I saw the news (https://cryptoslate.com/steemit-is-the-latest-company-to-be-acquired-by-tron-but-investors-arent-enthused/) that is saying Steemit has sold to TRON.

I saw Steemit post on the medium (https://medium.com/@TronFoundation/steemit-joining-tron-ecosystem-6ad66584d0b) they described nothing and just said.

Why they do that even it was the best blogging media????

Actually there are a lot of speculations about it, I prefer to wait for an official post by steemit.

Well this is why public voting/concensus is important in cryptospace to allow/refuse/limit such takeover. I wonder if they did that?  The public has to understand exactly what is going on before a decision is made. This should be the case if steem/Steemit is decentralized.
I am not sure if data exchange or interoperability between decentralized and non-decentralized things is a good idea(probably allow moderate interoperability) , unless there is real guarantee that doing so is safe or that the non-decentralized things are fool-proof or "perfect"... This is one of the reasons decentralization matters alot... It's important to be among the most decentralized ecosystems, else you may find decentralized things refusing to share data with you in the future to stay very safe.
Hopefully we will one day have safe, good, easy-to-use and truely decentralized social media in Crypto space.

I think this is very positive news. as far as I know, TRON did not buy STEEMIT, but they simply entered into partnerships and right after this news we saw an increase in the price of STEEMIT. I am sure that now many projects will enter into partnerships with each other and this will be a strong basis to buy such coins.

Nowadays business seems like they don't have long term plan. whenever the market looks bad. they plan to sell off. i don;t see any good thing Tron will offer Steemit. they may cripple the steemit platform. we can all hope to see if there can be any improvement in the steemit platform. they have been performing badly and it might be a stepping point for them.

No, TRON did not buy the whole Steemit platform, rather I see Steemit has partnered with the TRON to work smoothly as Steemit was suffering lack of enough investors and the platform almost stopped growing. I am not sure but Steemit may migrate into the TRON chain! Because through the Steemit own chain, they are not getting attention anymore, people started forgetting the Steemit, so, to boost up into the community, Steemit may change their chain.

I don´t think that they excatly bought steemit because if they are really decentralized what they bought? Like you want to buy Tron, you will pay Justin Sun? Is that a good sign of decentralization??
But many people don´t think about it in this way and that is what really matters.  ;)

It's not about the money mate, it will be frustrating if Steemit sells their platform to TRON. Because Steemit itself a large platform and they had a great contribution into the crypto network. The bad time comes to anyone, but you have to be strong enough to rejoice them. Still, I haven't seen any better content platform than Steemit, which is committed to the crypto industry!

I'm not really sure that the Steemit platform will be sold to Tron. What I think is that they will collaborate big and make a new breakthrough this year so that there are lots of amazing surprises in the crypto world.
And I heard that Steemit will hardfork in the near future is that possible?

There has been no official announcement on this news. But I also think there's a lot of possibility that TRON has bought Steemit, and certainly if this is the correct news, the price of TRON will probably increase a little thanks to Fomo.

well maybe this information could be confidential so that not everyone knows until finally there is an OP that gives this information but usually when justin or the CEO of Tron buys something important he will provide information that cooperates or buys shares from steemit, well it's better indeed wait for good news from tron and hopefully it really happens because it can give effect to the price of tron.

If you really intend to cooperate, you do not have to change / migrate to the TRON network, I think steemit is still quite popular so far, yes, even though its popularity has dropped.
but with a little collaboration with other platforms, it may grow again.

SteemIt is kind of saturated when it comes to crypto (or whatever) blogging.
I never liked their stupid bots that strikes your content as copyrighted or copy/paste content, but since Tron guy had it now, it will sink even more with that pump & dump kid.

I believe this is beneficial for Tron to acquire steemit since it has a lot of users and publishers that can help TRON company and community to grow faster.

yes, Steemit is now part of Tron Foundation, and will migrate from STEEM blockchain to TRX 10 token, i presume that most interesting thing will be what will happen to STEEM blockchain, now without main application Steemit, will be very interesting to see that

Why? Well, it's because in life everything has got its price and I guess the Steemit team sold to the highest bidder to save itself from losing cash. It's a good thing for Justin and his Tron team. Let's see how this transform to patronage for Tron in weeks to come.

For the past years have struggled to believe how steemit had been profitable, Its not different from ETC. Just making a royalty coin for pump and dump,also early coin in the space. Justin is a good personality in the space at the moment and I dont know his achievements . He acquired poloniex also at a critical time and we have not seen any development ATM. Gave us with bittorent and wink. I believe it get more difficult for him to focus in this space with so many product with short time of development and market cycle space.

I will definitely hold my judgements until I see an official explanation from any of them... right now this seems like a partnership and joining forces is always a good thing, especially when you are dealing with something new like crypto... this is the way, forks like the theatre of BCH/BSV only "make fiat laugh"

As far as I knew based on the news that Justin Sun made, they didnt't buy Steem. Rather they form a partnership and all of the DApps on Steemit blockchain will be migrated to Tron blockchain. This is good news for Tron holders but negative on Steemit, if you ask me. They abandon their own blockchain just to migrate to TRON. It really looks like Justin already bought Steemit.

Seriously am yet to read such about Tron buying steemit but will make efforts about it. Well it might come with mixed feelings but who knows it might be for the best; Tron ecosystem is already booming with growth so acquiring steemit might be a good decision. The question is, why selling steemit? Maybe it's because the team lacks any further idea on how to continue keeping the project alive hence the reason for selling, either way am not happy steemit is being sold as the original idea on which it is built on might be changed but yet it's better to be sold to keep it alive than allowing it to go down the drain.

The chairman of steemit posted on his official twitter account that he sold steemit to the owner of TRON and that is Mr. Sun. They don't form a partnership, it is not the tweet of the steemit chairman was talking about.
The reason behind this transfer of ownership is still unknown but this is really a positive action from TRON.

It's a good news that TRON has bought Steemit. Steemit is a popular platform and TRON is already one of the top coins in CMC. So buying STEEM for TRON is a good sign for TRON and good news for Tron holders. I have confirmed this news from the official twitter page.

People need to wise up and realize that all these tokens they are holding are useless, if you have no skin in the game, just out of the blue the team sold a public network to another chain, we don't even know the detail of the contract. If I give a project money then I need to have a say in the way things are being run, but most of these people are greedy, just can for their own gains

If it's really confirmed, then Steemit is in good hands now, there will be many things that is going to happen now that they are in the hands of Justin Sun, it will be used as a marketing arm of Tron, they are losing competition to Publish0X and other blogging sites.

I have heard of this rumor and Tron is good in having this kind of strategy, acquiring of other coins and business. Where can we get an official announcement or if there's already an official statement regarding this rumor?

So it's now official that Tron acquired Steem.

I'm not really a fan of Tron nor Justin Sun but I think his business decisions are starting to be noticed. I'm now curious what coin he'll purchase soon that needs some helping hand.

I think this is a real deal. But in anycase, I am bit confuse why Justin Sun wanted to buy steemit platform? Or yet the founder of Steemit hasnt any funds to run the system already.


Steem has it own blockchain and being a tron user. I hope Justin Sun improved it and not let its reputation die out. Steem is very popular to most bloggers and content creators, I do hope he will not change this system and dont add some tron funny themes or features that can ruin a content platform that has been highly used by many users.

I really want to believe that after this cooperation steemit will not die. I think this partnership is a marketing move from Justin San. in the same way, he bought Bittorent, and after he made a pump of the price on the Binance, he simply stopped developing this project. now all btt investors are in a big minus

Steemit was the best blockchain for blogging but now was not popular due to bot voting system and some other reasons, but if TRON is collaborating with Steemit, then maybe it will grow. Still, I think it should work with Etherium blockchain.

Im feeling good about this news for short term but i doubt for the long term of steemit as bittorrent has already become an abandoned project. Justin try to build another hype by buying this platform. As far as i know if medium and another blogging platform has already destroyed the reputation of steemit and old owner of steemit has already taken the right step to sell it.  :D

Steemit is a good platform and I am sure it would not descend the price after meeting with tron. They have been used tron to maximize their utility and also to support internal payments. This will make their internal affairs more transparent and less time consuming. This is going to boost the use case of tron as well as steemit and hence this might be a good news for all the holders.

Usually co-relation of such platforms leads for the best results as the demand for both the platforms gets on an ascending graph which is good for the future of the coin. This would also make a lot of new people explore these platforms just only because of the media.

And why not ? So what if they are the best boging media but are they really the best ? Steemit is popular before but not really these days because there are many new blog sites similar to them and people also switch to them because they find something different that they can't find on steemit . Dunno if you heard big companies before that were also bought by the other company  .so It's also normal for this to happen between steemit and Tron

It is a partnership, Steemit is the largest decentralized social media platform and blog platform based on the cryptocurrency space. Tron partnering with Steemit will increase competitiveness in the cryptocurrency space.

Steemit CEO has already shared this news on his Twitter page, like we know TRON is mainly into the gaming now it want to grow their network. Well I guess TRON will move to the next level from now hopefully and this partnership will create lot of attention to the public.

Yes, steemit was a best blogging media and it would remain the same. Nothing much would change after integrating tron into steemit ecosystem. They have just opened doors for tron network and they have not actually sold their platform to tron. Steemit have it's own benefits which would be maximized by adding tron onto the network.

Steemit also have a strong team behind which would never make the demand for steemit lower down. They might also have some master plan behind signing up with tron. This might perhaps boost the traffic onto the platform and also we could see a price growth in the price for steemit. That is because a number of people have started going for steemit after reading this news.
