Title: Apart from AIRDROPS AND Bounties, Are there other ways to OWN cryptocurrecies.
Post by: Banadony on February 05, 2020, 12:33:18 PM
Cryptocurrencies are seen as the future replacement of Fiat Money. many investors currently are thinking about crypto. Now for us the middle class. Are there ways to earn these digital money apart from airdrops and bounties. i think there are:

1; lending.
2; staking
3; joining AMA in telegram groups to earn giveaways.
4; facets ( although they don't pay much).
5; online jobs that pay with cryptocurrency.

These are my options of earning crypto apart from trading in exchanges. What about yours?

Do a normal job and buy it.

Even if you're in an impoverished part of the world if you sit down and do the sums it's quite likely you'll end up with more crypto for similar amounts of time expended.

Or, if you are smart enough, or have the right contacts, or have a good idea start a cryptocurrency related business, which will earn you fiat and/or crypto.

Some have made miners with developer fee. Some are managing mining pools or exchanges. Some are selling stuff. As you can see there are quite few fields covered.

The list is good. But you can extend to a more extensive ways on how to earn cryptocurrency which doesnt involve paying or buying it.

1. Learn coding and developing smart contract. Some hire expert with skills on these kind of crypto work.

2. Do internal marketing and promotions which not include advertising here. Like creating banners and design for their platform.

3. I can post more but as you already mentioned a list, better yet follow @gentlemand advice, do your work and buy it. Hold it, and wait for the right time to sell it cause holding can make it profitable just pick a good one to buy. BTC would do.

Faucet not facet but faucet itself can not make you richer. It is funny nowadays.

Airdrops and bounties concurrently are shit rewards, compare to the time you will have to spend for. I agree with gentleman's advice above. Concentrate on your works, improve yourself technically and professionally and use part of your income to buy bitcoin and other crypto.

Referrals are better way to make crypto currencies than those 5 methods you mentioned in the OP.

But you can't make lot of cryptos which should be enough to survive  your life time if cryptos become mainstream payment method so you can buy little amount every month with small portion from your savings.

Actually, I already said it here but unfortunately, the thread was got deleted and the other way to earn cryptocurrency is through joining in different Social Mining. I can't say that this thing is just like doing a bounty campaign because upon asking some people about they say that Social Mining is more focused on the value of the project. Then, the thing that you need here is to connect your telegram account, twitter account, and even your Reddit account if ever you already gain a reputation in their Social Mining platform. Then, the task you need to do is like doing the task in a bounty like which are doing tweets, retweet, making articles, memes, gifs and many more. In order to gain cryptocurrency from Social Mining, you should do those tasks and you need to have points and reputation is very important in joining Social Mining.

Here's some of the project that has Social Mining:
1. LTO NETWORK (https://ltonetwork.com/)
2. FERRUM NETWORK (https://ferrum.network/)
3. 2KEY NETWORK (https://www.2key.network/)
4. ECOMI (https://www.ecomi.com/)
5. ELROND (https://elrond.com/)

So far, it is the only way that I found out to earn cryptocurrencies and many people already try this. I hope this thing will help you to earn cryptocurrency.

When it comes to lending, I don't think it is suitable to what you refer as middle class. You need to have a good amount of capital before you can really earn from it. If you don't, your funds may end up stuck in the borrower's hands for a long time and you won't be able to roll it over again.

The same is true with staking where you also need a good amount of coins for bigger stakes. You have to be careful in choosing which coin also since not all of them are going to be profitable.

It's pretty much the same thing don't you think? They just changed the name but the difference mainly between the two is that your social media accounts are connected to these platforms.

They are actually pretty similar with regards to the task, I've just observed that some social mining platform required to hold their token in order to participate in social mining.

According to google (https://www.google.com/) facet /ˈfasət/ is a one side of something many-sided, especially of a cut gem. I don't think people can own cryptocurrency with facets unless if it is faucets which is you are right that they don't pay much. You could also own cryptocurrency by selling in the market or work in a project or company that pays bitcoin.

Agree. Just what I heard on Andreas Antonopoulos (one of the famous Bitcoin author or Bitcoin advocate). Earn it/buy it, just treat it like money in your money which you can earn by doing jobs or whatever result of your efforts.
Just what he already told before that there is someone who is a video editor and someone paying that video editor using Bitcoin and the video editor guy found out that doing a job and paid by Bitcoin is much comfortable to use for transactions.

Simply invest on it. There are no other ways to OWN cryptos because airdrops and bounties nowadays are most likely to be scam projects and ICOs hence depending on it would just be a waste of both time and effort. Investing isn't that easy. You can buy a little now and trade it  everyday. You can even buy huge amount now and wait for years for your crypto to pump then sell it.

Don't depend on giveaways and freebies. Set your mindset that you must work hard to have something you want to have.

If you have a little capital and a little bit of extra time, then maybe you could do trading or specifically day trading but you have to hone your trading skills first so that you will not end up at a loss.

There are a bunch of crypto trading topics on this forum and other trading literature on the net including Youtube videos, ebooks, etc that could help you start with. Just remember that this endeavor takes hands on practice in order to be a mmore profitable trader. Goodluck! :)

Use steemit, it's kind of like Reddit. You get rewarded with upvotes which has monetary value. You can exchange steem with other cryptos if you like.

What about yours?

There are a lot of ways to earn cryptocurrencies. But the best way is convert your fiat and invest onto a crypto you think you could trust and will be good for the long run. Giveaways isn't as good as investing as it depends on the project's success and outcome, in which most projects had failed in the end and some turned to be scam. Therefore, giveaways such as airdrops and bounties IS NOT owning any crypto, its more likely to be HOLDING some project's promise.

I think OP need to lock this thread. As many suggestions has been raised enough on what ways how to earn cryptocurrency. I think aside from what you mentioned OP, buying it as the first response is the most easiest way to own it. Other than that is hard as you can read on the following suggestions.

Please locked the thread OP. I think the topic has been addressed already. Thank you so much.

But, to survive in Steemit and to earn from Steemit you should contribute worth content to the community. If you are sharing worth knowledge then you can even earn from Bitcointalk as well.

Yeah, but op said apart from bounties and airdrops. On bitcointalk, most content creation comes under bounties so I didn't mention that.

I think the OP has expressed his opinions based on what most beginners think when it comes to cryptocurrencies, which is how to make money without investing money. At the same time, they forget that even without a direct investment of money, they have to cover the cost of the internet, electricity, and to buy a personal computer.

Let's look at the methods that OP listed.

  • Lending -> This actually requires investing money, and if the OP didn't think banks (and probably didn't), the risks with this kind of earnings are that you actually have no control over your assets (no private keys) and that the company that holds you crypto may disappear at any time.
  • Staking -> Same as lending in a way that you first need to buy/invest some coin, but with a difference that you hold coins in your wallet all time.
  • Giveaweys -> This can be good if they give something good, but Telegram is full of fake/scams things, and most so-called giveaways will first ask for your data, and then to send them some coins for confirmations.
  • Facets (OP think on faucets) -> Only if you have thousands of referrals, then you can make something from this, or if you are faucet owner who knows how to make money.
  • In general online jobs which pay with crypto pay very little, but if you are a good programmer, designer or marketing expert, this is something that is very well paid

I would add that in addition to what most advise, find a job and buy crypto - to do each of the things listed for a month or something like that. That way, you can see how much it is really worth and whether it is worth investing your time in it. If you can make $10 a month, that's $120 a year - so ask yourself can you make the same amount of money in a shorter time with some other work.

if only you can get a job, it will serve the same purpose but a better option of saving more money and also investing in crypto. there are ways of earning which including investing in IEOs and following top exchanges for airdrops and giveaways if you are lucky. you might win..

Apart from Airdrop and Bounties, you can earn free crypto while learning about Cryptocurrencies. Coinbase is providing some free tokens while you learn about the crypto. You may check it here how it works? - coinbase.com/earn (https://www.coinbase.com/earn)

Apart from this, many top exchanges support Affiliate marketing and Referrals which you can search and join those programs.
