I've always stayed away from eSports betting as I'm a complete noob when it comes to them , I used to follow a couple of Cs:Go teams in the past , but betting wise I think it would be a total disaster , as I've noticed top CS:GO teams purposely lose some matches in the group stages etc , as to not reveal their strategies etc for the higher-up games.

But yeah , some insight and some tips on esports would be greatly appreciated. :)

Most source for the upcoming matches, change of roster and everything with the esports that you want to follow is always updated on liquipedia[1].

For Dota 2 fans, Starladder is the next tournament where everyone will tune in this March 5-8.

I've loved playing online games for a very long time and I get to try everything that I can to be satisfied with what I am playing. League of Legends and Dota 2 where my main games, I also play FPS games but not most of the time.

I also learned strategies and being updated on the games I played on different forums.

I am using Dota Buff (https://www.dotabuff.com/) on for a long time that I rely here most often that the official announcement on steam for Dota 2 updates.

There's a Pinoy game forum also that I'm visiting once in a while, It's new to me but I feel comfortable reading there because it is in my native language. It's Pinoy Gamer. (https://pinoygamer.ph/)  It's an all in one forum like this that you can also sell some game-related items or top-ups.

I also like Esport betting since I grow up from playing so many MOBA games from DOTA up to DOTA 2 and LOL and now also Mobile Legends.
This is where we would have an advantage since we know the teams and we know how they work,
And it doesn't really depend so much on luck it depends on their skills.
And OP you should move this to gambling discussion I think gambling Section is for promoting a gambling project not a section to talk about this things.

When new players are looking to place a bet on eSpors games, players and tournaments, is it more like sports where you better read some history, make predictions, calculate the odds, see the players starts ans so..... or better like gambling where you just place the bet more like slots and wait for the winning shot ?

Also, can you rate tree top games to place a bet, as there are so many. I believe CG:GO. DOTA2 and League of Legends suppose to the be the top ones in terms of interest and games played, but are these the best ones to place a bet ?

Yes, those three are the calibers of esports. But another one that's popular is Fortnight but I think there's a very few people that bet on it or also the factor of the casino that lists the games of it is actually few.

One game that's also rising is Call of Duty, the newer version and I think these other games will have hard time to beat the three esports caliber games.

When it comes to Esports then i would say that these 3 would be the best games to bet on.There are actually some other games as well but the number of players
arent really that equal compared to this 3. Hence, everytime that theres a competition or big events into these games, they are mostly being available on most
crypto bookies that we've known. They've been listed for a while now and theres actually a demand on esports betting.

In dota and league its more similar to sports but you need to know more than looking at their stats, recent form and missing players because sometimes an even series could suddenly turn in favor of one team just because of poor drafting.

Overwatch and Starcraft are also good games to bet on but they have less tournaments compared to those three you mentioned.

eSports are also big in betting I have been betting in DOTA2 and LOL for so long,
I started to gamble with eSports back in 2012 but to be honest I don't really like it since I am a bit of a bias on it I would only bet on my favorite Teams and I don't want to analyze other teams.
I used to bet against my friends back with DOTA tournaments then I switch to playing LOL then started to bet with it too.

You act like no site has provided esports betting options yet in the crypto world. There are plenty of options available already.

Some examples are:
- Pinnacle
- Fairlay
- Bovada

I have placed many esports bets using BTC in recent times(Lost most of them). There are many more options available. You just need to do a bit of research op.

Esports and betting on it is already a big thing, only issue is people are underestimating this fact and not taking the esports industry seriously as a whole. Everybody with different opinion should simply check statistics of the price pools, spectators amount, engagement of the communities and so on. Operator, who is developing his esports betting segment is the one, who wants to stay relevant in the future, because he is aware Esports community is huge, but many of the future potential players did not reach the legal age for gambling yet= --> everyday thousands of esports fans are reaching legal gambling age = everyday thousands of new potential players/clients with crypto in their wallet who take esports as seriously, as we took football in the age of 18.

oh come on bro, u dont have to say something like that. we know exactly the only way for it just you should know well about what eSports u like.
for example,i like dota,i following every development about the game, both from the team, game changes and others.
so far i just choose sportsbet and one hash for betting site.
a little tips from me,better to bet a live bet rather than place bet early.
a little mistake from hero draft can change anything.

Live betting and betting before the game starts both are good, if you know how to hedge your gambling positions.

If you believe that team A in DotA is going to win but their odds are around 2.5 and you bet on them, but during the live play you see that team B is doing bad but they have better odds like 2.6 or more due to low score, there's nothing bad in putting an extra bet on team B as well as it'll give you profit only in the end. I have done this in tennis games where odds change very quick during live betting, point by point, service after service.

Actually, lots of sources that people can follow and some of those are already mentioned at some of the replies here.

Just a suggestion, to maximize people's chances of winning every bet, they need to know how the team members handle well their respective roles, main and sub. Yes, a literal checking of the players itself.  Not a mandatory one, but it's a must that people really know the game for them to understand the game nature.

Esports actually isn't the next big market because it's already big and still expanding. The fact that the prize pool for every competition is insane, support from the big institutions, Esports was also listed for the first time as part of Southeast Asian games which held in our country is already a big recognition.

I think this should be on "Gambling Discussion" (http://"Gambling Discussion") but if I'm not mistaken, there's some related thread to this.

a little tips from me,better to bet a live bet rather than place bet early.

The same scenario applies to a live sports game.

There is a thing called "turning-point" and it always happens in PVP-based games.

I am not into esports betting but what I will do to know if there is a site where I can check or know where I might be able to find any information if there is any tournament upcoming where you can bet is i'm going to search any site that is related to any esports. If you're not satisfied with the site provides here you can search it on google i'm sure that you can find some as I did when I still played dota 2 and want to know if there is a tournament going to start soon.

I like how some crypto-gambling sites considered adding E-sports on their betting list. I thought back then that there is a low chance that crypto-gambling sites will consider adding it on their betting list since the industry is not that vast and popular. But today, it really evolves. Thanks to those developers and sponsors who put efforts to build the legacy of the E-sports industry.

While time passes by, expects that more crypto-gambling sites will add E-sports betting on their list.

And as you noticed, there are more sites now that can be used as a reference and guide for those who want to place a bet on this industry.

eSports industry is already a multi-billion industry so betting sites will really look into this one now. Huge money involve means lots of profits for these casinos that will run eSports betting. Only a matter of time that it will just be a norm in casinos to have eSports in their list. And I think, this is a good one to venture with especially if you are familiar with their games as it will require knowledge to get high chance of winning in this betting category. So it is not pure luck in play here and good for gamblers.

Yes, just few years from now and they'll see that the esports industry is accelerating and promising for the whole gambling industry. A lot of crypto casinos has already adopted it and they've been there already.

It's near to its peak now and I don't want to say that it will dry off soon but we'll still far from that. While it last, they should look into the industry and check out how many amazing tournaments are there and some casinos are even sponsoring popular and professional teams and players.

When it comes to eSports betting I only bet on LOL tournaments,
I only focus on the game that I am also playing since I would be interested to the teams and I would know how good their strategy is and also try to play how they play it.
So I am winning on bets and enhancing my gameplay at the same time.

Esports is become bigger and bigger right now, many big sportsbook fiat and crypto are input Esports on their list. What i hate on esports betting is sometimes it takes a longer time to get grade on esports slip bet (especially on small tournament) and we don't have many options to bet such total over or under kills. Mostly are only who is the winner and handicap.

based on my experience, some team, especially DOTA have a joke or something not serious on hero draft, for example,if the featured team competes with a low quality team,of course we will put bet 2-0 for the major team, but sometimes they want it to 2-1 and create a joke match on round 2.

Esports has gained huge popularity, while they are not such a strong part when it comes to sports betting. Some websites offer some options when some major tournaments are around, though. For instance, a reputable crypto sports betting website Sportsbet.io offers to bet on World of Warcraft, Counterstrike, and MTG. I am sure that if the demand grows, there'll be more offers. Some other websites also allow betting on such tournaments. I am not a fan of computer games, though, so I don't get these matches. I think it's good that gamers get an opportunity to gain something financially from all those hours they've spent to master their skills in these games.

^ That Esports betting is very common now in gambling industries and there are too many bookers that have been opened their platform and increase the list of their games that has many choices to bet. Because the most commonly younger generation now are the most favorite and fan games is on the internet or a computer game. Unlike before the traditional sports. All I know the Esports gambling sites that accept Bitcoin are, Cloudbet.com, Nitrogensports.eu, OneHash, Sportsbet.io, 1xbit.com. & mBit.

Do you have bets on lesser-state games such as rocket league  (https://esporttalk.org/t/28-02-baguette-squad-vs-team-vertex-rocket-league/720)for example??
Or more famous but also rare like Hearhstone or Quake?

I don't advise promoting a site like 1xbit. They definitely provide a ton of markets for a diverse variety of sports, but there is no point since they withhold big withdrawals quite regularly by making stupid excuses. Other sites that you mentioned are legit in my opinion.

You could probably find some lines on those games in books like Pinnacle(Esports available) though you would need to check to be sure.

eSports is gaining huge attraction because it is now a multi billion industry...
but if you are a gambler and wants to explore this game, you should at least be familiar with particular eSport you want to bet on.
it is always better to have knowledge on the teams involved and the game itself, hey, we are not talking pure luck here anymore!
the more you are into this game, the higher chance of winning! thats the good thing in this game.

Also, it isnt really enjoyable if you dont know the games you are betting into.I had tried it out once on a particular game which i dont even have the idea on whats it all about where i do just make some blind bets or
that had just been suggested by someone for me to follow.Although that particular bet do won but still the essence of excitement and thrill isnt there since you dont know on whats happening or you dont really enjoy.
Well a win is a win which matters most but for those people who do like to enjoy while their betting then knowing your game would be the best one.E-sports betting is indeed booming up.

Yes, liquipedia is the best source not just for Dota 2 but for many esports that's being posted there. I've posted it on the first page and other games tournaments can also be followed there.

  • eSports as an industry, its players, teams, leagues, tournaments, online and offline events and so on
  • eSports Betting as a niche of online Gambling and Sports Betting, odds, feeds, bets, slips, affiliates, operators, and so on

We have recognized (of course :) ) the Blockchain part of the business, where the DLT is changing the eSports markets from the games side, but also from the revenue side of the business. Betting on eSports becoming very popular when in wallet betting is taking place.

Thanks for the share up and its quite expected for those numbers knowing that pc games and tournaments are becoming bigger and bigger as years passed.
Due to technology and accessibility which do increase exposure of these games. This one is indeed a big industry and would becomes more known further on.
There are lots of sites or bookies that do offer lines with popular tournaments specially on dota2 csgo lol etc.

Global Esports Revenue Reaches More Than $1 Billion As Audience Figures Exceed 433 Million (https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesayles/2019/12/03/global-esports-revenue-reaches-more-than-1-billion-as-audience-figures-exceed-433-million/#6feab78e1329)
Yes, it's a big thing now.

Before, many don't care about the industry as they share the same sentiment that it's just a simple game and nothing to be interesting about playing it. But now, due to the quick pacing of technology, it has grown a lot.

From tournaments, to bookies, to sponsorships, brand deals and many more deals that brings money to the industry.

Trying to understand whats bigger

  • eSports as an industry, its players, teams, leagues, tournaments, online and offline events and so on
  • eSports Betting as a niche of online Gambling and Sports Betting, odds, feeds, bets, slips, affiliates, operators, and so on

We have recognized (of course :) ) the Blockchain part of the business, where the DLT is changing the eSports markets from the games side, but also from the revenue side of the business. Betting on eSports becoming very popular when in wallet betting is taking place.

The esports community is growing faster than more than we expect, In the Philippines, a certain school is planning to make esports as a college degree. source (https://www.spin.ph/esports/ph-first-esports-college-degree-a2245-20200220) Awesome right?
This can make the esports community greater than as of now and some gambling sites more on booking sites can possibly open a new betting section which is for esports. Esports is evolving fast and games are becoming great, New concept of games and many tournaments are showing up. I am expecting that more esports betting sites will be born soon because of the adaptation of people in the esports community.

IMO Stake Casino (https://stake.com/?c=betsesh) has the best crypto-based eSports platform. Their platform is so much easier to navigate than others out there, and all bets are graded almost immediately unlike other places. Their promos are great too, since you qualify for all the promos they have for their casino but for sports betting as well. I believe they offer 3x wagering qualification on sports bets compared to casino games.

They're fairly new to this space but i've been on there for quite some time and they've always been great about taking care of anything necessary. Especially if you wager higher, the bonuses can be great. Check them out if you haven't yet.

I think that course is an answer to the growing industry to support roles and jobs that are open to sustain the needs of the industry. It is evolving past and what's good with these gaming companies, they are giving back to their players so it's a win win thing for them.

And for the esports bookies, it's convincing that they should include these games. This year and the next years to come is an eye opener that everyone should look into it.

Good point about the players interaction within the game, which is 100% pure Blockchain technology in the usage of the players.
Not to mention that each player's stats, games, win, training and even their diet - is recorded and can be used by sponsors and marketers, to support and invest in these groups.
When placing bets on Bitcoin eSports (https://www.bestbitcoincasino.com/games/esports/), just like any other sports betting, you SHOULD use this information which is of course available and accessible.

It is a good guide for those who wants to try out esports betting and, materials like this is a good start for those want to go deeper about specific games that they'll focus.

It's easier these days because we have the resources that we need whether you'll be in esports or you just want to focus with esports gambling. People who love games can easily adapt the changes and get sources for every match that they'll bet and interact.

Short questions, are these align to eSports as well ?

Money Line - predict 1 of 2 teams in the game to win in this market
Run Line – predict the winning team of the game with the selected runs handicap for your team applied to a 0-0 score line
Over / Under - predict whether the total number of runs scored between both teams is over or under the market line
Odd / Even - predict whether the total number of points scored between both teams will be odd or even (includes overtime)
Team Total Runs – predict whether the selected teams total runs is over or under the market line
Innings Money Line - predict 1 of 2 teams in the game to win in this market on completion of the selected innings
Innings Run Line - predict the winning team of the game with the selected runs handicap for your team applied to a 0-0 score line on completion of the selected innings
Innings Over / Under - predict whether the total number of runs scored between both teams is over or under the market line on completion of the selected innings

Bitcoin eSsports betting is the future and it will be much fun !!!

my two cents :)

That's right seriously I don't like the esports for me it is not as interesting as the real sports from the betting perspective where I could see some switching to the esports these days because of the cancellation of games worldwide but I'm just practising self-control in these days I hope will follow the controlled play once the sports are returned

Does this include Apex Legends? I've been playing the game for a while now and I want to check and see if people are also interested with betting on teams. But unlike Dota2 and CS:GO which has trading systems, apex don't have one, but apex coins code as collaterals would be fine. Since coins can be exchanged to loot boxes.

Most source for the upcoming matches, change of roster and everything with the esports that you want to follow is always updated on liquipedia[1].

[1] https://liquipedia.net/

For Dota 2 fans, Starladder is the next tournament where everyone will tune in this March 5-8.

https://liquipedia.net/dota2/StarLadder_ImbaTV/Minor/Season_3
We all want to bet on our favorite players in Esport so I have no complains but surely event like tournaments are also cancelled.

Esports is really a good thing. In Esports it does not only depend on luck but it depends on person's ability. Esports tournament is also a good project to make people interact with each other and to show and enhanced the skills of each person. This is really a good idea that can encourahe many youth especially these days of enganced community quarantine due to the pandemic caused by the covid 19 disease.
