As mentioned in the topic this is an query about reporting them effectively and anonymously.

If you want to report illegal source of income you can contact Joint Commissioner of Income Tax or Additional Commissioner of Income Tax in the region where the source is located and you will be eligible to get a reward up to 1 crore if you are able to provide the correction information about illegal sources.

So whats the deal here  ;). If you provide the tip your privacy will be kept as a secret unless you are weeding out any politician or someone with power  :D.

I have a friend who is working in Income tax department,he asked me to maintain your anonymity while reporting anyone because insiders will give the tip to that criminals much sooner than this case will be considered by higher officials.And also he said reporting such kind of this won't get any serious punishment to the criminals other than making penalty added to the tax amount to be paid so income tax will not bring any serious punishment to them.

Any separate department available to report them in police department who can take sever actions?

As far as it is linked to the monetary payment system, I think only the Income Tax Department would be the approximate department to report such crime. Storing money without paying taxes is a kind of offence which is no longer been tolerated by the government or the ITR department. In case if any individual hides a huge number of funds without paying tax than that individual might be sentenced 2 years of imprisonment along with hefty penalty.

You can totally screw the individual you are tending to report. Just make sure to be anonymous because India is a country where money works greater than power so that individual might even screw your life if ever he gets to know about you.

If that individual has a large number of black money than you can even anonymously call the ITR and tip them about the same. They would surely take some action if ever there isn't any corrupt officer in the department.

I am planning to send registered posts with all the evidences to multiple IT offices located in my region.Do you guys this will be the effective way from this we can maintain anonymity and also can increase the chance of these evidences to get under someone who is not corrupted.

^ Generally, almost all Government Departments ignore anonymous tips because most of the anonymous tips are given just to divert the focus of the officials. But if you could provide some rock solid proofs of an illegal activity, they might enquire about it first before taking any adverse action on the culprit. By that time, these is chance for leakage of information too. So it's best to provide the information to your friend who is working in Income Tax Department and ask him to protect your identity rather than sending anonymous tips. This is the best approach, if you trust him. If you don't trust him, it's better to send anonymous letters.

He is the one suggested me too keep my identity anonymous while reporting but if you want do at your own risk he said.

Income tax doesn't have severe punishment for this,only they might seize the assets if there is no proof for source of income but how can we get them jailed.They are doing illegal things and living like they can do what they want and can manage anything with the money.

But as Indian citizen its hard to digest that .
