I started to explore new, enhance my coding skills and practice how to deploy such services online. So I decided to play around and come up an information bot for bitcointalk such as merits, trust list, more in the future.

Just open the @BitcointalkProjectBot (https://t.me/BitcointalkProjectBot) in your telegram client/mobile app  and set UID (this can be your uuid or any uuid that existing in bitcointalk)
You can check any profile by just SET UID command

• Merit Earned Overall  - (every week update)
• Merit Received Last 120 Days - Total of your merits last 120 days
• All trusts data - (every week update)

This is my first time to create a bot and deploy it online. Services I used as of now are all free, I don't know yet how huge traffic will affect the bot or how long it will work.

Great job OP, I have tried now your bot. Looking cool all the information getting quickly. I think it's better option to get quick update about a user. Keep it up and add more option, so it would be more useful to use.

It would be more great, I was wondering that during check my profile. It will be more easier if we can set username, so we do not need to look on address bar to copy UID.

Thanks for that, I also planning of instead using a bitcointalk uid, use bitcointalk username or bitcointalk user profile link, or use both to set up the user profile.
I'll figure that out soon after I observed the traffic on the bot, like how the cloud platform I used handle the traffic.

Looks kinda weird. I tried it on my end and got the same, last 120 days merits received also showing 0.
But I tried to restart the bot or service in the cloud platform where I deployed it and as I tried it again, it's now working.
I think I forgot to restart it before after I made some changes.

Can you try it again? It should now work.

Nice! Great job OP, this is also a good bot for monitoring some merits, trust list, and other important stuff about forum. By the way, when I clicked who trust me, there is none in the list but I'm not sure if no one really trust me or its a bug? I am hoping OP can add more useful features in the future. This is a nice addition to the other bot I'm using which notify if someone give you merit or quote you in a post.  Anyway looking forward to the improvement and progress of your project.

I already tried, everything was working well and fine. It's a good stuff OP, this is very useful in applying a signature campaign that requires you to count your last 120 merits received. Before I was manually counting mine and sometimes when I'm lazy to count my last 120 merits got and stating approximately number. But now, for sure we have an accurate answer on it. Great job OP.

The earned merits in the last 120 days show zero now unlike the first time I tested it. Please check that.

Initially before now, I haven't used any of the bot created by members of the forum because I didn't see a need for any of them (personally) but yours is different. Sadly LoyceV just lost a frequent visitors as this is more convenient. Hope it stays active and updated for as long as possible. Just tried the bot, everything seems to be working fine except the "merit recieved in last 120days). Try to fix it as it'll be helpful when applying for new campaign slot. Hate counting manually.

I tried it severally but still got the same answer, deleted the bot and restarted but no improvement on just the "merit received in the last 120d command". Kudos though on the development of this awesome bot.

About that, that is kinda impossible I think.

I think it was the recently Slow accessing of the forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224384.0) problem. I just added some error messages if we encounter again those kind of problem.
It's working now.
And as of now, I am still observing about that behaviour.

Already put some names on my trust network and tried out using the bot. Still now popping, maybe there is a timeframe for this like 30minutes after the activity conducted. Will see, I'll check it again a bit later. I dont know if I'm on someone trust list already cause no nothing really coming out.You don't have yet your trust list network. It is now working properly, thank you for fixing the issue. Though, the only downside of it is that, the information isn't updated every day, so we need to update its database first to concisely see the information we need to find. I think it relies on the data base scrapped by LoyceV right? Meaning to say that you also need to update it weekly like how LoyceV created his database.

Wait for another week before it will become available on http://loyce.club/trust/ and remember if no user trusted you, you will not see some users who added you in their trust list.

If anyone tried to check their trust list or trust data, if you don't have any trust data, like no one listed you on their trust list/distrust list, you will see nothing. So, better to create your custom trust list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust .

It's not really possible to get intermediate data. You can add only a certain user to your Trust list to see who they (dis)trust (don't test this from a DT1-account), but other than that, you'll have to wait for theymos' weekly Trust data dump.

That's a handy bot for signature campaign participants. Counting earned merits in 120 days has become laborious to some :D

How often does it count? I tested the merit earned all time and it's off by three merits. I can't verify the merit earned for 120 days yet. For some reason, my counter is only showing merits I sent and received from Jan. 15, 2020. Any idea how to expand it?

When I am usually checking my trustlist I will go to LoyceV ranking thread to see my stats on PC, but now it will be easier to view using my phone  ;D

My suggestion is you should add a ranking calculator there together with the merits needed for the next rank, with that. that will be the all in one bot that every forum member is going to need  ;)

Thanks. And yes, I just added some new changes like some emojis and recent merit transactions, I am still working on add the receiver username on that.
I also added to the second post on the thread to track the change logs of the bot, especially if I added/changes some functions.

This is a great work mate, considering that its your first time to create a Bot. Now it will make a lot easier to see your Merit Status and your merit in the past days, trust list is also a good addition to this work while using telegram. Will wait for more features mate, and hope this will last for good.  :D

This is really a good improvement as a beginner. But here is what I observed, the merit earned in 120 days isn't accurate. I've earned over 65 merits in the last 120 days.

It would be good to get notification when someone added or removed me from his/her Trust list. This information can be taken from http://loyce.club/

Example:
"You have been added to the Trust list by xandry."
or
"You have been removed from the Trust list by xandry."

To avoid confusion, I suggest: "In the past week, you have been .....".

I'll start to work it out. I think it is better the bot will send a notification to the subscribed user every Sunday forum time.
The only problem is the bot is sleeping/idling if there is no activity for 15 minutes (I am still using a free subscription). There's already on my mind for the solution about this.

I thought I did received 100 merits today. That is very surprising cause I check yesterday the merits received for 120days and gave me 374 and checked again just now it became 474 and I check my merits still same. I thought someone dump me 50 and another 50  ;D


Ive noticed that sometime it got some error or inaccurate display of merits received. But this is okay as bots are usually like this. But this is really an awesome bot. Hoping for more additional features. Thanks for this, counting merits will not be a problem anymore.

Were you full member before merit system came to existence? If so, op might have updated bot to count airdropped merits.

Edit: nvm, I only see my earned merits (not counting airdropped merits) but count is not correct (I have got 24 merits but it shows 22).

Funny.. So you think I only have airdropped merits? My airdrop merits is only 10 for your information. Hope you know my rank for that merits before the implementation of merit system existed. Cause my total earned merits is 574. Your judgement is askwed.

I updated the bot, and I am 100% sure that the latest one is accurate, see the above post and 2nd post of my thread for changelogs.
As I can see on the image you attached, the last time you request your last 120 days received before the latest one is more than maybe 24 hours.

Hi, the total merits earned are provided by loyce.club, and you can see your's here http://loyce.club/Merit/history/1091302.html but unfortunately, the total merit earned/receiveds for now is January 24, 2018 until February 07, 2020.
So, the 2 merits you received at February 10, 2020 is not yet added in the data of @LoyceV.
I am going to ask him/her if how frequently he/she updating http://loyce.club/Merit/usernames.html page.

I like to use this bot, I always use it when I have to calculate the acquisition of merit when I want to register in the campaign.

However, I am a little confused about the merit calculation that I got on your bot, friend.

When I check the merit acquisition in the last 120 days I get a total of 435 merits.
Then I check the merit acquisition the whole time I get 431 merit.

My question is why the acquisition of merit in the last 120 days is more than the acquisition of merit all the time?
Can you explain about that, man?

It's just some error and glitch mate. Everyone here also experienced the same. I did check also yesterday and giving me a result of 437merits for all time earned merits while the 120days shows 537merits with a deficit of 100.

But dont worry I think OP is fixing all issues. Monitoring and checking outs bug isnt an easy task so lets just wait it will go back to normal.

Data on the last 120 days is based on Merit summary for AakZaki (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=839568).
Data since the beginning of the Merit system includes all data until last Friday morning, when theymos' data dump happened.

I checked your problem and found out that because your last 120 days are much higher since, the data from LoyceV (http://loyce.club/Merit/history/839568.html) is only updated weekly, and also based on theymos data dump every Friday.
The merit received last 120 days is live and the bot is fetching it here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=839568, in every merit's profile.
Always remember, last 120 days merit = only get the last 120 days merit, it's normal to get higher than ALL total merit since the MERIT RECEIVED (ALL) data is not live data.

This kind of telegram bot can help me a lot as a newbie or beginner into the bitcoin talk because I can now monitor where is the recent merited content and to keep updated about the good quality post also it gives me a review about the merits I received on my account.

Glad to use this kind of telegram bot because I'm mostly active on using telegram also it can make more easier access to my information like how much merits I already earned.

I just tested this project of yours.  And all I can say is, well, well, it works well.  It's been a while since I last tried the telegram bot but it focuses on posts like when someone quotes your post or mentions your username and the PM notifies you in the forum.

I only noticed one thing in Recent Merits, I thought the data of the UID you entered, that was for everyone.
