Title: Is Brave the best crypto friendly web browser?
Post by: CryptoCardNews on February 11, 2020, 05:45:56 PM
Toolbars like Pei and Lolli seem great at earning small amounts of Bitcoin.  However, Brave seems like the best browser to actually get rewarded for just surfing the web.  Are there any others?

Yes the brave browser is very user-friendly and we can earn regular income from them just using brave browser in any device like mobile or computer. The earnings is always depending on country based so I am getting around $5 wroth of bat coins every month. Except brave I never find good one till now.

I haven't used Brave browser but they have been heavily criticized for being a "privacy" browser for their users who wants to continue earning BAT tokens. KYC is of course what you wouldn't expect on a browser claiming to value their user's privacy since they are at the same time asking for more details about you just for you earn back from them. I mean sure you are earning money but will you value those few dollars you earn from BAT tokens in exchange for your personal information? If you are that kind of guy I think I have no right on stopping you, I'm just here informing you on what you will have to give in order to earn those tokens from Brave.

Yes its crypto friendly web browser, you can earn BAT through it.  Were there any other browser that gives away BAT or other coins while using their browser.

Brave browser is good  but I can't say its private because its really not. To those who hasn't tried it yet. When you install brave browser and wants to earn BAT, you will be asked to submit KYC documents for them.

I can not say anything about profitability, but Opera is one of the crypto-friendly browsers: https://help.opera.com/en/touch/crypto-wallet/
There is such a section in the Setting for crypto transactions:

You can have something like same with some wallet extensions installed in Chrome or Firefox. OP is searching for reward based system just like Brave browser has.

Brave browser is good  but I can't say its private because its really not. To those who hasn't tried it yet. When you install brave browser and wants to earn BAT, you will be asked to submit KYC documents for them.

They don't ask for KYC for BAT they earned through surfing web but there are some circumstances where they ask for KYC unless you are adding above some limit to the wallet. Read more here : https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032158891-What-is-KYC-

Yes I am still using brave broswer, in fact it is one of most user-friendly browser you can think of with good user interface of course. Also, although I have not tried earning through it but from the little review from friends they seems to be enjoying it. Another point is, it is a privacy broswer which also have made it gained more value in the midst of various users. Another browser which is also user-friendly is Chrome browser which is followed by Opera. If am to rate, I would rate Brave first, Opera second and Chrome third.

I thought that there are no other browsers that offers the same thing as crypto rewards with Brave Browser. This is a good initiative for the Opera browser and for sure the number of their users will increase in due time. I still have some balance on my Brave browser upon clicking those articles that they are wanting you to click. It's not that much but a great reward with a legit cryptocurrency which is BAT.

I don't think there is anything out there like Brave, with the build in adblocker, cryptowallets, webtorrents and earning system.
It is definitely the best crypto friendly wallet in my opinion, and with over 8 million users in 2019 it is already used a lot as well.

They added advertisements for my country recently and I have been using it which is really nice, I already moved over using Brave completely as well.
I didn't think it was possible not using Chrome anymore but Brave has proven otherwise.

There are ads for Browser user but like what you've said it still depends on the location, I'm not earning as much compared to you. I like using Brave than Chrome but I'm using these two for all my online activity, but maybe in the future we;ll also see some programs like Brave, who knows Google will come out one, but that's far fetched right now.

So far I only use a normal browser at work and have never used the Brave browser, if indeed the browser can produce a little bitcoin, how does it work? because I really want to find out.

The main point of the OP is to get rewarded regardless of the amount.

They don't ask for KYC for BAT they earned through surfing web but there are some circumstances where they ask for KYC unless you are adding above some limit to the wallet. Read more here : https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032158891-What-is-KYC-
Yeah you don't need to get verified as long as you don't withdraw the BAT you earned from browsing. In short, you cannot really profit from it unless you are going to provide your identification.

So far I only use a normal browser at work and have never used the Brave browser, if indeed the browser can produce a little bitcoin, how does it work? because I really want to find out.
No, you will not earn BTC for browsing using brave. You will eanr their native token which is BAT.
Please read the OP carefully.

If you have no plan on using it to tip others and you prefer your privacy, don't bother activating the brave rewards. Do not use their wallet also.

I've never used but there was another browser that it was claiming what it giving rewards as BTC. But as I said, I never used it.
So why do you need that. Use Brave and earn some BAT. And if you want, you can always sell BAT's and GET BTC easily.

I also knew about the Brave browser a few months ago and have been trying to make money from this browser but until now I have not been able to earn any BAT during the past time. In my opinion most of the people who earn BAT have to do KYC and that makes me feel dislike. I think this browser is not for me and I will continue to browse Google Chrome.

I'm also using the Brave Browser sometimes but I was not satisfied, the only reason that I still use it because of the BAT token rewards. base on my experience using it, I can say that it's nothing special about Brave Browser aside for Ad and tracking Blockers it was slow and getting hang every time I launched it, I don't know if the problem is between my internet connection or my computer, but when I'm using another browser the problem was solved so I presume that the problem was on the Brave Browser side. it was the same experience when I'm also using the CryptoTAB browser.

There is a dilemma about the brave browser. You are using a supbar browser compared to Chrome, yet you are also making money for using it no matter what you do. So, there is pros and cons to using brave, you may use something faster and better with chrome or you can make money by using brave, how much money you make depends on how much time you spend on brave and what you do with it so I can't really say how much you can make, however for people who live in third world countries, even if it is not like a salary (would be stupid to expect a salary worth from just surfing) it is still something valuable compared to making literally zero.

However, people in places like USA or UK, making maybe 10 bucks a year is basically equals to making zero as well so they might not prefer it.

Its one of the most crypto friendly of course since Brave browser was developed to monetise web browsing that pays you with BAT tokens yes its the first browser I know that uses digital coins and distribute the rewards without the involvements of any third party company.

Brave offers earning opportunities and also better anonymity while using crypto related searches than other well known browsers but if you are looking for earning then brave is the best but for anonymity still TOR should be preferred than other so you won't get traced easily.

I think the most important thing is to evaluate the reputation of the browser which you are using. not always good profit may be the best factor of choice. Brave for me is one of the highest quality projects to date, whose results the cryptocurrency community can evaluate every day.

Frankly, I do not see much difference between the Brave browser and the rest in the format of cryptocurrency friendliness.
In my opinion, Mozilla, Yandex browser or chrome are quite suitable browsers for use within the crypto industry.
However, I like the Brave browser because it has a built-in TOP, a built-in crypto wallet, like the Opera browser, and it also makes it possible to earn cryptocurrency by viewing ads.

Used to browse with Presearch and some other similar websearchers several months ago... I think this kind of earnings are too small to count on them. You should invent some bots maybe if you want to get some cash :)

Like what you have said. Maybe there's no difference but Brave let us earn real crypto that we can sell as bat tokens has a lot of markets. But Im still curious how the ads working best for brave and giving a lot of bat tokens for veiwing is this somehow like faucet where from browsing they also generated income from its users.

It is advertisement free and compared to other browsers it is very fast and I have earned around $900 BAT tokens.

Ive used this browser but not yet opening up the instructions to earn free bat tokens. That's amazing on how you could earn $900 worth of bat tokens. Can I ask how long this would take to earn this amount? Also what activities is necesary to earn bat tokens. Im thinking more like referrals than just simply browsing ads or using this browser.

Yes these days mostly crypto community prefers brave browser because of rewards which they are getting earn while using it but the best advantage of this browser which looks impressive to me the browser blocks unwanted ads to avoid spam which is absolutely a plus point personally I am using this browser for a long time and I didn't face any kind of problem with it.

It is true that the brave browser is crypto friendly because you get to earn small amounts of bat tokens each time you use the browser.
But Mozilla, Chrome, Yandex (that i have used) are equally crypto friendly to me because they allow the meta mask extension to work perfectly on their browsers.

Each browser contribute to crypto currency growth in different ways.

Indeed, I have been changing my privous web browser to brave browser. I really like this web so far, the platform is really mild rather than the other web browser IMO.

Other than that, at least in five months since I used this webstore I've got some Basic Attention Token (BAT) freely. And was forced me to always make a useful article because so far I am being creator in this platform, seem like it highly recommended for the user of cryptocurrency. As for another platform that same with Brave, I've heard about blind.io but I haven't tried it.

With some rewards that you can acquire after using brave browser more and more people who also engaged with crypto industry are shifting from
their previous browser to brave, showing their supports and trying to take advantage of those free coins, it's good to see the development and more
support coming from the community.

Actually it's true that Brave also rewards it users in addition to surfing the web. It also good to know that Brave is very easy to navigate and being able to reward it users also means that the crypto space has come to stay, that is to say that Brave is making the crypto space proud. Another broswer which is trying it's best to be in accordance with that the future holds is Opera. Opera also have a crypto wallet feature. This goes to show that irrespective of what most people think of this space, it has come to stay and it's just a matter of time.

Nothing other than TOR gives complete anonymity while browsing, and even ISP can't trace you back.

But earning cryptos doesn't mean its crypto friendly, even their KYC is going against it at the moment.

I have used PreSearch search engine a couple of times and seems to work nicely... don't use it for some time though...
As for Brave, I've tried it full of hopes, but the reward part unfortunately doesn't work on my area (I'm in Europe, so don't know)... nevertheless I would not go through KYC for a handfull of tokens... for me KYC is a no go!

Talking about being friendly, brave is very user-friendly and  really the fact that users earns while browsing with it makes it exceptional among other browsers because I don't think there is any other browser with such support for cryptocurrency. There is another browser too but it doesn't reward users like in the case of Brave, rather it has support for a crypto wallet; this browser is known as Opera browser.  However, owing to the reality am skeptical about some types of wallets am yet to test the Opera crypto wallet, maybe one day I would try and check it out.

If you are just looking for a crypto friendly browser then it is the right time for you to use the brave browser because we can see that this brave browser was designed for cryptocurrency related stuffs and if you guys will ask if this browser is safe I can confidently say that it is safe in which I already tried it many times so I am confident to say that it is really safe. When it comes to the platform I barely say that it is just like the google chrome in which you can handle and manage extensions whenever you want so you will not have any problem on using it otherwise it is a crypto friendly browser in which you can dive or do research about cryptocurrency to be able to get knowledge about it.

I probably heard about lolli but never tried it personally. The rewards on my BB is still there and I haven't claimed it.

It's not that much but you can add that to your portfolio if you just want to see that you have earned from just simply browsing the web. I guess there's no other browser that allows you to receive incentive by just browsing.

Big or small amount, it's already a good incentive but it's not good to consider it as a way of living just like what others are complaining about the reward.

if you have stopped using Brave browser just because of high memory then I stopped due to security factors, I still doubt the security of this browser. I prefer to go back to using a normal browser like Google Chrome and without installing any add ons so it is a little safer.

There is no other crypto related browser same as brave that give users a way to earn while using it.
To earn higher using brave it all depends on the country and the ads given by browser. The more ads the more chance you earn higher amount.

For me, earning btc is not an important issue. I like the built-in ad blocking tool, Brave Shields, which helps to speed up the loading of web pages and also prevents tracking to users from many malicious websites. Brave Shields also statistics the number of ads and links blocked with time saved from what the browser is blocking right on the new tab interface.

it is indeed good to collect crypto from a little. but I was a little hesitant with that because during installation, my antivirus suddenly gave a warning to Brave browser, so I canceled it. is that really dangerous?

Brave Shields is the best support tool I use often, it blocks unnecessary ads for your computer. It is friendly to all platforms built into every operating system

Toolbars like Pei and Lolli seem great at earning small amounts of Bitcoin.  However, Brave seems like the best browser to actually get rewarded for just surfing the web.  Are there any others?

There is another browser which you could use to earn Bitcoin. It is known as CryptoTab, it is not as better as Brave but you cann earn Bitcoin while surfing the web. You can read this article if you want to know more about it https://cointikka.com/cryptotab-browser-is-it-better-brave-browser/

The review so far from users of Brave browser says it all. I have been using the browser for a long time and although it has some resemblance with Chrome (or so I thought) it still proves to be better owing to the fact that the browser has more features, is more user/crypto friendly and users can also earn from it. I think if the team continues with their improvements, the browser will stand a better chance in the contribution towards exposing more about crypto to the world. Furthermore, I don't know about any other maybe because I'm yet to research on it.

Brave is more than great if you use it on only one device, preferably laptop/computer.

I have to use it on 2-3 different computers and the smartphone. And then the problems start: temporarily there's no sync for the browse history and bookmarks, 3rd party password managers don't work good on many smartphones (including mine), .. and all this is a show stopper.

The rewards are extremely low, I don't believe it worth to pick your browser / extensions based on that.

I like it, it is much faster and safer than the classic Google Chrome and it also helps the creators of content to get tips for they work. So when you send a tip through the Brave browser, the creator of content has to learn about it and come to crypto, so it helps to spread a word about cryptocurrencies!  8)

I used the browser with a portable version (not for money, I just like to test everything new myself, and not read sometimes meaningless reviews), I liked the ad blocking, fast (but I wouldn’t say that very much) and anyway, this is another Google, not in it’s got its zest, perhaps, except that it’s possible to earn a couple of coins on it. I think browsers have a different purpose and you don’t need to make multi-harvesters from them. Opera 12 this was the thing.

The last time I used a browser other than Google Chrome was more than a decade ago. During 2010-11, the organization in which I was working banned the usage of Google Chrome. They asked us to use Mozilla Firefox, after claiming that Chrome was unsafe. Pandemonium followed, as none of us agreed to those conditions. Everyone got so used to Chrome, that they refused to use any other browser.
