Title: How to Deal with worst Market
Post by: fib1231 on February 17, 2020, 03:34:52 PM
Sometime this is very painful when we are expecting a very positive, a very aggressive market but suddenly we see the whole market have crashed and all panic selling start. Here is what we need to do,

  • Sell our Coins and be safe
  • Wait for a little bounce back and exit
  • Let it be and remain Relax

The most important factor when assessing the market is context. Historical context in particular is very important. It's a cliche and a truism that crypto markets are volatile, but if you look over the longer term, years, then patterns are very apparent. An awareness of market cycles  can inform your decisions and prevent reckless fomo buying or panic selling.

for some reason, altcoin a bit sensitive than bitcoin, even more i guess.on positive ways,we can get a tons of profit when the pump time coming, but the worst,we got REKT when bear come.
i guess the only solution for it just research which coin want you buy, then make a profit target, and consistent for it.

I keep saying it and I will keep saying it, crypto market is impossible to read, every little predictions are simply predictions and predictions are meant to be wrong most times, use USDT to avoid loss and buy back when coins are cheaper

I guess you described it the other way around, Bitcoin is more sensitive and reflective to your investment relative to its price unlike the alternatives. Altcoins can hardly double your capital even its price is less than a dollar due to some popularity reasons, even you pray a hundred times that it will pump , it won't.

but the worst,we got REKT when bear come.
i guess the only solution for it just research which coin want you buy, then make a profit target, and consistent for it.
The only solution is to think with a proper basis, always ask yourself if the coin is worth to wait the pump or not. And be too wary of the movements, just like what I have said the popularity of the coin contributes a lot on its price, just look at the top 10 man.

I think action should depend on the coin's situation.  We cannot do all those stuff in one coin since if we do one of the listed, we cannot do the other two.  But before taking any action, we should analyze the coin's project first.  We must know the activity of the developer and community, then whatever our findings are, that is the time we can decide which action to do.

Quote
  • Sell our Coins and be safe
I may do thisif the project is dead and development is totally abandoned.

Quote
  • Wait for a little bounce back and exit
This one would be good if we decided to not hold the coins anymore and plan to exit with profit at least.

Quote
  • Let it be and remain Relax
If the development is still ongoing and community is growing.  The time will come that this project will recover.

That's the same as saying everyone should off have sold all their coins in January 2017, only to witness the biggest bull run happen in the whole crypto industry. The same thing is likely to happen, either this year, or next year.
Don't be so impatient!

Research
Invest
Hold on...

Blocknet bounced 300% just recently, one of the most undervalued projects I know off, and seems to make another move (20%+) despite the low volume.

Do your own research, Blocknet was the first project to develop a DEX, and is working on a decentralized oracle solution (currently in beta), so it's definitely a good idea to keep a good eye on this one.

If it is me then I will hold my assets and wait for few more months, see crypto is only to those who are planning for long-term. Sometimes market will crash hardly and it will bounce back it depends, we must always be ready to get used to it. Also kindly don't sell your holdings especially when the market is turning bluddy, keep calm and wait for your day.

One needs to manage his emotion very well in this market, nothing looks like a bad market here is just the regular correction we have seen in past months. It should not generate a big discussion every time. Whenever bitcoin is going down we might need to check altcoins' bitcoin value to analyse the extent of dump in the whole market, it might only be usd value dump.

That is, you offer everyone to sell their coins that they may have held for a long time only in order to reassure themselves and be safe.
I doubt that for someone such a choice will be acceptable, because we have already seen how the crypto market can grow in just a few weeks.

Therefore, I assume that most altcoin holders will continue to hold .

I think your tip is somewhat late though, I mean the worsening market conditions is around 2018-2019 and this year it seems that we are having a good bounce because investors restoring their faith again.

So basically what we need to do now is to continue to invest on the top 10 altcoins and then continue to hold. No need to panic as this point, patience is the key here.

Know how to deal with the most volatile market and sell only if you know how to execute it and if it reaches your cost cutting price but if you don’t have it then keep holding and remain focus. This is not a worst market btw, if its just a small correction then its normal but if its last then know when to buy again.

I may not agree that we could do all of that on the coin that we are supporting. I believe that it depends on the situation of the coin and we have to be very smart on doing decisions on every situation. Panicking is not a good move specially when doing decisions, we should evaluate first the situation before we make our decision.

facing worst market condition need fresh mind, we must think clearly for every single decision that we will take. even that cut loss or hold our portofolio. if we have trading skill we would not be panic when market suddenly crashing. only few people that prepare their self well before start trading in cryptocurrency market.

First of all Study the market carefully and then I will suggest if there will be re-bounce or is just a correctional market then i will suggest you hold on let things settle down a bit but if you have an unsure coin then is best to take losses and walk away before it hit point of no return

I just experienced this just this week and I choose to remain relax or calm and let things be because this is natural and has been happening since the start of Cryptocurrency trading, we are in the bull season the market will always bounce back, history already prove that.

This situation learn me one thing that top exchange listed coin don't pay well even Binance exchange. Sell your coin and stay with Bitcoin until halving this year. Sell your coin if you invested in IEO then let it be and remain relax. You should panic in every coin without only USD or stable coin.

Isnt that coward moves? When the market crashes and your asset becomes red, the best thing to do is hold it off until it becomes break even or at least some profits have been made. I will never sell at a loss except if the tokens came from bounty thats the least I can do for a free money tokens that I received. But trading wise, no especially if you invest using your own money.

I think market will correct after a period of price increases and it is a very good opportunity to consider investing in some coins. In fact, there are many new options for investors and it does not take too long to research because if the community of the project works well, the project will certainly be very successful. In addition, this year's investment trend is better than last year so making profits will become easier.

Keep relax i think is the main key, because although you are an expert, if you panic your skill wouldn't really helpful. If me maybe from that option, relaxy is number 2 because i will be panic. Not means i can't give suggestion because no need to do that thing first if we can give good suggestion for other people. But we should never forget how volatile the markets are and even those markets might just move exactly opposite as you predicted. Perhaps it might even be possible that each of the coins start having dump which would never give you profits if you just bought at a higher price and that price gets hard to touch again. That is the reason why you should always think in both the directions.

The markets might not always move as per desired. You have to bear loss sometimes. In case the markets start having a major dump than you should sell those coins no matter how much loss you have to face but you have to cover the loss by making some minor profits from the same markets.

How to deal with the worst market? Then probably let be it in which you just relax and let it happens, the market in unpredictable and the cryptocurrency is changing everytime and it is fluctuating all of the time so no nrrd to eorry, if the market seems bad right now then probably there is a chance that the market is already good tomorrow that is how to deal with the market, if you don't want to lose any amount of your money then probably just hold your coins and wait for the right time to sell it and don't panic if the value of your coin dump so high because there is a chance that it will pump so high or increase tomorrow.

Depend to your intention actually, if your intention was to hold them for long term pariode then you don't need to worry although the price coin that you hold is decreasing.

If you set those thing before you invest then the three that you mentioned won't be taken anymore. You will never try to sell because you will have your own strategy,  and you don't need someone else predcition.

So if I were you, I'll play safe to deal with this situation. I mean, although my intention was long term investment then I'll find using technical analyst and finally I will got the prediction which I think it will be right and will get profit.

I agree with your points, not everyone can make the right decision in a bad time, but selling coins for being safe is a very positive idea! To me, I will sell my holding coins and will buy later when the market will go lower. I followed this strategy in 2018 when the Bitcoin price was 3400$! Therefore the third option also great advice, because if your invested coins are good enough and you believe all will go up again with the Bitcoin grows then you can stay calm, relax instead of selling at a low price!

It is up to you and the altcoin you are holding. If you are holding Bitcoin and the leading altcoins in the market, you do not need to panic. Sooner or later, its price will go up again, but if you hold altcoins outside the top 10, you need to sell because its price is difficult to go up after each collapse. Sell and buy them back for a cheaper price

The sooner or later, the price goes up thing does not apply to all cryptocurrencies.  We still need to check the market and the condition of the project.  There are lots of once lively coin that is so dead now.

Indeed cutting losses and buying at the dip is the best strategy to go if we are right in our assumption.  Just to let you know, several investors did this (short their trade and expect for the price to go down) but right after they sold their holding price rally up to x times the previous price.  In short, it is not the safest method because risk of the market rallying up after the short is always there.

I think there is nothing need to be done as far as you are in for the long run, ups and downs are normal and part of every financial market, we need to be mature enough to know that nothing can move straight up, rest assured seems like overall sentiment is positive now in the market which will result in continuation of bullish wave.

Don't sell a lot. In times of even the bearish trend, I still sell a bit to fiat cash for the sake of my earnings to satisfy my needs that wouldn't be done through crypto. It won't hurt a lot but just don't play the all-out game. This isn't a card game that you can just bet and hope for the best. Understand if you're really screwed with the current market condition, and decide if selling would be the best idea right now.
The rest of what the OP said seems pretty easy if you had done the first at the right way.

When the market is worst and you are shorts already

The first step is to evaluate your portfolio
evaluate each assets on your portfolio and determine their chances of success.

Then decide is cutting loss or holding indefinitely will br the way

You would need some deep research to identify the dump or the pump. There are different types of markets and hence our strategies vary depending on each of these markets. In spot trading we could try to hold the coin until we see the price getting back to normal but in case of futures or margin trading, you have to sell your coins at loss if the price starts descending or else all of your funds might be liquidated. So it entirely depends on the markets you are trading.

Most of the times, try to avoid selling at loss because these losses can add up to be a major loss ahead. You have to change your strategy if the markets are moving in opposite direction. Try to find profits in small dumps and pumps which can cover your loss.

I always prefer sell coins and be safe if you don’t have enough knowledge about your assets. Because in bleeding time I don’t want to take risks.because I suffered in 2018 for my bad steps.after that I always try to safe.and if i see something wrong i just sell my coins.

Waiting for the price to dip again for you to be able to buy again needs a lot of patience to resist in buying too early. Its a punishment when you see prices constantly rising while you are are holding your USDT waiting for price to dip. I wouldn't do this unless I mistakenly dumped. Its best to just buy every time there is a crash of price and then never sell while the bullrun just keeps moving up. It will go up because halving is yet to come.

How could we be safe by selling our coins? This indeed is panic selling. The markets might never run according to our predictions. We would see the markets running in opposite direction a lot of times and in such times we should patiently hold our coins until our expected price is reached so that we could than execute a sell order.

Cryptocurrency markets are most volatile which might also make the price go in negative direction. In this situation, we should try to hold our coins by setting a stop-loss. You should never forget to set up a stop-loss in order to avoid excess loss. Most of the times, try to be patient as the prices would again move upwards in much less time.

Just relax. There is nothing worst scenario than going back to what we have started. So we better handle every situation with a good heart and relax mind. We cannot properly decide if we panic or when we are driven by emotion. It is when we should think of a better way and get up from our loses. We should need a game plan and contingency measures.

Why "exit"? I think it is not needed. This seems like "give up", and it is a bad way for a crypto investor/trader. You must be ready with every condition on the market when you decide to invest/trade crypto coins.

  • Let it be and remain Relax
Yes, just relax and wait for the next bull season. This is what smart investors/traders do, let it be and stay calm to wait for the changes in the market trend.

You should always be ready at any time to cut your losses as your risk management or trading plan tells you to as well. Although you may find it likely that Bitcoin or any other altcoin will strongly rise in the future, as the OP mentioned, things can and will go wrong in crypto and you might be caught holding a bag for months or maybe even years at a loss. There are times when it's appropriate to hold coins temporarily, but also realize that many coins end up dipping in price and never come back up. I know personally it can be very hard to accept a loss, but there are an infinite amount of potentially profitable trading opportunities in the future too.

Selling our coins? it should be selling or cutting loss. This will prevent you to further losses however, if you don't plan to recover, you won't invest again anymore and don't buy that coin that made you lost. But this is crypto and that's a basic situation for most investors.

The coins that we're having trouble right now, might perform good tomorrow. Most of the time, by just holding your assets you won't face trouble and it's a better suggestion rather than having an exit. This is more for the panic folks.

It all must be based on mental and strong analysis to be able to survive in conditions that are not conducive. Trading and investing is not a simple thing, it's a complex system that involves experience, calculation, and mentality. So if you do not have the ability capable and mentally unstable, it's better to just wait and see when the market is chaotic. If all efforts have been made and are still trapped, then the best choice is to make peace with reality and respect every decision. Maybe you haven't been lucky, try again.

No 1: for u to sell your coin and be safe, do you mean converting bitcoin or etherum to tether or u mean dumping fof fiat?
Instead of waiting for a bear market to showcase, why not take your profits sequentially

No 2: if you want to wait for greener days, then you need a proper research plan in place, that helps you predict the range of time to expect a proper price to sell your token.

No 3: if it is bitcoin, you can leave it and let it be, but for others always be on the lookout

Best way is to keep vigilant and learn from the market trends, also market lows are a good time to re-assess whether its worth investing time and effort dedicated to one crypto or whether is best to switch to a different one.

In either case, keeping a close eye on the market will usually give you a good indication if you need to hold or sell, and for some these are opportune moments.

Honestly there is only two things anyone can do about horrible markets ; waiting and avarage dropping. Now if you do not want to be part of a coin anymore and want to leave that is totally understandable, you should leave/sell any coin that you longer want to be a part of and there is no problem with that, not all coins are great and some of them are horrible so I can understand why anyone would want to leave any coin.

However if you want to stay, you have to be patient, you have to also drop the avarage purchasing price down as well by buying even lower and going in even deeper so you can get out even quicker. Think of bitcoin, if you bought at 20k, you would have to still wait to get out, you wouldn't profit and that means longer waiting period, however if you bought at 3k, that would drop the avarage down to 11.5k price and that meanst last april you would be in profit and be able to sell for a profit just after one or slightly longer year of waiting to profit in the worst time period of bitcoin world.

So waiting and dollar cost avaraging, do that and you will most likely profit at all times, it may take a lot but as you can see from the example that even on the worst possible ever moment of the past 10 years we had only just a bit over a year for waiting and we still profited, keep that in mind and do exactly what I suggested and you should be profiting. This of course only works for proper coins, if you are involved with some small tiny coin that not many people know about, that will not be same, it may never go back up.

Yes, sometimes it is really worth just waiting out an unfavorable situation in the market. The most important thing is to monitor your emotions and understand that this is not forever. The market can't always be in decline, sooner or later everything will change.

it's good to choose the right altcoin that is always consistent in the crypto market and never invest blindly with the profits made by the project, at least we have to know what is happening and why altcoin is falling or rising.

Every investors must know this before engaging themselves in crypto, market is high volatile therefore expect for the worst scenario.

Dealing to this kind of situation wont be easy if you buy your coins at high price. But selling for me is not the solution, I will only lose my money if I did that. The best thing to do is wait and have patience, dont panic or think of negative thoughts because it might tempt you to sell for thinking the market will stay bearish forever.

Here is what we need to do,
  • Sell our Coins and be safe
  • Wait for a little bounce back and exit
  • Let it be and remain Relax

I think I'm gonna pick the last choice. Yes market often crashes but notice that it also got back on some other time right. You didnt lose any money if you didnt sell any of your asset. You just lose certain value but the asset still intact. This is the problem with most users. Once the market crashes and see their portfolio going down and too much red they already going to surrender and sell and leave. That kind of atittude will not go further especially in thus field.

Panic selling is for those newbies who one, did not invest what they can afford to lose so they hang on to their investment even to the point of knowing that the price will eventually recover, if you have been investing for the last 4 years you know for sure that 's how the market moves it will go up it will go down, but so far moving forward on all those years that the market suffer a downfall.

Nothing we can do even we panic actually. Best case is to stand by and just wait. I dont think many newbies are well taught of that attitude when it comes to trading.

it's good to choose the right altcoin that is always consistent in the crypto market and never invest blindly with the profits made by the project.

If that's the choice then, go for major or top coins such as eth and xrp their movement is really not that so volatile unlike other new coins and tokens that can easily down by how many percent even just for an overnight.

if you have been investing for the last 4 years you know for sure that 's how the market moves it will go up it will go down, but so far moving forward on all those years that the market suffer a downfall.

Not so long but at least I wactched and observed the market movement and now Im just chilling waiting for the right time to sell my asset that been holding for quite a while.

I will not choose any of the above options . Use of stop-loss all the time in market conditions. so that your fund management is alwals right and it is never good to invest in the whole fund in market . It is good to hold 30% fund , whenever the market crush , I can buy again at the bottom . Then there will be profit....

You have complete list but I'm sure all depend your plan and psychology, trader is not robot they can change strategy any time with unrealistic mindset and fear. I just don't agree with wait for little bounce back and exit, if you use it I think you not follow your plan correctly. When price reach your limit just close it what ever result you have, there's possibility bounce will never happen and lost time and money because this decision. Make good plan, follow your rules and exit market when reach your target, that's it.

I more often do point to 3. moreover if I don't really need money. there's no point in panicking if that happens. all you need to do is chill your head, and think about what decision you will make. I always target long-term investments, so I feel that staying relaxed until the time comes to sell is something to take.

Wasn't that like 2 years ago? After the major hype died, more companies slowly start to recognize Bitcoin. Also, I reckoned many have also sold off after a lengthy period of "depression".

Now we're seeing some minor dip but who knows, the next big news or halving could send it on a fresh bull run.

I don't think it's that easy to understand price movements in the market. That can be done if we already know the future price movements and I don't think anyone knows for sure. In my opinion, if we are sure of the coins we hold, it is better to hold for the long term especially if the coins have large transaction volumes and are traded in large exchangers

Indeed, but still depends on the coin of course. If your coin is just a recent token then better to dump it once. Just hoard during its ICO, airdrop or token sales then sell it once it reaches the price you anticipate or willing to sell :). I'm not discouraging you to continue altcoin investing but you should be aware that nowadays tokens seems just intended for pumping and dumping. On the other hand, if you got an old coin and you think it was well established then go ahead, "Buy low, Sell high" and make the most of it :D. Just make sure that you do it with care huh.

Why don't you convert your balance into USDT instead when you are convinced that the market will go down. Traders should listen everyone's suggestion but should make the decision by his own thinking. If you think your project is good enough then you should hold that coin as long as you can because most of the time market will recover from bad conditions.

I think this is a good time to invest again because most coins have rallied with Bitcoin during this period. The demand for investment in this market is on the rise in recent weeks and if you can choose a good coin for long-term investment, consider holding some more time. Personally, I'm sure altcoin season will return to being like 2017 again and it will be a good time to make a profit.

A few weeks this market has undergone a surprising change. And the situation makes us more cautious in facing the worst situation.

Agree, although cutting loss may be a pity but somewhere we are avoiding great losses because when the market shows signs of going down and getting worse than ever, standing outside is always the best way, instead of thinking that we are experts and we can surf here. And only when the recovery sign radiates the first rays, buying a bottom will become an opportunity for us to recover the losses and create more assets, but the way of dealing with the market of each person is different, not so passive in one direction

Indeed, but at this time it seems like bitcoin price is showing to increase again. Based on coinmarketcap its price has been increasing around 1% which I mean the correction will be ended.

Other than that, the market has been spreading up by some good prediction against bitcoin price. Such as there is an article who stated that before the month of May bitcoin will be up to $27.000.

Although there is no guarantee to believe the speculation but at least the people who read the article will have more confident to buy again. Other than that, as you may know the kraken has stated that the whales has coming.

What we all need to do is to just relax and remain calm wait until the bullish of our holdings and do not panic selling our coins and holdings because it may give us huge loss and we may suffer from heavy loss and which we are definitely hard to bounce back.
About what you have saying on wait for a little bounce back then exit it is good in which you just need to recover your loss or wait until it pump again then you may exit so that you will not be able to suffer from losses.

Sell your coins before the dump,if you starts selling soon once its get crahses then its called panic selling which will result the market to be more worse. If you missed to sell at the peak then wait for the coin to bounce back if it didn't bounce back even whe market seems bullish then move to other coin and starts holding it.

We can relax if we know that our TA is doing fine and we can relax even if we leave our trades or even there is a bounce back or not if we do not forget to set a "stop loss".Worst market can not be prevented but with a good management plan we can still manage even the worst scenario.

Often atimes when market is going down,  it's safe to just count your loss and tether or just sell it off. The cliche' buy the dip sieze to exist when the dip started getting dipper even after thorough analysis from experts. The market is highly unpredictable, the asset you can count as your own is far worth more than some potential speculative assets value. When a coin/token dip reaches my stop limit,  i tether cause usdt is the bridge between Fiat and crypto coins.

The bad market condition makes people to be nervous and this results in bad decision making. During the process, it is always like you have lost a little percentage of your money and you want to regain it back but this might result in losing more money than you intend. It is always good to play safe by converting your coin to USDT and lay low until the market becomes a bit stabilize and the direction of trading can easily be guessed without need to be panic in selling off or lose your coin

I think the price of Bitcoin is still very cheap and for the time being still very suitable for investing. The current market has not had many big changes and will definitely continue to grow again in the near future. In my opinion the price of Bitcoin and some altcoins will increase together at a time when people are most surprised, so consider investing early.

When market conditions are bad because bitcoin has experienced a slight decline, altcoin is very sensitive in responding to that condition and often experiences a large decline. The right way to deal with it is to immediately sell altcoin, buy back and if it's already deep then what can be done is to keep holding.

Selling altcoin before it is down too deep will be a good way to prevent the big loss in the trading so we can wait for a while to buy the altcoin at a low price. When bitcoin price is down, the altcoin will adjust the price, and many altcoins will go down too deep because we don't know when bitcoin will stop to go down.

Buyback the altcoin will give us a chance to get a lower price than before so we can expect after the downtrend of the market, the altcoin will be back to increase. Besides that, we can get out of the market if the market becomes worst so we can save the money that we have before we can buy the coin at a lower price.

Well, that was the sad reality of the market we are all currently into. Volatility is inevitable or common in the market which all of the cryptocurrencies do possess. To be able to regain positivity and bounce back from the downfall we might be able to face, we must be able to have a relax mindset to get into a clear mind to think of a good decision to be made. We always must be observant on the latest happening most specially into the price movement to be able to see what are the coins worthy to be hold for a long term and sell those that are already struggling with their prices to made them valuable to us. Investing into a more potential coin will be a key to regain the loss we have on a down market. Buy when it is on a low price and sell when the price strikes back which can give us potential profit to regain the capital we have exerted. Be calm and do not let your emotions drive you into making decision because it might end up making impulsive decisions which is not good because such decisions might result to regretful outcomes. Just stay calm even it is hard to face such circumstances because those are just challenges we need to conquer to be able to continue our journey in this industry. Be wise enough to make fast yet reliable decisions in a fast changing market brought by volatility.

The question is, would you able to do such things in actual? Im sure it wouldnt really be that easy. Panic sell is pretty common so it aint surprising for someone who do commit such action specially
if these people do get hooked with FUDs or fake news in the market. Price is always been unpredictable where you do believe that its already on bullish sentiment but it turns out into the opposite way.
Dealing with it does correspond on how well you are on handling your emotions or reactions anytime you do encounter such situation.

The best part is to apply a stop loss mechanism to avoid having to wait for market pull back which will never happen. Avoid every loss you can to save your investment funds. If you wait on a project to recover it may never happen save your funds as much as you can.

Patience is the key. Keep in mind that the market behavior won't be always in favor to your likings. The market itself, in thr first place is volatilr, meaning we cannot control and avoid dumps in the market value of cryptos. There are options such as selling and holding, depending on the likeness of the investor. One could sell out early but selling it is simply cutting down the chance of earning profit once recovery occur after a downfall( which happens a lot).
The acceptance of the truth is  one of important things in all the fields not just crypto trading, we have no idea what's coming next in the market but we can't deal with any situation especially when we have a multiple straregies or plans, it is certain and true that the crypto world is unpredictable but we can take the right decision when the ancident occurs.
The market is unpredictable and all those expectations of personalities, perhaps, are nothing but mere opinion with their own biases. Ofcourse they are free to do so but believing or not will dictate what will you earn. It is a matter of luck and deep market analyzation that would determine the amount of profit one could earn.

This is right. The market value is the one that falls a lot but the amount of holdings or investment will be the same unless you used it to something that would require you to pay. Such thing should also be looked at as opportunity to invest and earn huge profit once recovery occur in terms of its market price.

Instead of selling off or existing the game we can always rely on tether I mean we can convert our crypto into any of the stable coins and wait for the right moment to make a call whether to covert it back to crypto or sell off. This will give you amole of time to make a proper decision rather than panic selling and regretting later.

If you really understand the market and appreciate how it works, you can be like this but if not, you'll probably be selling off your coins immediately. This is the most common scenario when a doubtful person come into crypto and end up losing.

If we are planning to be a part of the crypto market, we must have to understand first the risk that we face. To know that the market isn't healthy all the time and in aggressiveness. And need also to understand how volatile it is that it makes no reason to think that we are always having an uptrend motion but also we could experience a downfall scenario.

Remember one thing, if the price drops, you don't make any loss as long as you keep holding your coins. The price is dropping, but the number of coins you are holding is not dropping and still the same. So don't just panic when you see the price starting to drop.

1. Sell your coins when you see the price dropping but you you don't want to take any risks at all. You can buy them back when the price reaches the bottom and starts to rise back.

2. What if the "bounce back" never happens? You will be stuck with the coin forever. I would rather suggest holding the coin for long term instead of making an exit without any profit.

3. That is easy to say, but hard to do. Who is going to stay relaxed when the see the investment dropping 10%-15% per day?

Sometime this is very painful when we are expecting a very positive, a very aggressive market but suddenly we see the whole market have crashed and all panic selling start. Here is what we need to do,

  • Sell our Coins and be safe
  • Wait for a little bounce back and exit
  • Let it be and remain Relax

It depends what you are talking about.  If you are talking about a bitcoin drop maybe holding and cost averaging down is better since it will eliminate the missing of a good run up.  If it's a scam coin than just bail doesnt matter what market it is in

There are too many uneducated people who get into investing hoping to get 'rich quick,' and end up paying a huge price. Holding is a fools errand, you'll lose your shirt with that mentality. You need to protect your investment, I usually follow the 7-8% loss rule (for BTC). Then watch the market and wait for it to stabilize. For everyone else, I'll be buying your unwanted crypto at a cheap price.

Holding bitcoin has been a winning strategy.  No way to sell every top and buy every bottom.  Historically bitcoin holders have outpaced bitcoin day traders.  They come and go, people who have held through the years are quite happy  :)

Old investors are aware how bitcoin works. Those who invest early and wait for few years really earn a good amount for holding their btc even it didn't have a supporters yet. They just believe in this crypto and patiently wait. Now we must follow them for not panic selling even we see the market is struggling. Like now most coins are declining but we should not take it negatively, just watch and wait and don't ever sell because it's a mistake and you'll regret once the market recover.

this is be best strategy ever in market, when other coins drop alot bitcoin could steady and even bounce again to initial rate. hold and rebuy could make our profit maximum when halving finished. meanwhile holding another coin outside top 20 make us feel difficult to recovery its investment value, invetors interest different while bitcoin or altcoin price drop.

All three actions are done depending on the situation we are facing, if the development is no longer visible then sell our coins and secure as well as the situation of a project that is running if there is still hope to arise and Can continue to evolve then we must remain relaxed until the time the project will be normal again.

This is the nature of the crypto market in current realities.
Those who managed to get a profit from the dynamics of the 2017 market in 2018 are quite happy with the situation.
The rest have to ride the waves of frustration and frustration created by the whales and their own heads.
Alas, the crypto market is changing too quickly for us to find a simple, working and most importantly profitable formula for interacting with it.

The best way to manage your profile when there's volatility is to hedge your assets rather than liquidating them and you can do this using Tether, and make sure you be patient for profits, invest in top ranked assets, and don't panic sell just because there's a little dip instead buy when there is

Whether you are in short term or long term trading, it's always advisable to learn how to manage your funds well and diversify your investment.
The market has been very unpredictable, volatile by nature so you can't just rely your future on one coin you believe is a hidden gem or a great coin as anything could happen, as we can see, even the best coins in the market suffer in the bear market, we should see that coming.

I can not agree with you. I prefer, and advise others, to trade exclusively with one coin. More precisely, two, or Bitcoin, or some alternative coin with more or less good resistance to volatility.
If you spray on a lot of other coins, you will definitely make a lot of mistakes because controlling this is very difficult.

It seems that the current market situation has begun to improve, so I think if you have a good investment such as saving some popular coins, especially BTC, eth, bnb, eos, & LTC there is no need to worry about the current market situation. You just need to be patient and wait for the market until the price of your coins increases significantly.

You are right, nobody has any clue about the market prediction and they should always plan according to the money they have. Some experienced traders will always plan huge investments in the worst market only because there is a huge possibility to recover the prices. An experienced trader will always plan according to market situations.

This can be look at in two ways, during the trading Period and the holding period during the worst market. In the context of trading, one is advise to be more careful of greediness as this can cause a major Los. Many traders are often mistaken profit and stop los, profit taken sometimes cause traders to forgets stop los. Then, when the market go worst is advisable to apply a stop los principle in trading. For holding, sometimes I used to swap my high volatile coins to stable coins whenever the cryptocurrency market go worst.

Keep quiet, hold what you have, add more if possible! Is how you survive bad times and have a chance
to make a huge profit when the bad times come to an end. Selling in panic, trying to manipulate with
the market to make quick profit, all that can lead you to make a mistake and you are risking to lose what
you have. I don't do that, I keep tight and it's what I think it's the best we can do at the moment. Adding

It's not the worse market so far. Crypto seems to have a good chance of getting new investors. You can either trade or hold in crypto, earning coins every time there is a chance in the market is possible but this is if you just knew what you ar doing. Those who lose and regrets later are the ones who didn't hold.

Only few will relax and let it be. Majority will sell off and move on. The time frame for a coin to rise back to your entry price is unpredictable. You will hold a coin and get tired of holding. That's why it's better to trade your coin.

it all depends on the coin you hold. Many of them are way past their prime and have no salvage value. So the earlier we sell and cut loss, the better. While for some coin you have to hold for long term. Every coin has its peculiarities

Best way to make money during the worst market is to always wait. If you are patient enough you will see that price goes down a lot during the bad periods and you will be able to just get bitcoin from cheaper prices. Now if you are in bitcoin and already bought it and it dropped after you bought it, you will definitely just keep it going on and not do anything at all, that is enough, do not sell, you can buy if you want, but that's it. If you start selling when you are in negative, you are not going to make any profit at all.

I would personally just keep on buying, look at people who bought at 20k, if they bought at 3k last time we were there, they would have been in profit by now if they invested enough there. That is just what I would do tho, I don't know what you would think smarter.

I like your ideology, the best way to deal with the worst market to me is keeping some funds in USDT or another stable coin, then buy in when there is a bad dump. Worst mistake to make if you didn't set a stop loss is to sell very cheap, definitely price will bounce back. I bought BTC above 9k some days ago, but I can't sell right now because it's not wise for me.

@rahmatullah, you are still repeating the second point that @FlagstaffRevel said. However, with this present situation of the market, it is still an opportunity to make more profit. Everything is undulating. There is no stability yet. So, a market that moves to and fro will be good for trading.

The first thing to consider is your main decision for investing in Bitcoin. If your main plan was to invest in it for a long time, then I'd advise you to just leave it and relax and wait for when the market will get back.

Another thing you have to consider is when you started your investment to know whether you started at the right time or not, because if you didn't start at the right time, then I don't see any need to wait unless you're ready to hold for a longer time than you have expected. But if yes that you have invested at the right time, then you should go ahead with it and relax till things get back to normal.

i have been an investor in crypto for quite awhile already, and I learn the easiest secret to making money and that is by trusting the market to recover every time it will fall, and the strategy is just to always buy at dip and like I said, hold and wait until the price will rise.

I think to be able to avoid some horrible exchange places then you can choose a place that is truly trusted and do not try to use another exchange that is still new, a few cases ago that attacked the BCNEX exchange that made many traders unable to withdraw assets.

if altcoin you invest has great potential, you don't need to panic if there is the worst possibility for the market, because if you panic you will suffer losses keep calm then sooner or later the altcoin will get back on track again.
different from you choose altcoin that does not have the advantage ready to be ready you suffer losses that can not be countered again.

Yes, absolutely agree with you, selling coin at bear market will not seems the great option to me. Because this market is volatile and you have to always prepare for such kind of situations. Panic sell won't be great idea instead of it if you see potential in coin then you must have to hold it. Something it's good to hold otherwise you will regret about it later.

It depends on your knowledge and experience pretty much in the financial market. I know a lot of people have lost a lot of money when bitcoin dropped from $ 10k4 to $ 3k7 in just one week. This is crazy and that's the nature of finance. When there are already too many fomo people about something, don't run after it. Be the earliest to join or never join the game when the fomo level is at its peak. It is my experience to avoid strong market dumps.

Many people rush to buy when the price already topped! It's a mistake many people make, they believe it will continue to rise and they will make incredible profit! But who have experience with how markets do knows that every rise has a top and after that price will have a correction! some time ago I have experienced something similar like this I was hit by a victim from the BCNEX exchange place, until now I still cannot withdraw assets that are still stuck at the exchange place, even though at the beginning they had a good platform but at the end of last year they show symptoms of a scam and it turns out that up until now there was a scam.

A lesson must be learned from your experience and that is be careful when you're choosing an exchange platform. This is why it's best just to go with the known names of the exchanges rather than trying something new that you would be risking your money.
For test trials you can spend a small amount if that's the purpose but for bigger amounts, I would rather not that instead.

Sell coins and be safe - and why did you buy? To sell in a loss?  :D You probably do not understand the real potential of cryptocurrencies, we are first inventors of the new technology that will change the world as we know.  8)

Sometime sell coins can save your life, selling your assets/coins while the market have crashed.
We don't know when the price will rise up/ maybe the price will falling more deep or maybe the coin will doesn't has value anymore(I had a bad experience about Bankera, the price can't rise up Then the coins has no value anymore)
it Depend on what coin you have

All situation will be as like a glass of water here in market place, As a businessman all types wrosty is nothing as counted a thread. DO some research
stay and invest when worst Market will become the best markrt to deal with it .
Investing in the worst markets will also be at risk for loss, because a bad market will not improve immediately, so be careful in investing and always use very complete research so as not to get trapped and not regret later.

That's why we need to hold and wait until the market will recover.

i have been an investor in crypto for quite awhile already, and I learn the easiest secret to making money and that is by trusting the market to recover every time it will fall, and the strategy is just to always buy at dip and like I said, hold and wait until the price will rise.

at least if we are able to choose potential coins to invest in, in a bad market situation certainly can get a chance to be able to buy when the price is low and can be held for a long time until the market returns to recover or the price rises sharply
