i was thinking a long time ago that the pharmacist and actmyname are both controlled and farmed by the same person. that is a genius idea lauda. i see that is already happened to the pharmacist as he nows a member of chipmixer because darkstar gave him a permenent spot in order to avoid the competition and wont be biased to anyone else. i think darkstar did a good job there to help stop the evil of the pharmacist or maybe not? And maybe pharmacist will still continue his good deeds? Very weird that he merited one of my posts, and I remember thinking it was weird at the time too. Ah the good old days of the merit system, ya gotta love it. Also what I remember from back then was that people were getting huge amounts of merits for their posts, even if those posts were just mediocre. The system was brand new and a lot of people didn't realize how important and valuable merits would become, particularly to lower-ranked members. It seems like now everyone doesnt have to bother searching for posts where their first merit gets. BPIP gives us the ease to find out with step: https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=your username and you will see who sent the first merit to you and its at the end of the list. ;) Please try and it is truly amazing. You can extract it via his dashboard > User Summary > search for your ID or name > then go to Received Merit TXs. You can find there the thread where you posted your reply as well as the user that give you your first merit. You can click the three lines there to put it in ascending or descending order so you can easily find it. Credits all to DdmrDdmr it is really a great tableau. Edit: I just checked it out and I got my very first merit from Coolcryptovator (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1980983) for this reply, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5044840.msg46563286#msg46563286 about 18 months ago. Ddmrddmr didn't merit me until after like six other people had, I probably remember his cause he accompanied it with a couple of encouraging words for the newbie back then. I must admit that it felt very good, getting the first merit despite being just an ordinary post, but most importantly it was certainly and incentive and proof that getting merit is not an impossible mission and set me onto the next goal, 10 merits.
Next few merits were also in the Politics&Society board that i was visiting a lot at the beginning of my bitcointalk adventure, but lately I stopped spending any time there writing, mostly just lurking. I'd also like to thank my (formerly but still) fellow Chipmixer team who always liked and motivated my work with their merits showered on those posts.
