Title: Actual Blockchain Games
Post by: Bullbearsaur on February 10, 2020, 09:39:43 PM
I've been into crypto for a while and have built pretty much all of my bitcoin stack through gaming and bounties. 2020 looks like it's going to be another huge year for gaming with tons of releases planned. I wanted to put together a list of actual gaming content or worthwhile stuff to grind.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

https://AxieInfinity.com - Collectibles game with a mobile app. Breed creatures and battle in the arena and story mode while earning SLP. I believe it was something like 2$ a hour last I checked if you kicked ass. The pre-sale creatures and bonus lands from their sales have been pretty valuable and they have quite a few updates planned. This was my best purchase as I won a free genesis land (12+ ETH in marketplace) with my arctics.
SLP is currently trading here https://uniswap.exchange/swap?outputCurrency=0x37236cd05b34cc79d3715af2383e96dd7443dcf1

https://GodsUnchained.com - Advertised out the wazoo. Everyone has heard about this TCG. You can grind out all of the common cards for a free set for the upcoming tourney and they have a good chunk of funding so they'll probably be around for a bit or run a few tourneys. No direct cash grind atm I think.

https://ForgottenArtifacts.io - One of the Enjin games. You have to buy adventure stones but then you can earn 4 NFTs everytime you run a dungeon. The Enjin wallet has a built-in marketplace which made it pretty easy to sell my drops. The gameplay is very reminiscent of diablo 2 or any other dungeon crawler but it's lacking skills/features atm since it's in alpha. There's a town with a quest system in place but it can be expensive to turn in some of the quests. There's a big update this week the dev said so we'll see what happens.

https://bravefrontierheroes.com/ - The newest game in the MCH ecosystem. The units are too pricey but MCH was good after you F2P'd for a while and got some units and sphere drops. Seems to be following the exact same path in game design and has already sold over 250k worth of units in their 1st sale. I bought the .99$ monthly package and will probably just get those monthly packs and whatever units I can grind for free.

https://skyweaver.com/ - Another TCG coming out but this is easily the best one. Good art style and game design and they've also secured a chunk of funding as well. You can't earn any NFTs yet as they are just in alpha but they'll have a leaderboard style contest as they transition to open beta. Pretty easy to grab an invite from their discord.

https://warriders.com/ - Twisted metal on PC. They've run a couple demo tests and already have live multiplayer gameplay. Looks like it's shaping up to be a pretty fun little game and all of the vehicles were pretty easy to flip. They're running contests on the regular but getting a decent car might cost 25$-50$. I haven't checked prices in a while.

https://www.csc-game.com/ - Space game. Explore, mine, and fight in your own space ship. They've done a neat little Star Trek promotion and though the start is a bit confusing it's pretty easy to play. Camera is locked in options at the beginning. Their in-game cryptocurrency can be mined by actually mining asteroids and theirs a F2P model for upgrading ships. Not a bad little game with updates to come. It does cost 9.99 on steam atm but you get a starter ship and kit.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's all I could think of at the moment. A lot of the other games are low quality or dead. Do you guys know any legitimate blockchain games to play or that are coming out soon? What's your best blockchain game to grind for bitcoin?

Don't post anything spammy, no dice or gambling crap. I want games we can actually play.

ED - Thread suggestions

Some of the blockchain games I have heard of it are CryptoAssault (https://cryptoassault.io/), Blankos (https://blankos.com/), Neondistrict (https://neondistrict.io/), Hashrush (https://hashrush.com/) and Cryptowars (https://cryptowars.jp/). You can check those games, you may like it.

Loads of great games here. how sure are you that they are paying for playing. many of us can actually play to win besides. the blockchain game plaform offers another avenue for fund generation. people made huge amount of money from gaming platform these days.

I played CA but it died in it's first iteration. I sold out before it did. ND is still being released I think but I'm waiting to find that one. Hashrush doesn't seem popular enough. I've had a lot more profit/fun in other games launch events. Cryptowars tourneys are ok but cheating happened in the few I played and it's kinda boring. Good list though mate, we're definitely walking the same streets lol.

Pretty sure, some might only be worth checking out but I posted what I know. Can talk about whichever in particular. The last tourney I played in was Taurion and I won 3.4 ETH in just leaderboard prizes + a bunch of NFTs

Hi Guys,

RedFOX Labs is launching their first mobile blockchain game and currently looking for testers that'll be rewarded with 40 free NFTs!

KOGS is the world’s first mobile game that calculates 100% of its logic on the blockchain. Unlike other blockchain games making calculations off-chain before recording onto a distributed ledger, KOGS chronicles gameplay onto a blockchain in real-time.

Gamers pit their collectible NFTs against online opponents in this digitized version of a schoolyard classic from the early ‘90s — POGS, or milk caps. Whether playing for fun or for keeps, competitors take turns hurling specialized NFTs — Slammers — onto stacks of NFT game pieces, trying to make them land face up.

All KOGS NFTs have varying degrees of scarcity, with Starter Packs and Booster Packs containing slots reserved for rare and ultra-rare versions. Launching after the game is an NFT marketplace where collectors can buy, sell, and trade game pieces.

Feel free to sign up at http://kogs.gg/!!

Lot's of awesome blockchain games on the net  right now but there's an incoming blockchain VR games. Have you heard about the https://ilcoincrypto.com/ ? I read also they were developing a "clash of clan" like blockchain game called "clash of ilcoin". I think the two games were unique.

in my search for blockchain games, to this day I am not paying close attention so I just keep playing android mobile games like MLBB. I also played Sword & Magic which is EOS based, but I stopped because of the difficulty of reaching those who played earlier, I also lost my appetite for being annoyed. hopefully, there will also be free blockchain games that no one has to buy to play.

https://spellsofgenesis.com/ is real fun game. There are also cards of blockhain projects from pre 2016 time. They still develop more and have quite a bit players.  It is also one of rare blochain games its asset exist on counterparty.  Counterarty was created by burning Bitcoin and uses Bitcoin as transaction fees.

OP, you can add Agareum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5151390) game to the list. Strange that no one mentioned it so far. This game even had a bounty campaign on two cryptocurrency forums.

While playing and winning player earn AGR tokens (so far they are not transferable and are help on the webpage). Devs promised that these tokens will be user in in-game shop. AGR has not listed at the moment.

The first Blockchain game I came across was Rollercoin, this has a simple and easy layout to navigate.

Rollercoin is a virtual mining game where you play to earn real Bitcoins and altcoins
It takes the concept of Bitcoin mining but instead of having to know all the intricate details of the Blockchain; you can test your skills, complete missions, undertake tasks and play puzzle games to earn real BTC, DOGE, ETH and the new game-exclusive coin - RLT (Roller Token)

Learn about hashrates, decide how you want to split your power, make upgrades and tweaks to boost your mining power
Build and develop your mining data center with virtual custom mining hardware.

This game does not require a start-up cost and has the option to withdrawal for BTC with altcoin withdrawals coming soon.

Has anyone tried playing the Age of ILCoin on Android?

Age of ILCoin it’s a tower defense game in which you need to stop aliens Save mankind and also in the process protect our treasure (ILCoin). This games its Develop by ILCoin Dev Team, Specter Gaming, and Bot Robotics.

Here's their website link: https://www.ilcoincrypto.com (https://www.ilcoincrypto.com) and the Age of ILCoin game download link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BotStudios.AgeofILCoin1_1_0&hl=en (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BotStudios.AgeofILCoin1_1_0&hl=en)

NOTE: You can earn micro ILCoins while playing the game. Also, the next update will also include extra story stages, including the withdrawal module so you'd be able to convert your micro ILCoins to ILCoins (ILC) cryptocurrency.

I dont know OP if you heard of Cartesi  they have a gaming dApps called creepts where its a tower defense strategy game. Recently they conducted an IEO on Binance and also have a competition where the pool is $50k and everybody suddenly becomes a strstegiest on tower def game. For me its really a good game and they are still on process of improving and developing it.

Here is the game site which you could practice and play it with various maps to choose from.

https://play.creepts.io

Hope you can add it on the list cause this is also related to blockchain under eth network.

Nice compilation, my friend playing axie infinity and he said its really fun and of course he already spend some eth on it to make his character stronger.

Thanks for sharing your games. There are plenty of really great blockchain games on the PlayStore. The first ones I tried were ads, just annoying so I stopped playing. Hopefully these three I'm downloading right now, which: Age of ILCoin, Crazy Defense, and Spells of Genesis I like. I will also study them and will come back here to provide reviews. Maybe tomorrow I'll start playing them. I do not want to play those types of pay to win.

We also have Lightnight A Bitcoin-integrated battle royale game that is still under development that is close to a Fortnite clone.

They say that you could earn bitcoin by hitting other players and vice versa when other players hit you...the game balance is updating every time a player hits you or if you pick up a valuable item.

Also, some items in the game are worth bitcoin and can be pick up when other players are dead,
The game allows you to purchased using your bitcoin as a payment method,

I agree, where's the challenge if you simply pay to win?

Rather, playing to earn is something that's at least worthwhile instead. I'm playing Age of ILCoin on Android right now since I'm a zombie addict by default.

I can't play that game Age of ILCoin, I installed it on my smartphone android device unfortunately it doesn't work to me. After tapping the start, I don't know what to do next. I'm stuck. But when I try to register, it only prompts unknown error. I already tried it many times, but nothing happens. So now, I am focusing on playing Spells of Genesis. What I liked most about them was the precursors, the cryptodozers. This game is quite addictive because it's really easy to play. Maybe I'm going to play it all day if I don't just run out of coins. Plus the dolls are cute. I remember that I only played in the mall before. Its beauty is that it automatically rolls a coin every 30 seconds. And you can also receive 50 coins daily if you open the treasure chest that will cost only $ 0.25. You only pay a network fee, so it's still free. You can use your debit card to pay.

I've played Twisted Metal when I was still in high school with the classic Playstation One console. I could have been excited in playing War Riders, but this threat came out.

I don't know if this is really a "threat file" found in War Riders game that could compromise my PC. Can someone enlighten me on this for me to play War Riders safely?

Thanks!

I play dcity on hive blockchain. It's like real world city simulator. You optimize it, earn daily income in form of hive and sim (which can be traded in hive-engine for hive or other tokens).

It's not time consuming and you only need to check every once in a while.

https://www.blockchaingamer.biz/news/14085/crazy-defense-heroes-experimental-chest-sale-includes-nfts-and-in-game-items/

Been kinda addicted to Crazy Defense Heroes lately. My avatar is currently Level 8 and I loved the game so much.  I even bought some in-game items for tower upgrades, etc. Despite that the difficulty level increases, I definitely loved it. It’s all about developing my mind to strategize the best positions for my towers to defend. So many levels and it’s so addicting!

However, I haven’t tried buying some stuff using crypto though (only Google Pay at the moment). It would be great once blockchain was finally integrated to this game.

P.S. I’m also taking a look at Axie Infinity. However, after watching videos of various Axie Infinity players in playing few to several hours a day, they only average like less tha $3.00 a day. Haven’t bought my Axies yet, lowest price not less than $10 for a single Axie.

Also, try playing Spells of Genesis if you haven't played it yet, I'm sure you'll like it too. You can fuse cards to make your card stronger. It also does not lose its daily quest in exchange for coins that cards can buy in the shop. And if you want to crystallize a card, you can get diamonds to use to upgrade the cards. They also offer coin rewards monthly, the amount depends on your activity. Then this month, start receiving DAI.

Do any of you also play JTCB (Job Tribes) here? I just saw it promoted on Twitter the other day. DEAPcoin is their in-game cryptocurrency. They have also made five paydays, every month the distribution of rewards. There is also a daily bonus. It's easy to play because it looks like card games only have quests. I'm trying to find on social media now to get the link but I can no longer find it.

I am not familiar with blockchain games. Is it about gambling too? Why is there a need of blockchain in games where in fact that games now are working really great though I may consider RPG games for blockchain would be great.

Anyway, since many of us here are addicted to playing games then adding block chain may be a feature that could bring the game into the next level. I will probably check some of the games OP has been listed later.

Actual blockchain games are different from gambling. In gambling you need to bet or wager, you also need to deposit there to have a bankroll and you need to win to earn money. But here in blockchain games, you can earn in-game cryptocurrency uses in addition to your crypto assets and it is also up to you if you want to convert to fiat. There are also games where you can buy items to immediately increase the level of progress of your account. Anyway, RPG is also my favorite genre in gaming because it is enjoyable and I like those with quests.

I tried to launch War Riders game after installation. Unfortunately, my Avast antivirus detected something here:

https://i.imgur.com/rTnyCnw.png

I've played Twisted Metal when I was still in high school with the classic Playstation One console. I could have been excited in playing War Riders, but this threat came out.

I don't know if this is really a "threat file" found in War Riders game that could compromise my PC. Can someone enlighten me on this for me to play War Riders safely?

Thanks!
After I read the explanation on the forum about IDP. Generic virus detection by several antiviruses such as avast which is the antivirus that you are currently using.
IDP.generic is not a threat file, it is a False Positive file and is not dangerous for your device.
Sometimes files that are used to make the game more optimal are considered viruses.

a more detailed explanation you can read at Steamcommunity:

It's a gambling game/platform. That is different from the real actual blockchain game. These games we play do not have to pay or deposit to play. Yes, there are other games that need to deposit or purchase items to get started but only one time. But in gambling like that, you have to pay for every game you play.

Website: https://chaingames.io/

It’s called Crypto Super Kart and the testnet version went live last Friday. We also have a chance to win some testnet Chain as well. Their token is also available on Uniswap.

Reminds me of my teenage years playing the classic Super Mario Kart. This is going to be a fun racing game on the blockchain!

When will the launch of that game be played? Okay because there is also an app for smartphones besides desktop. In case it is not free-to-play because there is an entry fee worth ranges from $ 5 to $ 100. In quarter 4, they also have a shooting game based on their roadmap. It's fun to think that blockchain games are being developed a lot.

I watched that last night live, I just had a bit of a problem with my internet connection.  But it's still okay.  That includes the two Filipinos who have been playing Axie Infinity for a long time.  Kookoo Axie Trainer how he found out about it and how he got started here and Gabby who has been in the blockchain game for 2 years now has her own Battle Racers.  Sebastien's The Sandbox was first introduced and Jihoz was followed by his Axie Infinity. I found it a lot.

There is a new game running on litecoin blockchain called LiteBringer (https://www.litebringer.com/) by Cipsoft, its MMORPG based game released around a week ago. As far as I know it only available for Windows (I can be wrong) you need to pay the subscription fees to be able to play it, 1 Euro for one character per month (2 lites at the initial phase).

No need to worries if you don't have litecoin at the moment because there is a faucet on this game and it will be enough to play 4 characters for one month.

I did not know that there are too many blockchain games already being made. I thought that blockchain games would never get that much attention unless if it is design for gambling. I did not see also some projects like ICO promoting blockchain games. Hence, this games might be created outside in the promotion of the forum. So, how does this blockchain game works? Why it did need a blockchain for a game and how could it integrated. I have been into playing games like those games introduce in esporta for betting like dota2 and cs go but those games were not relying on blockchain.

You don't really see blockchain games being promoted here in the forum just like they do on gambling platforms.  Maybe the extent of those interested in gambling has not been matched.  But there are also many communities forming in blockchain gaming ... That is why many have been added to the list and they are still gaining popularity.  The betting you are referring to is DOTA2 and CSGO, which is esports betting.  It is undeniable that it both provides excitement and entertainment in the game.

The instantaneous most significant success story of the wedding date between blockchain technology and gaming was that the 2017 cryptocurrency craze a game became so popular that it involved the Ethereum network, reaching an all-time high number of transactions and significantly slowing down the network. Each cryptocurrency is unique and is owned by the player verified through blockchain and can change its value depending on the market.

Very good news indeed. I was thinking for weeks if I’m going to give Axie Infinity a shot or not. I’m actually into Super Crypto Kart by ChainGames.io. Was inspired about the story of some Filipinos who are trying to make a living by just playing Axie Infinity on their phones while under lockdown.

Still trying to study the possibilities and negatives of playing Axie Infinity, watching more videos from other players who are playing this game for few to several hours a day.

I'm not a fan of racing games because I don't really know how to drive in real life.  😆 But I also tried to play some such games even when I was young.  I like the ones with beautiful graphics and exciting features like the cart you played with, the ones with combat while leading the finish line.  Don't hesitate to try Axie Infinity as well.  I hope you will not be disappointed with the price of SLP today, because that naturally happens with the prices of tokens.  For now, I just save it for farming to make it even more.  Then I will probably sell it when I need it and when I see its price rise again until it reaches or exceeds the initial / ATH price.  I look forward to their new launch gameland of Lunacia and Ronin.

Quote: "Our primary token projects at this time are SAND and REVV, both of which are utility tokens in their respective game ecosystems (i.e., SAND in The Sandbox, and REVV in F1® Delta Time and other branded motorsport games, including MotoGP).

All together, the turnover for our two primary tokens during the month of October was US$245 million, consisting of US$24.55 million for REVV and US$219.69 million for SAND.
This does not include the millions of dollars worth of LAND and F1 cars and components that Animoca Brands sold and that players traded in 2020.

[...]A trade volume of US$245 million is highly notable, especially considering that both SAND and REVV have yet to attain maturity through their upcoming full game launches and subsequent user adoption. To illustrate the significance of the scale of activity for these projects, consider that US$245 million per month, when annualized, places the blockchain gaming ecosystem of Animoca Brands ahead of the GDP of Djibouti, Bhutan, and various nations, and just behind Greenland (based on UN data for 2018)."

You might also check out Crypto Against All Odds that was launched on Steam too. The concept is quite similar to Plants vs Zombies, but the ones who defend the Genesis are Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Monero, etc. I am still exploring the game though, but not sure if we could earn some real coins or tokens here. It’s still a fun game to play by the way, just for crypto awareness.

Thanks for sharing your experience here. I guess I’ll try that out instead of investing into Axies where they are now very expensive along with the gas fees. Not bad for $50/week, it’s quite a decent amount.

How many hours a day you’ve played that game to achieve $50/week by the way?

As what I've watched from Cagyjan's Youtube video about Blankos, this looks like a fun blockchain game to play.

I just saw this game and I also want to try it because it looks entertaining, and it will also be free-to-play with the option to purchase items based on what I read.  The system recommendations for installing the launcher on the desktop are very high, my laptop may not be able to handle it.  But I will still try it.  Thanks for sharing this.

You've got a lot of choice. I've seen games like Axie Infinity and My Defi Pet that's becoming popular. But the latter is still in the development phase and they're still trying to make the game to be profitable.

While Axie, I saw people earning from it. Not that much from a daily basis but still you can sell the rewards in the market like Binance as they support the token reward that's being given by that time.
