Title: After Ethereum, Which Smart contract platform is better?
Post by: Tduty on February 17, 2020, 08:25:34 AM
Ethereum created a revolution through its smart contract technology. From there to now, Ethereum holds the first place among all the smart contract-based projects. So, what is the best smart contract-based project after Ethereum?  TRN, Stellar, RSK, EOS, Credits or Aeternity?

From what I see other smart contracts that can be in second place is TRON, because of all the platforms you mentioned, I often find projects that use the TRON platform than others, and if the ETH platform is already very many, so it's natural if the ETH smart contract can come first in this regard.

I think Cardano is good. When Ethereum is second-generation blockchain technology then the founder of Cardano is claiming that it is third-generation blockchain technology. If that is true then we can say that Cardano is better than Ethereum. But Cardano is still in its early steps and the team is developing it to be one of the fastest cheapest and most scalable blockchains in the world.

I was thinking EOS could come to second position, but Tron is supportive of projects been built on their platform. I am betting between EOS and Tron. Wave platform has too many shiity dead coins.

Cardano and NEO are probably pretty good ones. I don't believe in the NEM platform, some projects that use their network are wrong. waves already have a pretty good market, but unfortunately, the development of the platform is not big enough to be able to attract the market.

My eyes are on waves, qtum and Neo as i think all three have captured a specific dapp market for them and they have good team and community backing them. Waves have come with smart contract and they already have fast dex but i see good growth of waves in coming years  only when they focus more on marketing as they had poorly performed in this criteria. As for qtum and Neo i like to see if they come up with new dex to boost their exisiting technology.

i prefer NEO and wanchain. I hate EOS. it is the most complicated smart contract platform. for months, i have been unable to withdraw my tokens for EOS wallet. i found out that majority of the users are having the same problem. stellar is good but i don;t like the manual smart address addition before getting the token. it should be automatic just like others.

i hate to say this, but for me EOS is more competitive for ETH competitor. about another plafrom like Tron or XLM,come on,they still far behind EOS platfrom.
Tron, i guess. There are a lot of projects
a shitty project, such as BTT and wink. its just another sun shitcoin.

For me it will be EOS, one of the reason why I consider this as best after ethereum is due to it fast transactions process, although it's not yet globally recognized like ethereum but I will choose EOS before any other smart contracts out there. Also I have a huge hodling of EOS as well as token under the EOS network that brings huge dividends to me daily.

After Ethereum, I think NEO is the better smart contract platform! There are many projects based on the Neo platform like Ontology! Though NEO is yet to achieve their real value, which will come in the near future I believe! After NEO, Aeternity looks great to me, the CEO of Aeternity is known as the god of Ethereum!

If must choice maybe i will choose Tron (TRX) because in OP's post there are no Waves. At past i really believe Waves only need more adoption and some bounties that i know use Waves platform and their project have quite good rewards if sell in WavesDex.

I think in practical terms Tronnis way ahead than others as far as tokenization and smart contracts are concerned after that i think Eos is also good alongwith the solid stellar network, i think waves is also a good platform but it is still highly under rated and perhaps lacks from the marketing perspective.

After etherum smart contract, i will choose tron blockchain as a better platform.

But if easy to use and convenience for all is to define better platform, i will go for wave
Because its a damn easy blockchain to create a smart contract

Excluding Ethereum platform then my next choice would be TRX and EOS. Among other blockchains these are the projects which i do see much better compared to others.
It might not be just as demand with Eth platform but these are next in lines but well people do still prefer on what majority had been using.

Smart contracts will compete each other as we see there are more tokens on TRON already and it will have more as time goes by. We can sure see more of them on EOS too. I would expect more with TRX and EOS to have more because they'd maintained their position on top.  There are more who also believed ADA the fact that its dev team is from ETHEREUM.

Etherum will always be the king of Smart Contracts & Dapps for the next couple years.
nothing beats Ethereum when it comes to mass adoption, probably because it's the second most famous alt after BTC, who know, the fact remains that no other blockchain is better than Ethereum when it comes to Smart Contract & Dapps for now.

i would add NEO to this list, it is very popular in China, currently around position 20 on CMC list, and could go further if adoption is better, and i presume that it will be better in the future
XLM is too centralized for me, EOS as well, TRX is owned by Justin

In my opinion, such a platform is the throne.
As you know now, the platform of the throne has about the same number of decentralized applications as on the platform of Ethereum.

In view of this, it can be assumed that both platforms are excellent environments for creating these kinds of applications, and the number of these applications on the platform speaks for itself.

æternity has the highest security standards with a virtual machine of safe type and functional Smart Contract language, in addition, without out-of-chain fees for transactions and execution of Smart Contract in state channels

æternity smart contracts are first class objects. As such, they can interact with each other much more efficiently, safely and economically, significantly improving the scalability capabilities of the system and allowing incredibly fast performance in a public blockchain. In addition, having all the important features defined as first-class objects makes writing code for æternity easier.

I think a good smart contract besides Ethereum are NEO and Stellar, because from my experience, I see many projects that use smart contract from NEO and Stellar besides using smart contract from Ethereum, therefore I am sure that smart contract from NEO and Stellar can compete to fight smart contract from Ethereum, so the ranking order of the smart contract project is :
1. Ethereum
2. Stellar
3. NEO

I think the second best platform will be TRON and then maybe EOS which up till now dont seems to have full support from users which probably is due to its stagnant development all this while but TRON definitely comes second places in smart contracts

I also see EOS as very popular and smart contracts used by many projects. Many online casino and gambling projects use EOS, games projects use Tron a lot, so it is a kind of classification based on the project

Based on dApp popularity.. Many are now using eos and tron and almost these two can already be a rival to ethereum but still eth will be the leader of smart contract and thats not a tale but a fact.

After Ethereum, I think NEO is the better smart contract platform! There are many projects based on the Neo platform like Ontology!

After Ontology? Nothing else right. I think NEO gone and becomes a weak platform after tron and eos deploy their own blockchain and platform. People got divided and some support these new ones instead pushing neo on top.

I would answer ethereum if the question isnt after eth so my pick will be eos. Other platform are also indeed good platform hencr the latter are just new though they can be rival also of eth but not now. Most of smart contract now should at least be upgraded. If you would notice the circulation of dApps now focuses on defi projects which ethereum still holds the key for improvement. Though eos can be smart to incorporate more dApps functions and related tech which I believe will also lead to defi.

By the way why Klaytn not on the list? It almost overtake almost all of them aside from ethereum.

to date, I have not been able to identify which coins have the best smart contract after ethereum because as far as I know, the development of ethereum covers it all. I can mention smart contracts like Waves, NEO, NEM, Cardano, or others, but so far, ethereum has always been the choice most people use. maybe I would choose Waves, even though I'm still worried about that.

I think the interest from ethereum has decreased because it can be seen from the performance of the ethereum price increase which cannot be sped up so fast, the ethereum price is rising for a long time but when the exchange conditions fall then the ethereum price will quickly fall so from that case I think ethereum has begun to lose its supporters.

IMO, it's also a good platform because if it's not then no project will rely on its platform. Basically, I'm not really into this analysis and you can do the rest by researching what's the pros and cons of Stellar base on the opinion of those people that are into comparison of these chains.

Yes, those are the platforms which are been used in gambling industry. We can see that a number of sportsbetting or gambling platforms have integrated eos networks onto their platforms which reduces the fees, lessens the confirmation time and also give a number of such benefits.

In this generation, a number of technologies are been developed each single day and perhaps in coming few months or a year we might see some other platform surpassing these pre-existing platforms. This happened with etherum. Perhaps eth is getting outdated and that is why not many platforms are ready to start integrating with etherum network anymore.

in my opinion EOS is the best smart contract owner after ethereum. they have the same goals as ethereum when starting their development program. EOS has proven its existence by creating an ICO program that has been completed for almost a year. with the ICO program created by EOS, many people joined in and started using crypto, meaning that the development of EOS to create fast and free crypto has been proven even though for now EOS is still being developed.

Ethereum is already the first platform of smart contracts that interest investors and crypto-currency projects, it proves that many projects choose Ethereum as their token platform, it's great for Ethereum, but there are competitors that have to Note, not Stellar I think, but Waves Platform
I think ethereum still doesn't have a worthy competitor in the contract platform when projects are operating on current and upcoming times, Ethereum is the only platform they will choose, other platforms are ignored for no reason, perhaps the trust in other contract platforms is not high and inefficient. Stellar and Waves may be the names that should be noted in the smart contract field but the note here is probably about their development over time and maybe considering investing, talking about getting better and competing, ethereum still overwhelmed them

In my personal opinion TRON will be in 2nd place after ETH. There are currently a lot of projects and dapps being built on TRON's platform, and in the future I think TRON can surpass ETH in the number of active projects and daaps. Everything is just beginning for TRON and I believe it will become one of the largest cryptocurrencies in this market

I have seen EOS getting a lot of attention last year, there was even a period when EOS blockchain got clogged and had to do some improvements which means there was a lot of people who liked it and used it. That is the only important thing in the crypto world, you have to look at what people like and what people do not like and if people like one thing enough to clog the blockchain of it, that means you can trust that currency even if you do not like anything else about it.

I personally do not find eos amazing as a currency but I do find the community behind it amazing and as long as they continue to buy and promote and shill the currency, that means even the worst one can be ranked high (look at XRP for example). There are some others of course but EOS is definitely high up there.

I'm not sure why people are looking for another platform for their small contract needs after ethereum. Because technically ethereum is too sounded one and if you're looking for investment purposes then you do not need to narrow down your research in terms of more contract platform.

I believe this must be a bad assumption that people are looking for smart contract platforms based coins for their investment purposes because it will be having bright future. Fortunately ethereum was able to hit $1100+ price levels because it was having less competitors at those times but that is not the signal like there will be another smart contract platform based coin will be scaling like that. That ear has gone. We must wait for another technical revolution.

Etherum was the first project to support creation and deployment of smart contracts onto the etherum network. This helped a lot of newly launched projects create their own utility tokens which also made a lot of sales for etherum. This was one of the major reason why etherum experienced a high pump from the past bull markets.

But now, etherum is losing it's demand as a lot of other projects have started generating and deploying tokens onto their own networks which includes waves, eos, etc and that is reducing the demand for etherum. Etherum 2.0 would probably make higher demand again for etherum which might make a good price movement.

ETH is the best smart contract adopted by many projects. It's hard enough for competitors to go beyond that. In my opinion, besides the ETH platform, other projects have a similar position and not much different. I only see from the wide adoption and real functions like Stellar and Ripple that are utilized by many real-world activities. The rest is nothing too unique.

EOS seems to be very suitable as a blockchain platform for the casino business because it is very popular. But I disagree if it is said that etherum is out of date, because there are still many projects currently popping up by relying on the Etherum platform

true, I rarely encounter projects that use the eos platform, most of the projects that I follow using the ethereum and ethereum platforms themselves are still widely used by new projects, so it's impossible to be outdated
Quite right, the ethereum is currently the most popular form. the only difficulty is the Solidity language that you need to know to create projects. But in recent years, many who have already mastered it

Actually there are many projects using the EOS platform but more and more easily we find using the Etherum platform, that is proof that it is still popular and not out of date. I don't think it's a language problem because the developers must have a smart solution for that

only a few that use the eos platform sometimes there are also projects that already use the eos platform and they replace it with ethereum smart contracts, even the ethereum platform is also used by many airdrop projects

its true that ethereum platfrom still used by many projects , but if we see the price of token from eth platform many of them now dumped alot. its really easy to tranfer and sell in market, but different condition happen to eos platfrom. most of projects that used this platfrom not dumped alot and tend to stable. personally i am prefer new project using another platform.

Ethereum created a revolution through its smart contract technology. From there to now, Ethereum holds the first place among all the smart contract-based projects. So, what is the best smart contract-based project after Ethereum?  TRN, Stellar, RSK, EOS, Credits or Aeternity?

Apart from ethereum, at the moment I think there are many coins that are similar to ethereum. EOS is a good project and might be able to compete with ethereum in terms of attracting new projects to use the owned blockchain.

besides that, waves can still be considered. it's just that, for now, the most commonly used smart contract is ethereum, so for other smart contracts from altcoin still trying to get rid of ethereum, but it looks like the development of smart contracts is not as good as ethereum, so, I think smart contracts under ethereum are at same ranks.

In my opinion the following are good platforms:

• Cardano (ADA)
• Tezos (XTZ)
• Ontology (ONT)

Note: I am not holding any of them since my bag is 80%+ BTC.

Many people say that Cardano is a prospective coin and I think with great liquidity and traded on many exchangers, Cardano can be a profitable investment. Ethereum is still popular because ERC-20 tokens are used by many projects and I think it takes a long time to shift ethereum

After Ethereum the next best smart contract platform is EOS, it's almost on par with Ethereum in Asian part of the word, in this case that's why it's called' Chinese Ethereum' .

I think platform switching is not a taboo thing, they are looking for the best platform for their project

In terms of price, I don't think the platform is decisive, because when viewed in coin marketcap tokens with the etherum platform still dominate

Based on what I have followed or done, Stellar I think is good as a smart contract other than etherum. the wallet that BlockEQ uses is also safe and good. for other smart contracts that I've used is waves, but it ended in failure.

You can not actually predict the one that is the best because they all have different usability, scope and limit so in order to get what exactly you are looking for you need to tell us what requirement your project needed so that the community would suggest the best one for you. Personally, I do not like ETH smart contract. This is because it has become the destination of the shit project just because it is very cheap. EOS for me is the best

I'm not in favor of that. Most smart contract next to eth are almost same concept and the only difference is that eos has some technical upgrade where users arent familiar with. I like ethereum because of its very friendly user UI and design. Admit it, but eos have way more harder to grasp for a beginner. Im not saying their platform is not good but peoppe will prefer an easy to use one. Lots of dApps has been seen on both of these but its to early to assume eos can beat eth.

I prefer this new smart contract Klaytn which recently partnered with two famous exchanges of Binance and Okex. Obviously these two market are interested with this Korean Project and many have also noticed their appearance worldwide.

Well, the question is "after" ethereum, I do think ethereum is by far the best one and I wouldn't pick any other as long as I don't have to, but if I am forced to pick one I would definitely go with EOS as well. Once again, I am not really into it and I would rather not pick EOS and keep going with ethereum if I am a developer for such a thing, however the question strictly says "after" ethereum so if I have to pick one EOS even tho being on a huge margin difference, is the second best one.

Looking at all other ones they look like either super centralized, scammy, shady or basically just bad. NEO used to be good but not even used anymore, Tron is just... justin sun. So, we are only left with eos as the second best one in the smart contract platform.

In my opinion, the Ethereum smart contract platform is still the best at the moment. there are indeed several other smart contract platforms that have sprung up. however, the Ethereum smart contract platform still dominates today. in fact, almost all previous and emerging projects use the smart ethereum contract platform.

I do not want to say that the Ethereum Blockchain is bad, but I also can not say that it is the best. if we talk about the functionality of the blockchain, that is, projects are much better. all they need to do is get people's support. if we talk about ethereum, then it has the support of the community, but technologically, it is moving to failure

Some people did a compare to others smart contact with Ethereum but it's pointless. From new smart contact only Credits is doing good job. From top coin only Eos and Stellar has better performance. Especially EOS is my chosen one after ranking Ethereum smart contact.

That's right. Everything has its place and time. In the Russian language there is a good proverb on this subject - "To someone Pop (Russian holy father), to whom the Pop-wife, and to someone and to someone their daughter." Ethereum for its purposes and it has its own advantages. The rest of the owls ... in fact it is very good that there is such a variety)

indeed, getting people's support is far more important, but if we look at the blockchain used by the current project, the Smart Ethereum contract platform is the most widely used by almost all projects built. and until now, in my opinion, the Smart Ethereum contract platform is still the best.

After Ethereum I prefer NEO, better than EOS and Tron combined, I haven't have the opportunity to try cardano but I'm not that a fan of ETH smart contract which I think it's the main reason why crypto space is full of crap projects, the freedom given to investors makes ERC20 the best for scammers
