Title: what happened to freedrop?
Post by: Furryball on February 06, 2020, 12:41:44 PM
Freedrop used to be my favourite platform for airdrops, I never knew bitcointalk forum then, I was able to make good money on freedrop.me but unfortunately it stop working, its a Korean based airdrop platform that carefully select rare airdrops, I joined metacoin, airwallet airdrop  and ironx on  there, I made 300$ from metacoin only, is there any good airdrop platform that have limited airdrop instead of many that arent always good

I doubt there are any left, I used to use airdrop alert earlier as they were listing pretty good airdrops but, now days they are listing everything that comes to there way.

If you search google for airdrops you will be amazed to see how many websites are offering this service and almost all of them are copying and pasting the same airdrop.

I think since then the rate of free airdrop drop exponentially and I think even bounty campaign are now started to fall down. Got lucky to enter on this btc paid which is proven legit one. I think most of the airdrops on 2017 which give a high value is now fading. I cant blame people from stopping it cause it only cause some other investor to back out due to huge dump especially if the drop is more on altcoins that are new. For now there are some legit platform for giving away some coins such as latium x, cryptomarketads, brave browser, and pundi x airdeop on their platform.

I think just forget about the airdrop now. it's better to focus on the alt on the market if you have some money. if the project is very difficult to find investors, somehow with the fate of airdrop hunter, airdrop is no longer efficient in my opinion to produce some Tip from the project, too much garbage and scammers. this time is no longer the golden period of the bounty/airdrop hunter in 2017, but now there are still legitimate projects, (1: 100) to find it. just a suggestion, be careful with airdrop asking for KYC/AML verification.

freedop.me ?
Yeah, i found no information about that website. Did not even find a reason why this time was not found. maybe the domain has been changed.

Do not mind, go to airdropalert and join airdrops that have the highest rating, this is the perfect way to get good result from airdrops, I've been paid Origin protocol and Liquidapps through airdropalert and their trading price are very good

Can I ask how much usually earn in current airdrops now in airdropalert? Ive used to sign up and join some free tokens giveaway there but as the freedrops become not a thing now. I stopped it. Obviously some of them gone and you cant compare the payment that has been made before than now which is totally very low and not helping anymore. I remember when ebtc airdrop launch and I did some good earnings there. But the situation is chaged now and might forget airdrops for a while and focus on more legit campaign that pay good compensation.

In the first I hear about a similar platform. It is strange that you did not post a normal link so that other people could check the current working capacity of the project.
I am surprised that someone else manages to make money with AirDrop these days. If everything you say is true, it would be great to see evidence of the funds you earned on this site.
This could inspire newcomers and show that AirDrop is still alive.

maybe they are offering that service also, then when there are too many scam project created theu stop accepting any new airdrop and ending up to close the platform.
You are lucky to atleast earn enough money before the website disappear.

You are right. Nobody can be trusted at this time. We don't know which airdrops are profit and which aren't. Even though airdrop is not as difficult as a bounty, it still spends time if it doesn't get rewards. after all, they made an airdrop site just to profit from visiting their site.

I wonder why everyone is talking against airdrops like this when I have make good $$$ out of airdrops, OP has a point to only join airdrops that have high rating or listed and trading on exchanges, I just prefer Airdropbob better than airdropalert

If you search on Google "airdrop" then you will find legit websites that often share airdrops, but I prefer to join someone's telegram channels/promoters (usually has a member above 50k) of the airdrop because it updates the airdrop faster than the website that I visit often. But before joining research project first.

The bounties section do fit what you like. Hundreds of airdrops are there to be found but the question is how many of them are legit? a ratio of 2:50 or 5:100 is likely the situation there.

Like, 2 legit and paying out of 50 or it's a too much estimation from me?

They were probably overwhelmed by job. "Airdrop spam" in crypto market can make the job of filtering out promising projects difficult. Will require lots of work and researching to select the good stuff.
People should probably consider donating to such services to keep them in the business of selecting quality projects for airdrop community.

That's not the case with freedrop, the owner of that website is a very popular guy and he is well funded too, his nickname is Tomku and that was why I trusted the platform back  then, unfortunately he was able to keep up, the last time I heard from him he said it will be back and better

You says very true that since several months ago i was attempts to enrolling plenty of airdrop outside this forum but if i compare to the percentages of successfully airdrop from them approximately 99% airdrop was worthless although at the beginning they promising good amount of money but in the fact some of airdrop never reach to the exchanges to be traded so airdrop seems could be useless method for earning money currently and not very profitable anymore

The market situation affected everything. Freedrop my thoughts though had to stop operating instead for them to ruin their reputation as they ceased to be any airdrop which can easily be tagged as legit. A lot went down the drain within the past years.

If you want a good airdrop, then visit the exchange yobit, because in the exchange yobit many good airdrop programs and not the garbage tokens promoted there, for example like YODA which can already be traded inside the yobit.

How do you expect such a platform to keep coping at the moment when real bounties are no more transparent no to talk of airdrop platform that provides a list of an airdrop. I think the freedrop has done the best thing by going underground because if it continues to provide a relay list of free airdrop, more than 90% of them will turn to scam thereby tarnishing the image of the platform. At this moment, a lot of good bounty managers have turned to bad ones in the eyes of bounty hunters just because they manage bounties that they do not know will also turn to scam. taking part in airdrop and bounty these days do not guarantee you will get paid and when you get paid, you don't know if you will get the chance to trade the coin.

There are a lot of scam free airdrop now you are lucky to have received that kind of amount, there are so many airdrops now that do not have values at all in the market I used to be very active in airdrops and had over 100 airdrops I'm lucky to get $10 on anyone of the airdrops I've got, now there are a lot of giveaways but they are now scam, because they are requesting people to send coins so you can get their giveaway.

Without doubts, i think nature happened to free drop.
Even the bible acknowledges that there is time for everything, the time for airdrop has gone, and it doesnt pull any string any more.

All projects have taken it upon their-selves to advertise their airdrop on the social media pages and get some PR, instead of paying for airdrop listing.
If you look around Hydax airdrop, Emirex, OGN airdrop and so on, it was on their pages.

But individuals who wanted more referrals, then took up the PR role and share it to thousands of airdrop groups.

Yes, if we look at the legitimacy or illegality of the airdrop programs, there are indeed many that are in vain, because many airdrop makers do not think of long-term programs, so many airdrop tokens become useless in the market.

holy sh*t .  300 for one airdrop  . thats crazy , never earn that much ever since i joined airdrop hunting last years ago but anyway on what year did you earn that or on what year the platform dissapear  ?  i tell you bro , the state of airdops lately werent good as what they are last last years ago and that is the result for many airdrop platforms to shut down but dont be sad because there are still few out there icluding airdrop alert , the one that i used to before and now  .  also there are airdrops here selected by our dear forumers   .

The majority of airdrops that listed on airdropalert that were based on the ico price and we can't expect if that will become the final amount for how much we will receive that from the airdrop. It's better to search an airdrop with the actual value that has already gotten after the token has already traded on the exchange sites. Im always using this method and at least i rarely gate fake airdrop.
I have participated in energy and various airdrop in the past.
The airdrop platforms can't be a good way to earn because there was no actual value.
I do agree if airdrop alert has already provided a complete list to almost all of airdrops that available in the market and it's a little bit better than what already mentioned by OP.

Maybe if we see the same market as before these free airdrops will be alive that even without any platforms or projects will have values even in etherdelta or forkdelta. Those were the days. Last year, deflationary tokens were a trend but didn't lasted.

You're in luck you only have three airdrops but you made $300 in one of these airdrop, it's hard to find even one good airdrop now i stopped doing any airdrop because it's just a total waste of time, IEO is even more better or mining I wonder why there are still airdrops now when majority of these are all useless and shitcoins.

I don't know much about Freedrop. But, as you explained, the website provides legit airdrops, right? if freedrop has not provided the latest list means there is no airdrop that is really legit and profitable anymore, the logic is simple like that right?
In fact, an airdrop is indeed not very profitable at the moment, most only use it to enlarge the network by giving very small rewards, it cannot be maximized without reff, mostly like that. Very few really give a big bonus, the last thing I know is from coinbase and airdrop from upbit, the rest just ends up being bullshit.

Based on how many shit airdrops take place, I guess they decided its took much work for them to track every airdrop. Was not worth their time for which they probably might have ended up shutting themselves down. You just got really luck with one of your airdrops. None of them have much of a value.
I would suggest you to stop hunting airdrops and invest your time somewhere else.

yes, more is not good. actually, not only airdrop but also one of the bounty campaigns. You can see for yourself that the market situation has not improved, the price of altcoin has not been significant, and many ICO project fraud events. especially for airdrops, I don't think there are any more airdrops that make a lot of profit.

Airdrops have lost their meaning after 2017. Most of the airdrops are useless coins, although there are some with value, they only give you a very little amount not even worth trading. For me, the ebtc airdrop was still the best.

I had no idea about freedrop before until I see your thread. As the Airdrop bounty us not working out well, so it's normal for Freedrop to shut down the activity for a while. Therefore most of the airdrop is totally garbage nowadays! If you want to continue your airdrop job then you may follow the airdropalert dot com website. They share potential airdrop only.

I didn't focus to find an airdrop as side income. Most of them just end up with shitcoin and my time that I spend being worst eventually. Indeed it is depend on the project that we joined, but I have tried hard to find the best airdrop and I was learning about the ins and out about the project, such as seeing whitepaper and etc but it didn't work at all. Actually, I have one channel telegram namely Airdrop Prince but so far I haven't got any profit, maybe I just selected to join the project there and my prediction again the project was wrong so I didn't get anything.

That's right, if joining airdrop is just a waste of time, then it's better not to join, because our time is still very valuable for us to use in things worth following, as in the example you have mentioned, which is to follow the airdrop program made in large exchanges such as digifinex, kucoin, and binance.

Most of the airdrops are a scam, and just one or two percent is real; maybe that's the reason freedrop is not providing airdrops, and most of the users are left the airdrops due to most of the scams, so you can find out here and twitter for good airdrops.

Every event you have seen occurred in the crypto space was a trend. A lot has come and gone. There were times that airdrops became the talk of the time and so many people can and testified they made a lot of profits from the.
The question you should ask yourself is:
Where are most of the projects that did airdrop? The fact is that, so many of them have faced off. They came and were hyped, which made a lot of folks to be interested in them.
This might be the reason freedrop is no more functioning because something else has now taken over.
