Title: Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency.
Post by: Eugenar on February 28, 2020, 05:58:03 AM
Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency, which of the two do you think better? There so many differences between those two kinds of currency, but what currency do you prefer more, what currency suits your wants and needs,

First things first, let us define the two currencies. Cryptocurrency is all the money we have online, it is decentralized and global, it can be bitcoin, etheruem, litecoin, XRP, and many others. which is a currency that is volatile, which means it changes its price day by day, there is no static price to all of it, so it is outstanding in investing and trading in cryptocurrency and patience is what you only need here. While Fiat currencies are those physical currencies that you can touch and use to buy in real life, such as Pesos, dollars, etc. those are what we called the central government, which has a fixed price at all.

If it is for daily use of course we would prefer Fiat over crypto,
But for holding or saving up I would prefer crypto over Fiat to take advantage of the high volatility and to gain more.
Even if crypto could be used for payment in any transaction people would prefer to use Fiat currency over crypto because of it's chance to increase it's price due to demand.
Most of us are eager to see it being accepted but doesn't want to use it even if they could because it is an investment tool for most of us.

Fiat for daily use.

While bitcoin or cryptocurrency for investment.

It's the embraced use of cryptocurrency today but we have to spend it in the most possible way to enjoy it. I have used it to shop for many times but our society is not yet ready to go all-in with crypto.

Only because it is the one more readily accepted. If I could earn 100% in crypto and spend 100% in bitcoin,,, for sure I would switch over. People think, no hoard as much as possible but you know what? You spend more and more, use it more and more and it actually becomes more and more valuable!

Fiat is the other way around!

I prefer to use cryptocurrency more than fiat because is faster, safer and with the recent spread of the deadly coronavirus you can be rest assured that the use of fiat currencies has several disadvantages. I can't use cryptocurrencies that much for any transaction because it's barely used in my country but i believe in the near future cryptocurrencies would take over the payment system.

Let's accept that truth, fiat is still needed in our daily lives.

You are lucky to spend it for a cafe while me, most of the time I use it to shop online. I hope that one day we can use it directly with our favorite shopping malls.

Nah, both Crypto Currency and Paper money have their own advantages and disadvantages on one another and both are good to use in their own ways.
In my country, Bitcoin and other forms of crypto are barely used also but the government does not prohibit its citizens to use Crypto Currencies as long as
they know what they are doing. :)

This one, both of them have its own strength and weaknesses.

Currently, we want to save more BTC in our wallets as an investment scheme. But for our daily lives people are still using it specially in third world countries wherein paperless transaction is not yet implemented by their government. So we just need to take the best of both worlds, take advantage of them. As far as the argument saying that banks will disappear because of crypto, I have doubts about that one.

Other people who are really into cryptocurrency also use it for their daily use. And yes, most of them uses crypto for saving and holding. There are countries that uses cryptocurrency to buy goods and services. Since, there are also country that don't use crypto as a payment, they are oblige to convert their crypto to fiat money. Both crypto and fiat have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency, which of the two do you think better? There so many differences between those two kinds of currency, but what currency do you prefer more, what currency suits your wants and needs,

I have used both crypto and fiat system to pay my monthly bills, i.e. internet, water consumption, electricity and phone, of course it's not a direct p2p because there is still a middle man in-between. As far as preference, doesn't matter, as long as I can used them as tools for my every day life.

You said investing and trading, then you can kept some cryptos in your wallet and just convert it to fiat if needed. There are Bitcoin maximalist though that would rather put everything in BTC. Nothing wrong with that, as I have said both of them can be a tool to make your life easier. So there should be no "versus" or against, it all depends on the person itself.

I am sure in the future there will be many stores that provide payment via crypto so that it will be easier for us to shop there.
Indeed, Fiat is used for a day in my area to do important things because if it is with crypto money, some people will not know it so the application is still not done.
Cryptocurrency is used by many people today for long-term investments and also trading in the short term on the stock exchange to reap huge profits.

I'd say that you just don't fully understand the difference between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. The Venezuelan Bolivar has more volatility than many cryptocurrencies for instance, so the fiat currency is not necessarily stable. And over time, cryptocurrencies with the growth of decentralization will also be less volatile. The key difference is that decentralized cryptocurrencies allow you to control your money completely, and in the case of fiat currencies, you depend on banks and issuers.

For now, I use fiat for buying anything in real life and use crypto as the investment, although if I can make a profit in crypto trading, I will withdraw the coin to my fiat so that it can give me more money. In many countries, fiat still needed and fiat still used for buying our daily life, but we also know about digital payment from another third party, and that looks like digital money.

I don't use crypto to buy anything because here, I cannot find a local store that accepts crypto for the payment, so that is why I still use fiat to buy something or buy my daily needs.

Same with you, every day I use fiat especially if I going to buy some stuff in the store and even I have bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies still no one them will accept because they don't even know it. As of today, it's still rare to see a store that accepts cryptocurrency and but when it comes to big establishment some of them already accepted it. Then, sometimes if I need to buy game credits I use my bitcoin to buy it in online and I also use our fiat to buy it.

Don't always spend your cryptocurrency on buying some stuff and it's better to use our fiat currency unlike if you going to use bitcoin which you just wasting your opportunity to earn profit and we all know most of the cryptocurrency has big chances to become more valuable in the future that's why it's better to stick using fiat in different transactions.

It is like choosing whether pulling off your wallet to get some money or pulling out your phone cause you have something to scan and pay. Although I'm a huge fan of crypto, I would still choose the fiat since it is the one that we are using now and the complexity of using the crypto is not yet settled, there are still bugs and errors to be fixed. We are on the process of transitioning, sooner or later we'll be having it.

Depend on the usage.

If you will consider daily use and the number of people using and accepting it, I will choose fiat right now because it is the currency that is being used worldwide. Only a few people around the world are using cryptocurrency right now as a way of payment and most of them are either merchants of business owners.

Now in terms of investments and profits, cryptocurrency is more profitable than fiat (forex trading). We know what is the capability of crypto when it comes to profit and vice versa. It is the best performing currency within the past decade. Its volatility nature gives huge profits for the investor but at the same time, huge losses for newbies and some investors.

Fiat? Fuck it. Fiat isn't stable at all. Just because 1 USD you have today will be worth 1 USD tomorrow too doesn't mean it's stable. In fact, you can see how we lose purchasing power the more time passes.

If BTC would have been used as the national currency, you would've considered it as "stable" too. But you probably don't take into account the diversity of fiat currencies and the ratios between them changing on a daily basis.

Cryptocurrencies are decentralized, anti-inflationary.. all great & fun until we get into the intimacy subject. That's when things go dark. It's probably going to be a fun game for max 5 more years and then freedom will be just an idea, just a definition. I'll bookmark this reply with the hope of finding it again +5 years later to see if my words came true or not. :)

Paper money is better in terms of privacy/anonymity although it's not very transparent at all. There's no need for a public record of where I received my banknotes from and where I spend them. I can hand you $10k in paper and nobody would have to know where that came from. However, it's centralized so just fuck it. That's where fiat will never beat Bitcoin. You always know that your 1 satoshi is real, is only yours and will never be replicated by anyone ever.

But I am just surprised for those telling that fiat for daily used?
Why not also cryptocurrency? Because of transaction fees? Well, it is. But there is lightning network already and other cryprocurrency with almost 0 transaction fees.

Fiat currency

Because it is legal (for our daily use, any time and anywhere) in every countries and they are highly stable and controlled. Which is unlikely to bitcoin or any type of cryptocurrency. It is still not legal in every country and there are so many people who are against it.

so it is outstanding in investing and trading in cryptocurrency and patience is what you only need here.

I don't agree with this line.

Patience is needed as an investor but I don't think that is what you only need in this market. We all know that scams and hacking are not that uncommon in this market so you really need to be knowledgeable too. Knowledge can help you from investing, from trading, hacking and scams. Another thing is balance since losing is inevitable, you should have enough balance to lose here.

While Fiat currencies are those physical currencies that you can touch and use to buy in real life, such as Pesos, dollars, etc. those are what we called the central government, which has a fixed price at all.

Bitcoin is better. I won't delve into altcoins, as you would need to carefully examine each of them, but most of them have major flaws. "Volatility" means freedom, it is the price people are willing to pay for something in the market, and the current representation of the global sentiment of buy vs sale.

Those that want it vs those that don't want it for whatever reason. No committee, government, politician, banker, foundation, conglomerate, company, etc; complete freedom. That is what a price freely fluctuating in the market means.

The rules of Bitcoin are established in its code, open for everyone to see. Those that agree with those rules, mine it and rune nodes, and they cannot be easily changes without the approval of the vast majority of those running them, true democracy.

Your government, or the foundation that "controls" your altcoin, can decide to alter the rules overnight. You don't want this, but cannot stop it. You think they would never do it as it hurts themselves, but you would be surprised what a few people with power can do. Any FIAT can enter hyperinflation, and it is but one executive order away from doing so. Imagine any excuse: A coup, a failed crop, military invasion, for those darn politicians to pull the trigger.

People want Bitcoin because its useful to them. They studied it and know its characteristics, and so did with the others and fiat. Those who are not convinced them sell them and those who are buy them, except traders who constantly buy and sell for profit without any special attachment.

But in the end the market represents the entire world sentiment. Sure some people may have more than others, and skew things a little, but in the grand show the free market is a peaceful and democratic resolution of conflict. Your vote is your wallet isn't just a saying, its a fact. When you buy you show support, and when you sell you show disapproval; no middlemen.

There is nothing fixed about fiat, if anything, it has guaranteed inflation, in varying degrees. It has both infinite production and infinite manipulation by very few people in control, its garbage.

Fiat for daily use and bitcoin for daily transaction and updates.

When it comes to being practical, it is more reliable to use fiat in many transactions like buying goods or everything you want. But the way for you to increase your profit is through cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is like a business that you need to manage, monitor, and make a strategy where you can make it grow. Investment is also a factor why it is like a business, you should take a huge risk but the profit is surely high and can make your life change. That's why mass adoption is still developing that's because many people are continuously knowing the benefits of crypto.

In my opinion, it's not really necessary to compare or compete with the two currencies. Why? They have different principles. They are definitely two different things.

We need Fiat currency to make sure that we will be having a nearly stable currency for liquidation. Cryptocurrency is the one who will help us to enjoy the volatility of the market. There will be a time where Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will not be decentralized anymore (but I don't know when). The governments around the world are already taking actions regarding the liquidation process of cryptocurrencies and are trying to avoid crimes such as money laundering and other cybercrimes keep growing. But for me, Bitcoin and other crypto are good for having a good asset.

Settling with cryptocurrency is not a good idea. At least for now.

Before anything else, the definitions you've provided are somehow limited. First, cryptocurrency does not necessarily mean it has a volatile value. There are several stable cryptocurrencies, commonly called stablecoins. Libra, the controversial crypto project by Facebook in partnership with the huge names in the business sector, is also planned to be a stable crypto. Second, fiat currency is not just the hard physical currencies of old anymore. Fiat has already transformed into cashless with the use of cards and other online payments.

Anyway, in my actual circumstances, I cannot just easily choose between the two. A few online transactions are the only way for me to use crypto as a currency. Outside of it, it still has to be purely fiat whether in cold cash or card. We are still far from transforming into a digital society. Cash is still needed in my day to day transactions.

Cryptocurrencies are not currencies. They aren't accepted by the law of any country as currencies(being a legal tender).Bitcoin can't be considered a real currency due to it's big price volatility.Cryptocurrencies are digital financial assets.
Fiat currencies are worse than crypto coins, because their value is constantly going down(inflation),but according to the Gresham law "bad money dominate over good money".The cheap money will always dominate
as a way to pay for goods and services, because there's no expectation that their value will go up really fast.

Well cryptocurrency is more convenient to use in transactions and investment business because with significant benefits it can happen but in the security of these funds there is no one waiting for an answer so most use Fiat to conduct daily transactions and their needs in their area if using cryptocurrency then it will not be able to because one region still does not use crypto in a day in his area.

So crypto is used for long-term and unlimited investment.

Cryptocurrency is all the money we have online,

Really? Don't you use net banking or debit card? Won't you say it is possible to use fiat currency online too?

it is decentralized and global, it can be bitcoin, etheruem, litecoin, XRP, and many others.

So is fiat currency. I can easily make payment to any person in US in US$. It is very easy to use fiat currencies globally.

which is a currency that is volatile, which means it changes its price day by day, there is no static price to all of it, so it is outstanding in investing and trading in cryptocurrency and patience is what you only need here.

Fiat currencies are also volatile, not as much as cryptocurrencies but volatile. When calculating volatility of cryptocurrency, you take some fiat currency as base for example calculating volatility of Bitcoin in terms of US$. Similarly, fiat currencies also change their value in relation to other fiat currencies. Euro may worth $0.90 one day which may change to $0.88 the other day. In fact forex market is much more bigger than crypto market.

While Fiat currencies are those physical currencies that you can touch and use to buy in real life, such as Pesos, dollars, etc. those are what we called the central government, which has a fixed price at all.

Again, it is not necessary that whole supply of fiat currency should be in physical form. I rarely use fiat currency as hard cash. Most of my expenditures take place via debit/credit cards or net banking.
Also it is wrong to assume they have fixed price. In fact, 'fixed price' is wrong term for money. You should use the word 'value'. Also, value of fiat currency in not fixed too. 1 kg wheat may worth $0.50 today which may rise to $0.70 tomorrow. It signifies that value of fiat currency changes.

This is the direction fiat currencies will be going - to remove cash transactions, what will makes all transactions traceable and as such supposedly excluding any posibility of using fiat for money laundering or crimes. In countries like Sweden you already have almost cashless economy.

Yeah! Cashless economy acts as a big blanket which covers all citizens of the country and one can easily trace the source and destination of every transaction. Sweden is perfect example of this. But not every person prefers such system. When living in an independent democratic country, people want liberty and privacy in using money. They have argument that such system will only target citizens while leaders and politicians can easily do corruption. So even citizens should have anonymity and autonomy in doing transactions. Bitcoin was born as a product of this thinking. Now things have gone way ahead and projects like 'Digital Gold' providing anonymity in holding assets like gold which was almost impossible to even think of 10 years ago.

I like to use cryptocurrency over fiat currency but in reality, we tend to use Fiat currency for daily activities because of the lack of merchants that accept cryptocurrency.

Among those cryptocurrencies, I would avoid Bitcoin for transaction because it takes a lot of time to wait for the confirmation, I love Bitcoin but it frustrates me to wait several minutes for my payment to be confirmed, and I am forced to use XRP if there is an option to pay with it because of its fast confirmation time.  I hope Bitcoin confirmation time can compete with XRP in the near future.

I like the idea of cryptocurrency, and I like having some of it. If there were truly an option to pay for stuff with Bitcoin and not overpay with the fees or anything, I would prefer Bitcoin over fiat. For now, however, Bitcoin is way behind fiat in terms of adoption, it has scalability and recognition issues. For example, I am going to need to apply for a visa in a few months, and I'll need to prove that I have some money to live abroad. For that, I need a bank statement. I have enough money in Bitcoin, but for it to count I have to sell it for fiat, I cannot provide a signed message to the Embassy. Such things are serious obstacles for me.

Both

Both are different , very different at the same time one should understand that , Cryptocurrencies are not trying to replace Fiat or something like that.

Fiat cannot be replaced and it is stable , non volatile but one cannot earn using a Fiat , not that much , one needs huge amount of investment and good marketing strategy.

But with cryptocurrencies , you can start with as little as 10$ .

Both are different , depends what you are using it for.

I think right now there is no comparison b/w the two. Fiat is well established and we use to live our daily life on fiat.
Crypto is fairly a new concept and it will take quite a while before we can give a verdict that whether its a match to fiat or not. The only way it's used is to store value not as a payment system.

It's a sad reality bro, I am amazed at how bitcoin works but the adaptation is enough to use it on our daily lifestyle. Bitcoin really helps us on our online transaction but it differs on real-life depending on how active or how many merchants in your country are accepting bitcoin. I don't want to be a hypocrite about using bitcoin but I really can't use it on the physical transaction because of lack of stores that are accepting it, I only used bitcoin on a physical transaction for a record of two times on the same merchant, It's really hard to find merchant who is accepting bitcoin but it is more likely easier to find online especially that it is hassle-free and transparent.

Both currency has differences and i think boths are important. Right now crypto currency not use as a fiat money (if we are not talk about some place because there are some places where btc use as a fiat money). So for buying some thing or using in your daily life we depend on fiat money like dollars.

At this moment people use fiat money to full fill their demands and use crypto currency for invest and savings their asset. But those days not so far when people use crypto currency as a fiat money. Because decentralized financial system is the key to the future.

The never-ending debate on who's superior and who is not. I guess there will never be an end for such a comparison between the two since one can always be better than the other in different aspects. For instance, fiat can be accepted anywhere in the world whereas bitcoin is only accepted by a select few. Bitcoin can be sent across borders without having to painstakingly fill out some forms while fiat cannot. You see, depending on the situation, any one of those currency can be better than the other so it's pointless debating this over and over again.

Obviously I will side with bitcoin or crypto currency here. The problem though is that it is not that accepted in the country that I am living in so I still need an exchange to use it for payment or if I will be paying bills. For sure, people would pick crypto currency since this is a community or a forum for that but still, we don't have a choice but to still use fiats.

I am sure that most of the members of this forum will choose cryptocurrency, because in my opinion the reality is cryptocurrency is much more
better than fiat currency. I choose cryptocurrency because it can make money from cyptocurrency, by way of trading. Another advantage
cryptocurrency compared to fiat currency is a safer transaction because all transactions are carried out digitally. In my opinion it should be the
government legalized cryptocurrency to be an alternative payment. But as we know the government in some countries still prohibits use of
cryptocurrency as a payment. For reasons that cannot be controlled and the price is volatile.

I like both, it is very difficult to determine which is better because for me both have their respective functions and advantages. For economic activities in the real world I always use fiat, it is more effective because the adoption of cryptocurrency for payment of daily needs where I have not been seen, after all, making payments for micropayments is more effective with fiat. Whereas I make cryptocurrency as an alternative job to get money, from trading and bounty.

Fiat for daily use.

While bitcoin or cryptocurrency for investment.

It's the embraced use of cryptocurrency today but we have to spend it in the most possible way to enjoy it. I have used it to shop for many times but our society is not yet ready to go all-in with crypto.
Indeed, all that you have said is all true, and there is a big difference between the two kinds of currency, fiat as for daily use and cryptocurrency as for investment as what you have said, it is better to invest the cryptocurrency than fiat because cryptocurrency, as we all know, is volatile which means it changes its price day by day and that is why it becomes useful for investment, investment in cryptocurrency is more convenient compared to fiat currency when it comes for differentiating between the online thing to the manual stuff, it is always convenient in online, such as, gambling, lending, trading, as well as the investments. The idea in the real world is, it has so many processes before you accomplish all the things.

You are in the forum of cryptocurrency and especially it is a Bitcoin forum. Expect to get more answers and favor on cryptocurrency and for sure it will be biased.
But I am just surprised for those telling that fiat for daily used?
Why not also cryptocurrency? Because of transaction fees? Well, it is. But there is lightning network already and other cryprocurrency with almost 0 transaction fees.
Well said, Even we are in the section of bitcoin discussion, it won't still be biased because we all have that two kinds of currency, so basically are using that two kinds of money so we can compare both things, anyways those two are a good one, with their purposes.

Those comments about fiat are really accurate that it is for daily use because we can use anywhere and anytime, unlike the cryptocurrency. Because there are still some countries that don't accept the bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies in their land so by that, they can say that fiat is more usable for daily, where we can use for our everyday life. Still, cryptocurrency is also useful, especially for investments because it is volatile.

They are both different from each other and excel on both of their fields,
So it would depend on what we need and what would we do,
You've already given out the information of each currency so you should also know that it would be hard to know whih one is better.

Cryptocurrency might be slightly better than fiat but there was several disadvantages from using it and one of them is volatile and i think from this factor too many countries didn't dare to admit cryptocurrency as the currency because maybe they thought the currency should be stable and if the value of the particular currencies not stable or full of volatile then it can makes inflation and that is not good for economy country

Yes, and that's the reason why we don't need to choose between the two currencies, because we could both use them in a daily basis. The very volatile nature of Bitcoin is essential for us investors and the traders, while fiat can be the primary option for payment.
Fiat currency wont be phased out and be replace with Bitcoin. Both will co-exist.

It is still premature to raise the question of choice: cryptocurrency or fiat. Cryptocurrency in my country is not yet so widespread that it can be freely used and that it could completely replace the traditional state money with it, even if I wanted to. At this stage, you need to use both cryptocurrency and fiat. And in the future, it is unlikely that we can fully switch to using only cryptocurrency. It seems to me that vseravno periodically there will be various situations when we can not do without the usual currency. It is best to use different types of currencies, because each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages.

But point is that people dont understand this statement well. Both methods of payment have their pros and cons, issues in usability and the concept of inflation/deflation. But they fail to adjust to what is necessary to use at a certain point of time. You will be more comfortable to pay the local grocery with fiat if they have never allowed crypto at all. But for playing in an online bitcoin casino you will not use fiat.

My local currency is in inflation for which crypto has allowed me to support my family.

Although this is optimistic, you have to understand the full picture. All those projects ended up failing and falling hard. None of them have been able to come out of debt or develop their MVP to something worth a public use.

Big difference between fiat and crypto currency. Fiat is our daily use we can use it anytime we want but crypto currency is we need first to convert it in fiat currency. Fiat we buy anything we want any store accept fiat but in crypto currency some only accept it and all store accepting crypto currency.

Undoubtedly, the use of Fiat today is welcomed primarily because of their convenience, and also because people do not understand the cryptocurrency and before using cryptocurrency, you need to have at least a little knowledge of How to use it and keep your cryptocurrency funds safe  .  But the difference between Fiat and cryptocurrencies does not end there, because in my opinion the strong advantage of cryptocurrency over Fiat is its limited amount, which will not allow inflation to burn your home budget, as it happens with fiat money.

Both the cryptocurrency and fiat currency is good. We use fiat currency in our daily life to buy our daily life while we use cryptocurrency for the investment. But in some countries, people can use cryptocurrency to buy something, so I think that will depend on what we want because both can be a payment system to buy something.

Yes, both the cryptocurrency and fiat currency have advantages and disadvantages. But people still use fiat than crypto so perhaps, people in out there still think that fiat is better than crypto.

arent you aware that other countries are now paying thier salaries using cryptos like btc ?  especially if the company that your working is related to crypto also but its also a good idea to ask if what your employees prefered for payment because there are peeps that prefer usd or local fiat conversion between cryptos because they dont want thier salary to go down by the time of payday   .

technologically clear crypto will be easier because without limitation of the country with all the rules, if fiat is more real and only real to be used, but indeed it is used more often than crypto.
for long-term and medium-term investment, crypto is superior and highly desirable because the benefits are also quite good, if not lazy to analyze deeply. but fiat is only stored in banks and with interest determined by the state and is not large.
In times of progress like this, crypto is still superior to the ease it receives, but unfortunately there are still some crypto countries that are still constrained by rules.

This have been discussed before and the bottomline to which one is better depends on the mindset of an individual. If a person is into investment, ofcourse it would be in favor with cryptocurrency, as well if it is convenience with regards to faster transactions. But if a person is into just storing his money, without having risk, fiat would be a better currency and also, it has advantages for being widely used in different countries unlike in cryptos wherein it is not yet legal to some countries. This simply states that both crypto and fiat has their own advantages at the moment.
I prefer crypto for many reasons, but I have to use fiat money for everyday purchaces because it's widely accepted.
We may say that cryptocurrencies are about financial freedom and privacy, but we can't make our employers pay salaries in Bitcoins, for example. So fiat wins if we look in this way.
This is yet the problem nowadays. Cryptos are already recognized to some countries wherein it is widely being used but there are still countries wherein it is not. At this moment, fiat is more advantageous due to the issues that it is facing. But who knows what could happen in the future once changes occured.

I prefer more the Fiat currency than cryptocurrency because it is for our daily use, and it is more convenient to use. The excellent thing in Fiat currency is the safeness, unlike to the cryptocurrency where there are so many hackers and spammers, and they will easily hack your account if they will know your information or if your account is not secured, and if they hacked your account there is low chance for you to recover your account, unlike to the fiat currency where it is so easy for you to detect the person who steals your money or properties. Still, somehow cryptocurrency is also useful, especially in terms of investments.

Indeed, we all prefer the fiat currency if we talk about for daily use, while we prefer cryptocurrency when we talk about investments because the investment of cryptocurrency is really profitable because the price of every cryptocurrency always changes its price day by day. Those two currencies are all good, depends on the situation and purposes.

Definitely, both of it are useful on their own different way. We all know that cryptocurrency is a digital money that we used to make transaction online. There are lots of use of cryptocurrency because we can lend our money into crypto investment which is really a good decision if you know how to do and you are well informed being involved to it.
After learning about cryptocurrencies I have realized that I need them both equally. My local currency is in inflation for which crypto has allowed me to support my family.

Indeed, fiat is still a need to those countries who dont really recognize cryptocurrency as a good digital currency. Every country have their own reason why they are regulating it. I think someday, that countries who dont recognize cryptocurrency will adopt in the future. If we still support the upcoming projects that makes crypto famous and very useful.

Do you even know what you are saying? How come Fiat money work as a crypto currency? I think you need to learn more about crypto currencies. You knowledge on crypto currency and blockchain seems to be really low. If you use fiat currency, the accountability factor becomes really low, where as if you use crypto currencies, you will be accountable for all your transactions. Fiat transactions made can be altered, which you can't if you are using the blockchain technology. Lets not forget about the easiness of cross-border transactions!

They are all good. I don’t make use of cryptocurrency regularly, I just fund my cryptocurrency wallet and leave the money there and nothing else. Most of the times the money stays there until when I decide to sell the cryptocurrencies and withdraw the money to fiat. So, mainly what I use is fiat. You should know that fiat is not only available in physical form but is also available in digital form; there are now lots of ways that you can make use of and spend your fiat without having it physically – there is PayPal and there is Payoneer and other similar payment systems.

Apart from those the banks are also offering mobile banking apps and internet banking which allows customers to do most things without having to go to the bank. Cryptocurrency is good in its own way, they are all good.

I still prefer Fiat currency. Aside from being legal and widely accepted, I feel secure using it more than cryptocurrency. I think fiat is still the best because even fiat is not easily replaced by other currencies such as cryptocurrency, so at least there is something weakness and strength that has between fiat and crypto. Indeed, crypto can be used as a tool for payment or many other transactions, but due to its unstable value and other factors it is a weakness that is difficult for them to accept crypto as a currency, because some of them view crypto as an investment asset and are not like fiat.

I think, cryptocurrency replaces fiat is difficult, there are many factors that must be strengthened first, including human resources, given that the transaction process with cryptocurrency is quite complicated. In addition, if for small scale payments, fiat is certainly very effective, for example to buy coffee, pizza, etc. whereas cryptocurrency is more suitable to be used as a trading and investment asset, because of its volatile price, as you mentioned. Well, this depends on everyone's perspective, but for me fiat and cryptocurrency it will be more effective if it is used, not replacing each other, but complementing each other, right?

Do you know that digitalization does not only occur in technology related to electronic products? at this time also spread currency in digital form that can be used like paper currencies that we often use to transact. Like paper currency (fiat money) of rupiah (Rp), dollar ($), euro (€), yen (¥) and won (₩) cryptocurrency (cryptocurrency) also has various types. This will probably be a fun game for max 5 more years and then freedom will only be an idea, just a definition. Cryptocurrency is much better. This helps its users make transactions faster, easier and more efficiently. You can carry out transactions anywhere using a lower fee. Most of us want to see it accepted but don't want to use it even if they can because it is an investment tool for most of us.

I was in Japan last month and I used cashless payments at 7/11 and other convenience stores. It's pretty much like crypto where you show QR code at the register and they scan it.
If stores started accepting crypto for payments like this, I think I would use crypto. No need to worry about getting change or finding the right bills in your wallet. Just pull up your QR code before you walk up to the register and scan.

I'm hoping one day this will be possible.

Next, we have now the one of the fastest-growing transaction, and this is with the use of cryptocurrency many people today would like to know about it, and this is a currency converted from the fiat into digital because we can earn profit on it like investment, trading/exchange and gambling too those are the thing we can obtain the same with the fiat currency the difference is the exchange and transaction because cryptocurrency is one of the fastest and secured transaction today. Still, if we choose those between currency, I think it is better if you have those currencies because it is related to the stock market that can earn more profit, but it takes a lot of time before it happens and gives us a considerable market profit.

Of course fiat for our daily use, and crypto for investment short or long term investment.
We cannot use crypto for our daily uses because not all store accept btc as mode of payment.

Yeah, we still use fiat in our daily life, and although we have another option to buy with crypto, I think that will only happen with the country that accepted crypto as the payment. We can save the crypto as the investment, and we can be happy if someday, our investment will give us more money so we can send it to our bank account. I imagine that cryptocurrency and fiat currency will work together in all countries so we can choose to make a transaction using crypto or fiat.

I would say Fiat is still the best currency when it comes to our daily life.
And it would always be that way even if crypto would be accepted by the government unless we would use the stable and centralized currency like USDT.

Well said, you have your point, when in terms of disaster, cryptocurrency will be better because you won't need to go outside to make a transactions, not like the fiat currency, you are required to go outside to accomplish what you want, especially when virus like corona virus happens on your country, cryptocurrency will be better than fiat because all the transactions that you should need to accomplish everything is through online.

But I doubt that cryptocurrencies would not take over the payment system that we have now in our country because it will be hard for them to do that thing because there are still some individuals who dont know much things about internet or the transactions in the internet, especially those person in rural places.

I think both have a special place in our society and not have co existed with each other. For paying monthly bills and food you need Fiat but for saving and earning high returns you need cryptocurrency. Without using both you cannot survive in this era of globalisation and digital age.

Yeah, I agree and that is true.

We can't really live right now with just Bitcoin with us. I know that there are some challenges that some people do with just using Bitcoin but this usually depends on the country that we are living in. Another thing is that people choose profit over using BTC as payment. Fiat and cryptocurrencies should stay side by side, we can't just pick one.

It depends on your needs. I cannot tell you which one is the best. There are somethings like products and services that I buy conveniently with cryptocurrencies which might be difficult and involve many steps if I want to access the same services with fiat currencies. Also, there are things that I can get easily with fiat which I cannot also use crypto for. So it all depends on what you need it for. A few days ago, I did a wire transfer from Africa to Europe using crypto and the charges were lesser than using fiat through bank.

Actually, I was fan of cryptocurrencies over Fiat because I am the type of person who usually spend my money online yet in term of convenience it is really suite my taste. However, the problem is that the place where I belong does not have that much establishment who accept crypto as a payment so I had no choice but to convert this on Fiat before to spend them. But once it is fully accepted in our society then I will probably always use it.

Fiat is still my choice to use for daily transactions and for daily needs. Not all people here in my country knows about bitcoin and use it for everyday transaction that is why, even if we have bitcoins in our mobile wallets and when the time comes where we need to use these bitcoins, some people still convert it to fiat currency in order to use it for transactions. The only transactions available and accepts bitcoin here in my country are buying load credits, paying bills, used for online shopping to some selected stores, and not for daily use.

Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency, which of the two do you think better?
If that's what is asked, both are better, in this case there are only differences.

Cryptocurrency: it can be said of a technology, a technology that basically uses cryptography, the strength of crypto, and its exchange value is always associated with buying and selling by the owner.

Fiat money: exchange rates are based on regulations called state law. Fiat money is based on goods.

In this case it can be concluded that, both crypto and fiat money are interrelated with each other, cryptocurrency in exchange value will be fiat money to spend, so in this case fiat money is better because crypto is measured based on fiat money in every country in general.

I agree. Fiat and cryptocurrency are interconnected, if both are utilized by taking the positive side of each one, it will provide greater benefits than choosing just one of them. Cryptocurrency is better because of its technology, but there is a less effective side in terms of the effectiveness of instant payments and regulations in each country. For me, cryptocurrency offers many opportunities to be able to get extra income, from trading, bounty, minning, staking, etc. And the execution to be used actually is exchanged in advance with fiat.

Crypto - Decentralized and anonymity
Fiat- Heavily Centralized

Talking about differences? Not comparable yet we know in the end of the day, people would still end up on using fiat and
come to think on where crypto do get their value? Fiat right?

Just like what you said we all like cryptocurrency since it could give us a profit when you are investing in it but you still cannot use it most of the time since it is not yet accepted or trusted by a lot of people or even by the government. It is already a thing to use fiat money because there is circulation on your central bank and we still need to when we are buying things in our country, not all people or stores is going to accept bitcoin so if you wanted to use your bitcoin the first thing you need to do is to convert your bitcoin to fiat money.

Still, bitcoin and fiat money have their advantage and disadvantage but in conclusion, both of the currency is still important to us and has its own use.

Well said, there are still some countries that do not accept the bitcoin on their land because for some reasons, so for those countries that do not accept bitcoin they will oblige to use fiat currency in their daily life, so when they have cryptocurrency or money online they should convert it first to fiat before they use it on purchasing their needs and wants. Well, actually choosing between cryptocurrency and fiat currency will depend on their country and of course to themselves as well, and as we all know fiat currency is most used as of now because it is convenient, in a way that we can use it anywhere and anytime we want. All stores in real life only accepts the fiat currency and not cryptocurrency.

Fiat for daily use.

While bitcoin or cryptocurrency for investment.

It's the embraced use of cryptocurrency today but we have to spend it in the most possible way to enjoy it. I have used it to shop for many times but our society is not yet ready to go all-in with crypto.

I am still hoping that way mate. It will be an easy transaction if our country will provide separate transactions in every store. What I mean is there are still some transactions through the use of fiat. There is also transaction through the use of cryptocurrency, both currency in a single store, because even we all want cryptocurrency to have in store, it cannot still replace the fiat currency because not all people have it, not all people known by cryptocurrency especially those late boomers. The thing is we can have our cryptocurrency in our land, but it cannot replace the fiat currency because the government won't let it happen, and there will be a big adjustment if this thing will happen.

I think even if bitcoin becomes prominent in the future, I don't think that it can replace our fiat currency.

So the bitcoin or other cryptocurrency is only our alternative money, it is from online where we can exchange through our fiat currency which is really good because it has so significant amount compared to the fiat currency and is really good in investing because for sure if you have an excellent skills on it, you will earn a lot of money.

It is not necessary to contrast cryptocurrency and the usual currency of states too much. Please note that fiat will not disappear anywhere. Now there is a decrease in the value of paper money and their partial displacement by their non-cash forms. However, the money of states will always exist and cryptocurrency is better not to conflict with them, otherwise it will lose this confrontation. We need to use those types of means of payment that will be convenient in each specific situation. In some cases, it is better to use fiat, and in others - the usual currency.

I see cryptocurrency more as an asset and not even a currency and I have never used it as a currency, for example – buying things online. I prefer to make use of cryptocurrency as a savings or investment and I invest a little part of my money in it, the rest stays in my bank account. Another thing you forgot to say is that fiat can also be used online – platforms like PayPal, online banking, Google pay, mobile banking, etc., are all under the fiat system.

So, fiat can as well be used as an online payment. Even your debit card can even be used as a means to make payment on online shopping sites.

In my opinion there are some people who must prefer to use cryptocurrencies and just trading it or exchanging it into fiat currency in order for them to use it on their daily lives and also some people must prefer the fiat currency who has a stable value and just an exact value on what you are spending.

Speaking of coronavirus or other viruses that our world may encounter, cryptocurrency would also be better because you don't need to go outside anymore when you are going to pay bills and other transactions that you may have. There are a lot of workers that may be affected when coronavirus happened, there are a lot of people whos afraid of going outside to work on a company because of the virus.

Both of these currencies need each other. We need fiat whenever we want to purchase bitcoin and we also spend fiat every day. Not every physical shops accepts crypto as payment.
Binance which is also a big exchange has fiat deposit and withdrawal in it.
TBH, most people hold crypto just to make profit, they don't really use it as payment. They would rather use credit card.

Personally, I prefer cryptocurrency over Fiat because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant design. No one can confiscate your assets, freeze your account, or even take ownership/control of your account. You are the sole owner of your funds where can spend or hoard it at will. While price volatility is an issue, crypto is a great medium of exchange when used directly from one person to another. Remember, 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin no matter what. Prices only reflect how much a coin is worth in terms of Fiat. If everyone relied on crypto entirely instead of cashing out to their national currency, prices wouldn't be much of an issue for daily payments.

When you compare crypto against Fiat, you'll notice that it's much faster and cheaper to send across borders. Money transmitting services like Western Union and MoneyGram charge high fees in Fiat for sending money across the globe. It takes a couple of days before the money is received by the recipient (and cleared by the Bank). The same happens with Bank-to-Bank transfers in the mainstream world. Even though Bitcoin had high fees and slow transaction confirmation times back in 2017, it was still faster and cheaper to use than traditional payment processors. Now, with scalability improvements being worked on by Blockchain developers, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can become even faster and cheaper to use than Fiat.

Despite crypto's benefits over Fiat, it has a big drawback that limits its usage and adoption worldwide. And that is the lack of merchant acceptance. The reason for this is the price volatility of crypto versus Fiat. Merchants do not want to deal with something that's unstable in price as it could lead to many undesired losses. Because of this, Fiat has been the norm of everyday commerce and will always be until crypto manages to have a stable price across the market. Mainstream businesses and stores have greater chances of profiting with Fiat than doing so with crypto directly. Rest assured that both types of currencies (crypto and Fiat) won't be able to replace each other. That's because Fiat is backed by the government, whereas crypto is not. This makes them completely different from one another. Each person will use either crypto or Fiat depending on his/her preferences or needs.

In the end, both crypto and Fiat will survive as different types of "money" for mainstream use. Each have their respective advantages and disadvantages. To be honest with you, neither one is better since each has their flaws and respective use cases for the mainstream world. If you prefer complete control of your money at the cost of price volatility, then crypto is ideal for you. Otherwise, you're better off with Fiat if you're looking for a stable currency that's backed and supported by thousands of merchants around the world. Just my thoughts ;D

And we will see everyone who will upgrade their daily living because they held bitcoin in the past. That's the reason why we all like it and believes in it.
You are optimistic about the future of bitcoin holders. It's good but also consider other methods too.

We like bitcoin because we use it. But we should also know where fiat is applicable and where bitcoin can be used. It does not mean one is better than th other but it is important to differentiate between usage.

You would use fiat for daily necessities and keep bitcoin as a method of investment like a commodity.

Fiat is the one acknowledged by majority. Even if you have gold, you'll convert it into fiat because fiat is the primary currency used all over the world. Crypto can be converted into fiat also or you can use it to invest.

At the moment, I can not allocate either cryptocurrencies or fiat money, because they are equally useful in their field of activity. As they say, for a crypt you will not buy products in the store. Although I still think that in 5-10 years, cryptocurrencies will largely replace fiat money.

Both are important and have a different use for me. Cryyptocurrency and Fiat shouldn't be compared to each other on which is better considering that, the one is for online and the one is for real-life transactions. Both are helping us to make our life easier so we should appreciate and use these two to maximize their purpose.

Here are example on how I use cryptocurrency and Fiat:

Cryptocurrency:
  • I use bitcoin for online transaction, or XRP for instant
  • For investment
  • For trading
  • I am using it as a mode of payment through online stores

Fiat:
  • For micro-transactions
  • Investing also
  • Real-lfe transactions
  • For daily use

Well said mate, I've realized that both cryptocurrency and fiat currency are different thing, they have different purposes so they shouldn't be compared, fiat currency is for real life purposes and for daily use like purchasing anything you want while cryptocurrencty is for online transactions like purchasing movies, software, pay bills, etc.

Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency, which of the two do you think better?

You would have to be an UTTER FOOL to trust either Fiat or BitCoin in this Economic Crisis....  BitCoin's price crash in its first ECONOMIC CRISIS should have you all very, very worried.

For me, the two different currencies are both better, because the fiat currencies can easily use when we but some stuffs in stores and all people whether if it is rich or poor are have also a fiat currencies, while the crypto currency is for only online transactions like in gambling, trading and etc., and it only have for people who has a knowledge about crypto currency. Both currencies has likes and dislike base on the situation.

They are both good and you already said it that they have their own differences. I haven’t used Bitcoin to make any purchase before , it has always been fiat that I’m using anytime I want to make purchase; when I’m buying things online I make payments using PayPal or I just pay with my card.

As for Bitcoin the only thing I have been doing with it is just transaction and it has been between me and people that are making use of it, which there isn’t much people that I know that are making use of it. And another thing is that you can’t leave your money in a cryptocurrency wallet if you’re afraid of losing it, though the price can go up as well.

HOW UTTERLY STUPID...  One of the dumbest things I have seen posted in a while.

US Dollars are used for 99.99 % of online transactions, yet the author totally ignores this fact  :D :D :D

CRYPTO VS FIAT:  This is easy,  Crypto can crash a huge amount in a day, US Dollars do not and are stable enough to use in real business...

That's certainly true, mate. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot be used for everything, as not everyone accepts them as a medium of exchange. For most people, Fiat is the currency of choice for day-to-day payments because it's backed by the government (not to mention that it's stable in price). Thousands of merchants and businesses around the world accept Fiat, while that's not the case with crypto today. However, there are cases where crypto is necessary when you want to achieve true sovereignty over your money. If you're worried about governments confiscating your assets, banks freezing your accounts, or any other undesired events, crypto is the way to go. Depending on the scenario or situation you're dealing with, will be the currency to use for payments in the mainstream world.

Neither Fiat is better than crypto or vice versa. Comparing them, is comparing Apples vs Oranges. After all, volatile prices of crypto prevents anyone from using it as a currency for day-to-day transactions. It's more like a long-term investment than anything else. That is until prices become stable and crypto becomes scalable for the whole world to use. Once that happens, people will use crypto as they would with ordinary Fiat. Despite this, I believe that both ends (crypto and Fiat) will co-exist alongside each other for many years to come. The same way people still use precious metals like Gold and Silver as alternatives to Fiat, the same will apply to crypto. After all, this is part of the worldwide economy. Just my thoughts ;D

In my perspective the only advantage that Fiat has, is it can be used for offline transactions for example if a user has no internet or electricity Cash is useful.
But in terms of security, anonymity, decentralization and doesn't require personal data, safe from germs and fast sending & receiving money, without questions ask.
Easily and conveniently in usage with only a wallet needed to send huge amounts.

This past months the world are suffering in the crisis, because it has a virus that spreads throughout the world. This virus called Coronavirus known as COVID-19, this virus are easily transfer through cough and touching things, so that the fiat currencies is the other reasons why the virus are spreading. Other countries are just avoid on using fiat currencies just to prevent of the virus on spreading it. This time I must go with the crypto currencies just to prevent of passing the virus by touching the fiat currencies. Crypto currencies are can also used with some stores that has an online transaction and used it as a medium in paying money.

The problem with fiat currencies is that they don't have a supply limit. You can see that the central banks have printed trillions of dollars already. This will flood the markets with new money. People and corporations will get free money. However, the problem is the more something is available the less valuable it is. So, if the central banks continue to abuse their money printers, soon we'll all become millionaires. We'll have 10's of millions of dollars, but the problem will be we won't be able to buy much with a million dollars. They will be enough only for a single grocery shopping.

On the other side is Bitcoin. It has a strictly limited supply which no body can inflate. This way Bitcoin is scarce, and you know scarce things are more valuable than abundant ones.

So, with the current situation, we need to turn our fiat currencies to Bitcoin. The rest of the alt coins are too small with much worse security and are often centrally controlled. In one word they're too risky! So keep your money in Bitcoin!

It is very difficult to determine which is the best, because I combine both to earn money and fulfill life. I get a good opportunity to earn extra money with cryptocurrency through trading, I use the profits to meet everyday needs more effectively if converted to fiat. Crypto is effective for investment, and effective for daily payments :) of course, it depends on the needs and choices of each, and I choose the best, rather than having to choose, it's better to maximize the potential of both to get extra comfort.

Well, crypto can also be used for offline transactions too. All you need is to connect to a local mesh network (using GoTenna) to start sending/receiving Bitcoin without Internet access. You can also use the Samourai Wallet's "Offline Mode" to fully interact with Bitcoin just like you would with physical cash. There are also bearer instruments like the OpenDime credit stick and the Tangem Card which allows anyone to send crypto physically without being online whatsoever.

With all of the benefits crypto provides over Fiat, I believe that it could gather the likes of everyday people sometime in the future. Since physical banknotes/bills are prone to contamination (germs and bacteria), they could be "phased out" soon. With the recent coronavirus pandemic, people will look for alternative ways to send/receive payments worldwide without the need to use physical cash ever. Of course, we have credit/debit cards but they're not as cheap or effective as crypto is. It's no secret that scalable cryptocurrencies are many times faster and cheaper to use than traditional payment processors or credit/debit cards. While crypto's biggest downside is price volatility, that's not an issue you'll be dealing with when conducting crypto payments directly.

Nonetheless, I believe that crypto will prevail in a way where governments will have no choice but to switch into the digital realm. Which means, we'll be seeing governments issuing their own digital currencies for the world to use sometime in the future. Rest assured that both ends (crypto and Fiat) will live alongside each other for many generations. Depending on a person's preferences will be the currency to use for transactions in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts ;D

Claiming that cryptocurrency is better because fiat money is controlled and centralized looks like a rude mistake.

Completely agree with you, mate. Both Fiat and crypto are completely different things. Comparing them is like comparing apples vs oranges. We need both of them for different situations in our daily lives. Fiat has always been a part of our lives, since it's backed by the government. Most businesses, merchants, and companies accept Fiat for daily payments while that's not the case with crypto. This is largely because Fiat is stable and trusted by many people worldwide, while crypto is not. There are times where we may need to use crypto when we want true censorship-resistance over our hard-earned money. In this case, crypto wins against Fiat by a long shot because it provides freedom to the people with its decentralized nature. No one can confiscate your funds or freeze your account at will.

There are some merchants, businesses, and companies which accept crypto for daily payments. But compared to Fiat, the number of people accepting crypto for mainstream commerce is very low. Neither Fiat will be able to replace crypto or vice versa. Both types of currencies will prevail for a very long time. Depending on people's needs, will be the currency to use in the mainstream world. You can live without crypto, but you cannot live without Fiat. I'd recommend that you'd live on both crypto and Fiat for true peace of mind. They have their unique advantages/disadvantages for different situations in life, so using them wisely will allow you to preserve your financial future. Just my opinion :)

The simple way to understand this is that fiat has been here since years and systems of payment have been developed to become more in a digital landscape just in the recent decade. Of course the acceptance and usage of fiat is much higher. Crypto has its own niche usage and a cult following. Majority of the people who use crypto are in it for the long term value and not transacting on it. Storing crypto for its value is becoming more important for the next generation and the current generation.

The future is unknown but people are optimistic about bitcoin being used more in transacting than just hodling or trading.

Fiat is easier for everyday use. It is much faster and more reliable for use for me, and the stores do not accept any cryptocurrency from us, so there is no choice. Although fiat is good when the currency is kept at a stable level or is strengthened. If everything is completely bad, then it is better to store it in Bitcoin and sell it for needs.

Exactly. Fiat has been long before even Bitcoin or crypto existed in the mainstream world. People trust Fiat more than crypto because it's backed by the full faith and credit of the government. It's stable in price and widely used among mainstream businesses and merchants alike. Neither crypto can replace Fiat or vice versa. They're two completely different things. One is backed by the people (crypto), while the other is backed by the government (Fiat). Depending on what you want to achieve in daily life, will be the type of currency to use as payment method. Crypto has benefits, but it also has its downsides. The same can be said with Fiat.

I believe that both asset types will simply grow alongside each other as time goes by. With governments getting close to launch CBDCs, Fiat will become somewhat-comparable to crypto in the future. The only difference lies in the way they're structured (either centralized or decentralized). The rest will be more of the same. Remember, you can live without crypto but you cannot live without Fiat. That's because everyone accepts Fiat as legal tender, but not everyone accepts crypto as payment method. As long as you keep this in mind, you'll know which currency to use from the other for mainstream transactions. Just my opinion :)

This is what I'm talking about, the discussion for fiat replacement with cryptocurrency is not as possible as it seems because it is very complicated and complex. We might revise all that we already have just to put the cryptocurrency in between. I'm not being negative or anti-bitcoin I'm just stating that we are not yet capable of doing these things although we can bring this back to light after the covid19 since we can already argue that bitcoin is good alternative in crisis like this.

People already got fiat currency and bitcoin was not suppose to replace it because it is intended just to be an alternative, not even just an investment stuff for us. Crypto, digital cash, digital currency is not even an idea until 1980s, fiat currency is running the world for so long that an alternative could not run after it. But the thing is it would be so good if we are going to see a cryptocurrency fully backed by fiat currency, it is like fiat currency 2.0.

Crypto has benefits, but it also has its downsides. The same can be said with Fiat.
And that downside is the main problem why we can't have it as soon as we want it. The rest is just a win for crypto over the fiat. I also think that we are not ready yet for transition since we are divided individually not just as a country but in everything.

Crypto is amazing everything is becoming more fine and simple in terms of payments to the help of crypto. I think we need to used crypto over fiat. But the problems is crypto is not controlled by the government because it is fully decentralized so many people also used fiat over crypto. Anyway we can still used both crypto and fiat.

Yes, Fiat currency is more stable then cryptocurrency but you have to think for next generation. We have to think for next 30-50 years when science and technology will be more advance. So there online currency like crypto is more reliable and on the other hand you must have to think for your time, risk that consumption by using cryptocurrency.

Finally stablility does not creats in a day. As every government is researching about cryptocurrency, one day there would be worldwide acceptance and guideline, until then you have to wait.

I prefer fiat over cryptocurrency for my daily use. You cannot pay your bills using cryptocurrency in my country. They both have their own benefits. I prefer cryptocurrency as an investment and earning opportunity, you cannot overlook the power of Bitcoin and its growth.

Things will be surely different in the future as more and more vendors have started accepting cryptocurrency as a payment.
