Title: How to choose the right bounty for Newbie? Get rid of fake/scam project
Post by: Cryptolico27 on February 12, 2020, 04:05:55 PM
Good Day Everyone......

Upon reading on various topic these past few days and referring to my friends advise to choose the correct bounty, i'm a little bit confuse on how can we identify they correct bounty campaign to join with? Are there any series of steps to identify if the project is fake or not? Do we have a checklist on how we can confirm if the project is going to be a fraud?

As a newbie like us, what can you recommend for us to get rid of those project since a lot of project begins to collapse since BTC is souring high again?

All you thoughts will be beneficial to us.

Regards.

One truth about crypto currency is that you cannot predict precisely when there will be ups and downs.

So when it comes to bounty hunting, theres one way to find out.

You have to dyor, get details about the token, find out if their product interests you and has the probability to create hype.
Check the bounty terms if it is favorable, if there will be a cap for participants,

Check the supply allocated to bounty, and then explore the bounty segments to earn more.

But remember, first and foremost is to DYOR.

It's becoming difficult to determine good and bad projects. A good start might be checking the people working for that project and if you are familiar with them having a good history for their background, decide to join.

But if the other way around, skip them. There's a factor that others are applying and that is looking into the bounty manager if he's trustworthy and does have a history of successful bounties.

I saw that your account was created just 1 day ago. I think you should focus on posting first and read some of the rules in this forum. For now it's very difficult to get a bounty that pays, but my suggestion to join all bounty campaigns doesn't hurt. maybe there will be some who pay.

As a newbie like us, what can you recommend for us
Just do these, bro:
1. Focus to learn necessary things about crypto, blockchain, bitcoin, and forum.
2. Grow your bitcointalk account till Senior Member.
3. Forget to join bounties paid on altcoins via social media campaigns. (most of them don't worth anymore, just waste time)
4. Be active on your local board.
5. Learn how people can gain merits and be useful members.
6. Then, just try to join the campaigns paid in BTC or top altcoins.

Review every project you want to participate if you want to join a good one.
Check the team and feedback of the project by investors.
Check the roadmap map of the project its better if they have already working product .
Review background every team members past experience and think if they are qualified to make what they are promising to do.
Community every good project has strong community if they dont have it,expect that the project will failed.

What you need to do to put the fundamental of the coin itself at the top of everything before you wanna start to choose the right bounty. The fundamental of the coin should be whether it has already listed on the exchange site or not, the team who were running the project, how big supporters that already joined the project.
I wanna tell you some past bounties that already paid the hunters (ended last month)
1. tachyon
2. OGN

those two projects just an example about when you are doing a correct analysis of the fundamental of the project and you can get the right bounty. As some people said about that before and just DYOR.
You can also join in the bounty telegram group to learn more about that.

Its so annoying how a newly created account that ask directly some question regarding bounty. I think better yet focus first on how to mingle and join discussion here rather than asking this forever question regarding which campaign or advise on how to spot a good bounty.

It's becoming difficult to determine good and bad projects.
Not really good campaigns are always there and its just a matter of effort on how you are going to do research if they have a value later on. Bad projects can also easily spot if your familiar with some technical aspect such as smart contract, github code and some evidence that they are just luring some newbies on the hook.

There is no checking lists for identifying fake projects, the truth is knowing how to identify scam or fake project is. gradual  process, if you are a newbie to crypto space it can't be  avoided, find out about the team why going to their YouTube link, if they are real you will see them in video and do visit scam accusation thread too, sometimes its life saving

It has become hard to determine whether a project is a scam or legit now days. There is also another issue of investors not investing in a project.

I generally check whether the project is product ready and is the project creating product that is for the crypto markets, unfortunately there are very less projects related to the crypto market.

I only participate is signature bounty as all the rest pay very less.

Bounty market is very saturated now days, my recommendation to you is to first build merits and then apply for gambling signature bounty. Remember you have to be a Member first in order to apply.

There is no 100% prediction in order to identify the right project as researching about the project will only give you a better chance in avoiding those shit project but will not fully guarantee you to avoid those scammers.

What we can give are the only basis. You can start by looking to their project whether it has a big chance to dominate the market then you can look for the team behind the project whether they are genuine and they can compete in marketing their project.

Aside from that, you can also check whether that project has a big capital or they have partnered with big companies out there.

If you’re looking for a bounty that will pay you well, then you should consider the ones with less participants, because the lesser the participants the more it’s going to pay. But before that, and as you have said, you need to find the right ICO that’s not being run by scammers. The first thing you will have to do is take time and read everything about the project, you don’t just join any project you see without taking to see whether it’s promising or not.

Another thing you should look at which is very important is the team and whether they can deliver what they have promised. Knowing the team is very important, because that’s how you can tell whether you should trust them or not. Then check their telegram group and white-listed investors, and the list goes on. After you have confirmed the quality of the bounty you can then go back to what I have said at first on how much it’s going to pay.

I think OP is trying to find a way to lessen our time and effort to find only the paying campaigns.
But I guess it is really hard to do right now.

Now I think you don’t even need to choose projects. there are so few of them now that only 1 out of 50 will be a normal project, but even it does not guarantee that you can earn some money. The easiest way is to participate only in those bounties whose coins are already being traded on exchanges.

It has no guarantee for every bounty campaign in the forum "except those directly paid by any liquid cryptocurrency such as BTC, ETH. because we all know that every project was just relying on the outcome of its ICO, IEO, etc if those fundraising methods won't work I'm sure those bounty campaigns was also a failure, thats why promoting bounty campaigns is like a gamble for everybody and no one can say accurately in advance. But it's better to do some verification/research about the project that we want to promote, especially the composition of the team and its whitepaper.

It's because scam projects will convince you that they are trustworthy and if you don't have enough understanding that it was their approach to take advantage of you then you will surely fall for it. Finding the project that will help you earn profit takes some time and effort, doing your own research is always suggested because it will help you determine which project is worth it and profitable. It's definitely worth of time because you will get to see various of information about that specific project. It will guide you on making the right decision especially nowadays that scammers can easily find another way to deceive you when someone busted their system.

I might be biased as someone who has spent thousands of hours of time developing unique projects, but I think the uniqueness of a project showing how much time must have been involved to create it goes a long way to weeding out scams. A lot of scams start out as legit projects but then people involved become corrupt over time. A web of trust system with peer review is my outlook on a good way to resolve this. There are maybe five innovative cryptocurrencies out there for example. Of course this is only one factor of many factors to consider.

Well if there is nothing that will stop a team from scamming since they can act like they are totally legit with all their profiles, even have videos of them on youtube then its likely to just follow your intuition.

Looking however to the website, the project's concept, team profiles will give you the idea whether they can be a scam or not.

That's not a bad idea, I also agree to take part in real campaigns like tokens already listed on the exchange. but the problem is that there are rarely such projects, sometimes on the contrary the project is successful, tokens have a high selling price, but their team does not pay participants. now it's quite difficult to find projects that really pay and produce reward hunters.

Let real use case be your first aim in every new projects, most new projects of today likes repeating what we have already seen, mostly scam projects do this so be on the lookout, good projects always have something new and rare to over

It is really hard to determine and avoid scam bounty projects.

Thorough investigation is required, in short, you have to look for all the important information including reviews(but don't always trust every reviews you see, not all of them are real) about the project and see if this is legit.

For now, since you are still a newbie, you should probably focus on learning and set aside your goal to earn for now.

Yes.

Some obvious factors can be your sign if they are a bad project. Lack of website, lack of information about the developers and the whitepaper is only copy pasted. With that said, you can already decide not join that kind of project.

But, some bounty hunters want to be spoon fed.

The question that you asked is not easy. Previously, there were many companies on the market, among them there were both good and bad. Of course there were much more bad ones.
Now the market is in decline, which is why we can observe a huge number of bad companies in the market. In particular, fraudulent projects. No one will tell you a simple formula how to find a good real project.
Only your experience is able to help you with this.

The scam section will offer various tools that you can use to do research if the project is a scam project or not, always on a look for a project if they have a complaint in the scam section check if the project's roadmap is attainable some of them are not realistic at all and these are just sweet words to entice investors.

Unfortunately, even experienced bounty hunters often fall into scam companies, and we cant do nothing with it, so just do not pay attention to it and participate in a huge number of bounty companies and then at least some bounty companies will pay you tokens and you will simply turn a blind eye on the scam companies.

There are lot of things to consider if your going to find a good project. Bounty isnt always incorporated in every good projects. Normally these great projects are just using an airdrop like asking for some task to make some promotions for them but that isnt important since they already set a marketing promotional like icodrops, or even cmc. That's more effective than using hunters for good and legit ones.

I myself is a hunter but most I consider is the legality than budget for the participants.

Yes and it is because just how we are getting our experiences here inside the crypto world they're also getting their experiences and finding new ways to lure people into their scam bounties so this will likely happen to newbies. I agree that you just join multiple bounty and pick the best ones and also check if the task they are asking you to do is fair to the reward you are getting.

You can choose a reliable bounty hunter publisher that will make you more likely to succeed and you can find it in the forum. Or you can see what great people are doing. You can join, but your level is a bit low. So first of all, you need to raise the forum level to participate more effectively in bounty activities. This is just a friendly suggestion.

No one can tell you which is which. The only thing you can do is to do in-depth research about the project and see for your self if they are legitimate or not. If you ask for other's opinions, they will either shill a project or tell you to do your own research. Most projects make their white paper really enticing for investors, just look for the project who doesn't hive out to many promises for income and shows an achievable road map.

actually, a good bounty is very difficult to identify. so far, if the project has no problems with the team and whitepaper, it can already include a good bounty. however, for bounties that really pay, you can choose to join a project that has been registered in several markets, or have collaborated with it. so far it's quite difficult to find a bounty like that, but you just have to wait for it.

It is difficult to know which bounty campaign is good at the moment. Unfortunately, the successful bounty campaign has dropped considerably. Also, my advice you would be to choose campaigns which organized by managers with positive trust and also do your researches before join any campaign.

Definitely. A project might succeed and able to raise the required fund, but at the end, fail to pay bounty hunters, because of some flimsy excuses which they cannot say publicly. Bounty hunters have been used by several projects and just like some coins are being dumped, they have been dumped without getting paid. So it has rendered bounty hunters almost useless. Some of them would tell you that the funds they raised were not as a result of the activities of bounty hunters.

Its kinda funny if you already have experience in bounty campaign that there are steps into finding projects which are fake or not but since you are newbie, its understandable I think.

There are some projects in the past years who did well in their token sale and some also hit their hard cap but even though these projects became successful in token sale, they run away and the investors don't know that this will happen to them.

Identifying a project that is fake or not is hard nowadays already unlike the past years where you can earn much money from bounty campaigns alone. Now, bounty campaign isn't as profitable as it is years ago and the new projects are declining year after year so it may affect the bounty hunters too. No projects = no bounty campaign.

There are no steps in identifying if a project is a scam or not. Just try and try until you succeed.

If that's true then why are you still wearing a signature and participating in bounty? Bounty does not waste your time, you can still choose the good bounty here by your experience. And remember that you should not be involved in bounty with all the time you have, you should only participate as your part-time job.

With research you can escape some scam or bad projects but not entirely safe still because few projects are undetectable as scam until they got exposed as scam projects, bounties is more or less like a gambler's den now

There is no way you can know the bounty that will not end in the scam. From my experience, there is no certain way of knowing a bounty campaign that will end in scam but I am always wary of bounty campaign that always allocates a large sum of money in form of token for a campaign. Many of them are dead on arrival. Also, I have realized that project that gets listed on fair IEO platforms such as Livecoin, Probit etc. and also have bounty are still better to compare to other bounties that get IEO listed on some exchange platform that is known to be promoting shady projects such as Latoken.

In my opinion, this is very easy to determine. You do not even need to spend a long time and just analyze the telegram group of any project. If she is alive people are real then it means that the interest of the community is great. The whole point is that any cryptocurrency project is interested in an active and lively community. From here, draw your own conclusions.

I would suggest you to avoid these bounty programs in the first place, be it legit or scam. You will be spending a lot of time doing these bounty tasks, but in the end, what you will earn won't be worth the time you would be spending on completing those tasks. If the project turns out to be scammed, you won't even earn a single penny. Even if the project turns out to be legit, the amount of people joining the program will end up reducing the rewards you will be receiving.
Try doing something more better instead of wasting your time doing bounty programs.

Unfortunately, there is no ideal strategy for choosing a successful bounty project. Knowledge comes with experience. The most important thing is to choose projects that have a finished product and a good reputation. This will increase the chances of success.

No there's no checklist and if you do see any don't get decieve as most project listed there are probably done as a means of paid advertisment. Previously you can easily use the managers to identify quality campaign but this days that's not the case since greed has become a common problem in the community and also some projects disguise themselves as legitimate projects, pay huge sum of money to hire this repute campaign manager so their reputation can draw in more patronizers and reach a greater audience so their scam can have an impact.

You just have to be vigilant and apply caution as 90% of the project carrying out bounty are scam while the other 9% will turn out to be shitcoins that can't give you any rewardable return for your time invested in promoting the campaign. The last 1% are the legit ones and there are very rare to find. You just have to be among the lucky few that get an opportunity to participate.

Even the highest scam can appear as legit from the start it takes years of planning to perfect this act. As the cryptocurrency market expands, lots of new scam mechanisms are adopted daily. It is best everyone joins campaigns based on their gut feelings because a scam can look real from the onset and a real project can look like scam as well from the onset.

Actually it is quite difficult to determine which campaigns are truly legit until everything goes according to the rules and agreements that have been set. In addition to focusing on project selection, newbies must also understand that bounty campaigns are very risky, it could be that your hard work in promoting projects is not paid properly, so understand that in advance so as not to expect too high so you can survive even though disappointed.

When the market is not conducive, the risk is greater for joining bounties, because it can affect the market acceptance of newly issued coins or tokens. It's better to choose a campaign that gives rewards in BTC or ETH, or choose projects that have a wide network and are supported by companies or influential people, make sure the projects you support are not included in the scam accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0).

There are a lot of things to be considered before joining bounty. Is the team have the domain experience to deliver base on the roadmap? What are the use cases of the project? Does it really need to be tokenized? Who will be there target users?

I do everything manually, check the project whitepaper, social media if their team is visible and active on conferences, also if they an ongoing or coming IEO on a trusted exchanges, of course you need yo verify to the exchange social media if its really true. Already listed project is good but it depends on the volume, project that has already a working platform or product is much better. But doing all those things is not guaranteed that you will not be scammed it will just minimized the risk.

Actually, there have been several threads that discuss this topic, about choosing the bounty and ignoring scam projects.
You may see some of these thread links:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3063172.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4355293.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4322799.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3256971.0
etc
And there are still many others. You can use the search menu to find out.

To note: Your rank is still a newbie. If you want to join the Signature campaign, better to increase your rank at first. You may not need to focus on the bounty campaign. Ranking up first will let you find more chances to get the legit bounty, moreover the bounty with BTC or exact coin payment.
Read more about it on this forum.

Actually, the basic way to get the legit bounty can be analyzed first easily from the Bounty Manager. Choose the one with a professional and trusted BM. Additionally, get to know the team of the project, exchange to the listing, and also its token schedule. Never forget also about the community channel where you can find out about the project directly.y

If you don’t know how to identity fake/scam project  then try to find out good bounty manager.they are experienced and they always promote legit project.otherwise you can make research that project before joining.Try to find out orginal team members, there whitepaper. What is purpose of coin etc etc.also try to find out that is it mlm, ponzi scheme project or not.I think it is enough to find scam or fake project (only for joining bounty campaign  not for investment).

It is really hard to identify a good project since they can just easily fake their whitepaper information. Maybe the only thing you can do is to check the background of the developer if they have successful projects before. It might help you to recognize if the current project of that developer is gonna be successful or not.

There's no significant rules how to find legit bounty project, classic problem without solution. Many tips already exist but there's no guarantee we take the right bounty program. I think ( as newbie ) you should join several program with basic rules, such as developer team quality, realistic project target and coin allocation. Write your activity until find the best guide for you, learn it direct into field because reading is not helping anymore, just go do it and learn from it.

A well organized and great project idea can be a failure at the end so it's not possible to predict which bounty will be 100% profitable. But one thing you can do and that follows some popular Bounty manager and their channel who has a good reputation in this sector. Their project can also be failed but the chance of success is high. So stop joining every bounty and before joining any bounty check out about the bounty manager who runs that bounty.

Majority of bounties nowadays are just scam and looking for legit project is a bit hard to do. Sometimes even the most promising one is ending up as scam or failed project for some reason.

Do an extensive research thats what you can do to spot a good project, but what to look for? There are many factors that you have to look into, like the team, whitepaper, roadmap, the overall concept, use cases and the manager because sometimes a reputed manager is an indication of a bounty to be legit but its not an assurance hence it solely depends on your decision whether to participate or not.

well, right now there is no bounty campaign that can be relied on because there have been many cases of bounty campaigns that are scam even if they are not scam then the price at the exchange is very cheap so the bounty campaign is no longer good if they make payments using tokens, but bounties good campaign if they make payments using bitcoin and the bounty manager has saved funds for payment in the first week then it will be very good and will avoid scams.

but it requires a high enough ranking level to be able to participate.

As you are asking suggestion for a newbie, so, I would suggest researching well before jumping in any bounty! Try to verify a project's team member, their partnership and media news coverage, if everything looks perfect then verify their social activities, read their whitepaper, I hope you will then realize which bounty is worthy to do. When I was a newbie, I kept following high ranked people but later I started researching on my own and now I feel okay.

Indeed, it is very difficult for us to be able to distinguish between good projects and fraud projects because both are very well designed and fraud projects also look very perfect like real projects, I think you should ask for recommendations from forum members who are more senior and experienced in bounties and of course it is better to joining a bounty project that is handled by a trusted and experienced manager, so that the project may not be a scam because the manager certainly will not risk positive trust just to handle a scam project.

Technically? First check the team if they are really existing or dummy or clone, second the whitepaper and site they must be legit and not copy paste or plagiarize, the site must be functional and not made by grade school.

And of course also one special part is the manager must be handling the tokens as escrow and prominent manager and escrow here not those scam manager or not reputed.

Or better be?stop joining bounty they are mostly scams..

Although members who have a high level of expertise in bounty selection in this forum can give us some reasonable advice, combined with selecting potential and reputable managers, it may limit the number of times we choose fraudulent projects but the improvement is still quite low because the quality of the projects has diminished, even for professionals, they still feel scared when participating in a project they value well. Perhaps we should still rely on luck to participate in bounty, luck right now is a very important thing in bounty.

Unfortunately, even the most experienced users on this forum sometimes make mistakes and fall into rather dubious projects. Because, as we all know, scammers and scammers tend to improve their abilities and methods of fraud.

Based on my experience find a bounty or a project that has a good management, hard working developers, good idea and a on point roadmap, and feasible softcap and hardcap. There are some projects that the developers are worthless they just leave the token as it is no working progress and the token will just die just like that. and pick a project that has a reachable softcap because if they didn't reach the softcap the project might fail or swap into a new token and redo the bounty again in the future.

All of us are start from being newbie and before we get what we are now we experience a lot of fake project we encounter. So to those begginers they should have idea how it work before entering to a bounty project. First thing to do is know how to check the projectbof is legit or fraud. Read some Article and opinion of other people who give the tips on how to choose project befoe joining to it. Also i suggest to begginers to start from bounty project so your level will up because the higher the level the more profit to earn.

Unlike in the past when it was very simple to review and identify which project is fake or real, it has become almost difficult to  find out which project is fake or real. The crypto space is unpredictable where anything can happen.  Where even the tagged fake bounties become real in the end. I do say that bounty is a risk. Rrisk your time and resources for any project you can.

Bounty isnt an easy task and all of the things must consider on picking up your choice is the team legality. Always seek their presence on social medium such as telegram, this will ensure the intact or contact of teambet into thr community. Once this intact has been gone to a big commuity then their project ia likely a scam one. People wanted an interaction and team must be supportive to it.

It's really difficult nowadays in order to differentiate good and bad projects are there are various factors like some good projects have failed in the past wherein bad project has been able to make it to the the exchanges caufing a huge loss to investors, then comes the scan projects with poor marketing, site which can be easily identified by looking at their development team as they crop image and use it with different names, also go through the white paper.

follow a very simple way to choose a bounty. open the project - if there is no team specified then skip this project. if you opened a project and team members are listed there, open their social networks. if you do not like them - skip the project. these are the very first steps to choose a bounty campaign

I have participated in a program on bountyhive many times and everything has worked. the best step when on a bountyhive is that there are trace steps and the dateline program for the bounty. There is also a link to enter the telegram group of the developer of the bounty program, so you can ask the developer directly.

Try searching bounties, that are managed by professional managers. First take a look on BM profile, if he had managed lots of projects and they have sent rewards to hunters - that is first good point to join. Bounty managers care about their reputation and wont manage obvious scam. They are the first who evaluate the project for being scam (successful project - that is different, they cant really predict that).

But once again, good BM is only 1/3 of a success. 1/3 is the amount project collects during ico/ieo and other 1/3 is the team/product itself.

because bounty manager or developer team thinking newbie have no significant influence to investors in cryptocurrency market. so they will prefer to pay high rank member that have many experience and also maybe has fund to invest in their projects from previous bounty reward. as we know much of bounty hunter now be investors in ICO or IEO, and even some of them become profesional trader now.

I think filtering out bad projects will probably be based on community efforts on decentralized systems and also using acceptable crypto standards. I am not sure if there are agreed standard yet.
Some of my preferred standards for rating crypto projects would be viablity, sustainability, uniqueness, decentralization, usefulness, technical aspects, project simplicity, promotion/marketing, security, ease of use, permissionless/trustless, anonymity, transparency, immutablity etc.
Will not invest in centralized projects no matter how useful they are. Too risky in my opinion, unless you'll be willing to wait or hope for compensation if something bad happens to govt regulated projects.

Actually in this forum very complete about crypto. my advice before joining the bounty or start promoting should look first at the string of scam accusations. don't join random bounty projects, promote scam projects just as you participate in fraud. I personally do more analysis before promoting a project, and that also needs to be remembered sometimes projects that seem potentially could also fail. the point of being a bounty hunter also depends on luck.

It is not that easier to filter out scam projects and their scammy bounty programs. You need to do your own due diligence but still there are only 50% chances for you to stay protected. Because, scammers also come with big tricks to cover themselves and to convince us to work for them. So, put your efforts only after your regular works and do not spend big time for bounties. This is just a defensive suggestions as per my experiences.

There are many campaigns are available these days even for newbies but you need to choose them based on time requirements. Social media campaigns with less time consuming might be helping you to earn crypto slowly. For example, you can participate multiple twitter campaigns of different bounty programs. This way you may maximize your earning whereas signature campaign participants can do only one at a time and newbies cannot do signature campaigns.

Most of the time right bounty campaigns don't allow newbie to participate but this is not always the case. First of all only those project pays bounty rewards who meet their hard and soft caps. If the project is genuine but it fails to achieve required funds then they won't pay bounty reward. Anyhow any project that becomes successful payout bounty reward. Since the recession in the market new investment is not entering in the market so that's why bounty campaigns are struggling to pay their participants.

Mate, What you do that is the real path to do follow at this moment. There was a time when people kept doing 40-50 bounties at the same time and most of from them paid well to the hunters. But right now everyone should research hard before joining any campaign. Recently HEX bounty looked good to me and O though it is a good project but today I saw a huge scam allegation in Hackernoon against this HEX project! So, care about the quality of the project, not the quantity! As making money from bounties is very hard, better spend much time on analysis and pick the best one!
Op, don't lose the spirit, most of the social bounty accept newbies, so, keep looking for the best bounty for you!

in my opinion if you want to know about a good project then you have to learn a lot of things, especially knowledge about the bitcointalk forum. because so many campaign projects are launched every month. and then you have to see the trust of the bounty manager. after that you have to see the growth through social media they have, if it continues to grow then it is likely that the project is good. and you should also look at the roadmap and whitelist and whitepaper they have.

Managers telegram group is very important to know about all of those latest update bounties campaign. And if you have any queries about which project than you will get reply from manager in easiest way. No, I don’t think it’s ture thought if you think manager will give guarantee and no way to give such ensuring any bounty.

All you thoughts will be beneficial to us.

in my opinion if you want to know about a good project then you have to learn a lot of things, especially knowledge about the bitcointalk forum. because so many campaign projects are launched every month. and then you have to see the trust of the bounty manager. after that you have to see the growth through social media they have, if it continues to grow then it is likely that the project is good. and you should also look at the roadmap and whitelist and whitepaper they have.
Even if you that, you still have no guarantee that you won't end up in a scam project but as much as possible you should try to avoid them. You can check the team behind the project if they are really existing and if they have history about successful projects before. And make a history research particularly the bounty manager if all of his past projects are legit or not.

Although joining a bounty telegram group, managers may not necessarily be able to avoid the Bounty Scam Campaign. There is still a possibility that the project being worked on will turn into a scam. Many managers have been fooled by the sweet promises of scam projects.
The manager gets the initial payment before the project is a scam and as a bounty hunter we don't pay anything and that is a risk as a bounty hunter.

The best way is to do research about the project that will be followed. If you want to see other people's research, you can visit Thread that discusses several scam projects in the sub thread Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)

There is other option to pick a bounty campaign. You can see the track record of bounty manager that run bounties it self. You can check each BM and find the less one. In the end you need to double check the bounty it self and good luck.

Track record doesn't matter a lot in this case when it comes to the altcoin bounty. I have seen some trusted bounty campaigns are also getting bad projects too that the project disappoints the hunters at the end of the campaign. In this case, what matters a lot is the quality of the project itself that can bring a lot of demand to be combined with the massive promotion created by the hunters to attract more and more people from another community to join in our community too.
The double-check to the project must be done in the middle of the development progress if you were participating in the ICO and this must be at the sale progress.
Just keep in your mind if is a complicated thing to do.

This might be one of the good things to consider, but bounty campaigns that promote a project that is yet to exist, I think even the bounty manager doesn't know if it will be successful or won't scam in the future.  There are lots of bounty campaigns that were so ok in the beginning but later turned out that they won't pay their bounty participants for several reasons including the bounty campaign manager issues.

And for the sake of verifying the project if it is legit or fake, better check the team composition, verify their CV by background investigation if possible.

if you want to know a good project and a scam, need special expertise in this case to detect a scam or not.

It is difficult to judge from the start, usually uncovered in the middle and at the end of the project, Tips, simple you can see from their ICO and the Team and also the website that they promote, and many others that must be considered to know the scam project.

Nowadays it is hard to determine whether a project launching bounty campaign is a scam or a legible one by just taking a glance on it but if you do really want to engage into bounties as a newbie, then better be ready to educate yourself on everything you do need to know because being knowledgeable is the strongest weapon you can have in this vast world of industry we are all currently into. As a newbie, you must first do a thorough research upon a certain project to better know the background of that project. Also be observant on every details being inputted in the project and see as well decide if such details about the rewards and how will be the project working on is possible or can be put into reality. If not, then you must consider as a scam already because a good project on my opinion is reliable and the informations are possible to be made in reality. Being educated before engaging into such bounties will be best to avoid being scammed in this vast world of cryptocurrency.

I know people will suggest you research before joining a bounty campaign but it's not easy for a newbie to research well and find a good project! I have seen a couple of threads where some members mentioned which bounty we should do and which is not. Let me get you those links,

Yes, people should learn from mistakes, we all did and we are here by learning from mistakes! some people learn and some always want to take chance so they promote shit bounties! You said the right fact, some people never learn, even some high ranked member doing newbie's job, they are promoting shady bounties!

Beginners will only get a little money by participating in the bounty campaign. You have to raise your account ranking to get the money that is proportional to the time you sacrifice by participating in the bounty campaign.

i think that makes sense but not all of people will ignore the awareness that has already created by another member. The newbies need to learn about how to identify the market. It's not a short term task and they must adapt with the situation that can happen anytime. Just always try to tell them all and if they don't wanna hear us and let them get their own experience with this market.

It is difficult to identify the right bounty campaign to joining because we don't know which bounty campaign will succeed in the future. But you can participate in their bounty, all of them if you can, so you will have a chance to get the rewards. But that will not be recommended since you might get scam anytime because you don't know which bounty campaign is.

You can participate with them by joining with their social media bounty campaign, and I think with joining in the social media bounty, you can join with every bounty projects at the same time. But that is if you don't confuse to promote one by one of the projects.

@JeotQ I feel that you’re committing a mistaken by not warning those newbies, as they could avoid investing in scam projects because of your warning. @X - ray you’re absolutely correct as many newbies actually ask out here for help, and many even end up saving their funds because of the awareness created out here.

I still find it hard to determine which is scam or not. In order to choose a campaign, I visit the profile of the members or managers in this forum that are trusted for me to check what is the signature he/she is wearing. After that, I will check the campaign and see how much is the possible money I can earn. Most of the time they never failed me.

For me there are lot of basis in choosing the right bounty projects to participate in. First is Credible Bounty Managers, if you know some credible bounty managers like Arteezy, Wapinter, most of the bounty projects they handle are good or even great, sometimes failed. Second is The team behind the project, In here where comes in the proper researching about info's about the Team, Third one Projects Informations, here includes whitepaper, partners, community all these will have an important factor in choosing a good bounty projects.

In my humble opinion, there's no perfect indicator for right bounty, at best we can only give an opinion based on our perception and information at our disposal. I would say a legit bounty can only emanate from a legit project. Inorderwords, the key indicators on how best to know and choose a cryptocurrency project to invest is synonymous with that of a bounty.

For the newbies who will go through with bounty, you can easily participate in facebook, Twitter, Telegram except for signature campaign.
But of course never join in a project that more on hype, don't have escrows, no whitepaper, fake team and developer. If the project is more on saying promises and sweet words well, you better stay away from it.

Beginners are more to fall into this snare for their absence of investigate about new ico extends despite the fact that con artist basically focused on those folks. Presently a couple of bounties is recorded trades you can alluded those activities than will be valuable.

First things first, as a newbie which is just new in this industry, you should first focus on getting your account ranked up because mostly nowadays, newbies are not getting any participation into bounty campaigns unlike the old days wherein all ranks have the chance to join any campaign. As a newbie like you who were just starting your crypto journey, you may have to at least focus into managing how to improve the quality of your posts to earn merits to be able to rank up your account, roam around the forum to familiarize yourself and earn knowledge and after that you can surely be having answers to your inquiries. Determining if a project is a scam or not for a newbie will be hard since your were just starting but most scam projects are sometimes good to be true or those who are very promising projects; I am not saying all but some are just like that and that is what you need to learn from now because surely you will know more throughout your journey in the forum.

i can not help much about it, all have the risk of a scam. we cannot predict with certainty.

but you can check the profile of the project development team, the bounty manager, and of course the vision and mission of their project.
if all looks good, you can join. but still, as i said at the beginning. all have a risk of scam. so stay careful.

Its not easy to spot a good bounty nowadays because there are numerous scam existing. Sometimes even you conduct a research and careful on choosing what project to participate in, still you are ending up to failed/scam bounty. So what we can do? Always double check the legitimacy of the project, their team and roadmap, do an extensive research and ask for others advice if the project has potential or legit. There are also thread here suggesting for good bounties for bounty hunters so better check it out.

indeed it is very difficult to identify real or scam projects and memag needs very careful research, for that the most important thing in my opinion is the product, after that we examine the whitepaper and the team that is in the project. But remember if it is not a guarantee but at least we have tried to avoid scammers

Currently it is difficult to distinguish legit and scam projects in this market. We only know after the bounty ends or those projects complete an ICO or IEO. One way to limit scam campaigns is to engage in the bounty listed
