Title: ban on the forum - new account
Post by: cryptoleo.ru on February 03, 2020, 03:25:02 PM
Hello guys, my account was banned for plagiarism (p. 33) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1847242

I didn't do anything criminal - I just asked my girlfriend to write a message from my account while I was on a business trip... she copied a message from the same thread and I got banned  :-[

Is it possible to continue communication on this forum from a new account if I pay for Copper membership? I will not break any forum rule again. Please, give me one more chance.

Unfortunately, you can't. Once you're permanently banned, all future accounts associated will be banned as well.

Yes, it's not criminal. It's just something that you get banned for. Look at the bright side - you'll have more time to spend with your girlfriend now.

If you insist on appealing send an e-mail to the address shown in your ban message. But your chances are negligible.

I send an email but nobody answer, I don't believe that anybody reads them. My first account was locked because the password hashes were leaked in 2015 -  i send a few email's but got ignored.

Okay... That really sucks... I hope one day the administration will change that rule. I understand that the penalty is needed but not so tough.

I don't think anyone really cares who wrote the message for you. If your account was hacked, it would've been a different story.
But first of all, you don't ask someone to write on YOUR account for a post. Plagiarism is punished here and is clearly against the rules, which you've accepted as an active member of the forum. I don't let anyone else post instead of me because it should be my work, not theirs.

"Second chances" have been given to others but were given for nothing because shortly the same user who was forgiven broke another set of rules. Wait for the answer from the e-mail address you've sent a mail to, they're the only ones who can decide your account's fate.

Try reading the rules next time when you join a forum and don't expect the rules to conform to you.  Plagiarism is a serious problem on bitcointalk, which I think is why the punishment for violating the rule is so harsh.  If it were anything more lenient then bitcointalk would end up looking like cryptotalk.org--and if you want to see a real mess of a discussion forum, check that one out.

I'd say I'm sorry you broke up with your girlfriend, but it sounds like she has a problem with basic honesty anyway.  Not that I believe your story, because I've heard all of these excuses before.

I kinda agree with that, as many (old timers) before you were banned from plagiarized posts which they "unintentionally" made during their early days.

You are banned based on this: Ban evasion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2613277.msg53339283#msg53339283), I see many cases happening as you are experiencing now, but nothing has worked, "Ban evasion".
I don't think this will work for you, because you also have several Alt accounts here.

another story with a copper member.
copper members, making mistakes is also the same process.

Hi this is my suggestion me as a newbie. One of the important rule her is reading, since your girlfriend are also using your account you just have to tell her that she needs to read the rules carefully. Because this is the best way to avoid forum rules especially in plagiarized content.

Since your are a newbie also i would recommend to read the sticky topic carefully in all boards before posting. This one of lesson i've learn when i was a new here.

we broke up  ::)

How much were you earning here that your girlfriend getting you banned on an internet forum was grounds to end your relationship? Or is my assumption that the two are connected wrong?

I looked at your post history and it doesn’t appear that you were contributing a lot to your local community. I don’t see your chances of getting unbanned being especially good. My suggestion is you wait a few months and ask again. Your chances would improve if you haven’t evaded your ban in the interim, but would probably be fairly low.

you are wrong man... I have 3 accounts here, that is fourth.

My first account was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=156971 - locked because of the password hashes were leaked in 2015. Send 2 emails but don't get any feedback.

My second account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1847242 got banned for plagiarism (!ONLY ONE MESSAGE!)

My third account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=250820 got banned for ban evasion

lol... these things are not connected :)

I don't ask for unban... I ask for a chance for a new start.

In your case, asking for the chance of a new start is equal to being unbanned. And that's a "no" for someone who's done plagiarism and ban evasion. Also, why do you believe YOSHIE was wrong?

Paying to get more privileges (as in being allowed to skip bans) would be very unfair to all the other members of the forum. Your first account, which you say was hacked, has 40 posts - I don't think you lost much if anything with that account.

Eventually, wait until the staff replies because they're the ones in charge. Although I think they've had enough of these kind of threads already..

You already banned several times in past. And this also will be banned  if you make any post without in this topic.

Lastly you banned for your Girlfriend, but previously who made the mistake? Because you said one account was banned for plagiarism in past. Was it also made by your Ex. Girlfriend?  ;D just kidding!

P.S. I am very worried that your girlfriend is being punishing or not for this works. ;D

Sorry to hear that. To be honest (not to be personal), but breaking up was unnecessary, if the matter you've mentioned is the main reason. Account is just an account, though you worked hard for it for uncountable days, plagiarism isn't right and would never be right in any aspect at all. Even making another one is also prohibited, in which it fits to the fact that you disobeyed the rule that no users are allowed to have multi-accounts, you even also disobeyed ban evasion, and requesting a new start wouldn't change the fact that you've been disobeying rules in the forum, more specifically having too many accounts as you stated on the quote below.

you are wrong man... I have 3 accounts here, that is fourth.

Better learn from your lessons man. The world wouldn't spin for your satisfaction.

PS. No offense intent.

I don't ask for unban... I ask for a chance for a new start.

You have been banned as a user, it doesn't matter that you make 100 other accounts, there is no way to come back on the forum. And the fact that you have recognized that you are a ban evader, reduces your chance for a new start to 0. This means that you didn't read the forum rules not even after the first account lock received, you had more chances than many users here, 3 accounts...

Come on... my first account was locked not by my fault! I did nothing wrong! The forum was hacked!
I didn't create my third account for ban evasion - it was created before the second account and was my main account.

Even making another one is also prohibited, in which it fits to the fact that you disobeyed the rule that no users are allowed to have multi-accounts
read the rules - multi-accounts is allowed on that forum

Make sure you read everything! If one of your accounts got banned means you are never allowed to use any of your account for posting if you do it will be called as ban evading and all other accounts will also get banned.

I saw a few cases with a signature ban for one or two years - I will be happy if I get that kind of penalty!

Signature bans can be handed out to users with significant contributions so you might want to focus on highlighting how your presence positively affects the forum.

So far we know of at least two negative effects:

  • You allowed another person to use your account.
  • You broke the rules repeatedly (ban evasion).

I don't understand how someone whom habitually breaks the rules should be allowed back in.

banned for plagiarism, ban for ban evasion (more serious than the first offense).....     and still expect us to let you in as if you will suddenly stop breaking the rules even though you have given us zero proof you wouldn't break them yet again?

First account being locked out is no consequence;  it bears no emphasis on the issues at hand; aside from needing to be banned as well because it is owned by a banned user as you yourself claimed it in this thread... (you figure out your password or whatever else possible scenario is still possible)

Your only chance at a "new start" was with your original banned account replying to the email address it was originally given to try and settle the issue;   not create a new account thus avoiding a ban, breaking more rules.

I hope you see the train of logic that is blatantly obvious.

If I need to spell it out in simpler words with less description;  I will.   But as for now;  Not much else needs to be said to or from you aside from replying to the original email from the original banned account;   stating your FULL situation and case (everything, including the alt accounts and us telling you to contact this way)   and plead for your second account to be un-banned with or without restrictions.
All of these later accounts;

should
not
exist.
