upper right and chrome extension   button on the footer page can redirect you to a phishing site.

This guy is obviously is literally asking for money in telegram which is I think the normal thing to do for scammer. Most of the greedy could easily corrupt your mind n this situation I think the best thing to do is to not entertain them or just block this person and report them.

I encounter a lot of people like this that are randomly chatting everyone in telegram finding newbies that they could easily scam or get money from them. Thanks for posting it will be a huge help making a lot of newbies in the forum aware of this.

Those scammers are really good with their own reasons which are already scripted. we need to realize that there are so many frauds on the internet. that's why we need to be careful about engaging transactions with strangers on the web. this is a good example of how will they scam their victims. thankfully OP is fully aware of what they will about to do. this will be served as a warning to the newbies of this community.

I saw a similar case yesterday on my local board: play roulette, lucky win strike, want to withdraw, nope .. need to make a deposit first, etc. The person asked if it was legit, and was actually quite in for it before reading the answers we gave him.

It actually triggered a memory of mine making me recall participating in some crap of the sort right at the beginning, before becoming overly scam conscious, but with enough rationale to see it very odd that you should make a deposit to proceed on to a withdrawl. From a logical point of view, it seemed inconsistent enough to raise suspicions and deter me for proceeding, even if you one is a Newbie (not forum rank, but crypto experience) like I was at the time, trying to figure out all this cryptosphere.

What can we anticipate? scammers will consistently search for an opportunity to deceive individuals, the issue is novices never learn regardless of the notice given by concern people in the forum because they still end up on a similar situation. They are only concentrating on the potential advantages however they don't realize that their greediness influences their perspective as well as their decision making. People have various approaches to exploit others assets and it's difficult to get away from them. It requires some knowledge and exertion on determining whether you are doing the correct decision because one mistake can destroy everything, for that reason we should be cautious before taking risk just to grab an opportunity because you don't know peoples real intention.

That method of scammers is very old, and outdated but sadly to say, it has still been effective to scam victims. Even people have known, read, learned about that method, they still get scammed and being victims. Hence, it is their responsibilities to not protect themselves from scammers and don't follow vital rules. Greediness makes them losing their mind and easily get scammed.

Go first with any amount of money, then will be rewarded back with bigger amount of money.

Please don't get scammed by that stupid strategy.

Very interesting story lol. Yesterday someone sent me message on my telegram about 'roulette', he told me have a offer for me. I simply asked what, then he told me that he us the one moderator of roulette and could help me to gain and so on. I was little busy so I didn't liked to fun with him and just say, 'I am not gambler'. Then immediately he had deleted chat history lol. This is the great advantage for telegram scammers.

I just wondered if some other newbies were on my place then likely they would fall in that trap. Because I know this is just a scam attempt. He will ask for money or you will forced to make deposit in order to withdraw fund. So eventually you will get scam. So don't be greedy, before put your money somewhere do your own diligence.

This  a very old method used by scammers. They create a site and tell you they can make you win huge amount of money. You then try to withdraw and you get a prompt that you should deposit some amount due to some policies blah blah blah.
Just ignore them or tell them to use the code by themsel.
Good thing you expose them because some people aren't aware of this tactic.

Hats off to you for going through all the registration and the conversation. I would not find the time and, more importantly, the patience to do all that. Other than not getting trap with your greed, newbies should be able to lessen their ignorance when it comes to these schemes. There are plenty of warnings already posted in different boards before the OP but some don't bother reading them unfortunately.

i fail for this when i was starting this crrypto stuff. back then , in 2017, most of these scams were rampant in telegram. they were using bots to scam people and it works for them. i fail for one that called himself a pastor. you play a game on telegram. when you win, you deposit some bitcoin to enable the withdrawal buttton. the summary of it all is that, you can never withdraw more than you deposit. there is no way you can withdraw more than you deposited. the more you deposit, the less you can withdraw. i managed to quit and also inform loads of friends that i introduced into it.

Note: You can think it is legit by seeing the number of online users. But nop it is not. Maybe they showing the fake numbers or most of them are alt/involved with.

You can see if it is a fake platform by checking its domain registration and IP address used by using [url = https://ipinfo.info/html/ip_checker.php]IPInfo.info[/url]. Simply check for the domain's credibility and company ownership. Though many can fake those, still, trusting such online platforms is risky, especially transacting from Telegram.

Also, paying a person to transact isn't preferable in any aspect, at all. There are a lot of wallets and exchanges that requires fees and that must be enough. There is also no exact amount for any online transactions as it depends on how much you would transact. If ever it is a tech support, they are not supposed to have separate payments, as they already have salary to the company they belong.

Indeed they should also not try to do this kind of thing where you entertain scammers because that might lead into greater danger ans also scammers might come up with something that will make you do what they're asking so better to stop at the moment the things required to do becomes smelly, try to focus yourself on learning things specially of you are a newbie than waste time to those scammers.

This has been going on in many different shapes and forms. It is always a brand new site and it always involves that the victim has to deposit money for some activation/verification purposes. I have taken part in legit gambling promotions where I received free coins and there is no need to deposit any money to make a withdrawal. A rollover requirement can exist but nothing else.

The best prevention over this is totally avoid strangers that will approach you. If the person is indeed persistent just automatically block him/her. I noticed most of them are using girl photo to attract or to avoid suspicion. This will not work if you dont allow here to talk to you and as a hint many of them are always insisting to talk about transaction and fund which might an obvious clue that they are after something...

There are a lot of scammers in this virtual world, so you better be careful about trusting others, especially when they are offering rewards for you, which is there a way to persuade you to believe them. So be wise do not be so greedy anytime, there is no easy money in this virtual world, you all need to work hard for it to achieve what you really want.

I was confused, why you keep on sending money if you already know that it is a scam, do you think that he will give back 30$ to you? That is impossible. If the scammers already got his or her needs to you, then he or she will leave you.

Please do not trust any sites that require you to give out your money to them. Do not invest your money in the sites that have no reviews. Be wise and research everything.

Definitely, there are lots of scammers out there especially here in this forum, to those newbies who really want to earn, make yourself well informed first before getting involved in any business. There are lots of techniques that scammers do just to get what they want from you, it is indeed true that you should not trust anyone you do not know online especially here in the forum because they might be intentionally want to get your money. You should study not only the forum but everything including the cryptocurrency, its nature and how to use it. There is also different information you should know before making any transaction like for example sending money to a project because there are some projects who really accepting only a particular coin. Make yourself knowledgable first before making any steps here.

Newbies should be careful because they are always the primary target. i have lost about 0.5 BTC when i started this crypto due to scams. mostly on ponzi platforms. they keep stealing from people without control. everyone should be careful

The main issue why cryptocurrency enthusiasts fall for this is less a matter of experience and more of greed. Most if this scam attempts are pretty easy to spot if one is not temporarily blinded by the prospects of some quick and easy bucks, and during this period they are susceptible to scam requests like activation fee to withdraw cash from a website.

The internet is a very dire space and if an offer is just a little bit too good to be true, it probably is not true.

Some scams may seems good at first glance, but when you've done some research you will eventually realize that they are just trying to tempt you with their offers. Frauds can be attractive, but we shouldn't trust anyone with our money just because it seems rewarding. Thus, we should check and be mindful of the methods that the scammers used to trick people. Don't easily believe their promises and offers because they will convince you that in order to obtain it you have to transfer some money.

New roulette site that are giving away 0.003 BTC  by promo code, don't make any deposit to these site or you will loss the fund.
Code:
https://dentawallet.com/roulette

Interesting thing is someone had asked me yesterday about this site but I didn't bother to open or click. After that person told he had a big amount of btc there and he was asking about website legitimacy. I directly ask him to withdraw your fund since I suspect it was a scam attempt. Them he told me he is unable to withdraw unless he make new deposits. So my suspension become true and I told him this is scam site even I didn't visited the site yet. If you made deposits means your fund will gone for forever.

Then I search this website on the forum and popup this thread. There is a big criminal team behind of such as scam. They always target innocent people who isn't much familiar with cryptocurrency and they got success that's how. Any website asking deposit to make withdrawal is scam. Simple logic..

I guess who is promoting the same roulette site with the same design is the same person or team. I have also won 0.003 BTC from near 1000$ in another roulette site  ;D ;D that is described in OP.

i fell for this scam when i joined the crypto campaign newly. i participated in lots of scam programs on telegram where we send bitcoins and received 70% of our rewards with the idea that when we introduces new members, our payment will be completed.  i think i have lost close to 1 btc to these kind of scams and it is good to remind newbies of the dangers involved in this.

There's also this scam though it's outdated but it's about being PMed by someone and they tell you they are an admin on a roulette website and they can make you win by showing you proof. They make any player win(though they are bots). Just ignore because they could have made their family wealthy by sharing with them.

Good thing you've learned your lesson. You've put life of many innocent people's funds at lose because of greed.

You can say that again!  ::) I constantly just do the same to simply just report/block potential scammer and delete that particular nonsense message and history as well.

It's amazing really how unsophisticated most of these scams are, feels like a bad move on their part making their message so obvious that even the most stupid of their potential marks feel insulted.
He's un-smart scammer ''a learner''

Therefore, carefully research the various sites carefully and mark those with the signs which are real and faux Scammers are everywhere so you would like to see the copies carefully before you fall under their trap.

Also, it is better to make a check on the domain because you can make it easily recognize this kind of platform it is recently created and functional.

Some of the transactions happened into the world of communication tools we are using with and this is the telegram there are a lot of people use this to communicate and trying to scam most of the newbies today.

Thats right, sending a phishing site URL without censorship will allow others to click on the link either intentionally or not. If this is a phishing site, its a good idea to show it with a code. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Sorry mate, I edited your post a little in the quote.

We should be particularly careful when visiting the important sites like exchanges etc. The rule of thumb is that whenever you need to enter your username or password in any site, just double check the site addresses to confirm that you are not entering your credentials in a phishing sites.
If you ask me i have bookmark al the exchange site and the bank sites where i visit often to check my accounts. This way i am sure that i am entering the right site.

I was exposed and faced this matter many times and was able to discover the fraudster quickly, but I continued talking to him until I was able to know exactly what he wanted, and frankly, the Telramram app is full of these scammers, whom we must pay attention to.
