Title: A good book to learn how to trade.
Post by: L.Lawliet on February 13, 2020, 10:11:28 PM
Recently i´ve got a indication of a book: Encyclopedia of chart patterns (second edition). This book is realy good, but it has many pages (1033). The book was initially designed for the Stock Market, but you can still use the book to trade with bitcoin. The book is available on Amazon and on the internet (pdf for free). I particularly downloaded the pdf but I intend to buy the book soon. I recommend an intermediate-advanced level of English and a certain experience in trade to understand the book well.

Book is good to study to have a background knowledge of trading but at the same time, we should bear in mind that we need a practical knowledge to be able to take down everything we read from the book and trying them out. This will help us to restrategize if it not working.

When im still trading up on Forex, i got used to read up some books but times passed where everything can be read up online then
i dont already have the time to look into any writings but rather i do prefer on reading up online due to convenience.
You wouldnt really understand a book yet it would really have that corresponding level of knowledge which would really be needed.
Its a step by step process though. When it comes to basics then babypips.com courses would be good for complete beginners.

If you read books, you will only gain knowledge and not experience. It is very hard to trade when you don't know what is really happening in the market and during transactions.

Strategy is hard to perform when you only read books, because in books, it only states the type of strategies and not the consequences and advantages of it. Planning and performing strategy is always based on your technical analysis about the movement in the market. In order for you to become an effective trader, you should always apply and perform the basics that you have read. You also need to practice the strategies, in order for you to know the good and bad effects of it. It is not bad to make mistakes, but if you make the same mistakes again then you have a problem with the way you trade.

Not only books, it is also essential to seek some advice and tips to some professional traders. They are the one who are knowledgeable and effective when it comes to trading. Professional traders are still experiencing some bad and fail transactions but they are dominant when they will make a solution for it. They can make strategies based on the circumstances so they can easily manipulate the market with the way they want. But if the market is really down and the prices of the coins are not cooperating then it will have a hard time to make a solution for that. They are still vulnerable with the mistakes and no one is exempted with that. In cryptocurrency, practice don't make things perfect, but it lessen the risk of losing the money in trading.

There's a lot of books out there that talks about trading, but the best book I preferred on you is entitled "The Disciplined Trade" written by Mark Douglas in 1990, this book is talks about the mental discipline that is really required among traders to become a successful trader someday.  This book also describes the basic mindset and attitudes for trader so that this book may help you to understand on what you really feel when it comes in trading.

One of the biggest mistakes you are doing is comparing bitcoin trading with stock trading. They are not the same. They don't exhibit the same behavior at all. One should not try trading bitcoin like they are trading stocks.
On other hand, do you actually need books to learn how to trade? There are tons of free such books out there on the internet, but you won't truly learn anything unless you have tried trading yourself. You will be making lot of mistakes when trading and once you learn from you mistakes, you will be better at trading.

Since the whole concept and context were designed for the Stock Market, there are some things that might be appropriate when they bring to Crypto. Trading crypto and stocks might be the same in general but they have different factors to looked at.

There are lots of sources already that focused on everything about crypto trades whether via books, videos, articles, etc. so if the main purpose is to learn how to trade cryptos, refer to these sources instead rather than to read a stock market-related books.

Unless we want to extend our knowledge about how to deal with the stock market too, that book will serve as a good reference.

This has been a topic of quite a few threads since I've been a member here, and you might want to search for "books" in Bitcoin Discussion and/or Trading Discussion, because I've seen lots of recommendations.

I've always suggested Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre--even though the book is really old and is about stock and commodity trading, it's a very interesting and entertaining read.  Jesse Livermore was doing TA well before computers existed, and he was pretty successful at it (except for the times when he went bankrupt....and committed suicide).

On a related note, I started reading Digital Gold by Nathaniel Popper.  It doesn't have anything to do with trading, but it's all about bitcoin and so far I'm really enjoying it.

One of the biggest mistakes you are doing is comparing bitcoin trading with stock trading. They are not the same. They don't exhibit the same behavior at all.
I disagree with that, and I'd also suggest that any similarities depend on which stock you're talking about.  The behavior may not be identical, but if you're using TA you could probably apply it to both markets (and I think it's useless in both as well).

It's good to have both practical, actual and books knowledge as we will be able to explore and learn things might or might not included on books. I also enjoy enrolling in some online courses now since some were able to give tips, recommends better platforms and shows some of their strategies that can benefit me also.

Most of the trading books that I have read is all about stock market, it is hard to find a book that is all about cryptocurrency. Anyway, the information in the books about stock market is also applicable in cryptocurrency market. There are trading strategies that I learned in stock market that I keep using even if I trade bitcoin. For those who want to buy and read books I prefer you the books of Minervini which is trade like a stock market wizard.

If you are seeing the number of pages as some kind of roadblock right now I don't think that recommending you a new book that contains less number of pages is the ideal solution here. Books are not designed to be read in whole especially if you are a beginner who wants to learn everything since skipping on sections and paragraphs would just make you clueless on understanding everything. If I would be advising you I think what you need to do is just to be motivated to learn and finish a book before you find a new one. Because I think if you find a book boring to learn I don't think you'll be suited enough to learn something from a new book, you'll just find that new book boring the same as the old one.

I traded professionally for 10 years, including on the floor of the CME, then for a top prop shop in Chicago. Treasuries, equity index futures, etc, etc. Discretionary, grey box, black box, or with hand signals on the floor. Crypto markets are now trading like volatile futures markets and absolutely exhibit similar behavior. It's all supply & demand at the end of the day.

Tons of great books out there. Theory & practice, like anything else in life, is essential.

1. Preserve your capital. Study risk mgmt.
2. Read the likes if Ed Thorp, Jack Schwager (Market Wizards series), Big Hitters by Kevin Koy, Alpha Masters, Mind Over Markets (Dalton) any Market Profile text.
3. Remove any emotion from trading.  Binary of sorts, like programming. That's not to say you don't use your brain. Most algos or black boxes lack substance because markets change & that requires user input to change.
4. Capital Preservation is KEY!

The biggest advantage an independent trader will always have is the ability to sit on their hands and wait for the right market to trade. Institutional $, and weak/impatient $ will over trade. Trading is not about being right, it's about cutting your losses to trade another day. The aforementioned books all profile the most successful traders over several decades (...Stock Operator cover this as well) all cover the same concepts & principles. Trading cryptocurrencies is no different and frankly, WHEN the SEC opens the door for institutional & retail $$, the likes of Bitcoin will be one of the best instruments to trade, if it isn't already.

FWIW

Yes, I have seen about the book Encyclopedia, if I'm not mistaken this book was written by Thomas Bulkowski in 2005, at that time I didn't really care about the Encyclopedia book.

After seeing this topic, it is very necessary to have a book (Encyclopedia of chart patterns) to own and learn about trading, analysis, investment and many others.

Interesting to learn if examined the current conditions, where trading is not the same as before, with the guidelines in the book maybe I can arm myself in investing and trading.
With some very optimal points can be taken.

Trading is such an essential thing in this virtual world. For us to earn so much many in this virtual world, we do trading to lessen the fee when we are going to withdraw the money. Some tips for trading is to learn some different currency, you can research it, or you may read some books that offer some strategy about trading. One of the books that I have read is the book "The disciplined trader", I have learned so many things about that book, it teaches me about the strategy to be a good trader at all, and upon reading the book I realized the importance of any other books, I have so many books in our house, but I have read none of them because I am so tired in reading. Still, when the time that I want to learn some things to be a good trader and read the "The disciplined trader", it affects me to read the book I have in our house, but reading books is not enough, you should also rely on your skills as a person and the experience you have for so many years doing trading.

Reading books is entertaining and useful because it will also help you enhance your understanding but with the use of technology everything is much convenient which means you can easily get a copy of a book by a simple search. Learning online is less hassle but you can't literally assure that every content that you will be seeing is legit. Just like you, i'm also into books because its fun especially during your leisure time. Learning from the experiences of others can also be beneficial because you can be aware of the possible problems or challenges that you may encounter as you continue your trading journey. Their story will guide you like on avoiding doing the same mistake because they will make you realize how hard it is to overcome such problems. Anyway, i'll look forward reading this book because I know it will enlighten me about various of things about trading.

Totally agree with this, when you read tutorials or guide you might expect something or do something a little bit off than what the book really meant to say to you because its only pure text but when you try video tutorials you'll have higher chance of getting and learning trading quickly. Also showing or seeing what you should focus on the charts is very important part of tutorial and nothing beats video guides in that but i am not against books, books is also useful specially when you don't have internet, its just you settle for more.

Video tutorials might be a best option for those commodities which keeps on updating. Charts and patterns are something which are constant without any change since years and a book could really make us understand those patterns more closely with some images as well. Usually, we could find a number of videos on youtube giving a detailed guide about such patterns but I individually found least of those videos useful.

But instead, I could gain huge knowledge just by reading books. Also once we read any book, that books automatically gets stored in our unconscious brain which would be recalled once needed and this really makes me much close to the patterns as I could understand the patterns without any complications. Also the book would always be with me for further clarifications so I would love reading the book stated by OP.

Books actually were the only medium to gain some knowledge in the past but in present, we have a lot of other platforms which makes gaining knowledge more easier for us. Video tutorials as you stated are among those platforms which would make you grasp knowledge much quickly in minimum time and experiencing trades in real life would make us gain some huge experience which would be most useful for us in the coming times. But, if you combine all of these platforms than you could really boost your knowledge and make huge progress.

For example, you could continue watching various video tutorials along with the book and try going through both of them. Than you could move onto demo trading with the knowledge you gained and try practicing for real.

It is truly said that books are our best friends. Books can really give us a ample of knowledge. You should try to buy the book rather than reading 1033 pages on the desktop as this might even affect your eyes. Books make us gain huge knowledge and also we come across a number of new words which would enlarge our English efficiency.

Usually, chart patterns and oscillators are similar in both the markets, centralized(stock/forex) as well as decentralized(cryptos) and once you understand about the charts and patterns you could really make some good progress with trading and it could also serve you as a secondary source of income. I personally love to read new books and I would soon order this one once I get some free time.

Reading books could also be of big help and we can still be getting ideas from it but the problem is, some of them are outdated means that, it is good to go for online tutorials that are updated. Because when you are in trading, you can't rely upon into one thing but rather to gather ideas from different sources in order to evaluate what it more effective or less effective.

In my opinion, reading books are essential to increase your knowledge in any domain not just trading, but it is not easy to pick the best books for newbies, maybe some professional traders can help you for that. Furthermore, reading books is just the first step to success in trading, so there are more necessary steps, you should learn how to read the  charts well, the market is always volatile, so you need to be active about that. Don't forget about making a different plans or strategies for the all situations.
About the books, try to read these ones:
Cryptocurrency beginners bible.
The bitcoin strandard.
How money got free.

No matter how many times you read books and attend seminars that are related to cypto, if you dont use what you just learned then you wasted 2your time in attending seminars. Nothing beats gaining knowledge through first hand experience. Your mistakes will be you guide so that you will never commit the same mistake again.

I didn't get this thing that whether you were trying to help us know about such book or you were endorsing about it? /jk

Anyways, I think that people are lazy enough to take time to read even a 100 pages book, then this one is a thousand-pager. Nobody will understand the true concept behind the book if they don't read it fully and that complete reading happens in very rare cases where the reader has some interest in that field, else noobs should not even look for these. Another thing is, I prefer experience over reading and attending any seminars at a certain age. With that said, I had a reason I'd like to share - your experience as a child may be small but being an adult, you can learn a lot on your own. I know that mistakes should not take place in these things but without mistakes, you won't learn and experience what to do and what not to do. Reading experience is of some time while your real life experience that you enjoy, remains forever with you. Trading is a tough job, and crypto trading is even tougher.

But this shouldn't let you discredit the fact that reading from books that teaches you how to trade along with attending seminars for trading can give you quite the insight on how to take care on your trading journey, be it cryptocurrencies or stocks. It is up to the person if the information and knowledge he acquired will be something that he'll put up to the test or he'll let it stagnate within him. I believe that gaining first-hand experience gives you the insights for the process while second-hand information gives you the knowledge you need on your journey. They are as important as each other. What matters at the end of the day is execution, how this person was able to provide results and what took him to get to that level.

Just attending the seminars or reading various books would not give you that good knowledge. You must have your self will to start learning new things and also you should be capable to learn from your mistakes. There is no individual on this entire planet who might not make any mistakes but what matters the most is that you should try to learn from those mistakes and try not to do the same mistake again. This would teach you a lot of new things and also you would be able to properly manage your risk if you had any major loss in the past.

Never demotivate yourself from the loss you faced but treat it like a paid course which would give you a ample of knowledge as well as some experience which would be most important.

I would rather drown myself with video training about how to trade rather than reading it all.

Then, I will just add the experience of different people here just so when a time comes that I am in the same position then I will be ready.
They say it is the same as how to trade commodities, well it might be, just different numbers and how hard the fluctuations are.

True!

Anything can be read or view here on the net without the need on getting those books yet you can simply watch a video nor
read up others experiences when it comes to trades and their own ways and strategies which you can possibly imply to your own.
Im not sure if there are books available on net which teaches the basic on how you should trade.Simple google search would a

Application of what you have learned through books and other resources online is the best thing that could help you grow as a trader. It's important that you'll know how to deal with every market situation by applying the things that you have watched and read. Having the eagerness to learn things about trading regularly will also be a big help.
We need to have the desire to learn about trading. Trading is a most entertaining thing for me. I love being with trading and also trading serves me with good profits. This is the reason why I am with trading. Each of us traders should have their own reason to be with trading. This would make them gain as much information as possible and also it would help them make huge progress in trading.

Trading needs a lot of knowledge and books and online media is the base to gain this knowledge. The book mentioned by OP can also be much useful in understanding the charts and patterns and these kind of books usually boost our knowledge and makes it easy for us to understand the further movements of the graphs.

And at the same time, you will need to conversant with the current market news.

Read many books about trading and even if its a thousand page I’m sure you will be more happy to read it all because its about trading and you can have a good knowledge about trading. I bought local books before about trading and I’m happy because its worth it even if its about stock market. When it comes to trading we have a one language to be use whether its for stock market or for crypto trading.

This is essential if you want to gain knowledge not just in crypto trading but in stock market as well, it can improve our skills to do better and have a wide understanding on this field.

But nowadays books are not just the resources to learn further about trading, its one of those. Many articles, videos and tutorials are available on the internet, plus actual experience is the best teacher to become a pro trader. Books can be use as reference and guide but its a must to not just read but also understand it and apply in trading.

I prefer to listen or watch compared to reading. It seems like I have read a book that is the first edition, I don't really like to read because there is a lot that I don't understand if I don't practice it directly or give examples directly through the market. The book is very good but there are some words that are difficult to understands, and indeed for people who are in the middle to upper phase who might be able to understand books and words for stock trading better.

Enjoying reading trading books should not be the main priority but practicing what you have study is a different ball game because emotion will come into play as your money is on the line. Just try to practice what you have studied and only then you will appreciate the author of the trading book.

Myself, I prefer both but reading too much makes it boring hence, I tend to fall asleep. My point is, regardless of our learning technique/method, one can still learn how to trade with that book. Infact I learnt trading fundamentals from babypips Education platform. I'm yet to read the book that OP is talking about tho.

Books are an honest idea for learning commerce but I feel not all books are often taught later Own knowledge and knowledge are more useful in doing business If you trade your head with intelligence, you'll be ready to control it repeatedly after the book doesn't match reality. Every business person must have outside knowledge which will help the business to grow.

Reading book can open our mindset and raise our understanding about something, this one about trading. Most people use you tube channel and community to get knowledge, not wrong but at lest you also need to read because there's secret in there, you can see from the book price. Get knowledge from any sources, practice using demo account and make sure you have plan and disciplines when enter market.

Yes, after we read so many books, we need to practice what we read so we can get more experience in trading. From those books, we can learn more technique or method or strategy that will be useful for us to trade, and we can have a chance to make a profit. But remember, we can not do what the books said because the situations will be different so we can use different strategy related to the current conditions. The more experience we can get from the practice, the more chance for us to make a bigger profit.

I am really lazy now when it comes to reading.  ;D Just being honest. Even if there is a PDF file which can be read in a smartphone.

Im not sure if there are books available on net which teaches the basic on how you should trade.Simple google search would a
ready be enough.

And that is why I love it here more than just reading a lot of articles out there.
People here surprises you with good opinion and also with just little paragraphs you will learn a lot from it.

I'd rather do browsing this forum than read a full book.
Before, I love reading those but that is before I knew about what internet is.  ;)

I strongly agree that learning from a book can make our trading skills better. Many good books about trading a must read. But I recommend
reading a book called "Trading For A Living" written by Dr.Alexander Elder. The book inspired me to focus on making money from trading.
Actually there are many other ways that can increase knowledge we are for trading. Now we don't have to learn from books, we can get
knowledge from youtube. Now many YouTuber which provides detailed trading knowledge.

Books can be an infinite source of knowledge for us to learn about trading but the number of people who can patiently read and refine the good points in the book is probably too small, most of us only see a few pages and then throw the book away at some point in the years, this method is not effective for lazy and impatient people. The knowledge on youtube channels will probably be shorter, they may not provide enough, but this method will focus on the main idea, take less time and practice easily

We are now in the modern era where some of the people prefer to use technologies such as computers and mobile phones, but we should not disregard the books that's why it's better to use both of them especially if you going to learn cryptocurrency and any kind of trading. They are both essentials when it comes to the knowledge that you need. I'm still a newbie in the field of trading and until I keep on reading various books to help me to boost my knowledge about it. Sometimes I also apply the stuff that I have seen on Youtube but I only risk with a small amount of money.

If you intend to learn various knowledge about trading you should use books and the internet. Always remember that knowledge is a very powerful tool when it comes to this field. Learn and read as you long as you can, and do your best until you fully learn how to trade and don't ever skip the basic steps on learning because once you skip it, I'm pretty sure that you will end up on losing too much amount of money. Maybe I will try to read the books mentioned by other members here.

You have to use only the BitCointLalk and YouTube forum and other Internet resources for obtaining the necessary information about crypto currency. Of course I have yet defined authoritative authors who write their blogs, the accounts I listen and fully perceive their information.

There are trading strategies that I learned in stock market that I keep using even if I trade bitcoin. For those who want to buy and read books I prefer you the books of Minervini which is trade like a stock market wizard.

It's rare to find a book about trading crypto, that's why we wrote one (https://gumroad.com/l/ZDRVi). Hope this helps :)

Books are good for increasing knowledge if we want to read them, I like reading books, but now that online learning how to trade can be found when we type keywords, I learn how to trade by reading the experiences of traders and their strategies online. This also added to my knowledge and I applied it.

Reading books is good only if you know what you are reading! You don't give hard literature to kids just because they know how to read... If anyone wishes to learn about trading he can use books as help, but first open an account, deposit some money, and when you read you need to know what you are reading about, you need to understand those words you read.
Now if you like reading books you can do it, if you like to watch video tutorials you can do it too... reading others and their experience, good and bad, can be helpful too, it can help you to avoid making some mistakes, or to realize some good things you didn't know about before.

Instead of this one can quickly go through modules provided by different broker companies. Trading at crypto and commodity is not much a difference, only one is very volatile other is sophisticated with world dependency. However trading platforms, API's everything goes into the same bucket. I would suggest you to go through quick modules presented by such companies and apply that knowledge here. It's pretty smooth and you can understand the language of trade in no time. Those modules are specifically designed such that any beginner can learn it and any experienced person can regain training on their trading methods. The books are good, but they are not upgraded as the trends are changing however online modules does have upgrades and new experiences added all the time.

^ It looks interesting though I can't see the whole content of what you have written, the title gets my interest. "From Zero to Lambo".
People now are most likely to prefer e-book than the printed book. Because e-book is easy to purchase on the internet but the print book you need to wait a few days for the delivery. If you really want to purchase, visit on amazon there are various crypto trading e-books there that probably you will learn how to trade and also strategy in trading how to make passive income.
I had here a list that probably you can choose which better e-book among them, https://bookauthority.org/books/new-cryptocurrency-trading-ebooks.

The book is really quite interesting, but you need to use the rest of the resources.

There are Ebooks that you can use in order to learn how to trade.

New Ebooks are there once you search it in a Google Search Bar because some of us are very techie when it comes to reading books. Willingness is what you need in order to grow in trading, no matter what platform you use, if the willingness is in you then you will probably become a successful trader someday.

Based on my experience, I learned trading just by seeking some advice to those professional and learn the basic fundamentals in trading and the market. Always remember that platforms have differences but that's not a hindrance for you to help yourself become an effective trader in the future.

Gaining knowledge about trade is crucial to trading efficiently and profitably. In addition to acquiring verbal knowledge, a trader needs to have practical trading experience. A variety of books and paragraphs provide necessary information for gaining business knowledge in real-life trading. Which helps to trade in real-life trading and make it successful by reducing risk. There are a lot of online-based books nowadays that are written about trading and they give a comprehensive idea about different aspects of trading. These are used on the basis of other trade strategies and types. When it comes to trade, I follow Twenty-One Candlesticks and two online-based books on the Trading Bible. There are many types of online-based books that can be used to suit your needs.

Well, that is right that Ebooks, for now, are very common and the physical paper book has been left behind. I don't understand why there are some people always wanted to buy a book, --despite there are too many varieties of Ebooks that you can choose. After you will be reading a book, perhaps it is occasionally you use but commonly after reading you will keep it somewhere else.
In learning in trading for me, books are not capable enough for me to get idea and knowledge. Watching actual videos on youtube and reading updated news on internet, everything on internet can do learning aside from the book, which book that perhaps there is possible of outdated content.

The books that are focused on technical analysis are good, but the books of the great speculators in the market are excellent because they help you understand the market. OP should realize that trading is more of an experience thing than reading books. You gain knowledge by books but mastery of your emotions by experience. It really doesn't matter if the books you read are on TA or profit taking, once you don't have practical experience your emotions will mess the whole thing up for you. Get to demo trade (even this has its limitation) while reading to test the reality on ground.

Even though I have not read the book you mentioned before, I want to say that, despite everything, books are not enough alone. It is also very important to translate the information obtained by reading books into practice by practicing.  For this reason, when you read such beautiful books, I recommend you to practice the information contained in these books and to increase your experience in this way.

people that dont have a knowledge on technical analysis wont understand a book like that easily  because trading is not easy but except maybe if the person is genius or have a high i.q  , he can adapt things faster thsn a normal individual

It was a really good book and I also learned a lot from it. After reading, you should try reading "The new trading for a living" by Dr. Alexander Elder. in it you will read about typical examples of traders who are psychologically unstable. The book focuses on trading psychology and that is the key for you to succeed in the future. Trading psychology really needs to be read and tempered, hopefully you will soon succeed in the profession of traders.

I think books on learning something like trading doesn't feel like it requires a book these days. Just like design or coding, trading is no longer on books, sure there are books about it and a million of them but trading is something that changes very fast and there are a million stuff online for free that you can learn from.

I am not saying do not read books in general or books are useless or anything, you should still read books for fun and to educate yourself and become a better human. However not for trading, I would say go online and check out what you can learn from online courses and they will actually teach you better than what you can learn from books. Plus when studying online you can ask questions, you can't ask questions to books which is why they are subpar when you are trying to learn something.

Usually,to a new version of life which means in history we are now in computer age ,I think many of us has  already practical and using internet access therefore the majority to read book is through online and particularly in you tube so it's basically much more faster than the oldest style for studying about to trade .But in good process we have to study first before we enter the fields on crypto world as stepping stone to become a good investors.

I can agree that is much faster to search something online or watch some tutorial than to read a book but isn't that sad that no one reads books anymore. Amd not everything that could be found online is trustworthy and helpful. However, because of the fact that majority of crypto users want information fast without efforts there are actually no books or very few about trading.
Everyone needs at least basic.information and knowledge about trading and to become a good trader it takes time no matter where and how you get information.

If you are trying to search online there are a lot of information and the sources does not become reliable and still one of the best way is reading books or watching documentaries if this is real and authentic too.

There is a book that not only talks about the highs of day trading but also the lows of day trading as well which is quite important to learn because you are not going to make a profit every time. It is called the truth about day trading stocks and the author is Josh Dipetrio.

I know it is not crypto or it is not even forex so day trading stocks could look different to you and may confuse you with how it could be relevant to crypto day trading, however this dude talks about the general concept and how there are some good days and some bad days and it is a long process and not a super fast way to make a ton of money.

One day you make 20% profit, the other day you lose 10% so at the end of the day you are not really going super high super quickly, there are periods when you feel "on fire" and get it all right and there are weeks when you feel like you just should stop and quit and never do it again. It is basically an emotional part of the trading world and I would say that anyone who wants to start trading should read it.

Books, specially some old ones are really outdated thats why it isnt really worth anytime for you to seek or learn up trading with this one.Yes, there are lots of ebooks in the need or pdf

that are much more worthy of your time to read on without the need on spending up some bucks on purchasing those things.Anything can be learnt online if you do have just the time

and effort on searching things up. Trading cant be learn in an instant and it would take up years.

I have not read this book but I am curious about its contents, ...
actually, sticking to the book will not necessarily make you a great trader, a reliable trader is full of experience but you can make a book as a reference and step in anticipation and is very important for beginners who are just trying to trade. You must find the right formula for yourself because each book has a different perspective from each author but still uses basic trading knowledge as a reference.

Of course, this book is for guidance only and should not be used to learn how to trade coins. It's faster to learn here and by another sources.

The very used of the book is see and learned from previous traders who have a good success from this business, they are sharing information so you can use it as reference from each trades that you'll going to execute.

You must find the right formula for yourself because each book has a different perspective from each author but still uses basic trading knowledge as a reference.

After reading those information from the book, it's time for you to position yourself, the knowledge you learn needs to use inside the exchange and see how successful it is for you.

When I was into Forex trading I tried to learn from books; I had downloaded few books from online and printed them to study and also I have bought 2 books from shops for same purposes. But, I could not recall what I had learned from those books. All my trading skills are from my friend and when they explain some basics along with live market screens, you can easily in 2 minutes learn what 100 pages of a book can get you.

I'm not discouraging to learn from books but I'm just mentioning about what I have experienced in my  beginning days trading. Because, it will be too easier to understand when some mentor will be explaining you what is the concept and how to use them in live market.

Unfortunately most people are not that luckier to get a friend who is also into trading. Because if our friends are professional traders then definitely we can easily get into the level of professional like traders. Learning from friends is more easier and funny as well at the same time it will definitely more effective way because you will remember each and every technique that you learn from your friends unlike what you study from books.

I think you meant about this is not a book probably that is an e-book that comes from the internet and this is what most likely other traders do than purchasing printed books in bookstores. I have seen different and various e-books and all of them worth it to read even how many times you want, the same with printed paper books. But the difference is you cant read e-books while you don't have internet.

As I can see as of now, upon learning in trading printed books isn't much important to a trader because might the book is outdated. E-books are very popular and also watching tutorial video in Youtube also worth it, you can find it all online.

Though I am not fond of reading books, I would really say that it is a good source of knowledge.

Personally, I prefer way more to read few articles online rather than reading a book due to the fact that online has vast amount articles to pick on however in terms of credibility I guess books got that one. Now from what I say earlier, in this case in my opinion: knowledge acquired from books, e-book, online articles or whatsoever would not be enough to fully understand how trading works. Sometimes you need to try it yourself, you should try it in actual for you to able to know what it feels like. Just like on the quote I have read that "experience is the best teacher.".

Thanks for your recommendation and I remember that there has been many people have shared about some books which they have come across and learned some good skills out of them. I mean if we keep digging on this forum then definitely we can find lots of such recommendations but I'm not seeing most people are not making use of them but instead of finding themselves some good resources for learning about trading, they keep coming up here and asking about suggestions on good resources to get started with.

In the past I remember I have tried to learn few advanced trading strategies through books but I could not finish it off them completely due to my hectic work schedules. But, I somehow managed to watch many videos which are about different technical analysis and from them I learned few things for making my trades profitable.

I found some from surfing on the internet but I cannot find any copy of it through pdf, and those books are too expensive.
Just to ask, is the pdf file of the book complete and same as what's on the book?

We can differentiate a result from when learn about something (in this case trading field) between we use a book as a tool to learn and a youtube channel. Myself more inclined to choose a book because I can imagine when I read every strategies. So as when I understood I can draw in trading view and this knowledge can't be forgotten.

It would be different when we use youtube channel from some trader who discuss a strategy, although we see they how to draw and how to use a spesific strategy but most likely when have seen them we will forget it. Or at least in a few day ahead when we need the strategy back automatically we will see the video. The OP is right, book is very useful for new trader.

Yes, I still prefer to learn by reading books rather than reading in pdf format. I don’t really fan of reading about stock market even there are aspects that are the same as crypto trading. I prefer to read books and pdf files in pure crypto trading subject form. It confuses me sometimes in some terminologies in these two. You can also watch video series about crypto trading in youtube and some websites that give free tutorials and how to perform different signals. It will help you to learn a lot about trading and some traders give some advice in the newbies where to start and how to overcome different situation that might encounter throughout your journey in trading. I’m currently learning a lot from these traders and it helps me a lot and sometimes they give motivational advice.

Yes, in this Internet era, you can learn crypto trading with the matter of your time and efforts. If you're dedicated enough then definitely you can get all the things you need to master crypto trading from internet. People are not finding enough interest on learning strategies of crypto trading and this is the reason they are looking for other kind of resources like physical books and mentors for teaching them in person. YouTube must be very good resources for learning each and every aspect of crypto trading which includes technical analysis and developing your own trading strategy.

But the important requirement for becoming pro trader in crypto space must be practicing in demo accounts. Just learning from materials cannot get you all skills for profitable trading. You must test your skills against live market so that you can take decisions perfectly under market pressure in live markets with your original capital.

But you cannot directly enter into demo trading; it means you must learn from books and then you can start trying in demo accounts. Still I agree, just learning from different materials and youtube videos will not help any trader to make profits in this highly volatile crypto markets. People are just learning and then directly entering into live market and this is the reason they are not able to finding themselves profitable in crypto trading.

When they are finding time to practice even in live market but with the least capital then they will become profitable when they are increasing their capital. I mean that you do not need a specialized the demo account but you can make your live account into demo mode by decreasing the capital into the least possible for making trades.

I am seeing many forex brokers are providing demo accounts with BTC trading markets. Crypto traders can make use of them to sharpen their trading skills.

Book is good to study to have a background knowledge of trading but at the same time, we should bear in mind that we need a practical knowledge to be able to take down everything we read from the book and trying them out. This will help us to restrategize if it not working.
Book is a necessary source for all the theory-based knowledge and to understand the patterns of the market movements but as you said, practical knowledge is also important. You cannot feel the depth of the ocean until you have made a dive in it.

The same applies to the crypto or stock market. The trader/investor cannot really understand the depth of the market and get familiar with its ecosystem and working unless he experiences it himself. Practical knowledge > theory-based knowledge but both hold importance. One helps you learn from the history and the other helps you learn and understand from your present mistakes.

I have heard about that book. It basically helps you figure out how to understand the stock market and carry out technical analysis and predictions. It explains various chart patterns and its derivatives and probable odds after such as pattern is observed.

The book is not so simple to understand so I would only recommend people who already have some technical knowledge and basic understanding of how an asset market works to refer and buy the book for advance studies. Overall, it’s a good read for intermediate traders and investors.

learning and direct practice is indeed more powerful because it directly applies the knowledge of analysis that is learned.
But there are some trading books that are really good and can be studied as a benchmark for trading properly and correctly. not just analysis, but also learn the Fundamentals well.
Knowledge can be obtained from anywhere, the most important thing is serious in studying it and able to practice it properly.

And you know i just read those books but didn't try to trade that time because of having difficulties, especially when it comes capital.. Lol and to be honest when decided to trade just to used my knowledge, i never read books wherein i used to watch videos online as it's more realistic than reading.. So far no problem with it,  indeed it's more reliable fro me  :D

Honestly demo trading helps a lot after reading trading books and watching videos however demo trading cannot never be equated with live trading, they are quite different earning profits consistently on demo trading does not translate to earning profits in live trading,  a newbie can double their portfolio in demo trading but cannot do so in live trading, the best bet is for any newbie trader to start live trading with a small capital the amount you can afford to lose and embark on real trading after earning decent profits consistently such a trader can add more funds into the portfolio.

One can get some idea about trading by reading books but one cannot become a full-fledged trader. Because if one don't  knows the primary terms of trading, what will he learn by reading books? Learning of trading requires primary knowledge and one that will teach you some difficult term.

A book can't teach you all the things about trading. It's not a easy to earn regularly from trading. Objectives from book can help you to know how it actually works. For better in trading you should learn it practically. For this, you can do demo trade. Enough knowledge and experience are need to well in trading.

Books are just good for terminologies but the rest will really be depending on real experience with trading.Actually there are tons of books which you can really read off
about trading and you could really learnt from it but we are on a digital era where everything could really be read and print out with just having those simple research.
You can see some videos too on various things which would really help you out on fasten your learning process and the rest will depend on experience.

therefore the importance of the environment is to hang out with friends who have similar businesses, and I think we will understand and draw conclusions more quickly, besides that books are also good for supporting learning, when we share with friends and enrich knowledge from books, there are long Over time we will find our trading way

This book also adds extensive knowledge as a reference in trading. Before entering the trading room, one of the places to gain knowledge is from books, although tutorials from youtube are easier to listen to, but according to your own beliefs should also know trading techniques from other places such as books. And books are written by people who are already professionals with the market.

People who like to involve themselves into trading needs to work with every information that they can gather to advance their knowledge upon this business, work with your advantage and have that confidence to make a winning trade in each time you participate with your trading, knowledge can be acquired coming from people who already into this business, not just a close friends or relatives but also those people who shared their experienced working in this field.

Never stop learning, it's the best thing you can do if you are really keen in succeeding from this industry, work more to find good portfolios with a good guides from experienced traders who take time to understand the deeper side of this business.

Information gotten from the book should be used as guide on how the market may be, it doesn't necessarily mean it dictates/controls the market. You should include this in your post to protect people from buying your recommendation as a guarantee of trading success.
Since it's a recommendation, I'll give it a try. I hope it will worth it.

Learning is the best way to increase our earning. Knowledge is power. And increase your knowledge to increase your income. Book reading is a best way to increase knowledge. But i think reading book can increase your knowledge but experience is more important. Experience will teach us many things that we can't learn from books.

Trading is risky if you don't know how to, so better to give it a try.

You like wise need to rehearse the systems with the end goal for you to know its great and terrible impacts. It isn't awful to commit errors, yet on the off chance that you misstep the same way once more you disapprove of the manner in which you exchange. They are the person who are learned and successful with regards to exchanging. Proficient dealers are as yet encountering some awful and bomb exchanges yet they are prevailing when they will make an answer for it.

I think you should practice with demo account and there are many people on youtube who teach crypto trading in detail. By learning from there you Must practice on that demo account. By this you will become stronger practically instead of becoming stronger theoretically. Later only practical will come in handy. And if any question still you will get its answer on Quora.

I haven't read the book myself yet but I know the Wiley Trading Series, they have a lot of good books published, usually very thick and expensive books. Out of there series I read parts of "High-Frequency Trading: A Practical Guide to Algorithmic Strategies and Trading Systems" - also a great trading book I would recommend anybody who is interested in HFT. Providing links to download the book might not be legal, better be careful when trying to get the book on the internet for free. In my country "Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns" is still being sold for 100 Euros, this might be a lot of money but if we can make a profit from it, it's worth it. If you really want the book but can't afford to pay so much money then I would recommend to just buy a used copy. On Ebay there are always people selling their older trading books much cheaper. The Wiley books are usually written by industry experts that can teach us a more practical approach.

thank you for the advice because it is good to learn through good books to increase knowledge about trading, especially books that have good indications. there are many books or webs out there that offer knowledge for us to learn, while we can learn then study it well so that our knowledge also increases. but after that we also have to try trading itself so that we can experience trading for ourselves and get experience from it, because apart from learning from books and the web, experience can also be a good teacher for us to increase our knowledge about trading.

You know, a book is always good, but a real trader doesn’t have time to read such books, a real trader goes through this thorny one, even if he works for hours on the stock exchange and gaining his skills and abilities in practice, I think that the key to success for any trader is not theory but practice itself, these hours of reading a book can be usefully converted into hours of trading on the stock exchange and gaining practical experience.

It is a quite nice habit of getting some knowledge about the trading, because through books you can learn a lot of things which was never in your mind before and can be attainable for your profit, but the way you are going to take through your trading should be very consistent and can be approachable to your target, then only you will achieve success.

Reading books and material is very good for trading. However, real learning comes from applying what you read. I prefer small videos over books because they cut unnecessary content. Quality is a lot more important.

Both are necessary but it worries me you think so little about the theory, the whole point of reading books about trading is to minimize the mistakes you can make, technically you can learn everything on the go as you trade but why lose several trades in a row in order to learn a lesson when you can learn the same lesson in just a few minutes by reading a book? That is where the value of the theory and the books really shine as you will know what to expect and you will be ready for the most common scenarios the markets can throw at you.

You need to be more precise in whatever knowledge you wanted to gain, books are good if you aimed for experienced traders who shared their past actual trading participations, those experienced from them who can help you to avoid making mistakes and let you prepared on whatever the market is waiting for you.

Books are a good fundamental. Afterwards, your own experience is the best teacher that will guide you to attain success, even you've read every book without actual participations there's nothing what will benefit you.

On the other side, with actual trading you'll see how things works and how you will manage to perform every learning that you gained from books or videos that you watch and read.

Being in the field is the real thing then after that you can talk with experience. If we only do book reading, the trade will swallow up everything we have when we go in . Like you said it is better not to only read but to try out the real thing which is trading. Watching trade videos on YouTube is also not a solution alone but to trade. When we trade there is another experience that comes to it because it is real money and not rhetorics of trade. Emotions and just watching or reading won't give same action to trade.

it is true that trading is an action, but theory is like reading a book that becomes our basis for taking action, the more transactions we make, the more experience we will gain, the more experience we will automatically be able to feel the market movements that will occur, and it happens like a natural, because we seem to always learn from the market

A book like this is going to take a long time for anyone to finish it. Anyways, trading is all about having patience, and if you can’t have patience then you wouldn’t be able to learn anything about trading and succeeding in it is going to be a really huge problem. But, then why it may be a problem for a lot of people is because a lot of them are not used to reading too much these days, people prefer to just watch videos and learn whatever it is that they want to learn than having to choose a long read, especially one that has over a thousand pages.

Reading book is very useful because it allows you to have the basic knowledge about trading but I believe having experience is very important which you can't get from reading a book before you can have experience you have to start trading yourself and from there you will know the type of trading pattern that works for everybody but you reading a book is also important too.

There are things that can be learned from the books completely, some others that can only be learned from practice and others that require both, trading is the latter option, you need a combination of learning by acquiring some knowledge from books or other traders and then practice the skills you have learned, unfortunately in my opinion too many people disregard the option to learn from the books thinking they can learn everything they need to know while they trade and this is simply a dangerous approach to take in a market as volatile as this one.

I agree with that. Reading books will give you the fundamental knowledge about something so I believe reading the book for forex trading will give the user an insight of the basic and steps in trading. But it’s important to bear in mind that we need practical knowledge to be able to digest everything we read from the book and carry them out practically. Trading is more of personal experience than theoretical reading. You read to get the basic information but needs practicals to be an experienced trader.

Because when you are in trading, you can't rely upon into one thing but rather to gather ideas from different sources in order to evaluate what it more effective or less effective.

To be honest, I am a supporter of the idea that it is better to take information from several sources. At least this way you can remove the factor of dependence of information on the author of this very information.
At the same time you must need practical knowledge rather than looking for learning from books and other resources like videos. Because, learning alone will not get you benefits in crypto trading but you must go for practical approach which is more important as you need to get practiced to market fluctuations.

Those beginners may start with learning from book but slowly they need to enter into to live market with the help of demo accounts.

This book contain so many strategies traders can use to remain successful through out the year and many more years to come. The book is good for theory and also require for educated people who can take their time and strength to study all the rules and guideline that follow this book .

Though, I'd like to let you know that the best book to learn trading is not from someone else's mind because they follow their self-made strategy or someone else's and write it down, but that best book is you, your own mind which helps you to learn from the smallest to biggest mistakes as well as what you do extremely well that you believe others can't.

That's the right point, traders have their own style of trading. They shared some of the ideas, but in an actual trade there are many

style that they are considering. You are on your own once you step inside the exchange or any trading platforms
your decision always depends on the knowledge that you have.

I see the value of watching streamers than reading books. Those who shared actual trading practices will give you
good hint to how to react, it's important to control your emotions and you are willing and ready to take the risk.

Emotion is really something that common problem that you would find on this market due to volatility then you would really be finding out this hard

Of course, but a good book should always be the beginning for many traders to be in good sympathy with the market, some traders only look for books on technical analysis or of a chartist nature, but to have a good knowledge it is necessary to be able to read books that They also have a direction focused on investment, when you read only 1 book you can have a criterion regarding a single part of the market and when 2 or more books are read the criterion or argument to define what information should or should not be highlighted in order to know how to choose What is going to be done, I say this from my point of view of experience, thanks to the books it is possible to separate what information is good or false.

Not everyone have the same brilliant mind, adjustments can be done while doing your trade all the patterns are not build to blindly follow but to serve as good reference.

You can imitate but don't expect that you will see the same outcome, along the way experienced traders change their system.

Not locking to one particular system but to have multiple strategy to make sure that market will continue to bring them benefits.

Yes, this era is pursuing more of utility and pragmatism, the books are almost out of vogue, a few representative works may be worth considering but overall it's just literature and fiction, very few books on trading, and even when reading is not very deep, sometimes the first few pages of the introduction can make us yawn many times then turn the last page of the book then close our eyes and go to sleep. The electronic versions are being more of an inspiration, it quickly penetrates the topic and talks about the latest things but the weak point like you say, too many channels and not compact filtering makes us very time consuming

Learning in theory is good but for trading you need experience and to learn to control yourself in stressful situations when money is on line.

There is a big gap between reality and theory, if you observed academic institutions today, if you observe very well, the academic setting will give you a very good example in class but will eventually test you in an exam which will be very difficult, sometimes knowledge may be even tested with an exercise work.
That's how learning from book and real life experience works, trading bitcoin alone is another thing on it own due to it volatile nature, stock is closer but we'll regulated with small changes in price when compared to crypto.
