Title: Has anyone used Bold Beast mobile phone recording?
Post by: Kuffy on March 03, 2020, 09:00:08 AM
I need to record some of my telephone conversations for legal reasons. I have a Huawei smartphone, which is an Android based device. I have an assortment of recording devices, but the simplest option seems to be the use of an app called Bold Beast. This does not require root access, and seems to use the bluetooth connection in some way. I'm very cautious about installing apps, and this is why I would like some comments, and/or advice about this app.

The android page for this program is here - https://www.boldbeast.com/android/call_recorder.html

Please note - I have no knowledge of this product, and have discovered it via Google and YouTube, but it appears to be reputable as far as I can see.

I'm pretty sure you can record a call from within an android phone since quite a few versions ago (my 4.0.0 phone can afaik as I accidentally did it once - my 8.0 one should be able to too).

I could only find a way to record one side of the conversation. I think it was the incoming part.

The advantage of the Bold Beast seems to be that you don't have to give it root access.
