Title: [Funny] Warren Buffett launching Button Coin
Post by: Qcrypto on March 02, 2020, 02:49:41 PM
This post  (https://crypto-potential.com/post/warren-buffett%E2%80%99s-bitcoin-button)on Crypto-Potential. Made me chuckle.

I respect Warren Buffett, he is the most accomplished investor of our time but his views on Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency lately made him a target of many Bitcoin supporters.

Sometimes sarcasm is just what is needed

there is nothing to see except some shitty website linking a medium post/joke from 11 months ago!

and yeah it is funny until they actually scam some people like they did in 2017 by lying about this company and that bank and those personalities were involved in their altcoin or in their ICO just to scam people!

I idolize him because of his success as an investor having a total net worth of $90 billion and fourth wealthiest person in the world. What I don't like about him is that he always manipulate other's mind to gain and attain his personal interest. Warren Buffet is not an idiot to not to see the value of bitcoin in todays world after jumping $1billion market cap, can't he contain this very obvious opportunity? Do you really think he can't?

“I’ll tear off a button here. What I’ll have here is a little token…I’ll offer it to you for $1000, and I’ll see if I can get the price up to $2000 by the end of the day… But the button has one use and it’s very limited use,”

If this line by Warren Buffet made you think, then read it again and think twice.

Because technology has never been Warren Buffett's thing. It's the reason why he has colleagues on Berkshire to handle the tech-related investment opportunities.

Also, looking at something as an opportunity just because it reached $1billion in market cap is generally a bad idea. He's a value investor, not a speculator.

Let be more careful with what we read and follow online especially when it come to ICO or IEO projects that end up associating themselves with those whom we see as small god. Things like this has happened some years back were many investors lose their hard earned money to fraudulent projects like this. Warren B said it clear and open, he's not one of us as he claimed and let it be. What you just showed has not link to warren Buffett, believe me, this project is targeted to scam newborn investors again. Let's be wise and do our research before invest.

The way I understood the post author was making a joke about Warren Buffett launching Button coin since in the medium article he talked about selling his Button (not ICO related).
Seems the author did not quite transfer his sarcastic message.

I thought this was something new, don't know what made me think there was anything interesting to look at here.

I think there's already too much sarcasm, so it tends to lose its effect over time (to me, anyway). Anyone able to get me crack a smile without using the dark arts these days in Bitcoin? Now that's a winner.

Who are these guys targeting Warren anyway? Don't they got better things to do with their time? Like Bitcoin for example?

this is the better thing that they are doing with their time!
they need traffic to their websites to be able to increase their rank and earn money from their crappy advertisement banners that fills their sites. what better clickbait than Warren Buffet and his quotes about bitcoin. it doesn't even matter if they are real or not, they just publish it to get the traffic.

Well damn me, I am in the wrong business (or in the right one but not using the right strategy to make money). I mean, been writing a bit on the "news" site ever since 2016, and the last time I actually took in money from that sector was in 2018. I'm so serious I suddenly feel quite stupid right now wasting my time (in terms of monetary compensation anyway). Perhaps it really does take some kind of steel and a certain sense of getting into people's heads to make money.

Well, it may be better than pure bitterness over Warren Buffet's explicit dislike or even criticism of crypto. People should begin to accept that crypto is not the old legend's cup of tea and move on doing something better and more productive in life.

Talking of sarcasm about the Warren Buffet issue, Justin Sun has his own. In his  tweet (https://twitter.com/justinsuntron/status/1232189050846507008), he mentioned about WARRENCOIN which is going to be built on Tron and has 7 billion supply so that everyone all over the world has one and be Warren's fan. Well, it wasn't received well by many twitter users as shown by the replies.

i have to add that i think many of these sites that are trying so hard to increase their traffic aren't focusing on making money from that[/t] traffic but instead focus on increasing their stats so that they can sell the site to some poor bastard who may think the site is "popular" and can make money from it. in other words they are farming news sites!

I don't understand why people are attacking him so much.
He doesn't like it and that's it, you can't force everybody to be an investor and praise bitcoin, what is this, back to dictatorship?

He is not investing in anything modern but he is doing an amazing job in the things he knows, let's assume everybody would quit investing in the old stuff that are the basis for our daily life and everyone would jump on all these unicorns that end up bankrupt in 99% cases.
Since we're talking about billions and we have this virus thing going on, do you guys remember Theranos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theranos)? evaluation of 10 billion down the drain, Zenefits, Solyndra, Jawbone and others, billions and billions in projects that end up with nothing.

Ok, he doesn't like cryptocurrencies, I dislike tokens, is there a problem?

I thought this was something new, don't know what made me think there was anything interesting to look at here.

Alpha one, clickbait successful! I repeat, the target has taken the bait!  :D

Or better yet, be careful on the links we posted here, I don't like to be a victim of click bait, but those who read it says that it is an old article, so just a remember for members to check first before linking it up here.

We all know that Warren is an old traditional dinosaur who doesn't like tech stuff so who are going to fall for this trick? Yes, his wisdom is to be behold, he made lots of money, fortunes that we can only imagine, but him getting into crypto bandwagon? not his forte.

It seems to me that cryptocurrencies are not interesting to Warren, maybe he himself is aware of their capabilities, but still they need to devote too much times, and besides, they are not a branch of the real economy and are still not perfect.

Well, without a doubt, these types of publications are good, apart from bitcoineeeeeet, which is impossible not to remember the greatest of all scams, however, this causes some kind of reaction in the world of cryptocurrencies, the fact of seeing Warren Buffet thus interacting in The world of cryptocurrencies is already interpreted as a good step, even to joke.

Is this for real?  I don't  really think this post is actually real and i don't think Warren Buffet has an intention of creating a digital crypto coin. This article is one of those posts where people just  wanna create traffic on the site or platform. But if this is true,  it will not have an success on the crypto market.
