Post by: Malvika_sitlani on March 02, 2020, 12:46:34 PM
Does Abra wallet support Chainlink? I want to buy some Chainlink with BTC, will this wallet help? Please suggest to me some wallet where I can store Chainlink.

Chainlink is an ERC20 token developed at top of Ethereum. It can be stored using any of your Eth address.
In simple words, if you are using Eth wallet that gives you your private key, then you are fine to store linkchain or any other ERC20 token.
I advice you to use MEWconnect to create a secure wallet. There do exist many other alternatives but i think this the best friendly use wallet for ethereum, also for security reasons.
I don't know about Abra wallet.

According to their official support page, Abra doesn't support Chainlink[1]. As for the wallet, as mentioned above, anything that supports Ethereum should support it. Trust Wallet, Metamask, etc.

Or better yet, if you're holding significant amounts of LINK and any other cryptocurrency, go the hardware wallet route:

https://ledger.com/
https://trezor.io/

Thank you so much for the detailed and simplified explanation. I will definitely try the eth wallet to grab some Chainlink. Also will research some more wallet if it will work.

As abra supports eth, ZRX,enjin, etc so I assumed that it will support Chailink as well. Now onwords I will use the eth wallet.

Not sure I have used or ever heard of Abra wallet. But there are other good wallets you can store your $Link. I personally would recommend AtomicWallet. AtomicWallet is a one of it's kind secured non-custodial wallet for managing of various kinds of cryptocurrencies. I currently manage my $Link on the wallet. And I must confess I love it.

Many wallets now support ChainLink already. Since LINK has not yet completed the mainnet, it can be purchased as an ETH token. I bought some LINK and now I keep it on Trust wallet . You can also keep it on Ledger right now, if you want. I'm sure it will support Ledger LINK after the mainnet.

I am holding LINK tokens I have purchased at Trust wallet(you can reach my review about Trust from here) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5228884.msg53922636#msg53922636). Apart from that, Ledger is a good option for LINK and many other cryptocurrency. I would also like to remind you that ChainLink can still be purchased as an ERC20 token and stored in ETH wallets.

If you check the list of supported coins on both sites, you'll notice that Ledger doesn't support CHAINLINK, not even using third party wallets. Trezor's page does, but you have to use the beta version.
