Since the introduction of the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and Alts) and its revolutionary Technology called Blockchain, way back the year 2008 until now, what was the development they are contributed to our society and how the blockchain technology helping our current industries and services? is the Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? Blockchain is one of the most successful tech as it's adoption is one of the fastest among new tech. Within the decade of it's inception it has become a hot debate among the leaders of the countries around the world. And it is slowly making to our everyday life with the implementation of blockchain in Internet of things. Blockchain is a safe standard for different technologies.

Some of the big companies that adopted blockchain are FedEx, KIK, IBM and Walmart have started to use blockchain technology. And several companies like Mastercard, Microsoft, Bank of America, etc has filed several patents on the blockchain. Several financial institutions have already started blockchain-based services along with ripple. So several companies started to look into the potential of blockchain technology and it's still early to say whether it's successful or not as of now.

can be said that the existence of Blokchain technology has changed the Digital industry for the better in every side including transaction services and other needs. we can see that since Blokchain Technology emerged, the adoption of crypto increased, most companies started to be interested and even developed their own coins through this technology. blokchain has provided many benefits for its users, I think this technology is a technological revolution for the future.

my take on blockchain.

A company trying to sell their product has customers that use a proprietary software, paying a license for it.
Now, will every customer be considered as a running node and validating the information within that company's blockchain?

Banks will continue to centralize everything.

Or if in some cases they are pushed to do something imposed by central authorities (I can remember T2S in Europe where settlement activity is running through the ECB). If that will occur in the future with the issuance of digital central money (just because it is trendy), can this avoid a new financial crisis? not sure

Indeed, blockchain have contributed lots of things to the industry like improving transaction time, less fraud, much safer records and many more and yes it is one of the most good technology adaption the world have made and will continue its good effect in the future. I can safetly say that it is a successfull system, we just need most companies to see its potential and finally adapt into it, imagine what world we will have once systems in our countries are run by blockchain.

No matter how innovative, how revolutionary technology emerges, every technology driven advancement requires mass adoption and this is where blockchain technology lacks. I'm very much impressed with the idea of blockchain, the idea of holding your own money in your hands, instead of relying on banks or to rely of a middle man or institute to make a transaction. Being your own bank and this is something admiring and worth it. I believe with the passage of time Cryptocurrencies will be start using by almost everyone.

Thanks to ICOs that makes Blockchain a real thing in the space, most of these projects comes to the space to raise money and hiding under blockchain, most are just common database. There is no doubt that it shows promises but we are still are the surface and some companies are now trying to apply it into the real world. I know IBM and some other big companies are doing real work in this area, it will surely take time

It has been a massive success that is why governments are allowing it, unfortunately the progress regarding govt policy and other regulatory procedures has been very slow which has hindered the mass adoption but almost all countries are now working on it and next 2 3 years are going to be massive regarding mass adoption of blockchain technology as well as cryptocurrencies.

I think yes as is talked about it on many tv channels, and many companies and banks want to use it and to adopt it, it really make the work most easy and more fast to search any info on.

The revolution has just begun bro. A decade is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things, but blockchain and cryptocurrencies have done an incredible job in this time.

You need to understand that they are still highly experimental technologies, so we're not seeing them used too much in every day usage, but nonetheless they will at some point in future.

Think about how long it took the internet to become what it is today? It was invented back in 60s, but people really only began to fully explore its potential in the 90s and 00s.

Blockchain will likely follow a similar, but slightly accelerated trajectory and see mainstream use in 10-15 years.

We'll probably see the first of these commercial applicants within just a couple of years though.

Blockchain technology helped some people to become more rich by boosting the value of their stocks or by allowing them to run investment scams (ICO, IEO, altcoins, etc.). On practice blockchain technology had almost no effect - no one uses seriously uses it, at best some companies run trials to see if its worth using.

And cryptocurrencies shouldn't be viewed as application of blockchain technology - blockchain is secondary, not primary, they weren't created by blockchain, blockchain was created by one of them, namely Bitcoin.

Although we are yet to see a massive adoption in various sectors etc but I can say blockchain has come a long way and have been adopted by many industries and platforms. Like someone rightly mentioned, Walmart, IBM have taken a stand on blockchain, Samsung on the other hand is also taking their own stand on what blockchain offers. Let me not forget Opera browser which now have a crypto wallet, slow and steady we are getting there because blockchain has come to stay and those who knows what lies in the future are taking their position so as not to be left out. However more improvement is needed to bring blockchain to the larger world.

I think that blockchain technology has already begun to be introduced very much in modern society. this does not happen very quickly because development needs a lot of time, but I am sure that in 5-10 years this technology will bring humanity to a new technological level

Whether or not success depends on the definition of success, If only considering Blockchain is a new technology applied in practice, I think it has achieved success. But compared to technologies that have completely changed people's lives like the Internet, Blockchain has not yet succeeded.

Its 10 years already and we've seen companies using the technology. Its in the very early stage of its development but we've seen the potentials of what it can do specially in finance. There are developed projects in music industry where musicians earn every penny going to their wallets and can't be pirate as well, the potential is almost limitless if big industries applies blockchain.

I believe so for it is with a grand success and financial experts are finding blockchain technology is still in its early stage hence it will be too early to think about its final outcome. Because, more people around the globe yet to adopt it and only after at least 25% of all to world population are adopting, we will be able to find whether it will be successful or not.

You are, I'm here and others are here and this is one of the reasons why we're all staying because of blockchain and cryptocurrency itself. By it means, we're able to deal with the upgraded version of financial transactions through transferring payments with different cryptocurrencies but many are from bitcoin. As we can see the first result and effect of it, we can say that it's been a success for the technology itself because they can also see that there's another use case for it not just for cryptocurrencies.

Do you remember how long it took to fully establish the internet? Developing and using the blockchain technology is nothing which is done within a few years. If you say is succesfull or not i think its success but not yet successfull, its needed more adoption in real case and real use, this revolution on financial technology need more time and effort not only hype and bubble on cryptocurrency.

there have been many contributions made by blockchain technology, every country that has developed the blockchain has felt it, even some countries have proposed using the blockchain.
maybe the next few years we will be able to feel the effects of the blockchain directly in real life.

To me it's already a success, if Banks and CB can start knowing how good the blockchain tech is and want to build their own digital currencies it means the Satoshi vision works and thanks to Bitcoin and Nakamoto himself, making transaction with coins digitally is the best thing that ever happened in my own time since I was born

I think it's too early to draw such analysis because the blockchain technology is still young though it has seen great improvement and adoption in the last decade. Many crypto enthusiasts are very optimistic about the growth of this industry but let's not forget that governments have some level of power to obstruct its progress. Hopefully, US and China would establish friendly laws to enhance blockchain technology growth. Sometimes some of the developing countries are waiting for the advanced and developed ones to take the lead so that they can follow.

Blockchain technology is the most in demand employment skill in 2020, that is enough to be successful, also governments will start to adapt this technology for their public services such as filing of documents etc.

We are not yet fully there but can say vividly that we have come along way and as such closer to it. Before now, there haven't been many systems or platforms outside this space which think blockchain was worth it, but nowadays they are getting involved gradually as they have seen that the future is bright. Yes blockchain and as such cryptocurrencies has contributed massively well to the society such as in the payment of some online product and services with crypto, such as in the easy transfer of crypto to friends and families who can then convert to their desired fiat. Also, owing to the immutable nature of a decentralized blockchain, many projects are looking into it already to improve their security, smartphones manufacturers are adding blockchain features etc. Lastly I can say so far, it has been a success but more is still needed. 

Obviously, the fact that it still exist until now and crypto assets has turn to be a good investment especially bitcoin, that means there is a value on it and there is a potential it will grow in the future, one good uses is the remittances from different border of the world and another one is the gambling where casinos now are more transparent with blockchain and the payment method is easier with crypto.

I think blockchain technology has completely revolutionized the industries. Almost all sectors of industries are always considered the use of technology. Finance, Gaming, medicine, etc. in fact the technology has been evolving with the growth increasing everywhere. Now people can make a transaction and get delivered in few minutes compare to similar traditional means. Apart from this, I have come to realize there has been increasing research in the field of blockchain and I have seen so many schools especially in Europes given scholarship for research in the area of blockchain technology and AI

We are still counting and there are many more achievements to come. What I am saying invariably is that blockchain technology has given an immense contribution to our world. The financial sector has and it's still feeling its impact. Other areas involved in economic development and social wellbeing have also been impacted through blockchain technology. Although, the technology is yet to get the its hallmark, with time, it will get there.

Well, it is successful in the sense that it showed us what it can do and it did helped a lot of people to improve it to use it on their own systems.

From governments to medical to sports there has been a lot of implementation of blockchain the world regardless of relating to crypto currencies or not, people managed to use it as a database type of thing where they could potentially make sure it was p2p so that it would never be lost ever again, one or two places can get corrupted, there could be floods, fires, earthquakes, as long as it is p2p that data is all around the world and that means it would never be totally gone, which some companies liked and they started using blockchain because of it. Has it changed the whole world financially? No it hasn't but at least it made some difference.

I definitely believe that the beginning of some sort of technological evolution has started with Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies it's spawned, though it's much too early to say that this revolution is successful yet. Most people have heard of the word 'blockchain' before but don't actively use any services that utilize it, much less use cryptocurrencies at all. Most of the people who directly use crypto use it for trading or investment purposes at the moment, and direct uses for it are still very limited in the physical world.

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are still a very new and emerging technology and it will be some time before the best use cases are found for these types of technologies and they become more widely adopted but they're quickly evolving and will eventually become more successful

10 years is a long time. So mass adoption isnt shocking to see. The blockchain has nurture in due time and as a user and community supporting its advocacy, I can say that this innovative introduction of Satoshi becomes a thing. Can you imagine if blockchain doesnt discovered? I think we keep relying on such corrupt centralization of some financial institution hence blockchain can helo reduce those barriers keeping us improve. IMO few years from now the impossible thing they say about digital currency as the new system will be the next thing the authority will focus on.

Many popular and rich people go against Bitcoin and blockchain in the past now they are in support of the technology, even few countries ban the use of crypto and later the ban was lifted, big companies are now experimenting with the technology including central Banks, it's undeniable success so far and it's not hard to see

First we need the hype of cryptocurrency to die down a little, and then companies need to make something useful for the general public using Blockchain.

As of now, its only huge companies utilizing private blockchains.

We are still not at a stage where we can either say block chain has been successful or not . We are still in the early adoption days where the technology is evolving and industries are looking for ways to use block chain technology. I have a feeling that it will take another 5 years to see a level of adoption in industry.

Blockchain technology offers transparent ledgers and also good security. I think this is a technology that can be used for various business purposes because banks have studied and some have used blockchain technology. I think blockchain is a technological revolution because with transparent ledgers, people believe that there are no duplicates in transactions

From where i stand, blockchain has not seen the expected mainstream adoption yet and as that, it's distruption is not yet successful. A lot of experts have associated this to the downtrends and volatility of the cryptocurrency which is the major underlying application of blockchain as a lot of people who had little knowledge about the two concepts do see it as thesame and as a virtual currency for taking off profits. Recent Warren Buffet's interview about blockchain stating that he doesn't own a cryptocurrency and never will as they don't offer any real products validates my point.

For blockchain's disruption to be successful, the entire community has to be more focused on other real-life solution the giant tech can offers the world other than the digital currency seen as an investment option. We need project that will be more focus on implementing blockchains potentials into sectors such as agriculture, E-commerce, Education, real estate, law and legal system,  healthcare,  to mention few without even creating a token.  Thay way the outside world will see the technology other than the way it is currently being perceived.

His name is a technology in this digital ere, I thought it would progress and succeed. Technology every second will continue to advance and develop to launch the newest system. A new technology will certainly help and simplify work quickly.

If you ask me I would say that they have done a lot and have also opened the road for a new development. As time goes on I know for sure that people will start reinventing the idea of Blockchain and trying to create something that is way more better and well advanced, because technology never stay at a point, as time goes on new ideas keeps coming out and the old things are renewed.

Comparing the past life of digital currency to the present state the achievement is marginal, merely watching the crypto charts since the beginning shows that more interest has been diverted to the technology, after several bans in many countries it was lifted at last, after all the hates from Banks they are now joining the train

Yeah, everyone just focuses on the improvements on the financial side of the things when talking about blockchain and what type of things changed as well and so forth but when you look at other stuff you would realize that in reality blockchain actually provided a lot more than just finance, there are tens of sectors who have now started working with blockchain to improve what they have into blockchain to make a difference.

New or innovative technologies do take time for global acceptance and adoption and i will say that uptill now blockchain technology has been successful and with time it will dominate most of the sectors, even governments and big institutes are looking to make use of blockchain tech to improve on their performance and making governance more transparent and efficient.

It is a revolutionary technology, but many people think that we can use blockchain technology for everything and it seems that it doesn´t make any sense to put everything on the blockchain, at least for now.

Of course, it makes no sense to do this. many industries simply do not need to implement blockchain there. that is why many new projects fail because they think that creating a blockchain and introducing cryptocurrency can help their industry with something, but they do not do analysis.

You're correct, the reasons why global adoption has not taken place is the fear of hype and bubbles which has been in display on the side of cryptocurrency. This has scared many other  potentials projects from integrating their projects into the technology, although many are yet to accept the facts that this technology is transparency driving and can give more accurate profile to its bearers. In my judgement, this technology is a success in transit, let's wait for global explosion.

In my opinion, it still takes a long time for existing businesses to adapt and use blockchain technology. For business, I think Ethereum or similar projects can be a bridge for companies to achieve goals in streamlining costs.

blockchain technology has seen a trivial boost in popularity all over the recent year and saw billions in funding for initial coin offerings(ICO) im very much proudly with the brilliant idea regarding increasingly sale and the tech establishment members had determined on an idea and now were brainstorming on how to added that idea and guide it to fruition in the real world.

When other's way you have to cost huge money with third person, blockchain technology is helping you to make transaction low cost without third person. This is actually contradictory, but if we look at it from the revolutionary side, the blockchain is an extraordinary development in financial technology that offers effectiveness and transparency in every activity. On the other hand, this threatens the industry of third-party service providers or existing conventional systems, so this makes the blockchain quite controversial. So, in my opinion, there are always pros and cons, some are successful and some are not successful, there are many conveniences offered by the blockchain, and there are disadvantages for example not all aspects can be solved by blockchain and procurement which are quite expensive and complicated.

I believe that a revolution has nevertheless occurred, namely the revolution and evolution of money.
For the first time in our lives, we can use money that really belongs to us, which is difficult or impossible to track, the sending of which cannot be canceled or changed.

After 10 years blockchain technology is more adopted than internet when internet was 10 years old. So yes, we can say that it is successful and with upcoming economic crysis it could adopt much more quickly.  8)

We cannot expect blockchain to have a big impact during its early years. Companies and governments are harder to crack. Many of these blockchains need to be proven safe and reliable. And we do know that decentralization is not something that governments are fond of.

The blockchain revolution is already starting to have better impact lately though as internet continues to play major role in our daily lives.

Though I wouldn't say that Blockchain technology has not been successful taking a look from the adoption of the said technology in many industries. Don't forget that, many companies have adopted the use of Blockchain technology for their operations and others have also get involve. To me, success can be define as the acceptance of a product or commodity over 50%, so, going by this definition Blockchain technology has been experiencing success and will continue.

The recent pandemic that's ravaging the entire world made WHO to get involve in Blockchain technology, what about IBM among others who have now been using Blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology revolution has been successfully for people around the globe have easily adapt into this latest trend in lined with the modern technology providing benefits for everyone who have been using it for quite some time now. I wouldn't say the revolution is fully achieved but we or rather blockchain technology is halfway there. Halfway there, in the sense that, payments can now be made as fast as possible without any third-party or unreasonable charges. Most platforms are now adopting cryptocurrencies payment options into their services to accommodate more users and many more. On the other hand, there is need for more improvement starting with the fact crypto is yet to go massive, that is, being massively adopted into many platforms; a clear case scenario is the nature of the world today where most people sold to fiat because there are limited platforms accepting crypto.
However, on a greater note, blockchain technology have come a long way with good success stories but yet there is room for more improvements.

of course if you see the development of bitcoin itself is much felt by the users, although it still does not function optimally as a means of payment. and all that takes time and a process that is not fast. but other than that bitcoin has become a promising investment tool for the community in the long run
